¶ it's time to wake up
Hi everyone, and welcome back to another podcast episode. My name is Lisha Gogan, the host of the Globe Secrets podcast, where I help you expand your mind and become more self aware so you can glow up into the best version of yourself. Hello and happy Sunday if you're listening to this on a Sunday. So in today's episode, I wanted to kind of be like an awakening for all of us, and I want to express some things that I have been thinking about and recently I have been
really enjoying summer. Summer is the time that I feel like I am the most alive, I feel the most motivated. It's just like the best time for most people. I feel, not everyone, but I just love the sun. I thrive in the sun. There's just so much to do. The days feel so long, and I really enjoy it. And I was thinking, how, you know, we're in the middle essentially, kind of like the middle of July already, and how
summer is flying by. And I have really been resting in a lot of gratitude and stillness in my life recently and thinking about how I really do want to not even just capitalize on this season of life, but really be here in this season of life, because one day I'm not gonna have summer, Like at the end of this year, there's gonna be winter again, and things might feel a little bit harder, or the days will in fact feel shorter because the sun won't be out
for so long, it will feel colder. And this is not to set myself up for feeling like it's gonna be a dread. You guys know how we've been changing our mindsets around winter. But the reality is there will be change and things that I was thinking about even deeper, which I don't even really want to say, but I actually think it can be helpful for many of us to think about these things, not in an existential crisis sort of way, but just the reality of life, which is,
one day I'm not going to be here. One day I will not have the health that I have right now. One day I will not have THEO. And if you guys are knew here, THEO is my puppy. He's six almost seven months old, but there will be a day where I don't have him my relationship. One day I will not have that relationship, and that's maybe just because we will get old and one of us will leave and then the other one, you know what I mean. Or parents. I lost my mom in the wintertime, and
that is the reality of life. I lost my father as well. One day we will not have our parents, or we will not have friends, or things will change, or maybe we won't live in the same place that we once did. Like I live in the city right now, and I feel like I used to kind of resist that because I am not necessarily the biggest city girl. But I've learned to embrace it and be like, I'm never going to have this moment again when I am
twenty seven, twenty eight, twenty nine living downtown Toronto. There's gonna come a time and a place where I'm gonna move on to another thing, and I'm sure it will be beautiful, but I won't have this time. And I don't want to look back in my life and be like, wow, I just really wished for it to go quicker and faster.
And with these realizations, I've been really trying to be present and be grateful and really enjoy what I have in this moment, whether it's spending a lot of time with my dog and really just being there and embracing the fact that I have my puppy right now and I will have many years with him, yes, but right now I have him and that is amazing. Or the relationship that I have. Yes, I'm probably going to have
this relationship for many, many, many, many many years. But again, you know that one day when I don't like I wanna be here now, or even when it comes to my health, and I've had many times where my health was taken away from me, so I already know that feeling. But right now I feel really good and thinking about let's say winter, maybe it's not that I'm going to be sick, but maybe there's gonna be more days where it's gloomy and than not, and the gloominess it does
definitely affect me. So I really just want to be here with the sun and so on the weekends when there's things to do, people to see, whether to be enjoyed. I'm really trying to remind myself go out and take on life and embrace it because it will be gone and maybe it's just for a season and maybe something
better will come. We don't always have to, like I said, think about it in the sense of like everything so negative and existential, but the truth is things will absolutely change now going a layer deeper, I was really journaling and sitting with myself and thinking about why is it that we can so easily not be in the present moment right and kind of push off, you know, plans or seeing people or taking things for granted, or wasting
our time. We waste so much time and we don't take care of ourselves a lot, and we go into old patterns and things like that, like what are we why are we always doing that? Why is it so easy for us to take these things for granted and forgets? And so this is really what I want to talk about in this episode, is bringing your awareness and like even bringing my awareness to some of the things that will make us forget and really distract us and keep
