Hi everyone, and welcome back to another podcast episode. My name is Alicia Gogan, the host of The Globe Secret Podcast, where I help you expand your mind and become more self aware so that you can glow up into the best version of yourself. Hello, Happy Monday. Today's episode is going to be an off topic episode because quite frankly, I just need to chat about random things today. Okay, I have not been feeling good. Once again.
There's something I was gonna say, there's something wrong with my immune system, but there's not really. I think what it is sometimes when I go out and I be social and I do multiple things, especially when the weather is either really coold or it gets really warm, that is when my immune system is like a girl, no, you're going to feel it during the week. So I haven't been feeling the best, but I'm okay. But with that said, I feel like an off topic episode will just be perfect.
And if you guys are new here, an off topic episode is essentially just me talking about a few random topics. So I figured we'd quickly just chat about the fact that it's almost July, like, how are we midyear already? Wild? And then I figured that I would also answer a lot of the questions that you guys had asked me when it comes to being a content creator slash influencer. There's been a lot of questions in regard to that.
So I figured I'll just give you guys some advice things like that, and just some updates and maybe potentially talk about some bad days because I feel like I've had a few. I don't want to call them bad days, but just like emotional days, and I feel like maybe I could give you guys some advice if you needed, if you've been feeling like you know, you're just really going through it, because really that is what my podcast is
here for. So let's just talk about the fact that, yes, it is almost July when this episode comes out, and I just want you guys maybe just to think about the past six months. What has been going good? What hasn't? Is there things that we can change evolve? Can we look back and see have we been hitting our goals? What's working? What's
not? And you know, when I first was starting to think, I thought about this last week, I was like, oh my gosh, like summer, summer is not over, but why is it like slow down?
Like I'm kind of it's giving like Doomsday energy. But then I was thinking, you know what, we should be really proud of the things that we have accomplished this year so far, and I just want you guys to just maybe take a moment to sit and think about the things you've ever either accomplished or the changes that you have made in your life, even if it's not big, Like I am positive that your mindset or your habits are not the
exact same as how they were maybe at the beginning of the year. And this is not to beg on yourself if you haven't done that much more or maybe things have changed, but just to realize, like things change, like we are always evolving, and I think that we should really send a lot of gratitude and just a lot of positivity to ourselves to see where we have come and and also just to see why we might have not hit some of
the goals that we said that we wanted. Have we changed? Do we need to think about doing something new and fresh, like inviting new energy into our lives? Like what do we want the next six months to also be? Of this year? And bringing it back to the dooms Day energy, I was thinking like, oh my god, like the summer needs to slow down. But then I was also thinking like, we have six months essentially
more of the year. There's really no rush, but we can do so much, Like we have so much more time, So how do we essentially for me what I'm thinking about, it's like, how do I change the course of this current day or my summer right now? We can change this right now. If you're feeling like, oh my god, time has been flying by, I haven't been hitting my goals, things have not been working whatever, don't worry. You can flip things around right now with a simple
just mindset shift. I think sometimes we we get in our heads about time, and we get in our heads about the things that we haven't accomplished or whatever it is. But it's simply just reframing and be like, okay, we have been six months into the year. Wow, that's scary. Maybe that's a little bit like, oh my gosh, I haven't accomplished anything. Or you can look at it and be like, I have six more months to be the best version of myself this year. I can accomplish so many
things. There's so much new energy that I can invite into my life right now. What is that going to be so just thinking of some goals maybe that you want to hit for the next six months to come. I definitely am going to be thinking about some of the things that I want to accomplish. Also just being a content creator and planning for the future. I feel like that's some things you have to do when you have your own business or
you're working towards something. But I also think like for me, I kind of want to invite new energy to take me out of the mindset that I have been in, which has been pretty good. But I feel like I want like a switch up in my life and I want to follow some sort of like new hobby or interest that is nothing that I have been doing for
the past six months. I am super into mental health and like mindful practices, and obviously I do a certain type of vlogging for YouTube, but also podcast episodes, and I'm not really even trying to change any sort of energy when it comes to work, but I want to try something new in terms of a hobby. So for me right now, I'm kind of interested in getting more into fashion, which I don't even know if that will ever translate into some of the work that I am doing because obviously I am a content
creator. But this is why I think that I'm interested in fashion. There's multiple reasons. One, I think just summer right, I feel like it's just easier and more fun to dress up and wear cute outfits and think more about your outfits in the summertime when the weather is nice. But I just want to put my energy and my focus into something that just doesn't have anything to do with self work. And I know you guys can relate when it
comes to self improvement. It's like, sometimes it just feels like a never ending cycle of constantly up leveling and constantly working on yourself and your limiting beliefs and childhood trauma and this thought, and especially being somebody who does this for a living, I have to be very I don't know what the word is, but I have to be really good with making sure that I'm not falling
