12. Why I Stopped Drinking Alcohol At 28 (1 Year Reflection)
Jan 19, 2021•35 min•Season 1Ep. 12
Episode description
In this episode, I’m covering my journey from a blackout drunk to one year sober. (Think losing house keys, broken phones, and not knowing how I got home.) Making the decision to quit drinking isn’t for everyone, but a choice that aligns best for me in my own life.
I realised late 2019 and into 2020, that alcohol was numbing the pain I ignored for too long. When it stopped numbing and started making the hurt worse—I knew I needed to make the change.
In this episode I cover:
- Why I decided to stop drinking
- How I got to my lowest point
- The process of quitting
- The challenges of navigating sobriety
- Revelations from reflecting on the last year and
- Questions to ask yourself