us asleep. Honestly, I feel like when we take things for granted, when we stay small, when we willingly or unwillingly waste our time with things that I'll be talking about, or we just don't go out into the world and expand and evolve, I feel like we are genuinely asleep and we can be so not aware of these things
¶ addiction
because of all the things that can be put in place that almost like create illusions for us. And I don't want to go too into like everything's an illusion and oh there's a bunch of conspiracies and things like that, But I think that you guys will resonate to some of the things that I'm going to talk about. So we can talk about one thing, which is our addictions to things. I think genuinely all of us struggle on the spectrum of addiction and in many forms. There's many
things that you can be addicted to. Of course, the one we always think about is drugs, but it could be other things, like drugs that aren't like those hard drugs that you see people out in the streets doing, pharmaceutical slash prescription drugs, and it could be for all sorts of things. And I'm not here to say some of these things don't help us in many ways, of course, but many of us can be addicted to those things, or even cannabis or things that are more normalized, or
even social drinking and things like that. And again I'm not one to advocate black and white thinking black and white living all or nothing. We need to be one hundred percent straight, no, like you guys know, But I'm just calling a spade a spade. There's many things or even when it comes to caffeine addiction, food addiction, eating tons of sugar and having crashouts and those unhealthy relationships of food that you typically go in in those cycles
when you're in the shackles of those things. Or it could be things like spending, spending a lot of money or insane amount of socializing and partying that is not aligned to maybe you and your deep values. And a big one for a lot of us is our damn phones. Another thing that keeps us asleep. And I want to
¶ trauma
be very gentle with this because a lot of this is really not our fault, but it's our traumas when we come from relational trauma, whether that's from parents, any sort of caregivers, environments, people around us, like romantic relationships, especially from the past. Those things they really do keep
us in cycles. You know, when we go out in the real world and we want to find love or get into relationships or friendships or even working relationships things like that, a lot of these relationships really mirror what we have been taught about relationships or what we think we deserve based off of what we got in our childhoods and a lot of times we don't come from the best relationships. Not everyone, of course, but a lot
of us. We come from a lot of dysfunction, and so we will typically keep matching up with those same cycles, those same relationship wounds, and that keeps us in cycles on healthy relationships, toxic relationships, relationships where we do not grow, codependency, all of those things, and that keeps us stuck. It keeps us away from the things that I'm going to talk about after I continue on. But those things absolutely can keep us asleep the next thing. And I don't
¶ social systems, misinformation, propaganda, scarcity
want to go too much in here, Okay, I don't. I don't want to open up a huge can of worms here because I don't think that this is my content in its entirety anyways. But it's good to mention our systems and our structures when it comes to society. Okay. I think that there is a lot of misinformation, a lot of information, a lot of scarcity, a lot of things that are hidden from us and we are being infiltrated. That's not I don't want to even use that word
because that seems like a little much. But whatever there is, in my personal opinion, a lot of things that have been fed to us through the media that is not necessarily the truth. That can be propaganda, that can be fear mongering, that can really drive a lot of scarcity and drive us away from what, in my opinion, we should be more connected to. And it keeps us duck once again, when we are afraid, when we are misinformed, we are not growing, we are not healthy, we are
not thriving. Another thing that can keep us asleep is
¶ our food systems & big pharma
our food systems. And again this comes from a lot of misinformation and a lot of things that are being covered up. Well they're really uncovered now, but I'll just
give one example of like big pharma. And again I am not a advocate for completely disregarding all medicine and the medical systems can do for us, even in the more like westernized sense of everything, because I've also gone through the healthcare system and I've had a lot of health issues, and for example, i have IBD in the form of ulcrative clitis, and that disease needs to be controlled with medication, but also lifestyle changes and managing your
stress and emotional states and eating well and things like that, and a lot of those things are not pushed when it comes to big pharma and the medical system, and you have to go on your own journey and learn a lot about that. And when you learn a lot about that, you'll actually learn that maybe too much of the big farmer is kind of being pushed on you.