too much into one. I don't want to say cycle, but I don't know one energy of always having to heal or always having to self improve. And that's why sometimes I even like these off topic episodes or you know, not pitchingholing myself into one type of topic. When it comes to even my work, because I just think that's a recipe sometimes for disaster and maybe this
is the tip for even if you want to be a content creator. It's great to kind of have a certain niche and talk about something that you're really good at or you're passionate about. But I have been very strategic in the way that I will post content and share online. I try to make it open so that I can have different days to be able to talk about different topics if I want to. You guys know me as somebody who talks about
self love and healing and the internal glow up. But yes, I have days where I'm talking about content creation or something like that, because I just know what that does for me personally, my mental health. When I'm only always just focused on one thing, it can get a little bit just also like boring. I don't know. So this summer, I kind of want to step into this fashion era of mine, which I don't even really know what that looks like, but I feel like I am in the energy of
wanting to level and change up some of my looks. And whether that has to do with me bringing that to Instagram or TikTok or even my vlogs. I don't even know, but I just want my mind off of something. So maybe just thinking in your life, what is something that you can kind of get your mind off of the thing that you have been either working on that it's doing really great, but also maybe you're just like bored of it,
or maybe you're hyper focusing on it. Is there something that you could just you know, take up, take up a new skill, a new hobby, a new something, or you know, even thinking about like your friend groups or where you're moving around when you are socializing. Have you been going to the same places. Have you been having the same conversations, have
you been doing the same thing with the same people. It's not to say you have to get rid of these people or never move around the places that you move because a lot of the times, I'm sure you're getting benefit from these things. But if you're feeling a little stagnant, a little stuck, a little bit like where has the time gone? I would suggest maybe thinking about the next six months, like where can you see yourself in a new realm in life? Because I don't know, I feel like this is what
we're here to do. We're here to explore what we're interested in, and you know, sometimes we have interests that dwindle out, but sometimes you have that interest that ends up being the like a big piece of your puzzle in your life, and you won't even really know unless you follow that desire. And I'm super into following what feels good and following your desires and following what you're passionate about, and even just bringing it to something small like fashion.
I don't know where that's going to bring me. All I know is I have this craving to go in that direction, and so that's what I'm doing. I feel like sometimes you just go through seasons, like I said, But when I'm craving watching fashion content or watching people online talk about things that I just have nothing to do with what I've been talking about, I'm going that direction. I don't know where that's going to take me, but I'm
going that direction. And I always find this is specific for being in content creator, at least for me when I feel into a desire for myself.
Oh, I'm really into my natural hair right now, and I really want to take care of it more, or something to do with skincare or something to do with fashion, or something to do with whatever the universe, it just continues to show me that it's listening or really I'm manifesting, because as soon as I have those desires, it's like a brand will send me something that is specific to my hair journey or like recently, I've been getting a
few brand deals when it comes to fashion brands. And so sometimes I'm not saying like, oh, just think about whatever you want. You got to do the work, you got to obviously put yourself in places. But I think that sometimes it's as simple as just going the direction of what you're really feeling like you want to do, and you will start to have a lens that will seek out opportunities or people or places or things or whatever that will be a part or a magnet to whatever it is that you are desiring,
and just go in that direction and see where that leads you. So anyways, that's really it. When it comes to mid year reset, I feel like a lot of people are talking about mid year goals, and obviously even like resetting your life. I made a summer reset video actually which I will link in the description from last year, and I just ran through like thinking about, like I already said, all the goals that you had set for yourself. Are you hitting them? Why aren't you hitting them? Can you
set new goals things like that? But I just think right now in my life it's not necessarily about goals and you know what I've hit what I haven't. It's more inviting new energy into my life, Like I want to feel something different than I have been feeling. So maybe you guys have been feeling the same. Okay, so let's get into the content creation questions that you guys have asked me. I have definitely made different episodes when it comes to
tips on how to start and confidence tis. I have a video on my main channel about how to build your dream life while working nine to five. So I have a lot of content. But I figured I would just do another one of these because you guys keep asking, and I know there's a lot of new viewers. Even if you don't want to be a content creator influencer, I feel like maybe it'll just be interesting to listen to today. The first question they asked, how did you find slash figure out what you
wanted to post? When it comes to showing up online, I think the best thing that you could do is speak from experience and share something that you're really good at, or you're passionate about, or you're really skilled on. You can do so many things online, right, so it's like, well, what do you want to do, what are you passionate about? What are you good at? For me? How did I find what it was?
