Episode description

My guest for The Happy Hour #334 is J.D. Greear. J.D. Greear is currently serving as the 62nd president of the Southern Baptist Convention and is pastor of one of the fastest-growing churches in North America, The Summit Church, which is located in Raleigh-Durham, N. C. In this episode, we talk about the challenge of parenting teenagers as we get ready to launch them into the world, and how to lead Christ-followers to a state of unity without uniformity as we face sin and injustice. He also dives into a very important topic about the problem with teaching children to ask Jesus into their hearts, and what coming to salvation really looks like. I definitely used those terms in the past as a parent and was also taught similarly to myself growing up. But I love so much when pastor J.D. says, “Conversion is a posture you begin to take for the finished work of Christ. You assume that posture in a moment. You hold that posture for a lifetime.” For the full summary and show links, click the link below!