But again with something like IBD, like in an autoimmune disease, and honestly a lot of things I do need medication sometimes to help when it comes to aiding in a flare up that would not be able to be controlled with me just going on an emotional journey or deciding that I want to change my diet today, or whatever the case is. I think that there can be a very symbiotic relationship with those two, but I think not a lot of people are even informed or aware about that.
But also outside of the big pharma situation, we have been told a lot of lies when it comes to what is good for us, when it comes to food and the things that are pushed on us. And again, I am not somebody who moves through life being a huge conspiracy theorist, thinking that everyone is against me and
the devil is coming for me. And this that because I do not think that I will ever be able to be empowered if I'm constantly operating out of fear, because I think that when you are constantly operating out of fear, you actually cannot think clearly and you cannot survive. So you need to think critically and you need to
have discernment, but you need not to be afraid. Do not be afraid, I guess, is what I'm saying, even though I know there's a lot of things to be afraid of in this world, like genuinely I get it, but those things will keep us sick, and it will keep us stuck and keep us in loops. And when you are sick, when you are constantly having to aid yourself, when you are not eating, well, what is that going
to do. It's going to keep you in bed. It's going to not keep you expanding and growing and going outside and living your life and creating and dreaming and doing the things that I personally think that you should be doing outside of being stuck and depressed. Same thing goes with your mental health. And the last thing I'll
¶ capitalism
touch on, and there's many other things right and I would love to maybe even hear your guys' opinion, but capitalism can really push us into that toxic productivity. And again I actually understand that we just live in a
capitalistic society like it is what it is. It is what it is, and I'm not going to cry about that, but it's to be aware when we are pushed too much to our limits, and when we are operating out of ego and not out of value and not out of love, and those type of things that can be where corruption will kind of form, and there is a lot of it, unfortunately, And when we are overworking and burning ourselves out and not connecting to ourselves and slowing
things down and seeing, you know how we actually only have right now, you know, that really does keep us asleep and keeps us kind of like robotic in a way. Now,
¶ the 7 hermetic principles
in my opinion, what all those things keep us asleep from is a few things. For one, I think it keeps us from understanding how I guess I'll just in this sense you like the universe, how the universe works in more of like a scientific like, some of these things are very science backed, and I know everyone has their different beliefs, so I'm gonna try and be like, I don't know, as open and exclusive as I kind of can. But for this instance, the way the world
can work for us in our favor. And I'm going to use the seven Hermitic principles to explain what I am speaking about. And this is not like my religion, this is not what I even fully believe in entirely,
and I will break other things down. And I think that if you come from a religious background, you might not resonate, and that is totally fine, or maybe if you don't come from anything, you just who knows, Like this is just where I'm at right now in my life and what I have learned before even learning about these principles naturally, just moving through life where I actually was not indoctrinated by anything. I also wasn't raised in
any form of religious beliefs or anything like that. I was just raised to be, you know, as best as I could and a morally right person, I guess. And I had a really loving parent that did the best that she could. And even my father he was very much so a dictator and very very hard on me, and he had his own things, but I think that he just taught me to be as good as I possibly could. And if you're watching on YouTube, THEO is
up and doing whatever he wants to do, which is this? Okay, So let's quickly run through the seven hermetic principles and you can look into this yourself if you want. And if you're on YouTube, I don't know. Feel's like if you're listening to audio, his leg is just pointing up to my chest and you can just see his leg in the video. And that's about it. So it says navigating reality through the laws of the universe, and we will talk about spirit and God after this. Okay, guys.
So the first law is the principle of mentalism. Everything
¶ the principle of mentalism
in the universe is a manifestation of the universal mind, indicating that our thoughts and perceptions shape reality. And I genuinely believe that this is mainly true, and there is a lot of science behind this. If you have a set of beliefs, or if you're convinced of something, you will seek to prove yourself right about those beliefs, and you will find evidence. If you're looking for negativity or
you're looking for positivity, you will find it. If you're looking for opportunities, or if you're looking to have the world show to you that you are a perpetual victim, you will find that evidence you will. And there's something called the reticular activating system, and you can look this up if you want, But essentially, it's this process in our brain that happens when we think about something like prenominantly and we will start to see that out. So if you all of a sudden, I actually I'll give
you an example. I am dating a guy who drives a car. Amazing. That's so good that I'm dating a guy who drives car. Aim in to that. Anyways, I'm not going to say which car, but he drives a specific car and I never would see that car, like I never noticed it. But now that I'm with him, I always notice that car driving all the time, all the time, everywhere we go. And that's because it's in the forefront of my head. That is, because it is now in my awareness. I am around it a lot.