When I first started on TikTok, I already knew exactly what I wanted to share with the world, because at that point I was talking about health and fitness. I mean, you guys know my story and I'm not going to get into it completely and if you really want to know my story, especially when it comes to content creation, not I didn't talk about contragation in my book. But what led me up to sharing what I share now it's
in my book, The Ultimate Globe Guide. But I struggled for many years with an unhealthy relationship with food, but also an unhealthy relationship towards my body
and like fitness and everything and chronic illness. I had a lot of things going on and had to do a lot of healing work when it came to that, and I did that work, and when I was online and I was seeing other women who were struggling with loving themselves, confidence, but also I even saw it in my immediate life with friends and everyone, including myself.
Of course, I feel like it's actually quite normal, unfortunately, especially for women, but also the health and wellness field of I used to be a personal trainer and I was a wellness coordinator at a tech company at one point as well, and I had clients who were always struggling with weight, always struggling with loving themselves, always struggling with this that, like, why
is it so hard to be consistent? And we have all the information right, we know what to do when it comes to dieting, we know what to do when it comes to moving our bodies. Why do we continuously fail at doing those things? And so I learned in my own journey, and everyone's journey is unique, but I learned some of the things that were getting in my way when it came to just taking care of myself and eating well
and moving my body, like simple things. But it just was so hard for me to do it, and that was because I was driven out a place of self hate. I was also doing behaviors like regulating my nervous system with things that weren't healthy for me, like eating a lot of candy when I was younger and I had that addiction to it, and you know, then I got into all of these types of cycles. So I was just
sharing what I found on my journey that really actually helped me. And then I was talking about the fact that really and truly to get out of those cycles. And everyone is unique in terms of how you get out of a cycle. So I'm not saying my way is the only way, but for me and for a lot of you guys that you're starting to realize it really is a deep internal healing journey and you definitely most likely are going to be
rooting that shit back to childhood. So I talked a lot about childhood trauma and healing and how to really connect to the parts of you that are really young and are stuck and doing self sabotaging behaviors where your inner critic is coming
from. The self hate, the negative self talk, all of those things are being stemmed a lot of times from childhood or when you're grown up in environments where people were bullying you or you overheard people picking on these people, so now you have a negative self talk, social media, all of those things are really impacting how you view yourself and so I was just teaching other people what I had learned on my own journey and how I really did that.
And so that's how I grew and that's what I talked about. I didn't talk about things that I didn't know. And I think sometimes maybe for people who are trying to go online, they're like looking for, like what it is, like, what can I bring to people? You? It's you, it's your unique story. What are you passionate about? What have you been through? Even let's say you're not sharing about like self improvement or
all that kind of stuff because you don't need to. But if you see something in the industry that you feel like you could either do better or you could fix, or you can innovate, or you have a certain take on that, even like when it comes to like social commentary or a different different
viewpoint and anything, it all really comes down to you. And I think that is where a lot of people really struggle when it comes to being an influencer or a content creator, because we're looking at everyone else and we're trying to be like everyone else, which is a normal part of what happens when
you are online and you're getting influenced and you're looking at people. But the real game is you coming to yourself and you knowing what your value is and your unique perspective in your own story, and you cultivate that and you build confidence around that, and you share that with the world. That's really what it comes down to. So, yeah, when it came to like how did I find what? I was like passionate about what I want to share.
I'm always sharing out of experience, and even if I haven't necessarily experienced something, I am giving advice from a perspective that is my own that I back that I think is great. I don't think that I'm right about everything, but I think that I have a really good perspective. Also another thing is, you know, all of my life, I've been that advice friend.
