Episode description

Poet and Activist Mona Haydar joins me this episode to talk about her background, "Ask a Muslim", recent viral video and future projects. Prior to the release of her viral hit video, "Hijabi" (currently over 1.1M views on YouTube), her husband Sebastian and her decided to setup a stand in Cambridge, Massachusetts with signs that read "Ask a Muslim", "Talk to a Muslim", "free coffee and donuts", and "free conversation" encouraging open dialogue. Mona shares her upcoming video called "Dog", which addresses the current problem of Muslim men in positions of power preying on young women.
