Episode description

To bean or not to bean?  “The danger here is the emotion.”  On this episode of The High Ground, powered by Premier Companies, popular returning guest, Aaron Bledsoe, joins hosts Sal Sama and Ryan Priest in the podcast room.  Aaron is the Grain Merchandiser for Premier Companies, and he has a front row seat to how the USDA reports and river issues impact the grower.

Aaron, Sal, and Ryan will chat about where we are this year compared to last year in new and old crop prices and a recap of many of the major things impacting our prices over the past year.  They’ll also discuss how global conditions could impact the 2023 growing season here in the United States and Aaron’s advice as to whether or not growers should sell their stored beans.  Aaron will also share how the average contract works and why it might make sense to participate in that program.  “It’s just one big puzzle, trying to piece it together.”