All of my life, I have been the responsible friend, the person who has succeeded a lot, a person who has gone through trials and tribulations. Another part of my story is, yes, I had all of those negative self talk and body image and I had to heal from those things. But I also had a pretty tumultuous childhood and in a very low income family. Like a lot of people, that comes with a lot of struggles and
stressors, and my father we didn't have the best relationship. So I can speak on issues that a lot of people will have when it comes to feeling very disempowered maybe by a father, or suppressed by a parent, or traumatized by a parent. Also, my mother went through addictions, and if you really look online, there's this test or like childhood trauma, like ACE tests
or whatever. I grew up in an environment that was not healthy and it was very traumatizing, and I had to grow up very quickly, and I had to get out of my situation from basically nothing the best that I could. So I'm sharing from that experience, and I'm also giving a lot of motivation and inspiration to the ones that might have gone through similar experiences as me.
So I'm really just sharing from my life experience. You don't need to have gone through the things that I have gone through to be an influencer or to be impactful. Maybe you simply are the it girl out of all your friends who always has the best outfits and you know where to find everything,
and you just know like you're just on it. That's influential too, And yes, maybe some people will be like, oh well, that's not as meaningful as talking about childhood trauma maybe, but who cares, right, Like, if that's your thing, go do it. I always and I feel like you guys probably know a friend who should have always been an influencer but just never did. I have so many friends that are just those it girls that I'm like, can you please just go online and show the girls what
it really means to be an it girl? Because you are it and people will go to them for certain advice or tips or if you're really good with skincare or hair care, or you know your home or even my best friend Joey, I knew that she was somebody who in her life everyone goes to when it comes to finances, always goes to her. I'm not saying that her value and her worth is only about finances, but everyone goes to her
when it comes to finances. So I told her, go on TikTok and start sharing about that, because you know about this thing, you're good about it, and on top of that, like she's passionate about it. She'd be sitting there on her days off looking up stocks to buy and looking up how to invest in all those things on her time off and so yes,
girl, go online and share that with your audience. And I have so many friends in the content creator space who they're just so good with marketing or branding or content creator whatever it is, and that's what you should share online. You don't have to, but that's I think the best way to be
sustainable when it comes to being a content creator. Could I talk about health and fitness when it comes to building out workout plans and health coaching or There's so many skills that I have, Like I could really talk about everything, but at the end of the day, it's like what is the most natural
to me? What could I talk about for hours? But also what do people come to me the most for is the best way, in my personal opinion, to sustain and build a business realistically, because that's how I look at content creation over the years to come, and you can always pivot and you will like naturally, I think that when you become a content creator, people want to know a little bit more about this thing that you did over here or for me, I didn't start online talking about the fact that I
hated my natural hair, or I had chronic illness per se and I healed myself, but that's just an extension of the healing work and the journey that I have done, so I share that with you guys sometimes or like smaller things that maybe are not that important, but that's now an extension of my content. Okay, next question is tips on how to start your first podcast. The first tip really is thinking about what is it that you're going to
bring to your audience. What do you want to help people with, what do you want to inspire people by, What do you want to bring into this world online that maybe is different or unique. What do you back about yourself and what you're going to bring to people realistically, And when it comes to starting your first podcast, I think you just you have to just start
listen. I love you guys for asking and like you have to be somebody who's always seeking out those questions, like in advice and things like that. But I think I always know when somebody has been asking that question for years and years and years. How do I start a podcast? How do I
start a YouTube channel? You know so much more than you even think, And at the end of the day, you really can just google how to start on YouTube or how to start a podcast, but really just coming back to this truth of you just have to start right, You just have to start talking about the thing that you really want to bring to the world. And also the reason why you just have to start is because you're gonna learn
and change and evolve over time. You're never going to have the most perfect piece of content the first time that you put it out there, so give yourself that time to grow and evolve. Anyways, when it comes to actually starting a podcast, there's different ways in which you can put your podcast out there online. So I guess I'll just give you kind of the things that I do and the processes that I have, but it's different for everyone.
Don't get tied up on how one person is creating content, whether it's a podcaster or a YouTuber or a TikTok er. There's many ways that you can host your podcast. There's many ways you can put your videos out online. There's many ways you can edit, there's many topics you can talk about. Don't ever feel like you have to do it the way other people do.