And that is a part of your brain called the
¶ the principle of correspondence
reticular activating system. The next principle is the principle of correspondence, and it says as above, so below, as below so above, which reflects the notion that the macro cosm and the microcosm mirror each other and interstates influence external realities. I think this is very true when it comes to anything
to do with projecting your insecurities or your beliefs. Again, you see this a lot in relationships, or when your relationship is mirroring to you things that you are either not comfortable with with within your own self, or that you actually do that you're being hypocritical about, or you have thrown into your shadow, it actually gets reflected out
to you. And I think a lot of the times relationships, whether it's romantic or like friendships, whatever, they can be really good mirrors to you for the things that maybe you have like blind spots on that actually reside within you that you have not integrated in yourself. Next principle
¶ the principle of vibration
is called the principle of vibration. Everything in the universe is in constant motion, vibrating at different frequencies, affecting our reality and well being. This is kind of more in the realm of quantum physics, and it's a thing. Everything is vibrating, even though we can't see that, even though it's not necessarily relevant too much to this like three
D reality that we live. I don't think we need to hyper focus on the fact that there's different dimensions and there's like a fourth and a fifth one, and we can vibrate and frequencies and things like that, but it is a thing, and it is true that we do vibrate, and there's different frequencies and we are just not fully aware of them all. I guess next is
¶ the principle of polarity
the principle of polarity. Everything has opposites that are actually varying degrees of the same thing, teaching us balance and the ability to transmute energies. I think about this when it comes to alchemy and turning your pain into power. I think a lot of things are very yin and yang, which I believe is going to be kind of like the explanation of the rest of the principles in a way.
¶ the principle of rhythm
The next is the principle of rhythm, and I think I resonate with this principle the most naturally. It's so like once you grow up, I think, and you really become a woman, you step into womanhood and you step into really learning about your cycle and really being connected to your body sematically, like you will just understand this. And it says life is cyclical with natural patterns of ebb and flow, teaching us to adapt and maintain equilibrium ru life's changes. And this is even outside of of
a woman's cycle and our bodies and even nature. It's just like seasons of life. Sometimes things are shitty, sometimes things aren't. Sometimes we are in school, sometimes we're not. Sometimes things are good to relationships, and sometimes they're a little bit rocky. But again, you know you, even as a woman, if you are off of birth control and your hormones are quite balanced, then you're going through four cycles every single month, which means your hormones are evering
and flowing. There's going to be some days where you feel peak energy and some days you do not. Those type of things and understanding that and moving with the rhythm of life and with the rhythm of nature can really allow us to thrive in this life. But if we don't know that, then we are staying asleep. Anyways, back to it. Next one is principle of cause and effect.
