Not What I Want, but What God Wants. Sounds good, but Do We Mean It?

We were just getting into a groove. Things were going according to plan and in our eyes, it was exactly where we were supposed to be. Our plans were right on schedule. Then, Mark had a dream - well, dreams, that would change our course for the foreseeable future. God revealed His plans and they were clear. So now what? We’re choosing to obey. Obedience to God invites Him into everything. The first impact was in our prayer life. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6 to go into our prayer closet and pray the will of our Father and not our own. That reality has changed how we communicate with God, and each other within our marriage.

1. Can God pin my precise location using my prayers?
2. Who told you what a man or woman is? The world or God?
3. What happens when God’s plans for us contrast our own?