And it's really also good to diversify who you're looking up to on social media, just so you don't again kind of feel like you have to do it this one way, because if you do, maybe that's too much or it just doesn't work for you, and then you feel like you can't do it, which is so not true. Like you could literally be anyone that you
want in this day and age on social media, it's insane. So actually, before I give you like the editing and everything that I do, I would honestly spend some time maybe going on Canva or like a Google doc and just sitting and dreaming about what your podcast or your YouTube channel or whatever is going to look like, what's it's going to feel like, the topics that you're going to talk about, everything, like what the vibe is, and
use people as inspiration, like maybe you want a podcast like me, maybe you want it like somebody else that you've been listening to. But obviously you're gonna have your own flair, you're gonna have your own aesthetic, you're going to have your own everything. So I think that's just something fun you can do. I do that maybe every well. I did that when I first started my podcast, but every probably six months, I sit down and I create a little bit of a slide deck of the pillars of content that I
want to be posting. I think for me though, when it comes to my podcast, I'm very feeling first like energy first type of content creator, which you will find as you continue to create content that you tend to not stick to so many scripts or plan so much once you get good at what it is that you're doing. Now there are many people who are very analytical, who plan out everything, who script everything, no matter if it's their
first day or their tenth year of being a content creator depends completely. But I think at first, you know, really sitting down and being like, hey, every week, I'm gonna have these topics go out every week. But I think as you get deeper into it and you really know what you're talking about or how you want to be speaking, you will find you'll you
won't have so many rules and regulations. And I think that energetically and this is more of a spiritual thing, I think it's really good to build a business around that more feminine creative flow versus just the masculine structure, which I don't know, maybe I'll have to have a whole episode on that, because
that's kind of how I operate. Very How am I feeling today, What is the most potent wisdom I have that I can share to my audio and maybe I had a topic that I thought that that's what I wanted to talk about on that Monday, but today my energy is feeling this instead. That's how I'm leading my business really, But at first sometimes it's hard to do that because you don't have that connection with yourself, but also you just don't
know how to operate like that. It is good to always have that structure and the container and the goals and the focus and the what am I doing this week. I still do that, but I will always at the end of the day check in with how I'm feeling where my energy is at first, and I'll always choose that over what I've had listed out. So yeah, when it comes to starting your own podcast, I host my podcast on spreaker and how you spell it is sp r e a k er spreaker,
not speaker. I like that because you can also have ads on that as well, which is a revenue source obviously, but I also just think that it's a great place to host your podcast. And I record my podcast on garage Band. So I have this mic that I have right now and I have it connected to my computer and it's currently recording my audio, and that's what I did for like a year, and I would upload it to Spreaker, distributes it to all of the main podcasting platforms. So that's what I
did for like a year until I started visually recording my podcast episodes. And so now I just use my Sony camera and I have the visual component. So I have one that's an audio and I upload it to Spreaker, and then I have one that's audio and visual and then I put it onto YouTube. I'll have all of my equipment and everything that I use also linked on my Amazon storefront, like link in the bio if you need. Because I feel like a lot of people ask me what type of tech that I use,
I would say, don't get too caught up in tech. Like for me, I use garage band because that's what I have on my computer. When I was editing my podcast episodes, I was using iMovie. I still use iMovie for my YouTube vlogs. But I actually have an editor, which shout out to my new editor, which is well, it's a team of editors from Busy Blooming, which I actually want to quickly shout out also my friend Tess Barclay because if you want like real content creation tips and like how
to be a full time business owner, like like the real tea. Go to her YouTube channel, her TikTok, her instagram, her everything. She has the best tips. And I'm not even just saying that because I'm her friend, Like there is so there's so much information online when it comes to like those TikTok coaches you should post three times a day, you should only you should have a niche this that I'm telling you. She has the best
tips, Okay, And we talk about content creation all the time. So if you like the advice that I am giving you, you will like the advice that she's giving you. So I would highly suggest I'll have all of her stuff link down below. But also if you want an editor, if you are a content creator, then I will have their information down below because they are editing my podcast now along with my short form clips because I'm doing
short form clips now. But I just wanted to throw that in there because I really think that they're doing a great job at helping this industry, because I think that it's very confusing and definitely like not regulated, and nobody really knows what they're doing other than like asking around. So that's really all I
do is use garage band, use iMovie if I'm editing. And also another channel that I will suggest is called think Media, and that's a YouTube channel which they have really good content around, like the YouTube algorithm and just tips becoming a content creator online. But at the end of the day, you
know what you need to do. You just need to start. Whether it's on your iPhone, whether it's on a camera, whether you need to save up some money every single month until you can get your camera, whatever it is, you can do it. Don't make it harder than it needs to be. And at the end of the day, your first episode, your first five, your first ten, maybe they'll go viral, but they probably won't. So I feel like sometimes you just make it this huge thing when
it's really not that deep. Right, get on the camera. Well, I know that it's deep sometimes because you need to have that confidence, But how you build confidence is trying anyways. And don't be so worked up about your first video, your first podcast episode, because there's going to be so much trial and error. You'll have so much time to really curate the perfect
content for you and your audience. Okay, someone said, what is a realistic timeline in your opinion, to start monetizing on YouTube, Instagram, brand deals, et cetera. And then she also said, along with backing yourself, acting as if you are already full time, being consistent, etc. I don't know if you're asking how long it took me or how long it takes to hit all of those to be basically maybe who I am now?