¶ the principle of cause and affect
I think a lot of us probably learn this in school. Every cause has its effect and vice versa, emphasizing the importance of intentional actions to shape our lives. Very true. Like when you think of something, you usually will take that action, whether it's good or bad. When you say something positive to somebody, it usually creates an effect. When you say something negative to somebody or even yourself, it will create an effect. When you eat something, it will
create a good or a bad response. It's kind of very simple. Now, I will say, it's a little deeper when it comes to cause an effect, because sometimes there's many reasons for that effect and we are here to understand that and think critically. But that's kind of how things happen in this world. And the last one is
¶ the principle of gender
principle of gender. Everything contains masculine and feminine principles suggesting the need for balance between action and receptiveness for creation and harmony. And I again, I really live by this. I think a lot of the world is kind of like this, and it's really not balanced right now. I think the masculine feminine energy within every single one of us, regardless of the actual gender or whoever we identify as, we have within ourselves, and a lot of times it's
very not balanced. And what I mean by that is a balance of taking that aligned action but also knowing when to rest, Like simply those things you even see that reflected in a woman's hormonalcycle. And I'm not saying that men don't have both. Mathuline feminine. But I'm just saying, for this example, the receptiveness and the slowing down and the taking a break, that's more of the ludeal going into the menstrual, and then you got the follicular and
the ovulation that's more spring summer. You're going into action, you're forward moving. You have literally you have your hormones peeking and allowing you to do such thing like take action and be productive. So bringing it back to the
¶ our disconnection from spirit and god
things that keep us asleep, like our traumas, our bad habits, addictions, societal programming, you know, a big pharma and a food systems and all of those like misinformation, all that kind of stuff. It can keep us asleep to the fact that if you want to believe in this, these principles absolutely govern kind of like the world on a more
like biological natural way of life and moving. And I think when we actually understand and move more, let's save one of the principles moving within the rhythm of life, we gain so much. We actually become the best versions of ourselves when we learn how to slow down, when we learn how to take forward action in a way that's helpful for us and society. Also, it's a great tool to understand that what's within me will be projected outwards.
So if I do not like what I am seeing people, places, and things and consistent cycles that keep happening, the same person that keeps coming into my life in different forms and different fonts and treating me this way, or I never get what I want or life is shitty, Well, can I look within and can I see maybe is there something within me that I am projecting out beliefs or actions that I'm not taking. And I'm not trying
to say we blame ourselves. Coming back to you, a lot of the things aren't really even our faults, but we need to be awakened to that. But once we awaken do let's say, in this example, the hermetic principles or at least some of them, you can use that as a tool, right, Okay, So what I'm really experiencing in my day to day life is more so a reflection of what I am believing and the actions that I am taking and the things that I'm feeding myself.
What happens if I change the things that I'm feeding myself, or like the information I'm in taking or the things that I'm telling myself about what I can have in this world and where my focus is all of those things, and what happens when I do that and I change, and I also maybe move in the rhythm of life and all those things, my reality starts to change. And that is what has happened for me and many people. And I'm sure some of you guys can see in
your own life in different ways. Maybe you're not there yet, but whatever, I think genuinely, that is a huge thing that would allow us to be awakened and to be bigger than we are now and to connect to something that is much deeper than even the laws of the universe, which is God, source, Spirit, whatever you want to call it.
And I think that again, coming to the things that will keep us stuck and asleep and sick and depressed, all of those things disconnect us from ourselves and God in spirit universe, I'm going to kind of put them all into one right. So for me, this is kind of how I look at it. I look at like
the universe and those hermetic principles. I don't live by them, but you know what I mean, Like the way that the universe kind of is operating from what I've experienced as tools in a way that I'm going to move through this world. But at the end of the day, I also do believe that there is some sort of higher consciousness, whether it's God sometimes I call it the universe,
but God. And if you don't believe in any of that, and if it feels weird, but maybe you can even think about it as just like like your highest self, the one that really knows the way or is more connected to love and light. And I think that at the core of who we are before all this shit was put on us, is humans who move with the rhythm of life, but also are connected to unconditional love and peace and harmony and serenity, and can see the lessons and the wisdom in life and move ourselves forward
but also enjoy the present moment. I think that that is what God wants for us, or Spirit wants for us, or our higher selves. And I think when we are connected to something bigger than ourselves, when we are connected to love, when we move from a place of love and not fear, when we understand that we have a lot of value, and there might have been things that have been placed on us that have made us forget that.
