Episode #3 ~ Move For Happiness

Hosted by Kyle Mackie on July 8th, 2019.

Thanks, for listening to episode #3 of the Happy Millennial Podcast.
On this podcast, Kyle speaks about the importance of movement in your life in order to increase your happiness. This is done through the release of hormones, which increase energy, pleasure, metabolism, and so much more, which ultimately lowers your stress and increases your happiness.

Given Kyle's 13 years of fitness industry experience, he also goes over how to start if you are starting from nowhere and also gives a quick overview of how to evolve your routine. Specifically, he gives the breakdown of how all strength routines should look when starting from scratch, new to exercise, or just crunched for time.
Check out the example below:

7 Exercises Circuit with 10-15 reps for each exercise and 3-4 sets. This should take roughly 20 minutes.

1 - Lower Body Push (Example: Squats/ Lunges)

2 - Lower Body Pull (Example: Dead Lift/ Glute Bridge)

3 - Horizontal Push (Example: Push Up/ Bench Press)

4 - Horizontal Pull (Example: Row/ Reverse Fly)

5 - Vertical Push (Example: Shoulder Press/ Lateral Raise)

6 - Vertical Pull (Example: Lat Pulldown/ Pull Ups)

7 - Abs (Example: Plank/ Leg Raise)

Give it a try or simply just move.
Any exercise is better than no exercise, even a 5-minute walk per day is a great start. The most important thing is simply to move.