My advice really is it completely depends. Do not get caught up on timelines, please in your life, please, like, outside of content creation, outside of anything, do you not get caught up on timelines. Because you could go viral tomorrow, you could hit all your goals tomorrow, you could find the love of your life tomorrow. You don't know. So let's not focus on how long it should take, and let's focus on what are we here to do? And honestly, what I like to look at is,
especially when it comes to content creation, it's a job. I'm in here for the long run. I'm looking at what I'm doing as a business. I'm not looking at a quick check or how quickly can I get views? Or how quickly can I retire? I'm personally I'm not doing that. I'm looking at this as a long term career. How can I build out my community? How can I essentially be here for the long run. When I think about this question, it makes me think of when people say how long
should it take to heal? Or how long will it take to lose weight? Or something like that. It is so dependent on you, right How long is it going to take for you to build confidence within yourself and be able to back yourself. How long will it take for you to build an audience? Who really knows? I think just coming back to what it is that you want to do and believing in yourself for sure, backing yourself and being consistent. That's what I did with my YouTube channel. That's what I
did with my TikTok. That's what I did with all my platforms until it got to a point where I mean, I didn't really This is the thing. When I started my podcast in my TikTok, it was more just me starting out of a place of passion and I wanted to help people and I wanted to share what I knew. I didn't really know where that could lead me. Like, you couldn't make money on TikTok. You could do brand deals here and there, but even the type of content that I was making,
I wasn't in like lifestyle. I didn't really know what brand deals I could even do. I just wanted to do that, and I was in the coaching industry, so I figured maybe that's how I would maybe make some
money or build a business that way, which I do. But I didn't really know where that was going to lead me in terms of like brand deals and the type of content creator that I was really going to be until I became bigger and I did share more online and I figured out all the things that I wanted to talk about, and it kind of grew from there, and when it comes to YouTube, that's when I started to think, Okay,
well I do want to monetize my content. Of course, you should be paid for the things that you're doing in life, and if people have an issue with that, then I don't know. It's so crazy to me sometimes when people complain about influencers, which I get, like, I understand that the influencer industry is like kind of crazy sometimes and people are lying about things or whatever. But the end of the day, it's like, we
consume content for free online. Somebody has to get paid somehow, and I think even with YouTube, it's definitely a great way to get paid because you don't have to rely on brand deals, although I will say brand deals are a big part, but I will talk about that because somebody had asked me, but YouTube was going. I was thinking, Okay, when I build my YouTube and I have a consistent income from my ad sense for me personally,
for me, that's when I'm going to take that leap. But I was taking that leap because I knew that was what I wanted to do. I had built this thing of sharing my story online and I knew that I could help people, and that's what I wanted to do for my actual career. This is my life. This is for sure my life. So in terms of when it comes waiting or timelines, I left my jobs when I
made a certain income on YouTube so that I could obviously support myself. But at the end of the day, I was doing this for a long time without even really knowing that. But I left because obviously this is what I wanted to do full time. So I think you just need to know what it is that you want to do down the line, like five ten years as well. And when it comes to brand deals and stuff like those are cool, but that is not the biggest piece of the puzzle, especially if
you want to do this full time. I also think it depends on the type of industry that you're in. So anyways, to answer your question, there's no like real timeline. I think you need to just focus on what it is that you're here to do, which is I would hope to help people, to inspire people, to motivate people to change something in the industry, and you know, really build on that. That doesn't mean that you
can't make money. It doesn't mean that you're not allowed to monetize, of course, like I just said, but focusing on what you are here to actually do versus the money will take you a long way. Someone said, how did you balance content creation with UGC at the beginning? And how much money did you make from that? So anyone who doesn't know what UGC is, it's user generated contents. So essentially, some people have careers making content
where you're not. You don't really have a following and people don't really know you, but you're almost like a model for different brands. So maybe you have really curly hair and you're testing out a bunch of different curly hair products, and you're making content that is visually very pleasing and you're talking about it or you're showing it, and brands want to work with you for you basically to be a model for their brand. Essentially, that's what it is.