But when we do understand that we can live out what our specific path is supposed to be in this world. And whether you want to believe that God created that path or whoever did, I do think that each and every one of us are here for a reason. And when we quiet the noise and we wake up, we can get connected to what we are meant to do here and the wisdom and the lessons of life or what God is speaking to us through and go do
those things and enjoy that life. And I think a way in which that we can also navigate this life and to be enjoyable, and for us to get to that path, which maybe we'll never really know, is to use things like the hermetic principles right understanding, Well, maybe this is actually how the world works in the sense of laws of rhythm and correspondence and mirroring and things like that. So I want to say this to you guys and to myself because I always have things that
I need to wake up to. But we really do need to not only wake up to our own suffering and the ways that we keep ourselves stuck, but also the sometimes lies or misinformation or simply just blind spots that we will always face. In life that will keep us disconnected from ourselves, from God, from the understanding that we know right now, if you want to believe in it, of how the world can really work in our favor, which will then allow us to help others and help
ourselves and be here now and listen. I just don't believe that we come here or we came here to be in consistent suffering. And if that is where you're at, and that is what you're convinced of, then I just pray and I hope that one day you will be able to see that there is more to life. And I'm saying this from a place of experience. I have been through many, many challenging hard times, whether it was sickness,
loss of parents, being around attics, being around hardship. I've also lived in a mind where it was filled with limiting beliefs and self hate and perfectionism and dictatorship essentially, and misinformation. And this is what I do in my podcast. I help you guys move through these things because I have and I still am, like I am never going to be perfect, and there's always going to be things for me to work on, but I have come a very far away and these are some of the things
that naturally I've learned. I have learned that I need to critically think, and I need to ask questions, and I need to be an advocate, and I need to change my mindset about being a victim and no longer moving out of scarcity because that is not going to keep me alive. It is not going to keep me living a fulfilled life or joyful life. I'm not going to to get the things that I want and even become better and do better for other people by staying stuck.
¶ silence your mind
So if you don't even know where to start when it comes to waking up, or maybe you have been like a little wake and you resonate to some of the things that I'm saying and you're like, this is actually overwhelming because there's so many things to learn, and there's so many things to dive deep in, and what
do I do? Where are my blind spots and listen for one, Like I said, You're always gonna have blind spots and it's okay, and you can live an amazing, prosperous life and you can do good in this world. You can do good for yourself with having these blind spots. Like if there was no blind spots. If there was no like you being asleep, then like what would we be doing in life? I do think that's a part of our journey, whatever we end up doing here or whatever God's path is for us. I do think it's
about discovering and rediscovering and things like that. But something that you can do, and I would really, really really pray and hope that you do this. Let's say tomorrow, but one thing that you can do, and it's almost so simple that again, what's gonna happen is you're going to have a part of you that is trained to believe that you need to do and be more or things need to be harder than they need to be. And so like, maybe this is just not gonna be
the thing, but just try it out. Is tomorrow or whenever you have the next morning, I want you to just wake up and I want you to create space. And what I mean by that is no podcast, no music, no texting or being on your phone or anything like that. I just want you to feel how it feels to
be in silence. And this doesn't mean you need to sit in meditation or not do the things that you typically do, but it's to start doing more of even your daily practices that you do in silence, because when you quiet your mind and you stop infiltrating it with all the things that you think that you should be listening to, or things that you need to do you or whatever the case is, you will start to connect deeper to what you already know and what's already living
in your soul and what is already connected to spirit, if that's what you believe. I think there's a lot of people right now, I think, especially in this like younger generation, that feel very lost and scared, and they're constantly looking outside of themselves for the answers, and they're feeling unstable. And I'm saying like they, but also like me too, Like I've definitely experienced this as well. But every time I come inwards is when I actually feel
the most safe. And I understand that slowing down can feel unsafe for some people, and there's many reasons for that, but I do think the just whole idea of clearing your mind and creating a little bit more stillness in your mourning will really allow you to see some of your blind spots. Like in ste you will start to experience what it feels like to not live in constant scarcity.
