Episode description

In this age of Insta and looking 'filter perfect' in real life, what affect is it having on our mental health and the way we think of our looks?

Body dysmorphia (BDD) affects men and women a-like in equal measure and can have disastrous effects on people's lives and the lives of their families, plus it can mean that sufferers seek (and sometimes get) procedures and surgery as a result.

Dr Linda Papadopoulos is a leading psychologist and came into the clinic to speak to Fiona and Maryam about what BDD is, how it can be treated and how to spot it in yourself and others.
