Have you heard of Matrescence? If the answer is No and you are feeling stuck overwhelmed and like you've lost who you are in Motherhood this is the Podcast for you.

I'm Natasha a Mum and Therapist and my goal as a Mother is to show my kids that happiness isn't just a myth you read about in fairy tales. I'm on a journey to normalise the transition we go through as Mothers and help you not just survive it but create lives that feel even better than they did before you became a parent.

Learning to be a Good Enough Mum- Accepting we cant control everything.

6 years and 2 kids and I dont know how many clients down one thing I can safely say I see again and again that sucks away our joy is trying to control and micromanage everything our children do. It makes sense when you become a Mum you feel completely out of control so the obvious thing to try and control is our kids. Their sleep, diet, schedules and behaviour can become the benchmark of whether we are succeeding or failing in life. This episode is about letting go and accepting children like ad...

Helping vs enabling what Christmas has brought up in the Therapy room.

This week I'm talking about enabling behaviour. It's going to be one of those topics you might want to switch off from because the thing about therapy is it's not always comfortable, but the reality is nothing amazing happens in our comfort zone. Enabling is about avoiding the uncomfortable avoiding that difficult conversation and doing what we can to keep the peace. This means accepting the short-term gain but will inevitably lead to long-term pain and before you say no I dont do that listen. W...

Why I love January

I'm back after a bit of a Hiatus (loss in motivation/Christmas overwhelm). And what better day for my first episode of 2024 than Blue Monday? Ive decided to make all the new episodes 15 minutes so you can squeeze them in when you get them in during a quiet car ride, if you get the chance to make dinner in peace or when you're working out or going for a walk. This week is my top tips to reframe January as I have learned to love January. I used to dread this cold dark month and now it's one of my ...

All the things I wish I knew before I became a parent.....

I recorded this a few weeks ago after my Birthday turning 37. I used my Birthday and that feeling that I am far too close to 40 to look back at everything I'm grateful for and everything Ive learnt in my client work and on my own Motherhood journey I wish someone had told me before I became a Mum. Share this with any Mums who are in the thick of it or who are about to become Mums. I hope this gives you some hope on the hard days. If you are struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel Th...

Why Boundaries are the key to Happy healthy Relationships.

Boundaries is one of my favourite things to talk about and something I have just converted in the Happy Mum course and was so excited to share on the podcast. Often when we hear boundaries we think of parenting but actually we need healthy boundaries in every area of our lives. Creating healthy boundaries is such a huge part of self-care and feeling valued. It's the first step I would advise any burnout Mum to look into and having healthy boundaries are probably the biggest reason I love being a...