I only did a few of these. The person who's asking you're obviously an og and I love that because when I see comments like this, I'm like, damn, you've been here from the beginning, because I definitely did mention that I did UGC, but it was very I only did a few pieces of UGC content, and I never got into content creation doing that because I wanted to build my own thing, like I wanted to be the content creator. I wanted to be the influencer. I wanted people to know me,
and I wanted to share my whole entire story. So UGC for me is not really a thing. If I'm doing anything with brands, it's just a brand deale, meaning I am backing your product that I really like that I have been using and I'm sharing to my audience. If you're interested in UGC, there's definitely a lot of content creators out there who teach you how to do that I think sometimes people get caught up on that though when it comes to UGC, because I feel like I don't know you GC can be good.
But I also think that it's smarter, in my personal opinion, to own your own stuff. Like you don't want to be at the mercy always of brands or other people's products or things. And it's not to mean that you can't use that to help you on your journey or that always be a part. It's a part of my journey, but if you can have something that you own meaning eventually, like for me, I have my book,
I have my digital services, I do one on one coaching. I have a lot of extensions of me that I don't need to rely on a brand in order to like pay my bills per se. I mean, I'm still at a pretty early stage in my career. Brand deals are a huge part of what's sustaining me for sure, But over the years, I think, if you're being smart, you want to have something of your own, but
you don't even have to be who I am. I know a lot of really smart influencers who they're fashion influencers and now they have their own line or they have different pieces of jewelry or they have something that's the extension of them. So just diversifying your income streams that way is good. So when I bring it back to UGC, sometimes I feel like you could pigeonhole yourself because you're only making money based off of whether our brand is willing to work with
you or not. So I think a smarter way, honestly, would just be to be a content creator or be an influencer and then be able to work with brands if you want. But I know that not everyone wants to do that, and there's so many ways that you can start a business online where you are not the center of that business. There's many people, but I'm just speaking from experience, and I am the center of my business essentially, so that's what I'm speaking off of. Someone said, how long did
it take you to make enough money to leave your job? I started my TikTok at the end of twenty twenty one, around November December. From November twenty twenty one to I think it was February ish of twenty twenty two, so not that long. I blew up on TikTok and I was making some brand deals here and there, but that was all I was making. I didn't look at myself like, oh, I'm even a part time content creator.
It would just kind of came to me with a few brands. But I ended up deciding that I wanted to leave my nine to five around that time because I was making more money being a bartender and it was really killing me to work at the nine to five that wasn't paying me enough. And I also knew I wanted to leave that job anyways, Like I knew my career and where I wanted it to go, which was essentially where it is now. But I didn't even know that I was going to be a full
time YouTuber or a podcaster. I just knew I wanted out of that field. So I was okay and willing to let that job go because I was making more money bartending and serving and I just knew that that's not where I wanted to be. And I'm also somebody who's always had to take risks in her life. So some people always talk about, oh, don't leave your nine to five, and you know whatever, I don't know. Maybe I'm not the best person to give advice, but I'm giving you real advice.
I go where I know I need to. I have never had any help really or anyone really supporting me in that way, so I need to make
decisions for myself that I know is best. And in that situation, money was best, and so I needed to conserve my energy and I needed to go for what I wanted in my life, which was, for one, making more money in less time, which was at the job that I had, which was bartending and serving and I had a really good schedule and like the managers really liked me, and I was making a lot of money and I was really hustling, but that also freed up time for me to continue
to build out my TikTok and one on one coaching and all that kind of stuff. So that was just the best decision that I could make for myself. And so when I left there from I would say April, because I ended up moving from Markham to North York, so around April twenty twenty two to I would say around November to the end of the year of twenty twenty
two. That's when I was still building my TikTok, I was making some money here and there from brand deals, I was doing coaching, I was making still a lot of money doing bartending, like I was bartending this whole entire time, like I was just working on my finances and this that, and I was getting good at what I wanted to talk about and to do online. And that's when I started my YouTube channel because I was like, you know what, let me go to long form because I had started my
podcast as well, but I wasn't making any money off my podcast. It was just something that I wanted to do because I needed an outlet to talk for longer periods of time. And I started to realize TikTok wasn't going to be my end all, be all app because I'm speaking about deep topics and