When your mind is more quiet. It doesn't mean that you won't have intuesive thoughts or limiting beliefs or things coming up, or to do this and to do that. But I promise you the simple act of quieting your mind in the morning, when you wake up and just going about your day with nothing in your mind, you will start to have things pop up. I even do this when I'm going on my walk with my dog in the morning. I don't listen to a podcast. I
don't even like. I bring my phone, just like to have it for safety, but I don't go on it, and I just roam. And the more that I roam, and the more that I walk around, and the more that I am taking in nature and people and this, that naturally ideas will flow to me. Naturally, I'll start connecting to my mom naturally, the feeling of what it feels like in the morning, when it's really quiet and the sun is out and the are chirping, and maybe
there's people around. I live in the city, so sometimes it's not super quiet, but my memory goes to specific times in my life or awarenesses that maybe I have. It unlocked for a long time, or I need to and these are all pieces to the puzzle. These are all things that guide me in a way that I know is healthy for me. And instead of doing these types of practices, what we do is we constantly look outside of ourselves and we allow people to infiltrate our minds.
And you need to do this practice or that thing or this information over here, and now you're scared, and now you're afraid, and now you have a million things to do on your to do list, and you feel disconnected from yourself and your body, and you're wondering why you're depressed, why you're anxious. Why we have one hundred million mental health issues and chronic health issues, And same
thing goes with your body. Okay. I find when I am mens treating, and also anytime that I feel a little bit sick, maybe if I'm having a little bit of a colder flu, because my body basically forces me to slow down when it comes to maybe not eating as much. Because let's say, if I'm sick, like typically maybe you lose your appetite or you have to sleep
a lot or whatever. I will typically go into a very awakened state because it's like I'm slowing down and I'm connecting more to myself, even though sometimes it might be a little bit struggling, you know, like maybe you're in a little bit of pain, like I'm not talking
about sometimes those times are really hard. But sometimes when I'm in those states, the loudness of life and all the things that play a role in keeping me asleep, they're kind of no longer there for a moment, and I can see clearly, and I can hear clearly, and I can connect to source clearly, and the best insights come from that. Knowledge comes from that, an idea will come from that. A feeling of I want to go in this direction in my life life comes from that, or this is what I want to do when I
feel better comes from that. And that's all from you and not from everyone else in doctrinating you or telling you what to do or you should do this and that and the third. And that's good information for you to continue to move forward. And it's not always going to be like that. We're not always going to operate
from that place. And I think it's good to have some influence sometimes from people outside of ourselves, because I think sometimes also we can get very delusional, and we can even operate out of our ego sometimes when we are so introspective and only doing things for ourselves and by ourselves. Sometimes that's not healthy. But I think that we are very as a society disconnected to our innate wisdom, and we are disconnected from our biology and how the
world works. And I know it's hard to understand how the world works, because who really even knows. And even when it comes to like the Hermitic principles, the laws of rhythm, some people don't believe in that. Some people don't see it like that. But I just know what to be true for also my own body, and especially when it comes to cycles thinking, I think that that's
a big piece that just really helps me. But anytime I go into meditation, anytime I move my body, anytime I clear my mind and I am peaceful, and I go and I sit in a journal and I don't listen to the world, I have some great wisdom that comes out of that, and I feel really good, and I don't feel the need to constantly overproduce and do more, and I don't feel a sense of inadequacy and feeling
like I'm not enough for this world. So I think that that is a very good practice to do, is to quiet your mind in the morning and see where it takes you. That's it. You don't have to do anything else. But I will say this, if you wake up in the morning and you already kind of do things very quiet and this, that potentially have a journal practice.
And this is kind of like the second piece of this is start writing right to God, talk to your higher self, talk to your inner self, your your parts of you that have been screaming for you to listen, let things out, let your emotions out, let your real feelings about life out, and see where that takes you, because you will take yourself a long and far away. And I feel like we underestimate that, and we don't give ourselves enough credit for what's in our minds and
our bodies. And it's not really our fault because we're disconnected and there's a million things that keep us asleep from that. But when you cultivate and you take some time to connect with yourself, you will see that you have so much wisdom that can lead you a far away and it will give you a sense of safety that nothing else can. And I think in my hardest times.
I have always done this, and this is why I feel like I am not operating out of a lot of fear anymore in my life and scarcity, because I have myself and I know I can connect to myself, I can connect to my mom, I can connect to God. I will always come back to the fundamentals of life and my biology and how things typically work when it comes to nature and their rhythm and things. You know.
I think over the years, when you get older, you will understand and you will you'll pick up patterns of life and what seems to be true and what doesn't. And I think that everyone has their own ways of moving through life. So I'm not saying that the way that I move through life or the way I believe is the right way, but I'm just saying it works for me. So when things do feel scary, I come back to myself and I learn to navigate these hard times with the understanding that this is a part of life.
There will be hard times. Is their lessons, is their wisdom? And how can I be with myself the best way that I possibly can as I'm going through that, which means how can I support my health and my wellness and being gentle with myself sometimes and you know, allowing grace and allowing myself to move through emotions because I am human? How do I do more of those things? That's how I think that we are kind of meant
to live, in my opinion. But also when you quiet your mind and you connect more to yourself and maybe some sort of higher consciousness, you'll be able to start to be aware of what you truly value in life
and what doesn't matter. And so when you go out into the world work, relationships, friendship, social everything, you will be able to see when things come into your life and it's a no, and it doesn't resonate with your values of you know, deep connection or health or what you know to be true about life and how it works. You know, whatever your beliefs are, things will come at you and you'll be like, no, thank you, not in
just I'm going on to the next thing. But when we aren't stable and grounded in values or anything or ourselves, you best believe that your mind will be infiltrated by all the things that I talked about, and you will continue to be asleep, and then you will wake up one day and you will wonder why you're not happy or why your life panned out to be this way. Now, one thing that you can ask and for me, I
¶ ask god for clarity
did this this year, and I ask God. I simply just ask God to allow me to be clear minded and for me to see all the ways that I get in my own way, all the ways that external things keep me stuck, and simply just to allow me to see those things in the forefront of my mind. And this is kind of why I asked it like this. Once I'm able to see myself clearly, I will be
able to get myself out of these cycles. But I need to be aware of the ways that I keep myself stuck, the ways that I stay in victim mentality or scarcity, or the ways that my perfectionists part of me will come up, or the controlling part of me
that will come up. I need to be so aware of when all of these parts of me are playing a role, and anything that I want to try for the first time, or I want to go into new relationship or whatever, I want to see myself clearly, and I want to see how all of these things are coming from fear or ego and to understand that this is not for the highest good of me, and to ask God for the strength to allow me to learn the lessons and find the wisdom and to move through
these things and always keep me awake and reminded to the fact that I did not come here to be stuck in a sleep in those things, and how he spirit whatever doesn't want that for me. And these are things that are simply here to help me grow and evolve, but also to allow me to stay connected to what I came from, which is love and joy and light and abundance, which is in my personal opinion, like God
in a way, you know. So that was kind of deep, But I just really want to reiterate this idea that we have a lot more wisdom and knowledge and the ability to think clearly than we have been shown or taught, and the way that we are going to connect deeper to that and feel that sense of I know myself and you know, I can navigate this world and whatever is by first quieting our minds. But yeah, anyways, I think that's all I'm going to say. I think that
is it. I hope this episode resonated with you. This episode is not meant to push anything or like I'm standing firm and anything. This is kind of just where I'm at in my life and how I move. And
I'll say this, I have the best ideas. I feel the best about myself when I am more clear minded and I am not indulging in habits that do not serve me, when I see myself clearly and I am self aware, and I work on my traumas and I do that deep inner work, and I do my best to operate more out of love than fear, and understanding
for others and grace for others and myself. And yes, I still need to have boundaries, and yes I screw up sometimes, but that's all part of the process that typically leads me, not typically that has led me to a very good life, and I believe that moving forward it will. So anyways, I hope you guys enjoyed. Please let me know if anything resonated with you in the comments, and I'll see you guys in the next one. Bye.