real shit. I'm not saying you can't talk about real shit on TikTok, but I personally think also being somebody who has really changed her life through long form content, like I've really learned a lot through long form, I just personally think that's where it vibes for me, Like that's my fucking place obviously, and so I continue to build my podcast, but I was also like, let me do long versions of what I'm doing on my TikTok short videos
on YouTube, and let me just be consistent with it. So I was detached from YouTube. I wasn't like, oh my god, I have to start a YouTube channel and I need to make all this money. I knew it was possible to make money, but at the end of the day, I was like, I'm going to go on YouTube and talk about what I want to for longer periods of time, and what I have to say is amazing, Like I think people need to hear this. And so I did one video a week. That's it. That's all I could do. Managing
my TikTok and managing working full time. I did what I could, and I did it consistently, and I backed myself and I knew eventually it was going to happen. I don't know exactly how it's going to happen. I don't know how much money I'm going to make. I don't know what platform is going to do it. But I just knew if I just continue to follow in my desires and I backed myself, something would happen. I was
very aligned. I was very spiritually connected through that entire summer. Did I have moments where I was like, I really wanted to leave my job this that, but I changed my mindset when I came to my job, I was like, this is not gonna be forever. I'm doing exactly what I want. One thing about me is I'm going to go for my dreams. I don't care how long it's going to take. And I just did that until around November. It was so funny because I was going through a breakup
at that time and that's when my channel blew up. I tend to find when I have really deep hard lows and I come out and I use the wisdom and knowledge and I heal and I up level that tends to be reflected in the money that I'm making, but also success and opportunities and things in my life that just seems to be what happens, which would make sense because energetically I'm in a magnetic place. Not to say that you can't manifest at
your lowest times. Anyways, that is when my channel blew up on YouTube, and so that's when I started getting monetized. I only got monetized at the end of that year, and so I was making a ton of money and I was continuously posting. I still was on my schedule, and that's when I was starting to think, Okay, this is a good time for me to consider leaving my job. The reason why I'm saying this when people might think it's insane because it's like, you weren't making money for that long.
I believed in myself and I knew what I wanted to do at that point. So it was a full solid year of me knowing what I wanted to do. So even though it was like a short amount of time, I wasn't like taking this huge leap without thinking, because I feel like a lot of people are like, oh, don't leave your job just because you're making a little bit of like, but I was. I had been thinking
about this for a long time. And so another thing was energetically, and this is everyone does things differently, but spiritually for me, and energetically, it was a potent time. And at this point it was like I either go for it and I do it one hundred percent, or I wait and I get in my head and I second guess things, and I let this time where it's really potent go away, and I stay in a job that I don't want and I stay doing the same thing over and over and over,
and I wait for the perfect moment, which won't happen. And so at that point, yeah, I was making some brand deals here and there, but I still wasn't like super consistent. But at that point I was making consistent ad sense. And then eventually I ended up leaving my job around like a few months later, really because I was making enough ad sense, but also like financially, like I had my finances to the point where I
was set. But also I was like, dude, I could just go back to my job if it really fails, which wasn't going to happen. There's just no way. And I was in a really good space and I was very motivated, and I was putting in a lot of content, and so I went for it. So I left my freaking job, and I was making consistent money, and then obviously I made more brand deals, and
that was moving into twenty twenty three. So that was all of last year, and I just continued to hustle and I made money from brand deals, and I made a sense ad sense fluctuate depending on your views. But I had built a lot of confidence of not getting so tied up with views and money all the time and stressing about everything and working at a scarcity, like I really worked on a lot of those deep core beliefs and wounds and energetics.
Essentially that I had a lot of faith in myself to be able to continue to ride this wave and even on the lows, I have a really stable mental mindset, I guess of how I navigate these times, and so I just had confidence, I guess, is what I'm saying. So that was kind of my story or like my path. When it comes to money,
I make six figures. If anyone was interested, somebody had asked, but I guess I'll just say that I think like most content creators who are doing it full time, I mean, everyone makes different amounts of money, like seriously, like you can't even There's so many people making so much more money than I am. And it depends on what you are doing and what industry you're in and where you're making money on. But all of my income
sources together six figures, and I hope to continue to make more. Honestly, if I'm being honest, somebody asked, what are your income streams? So I'll list the three main ones that would take up the biggest portion of my salary. I guess for the year. One brand deals. Brand deals, because you can have a five figure brand deal. You could have a four figure brand deal. You could have a six figure brand deal. Like, it completely depends on who you're working with, the budget but also of
course your audience, your everything. Right, So let's say you have three brand deals in a month, but every brand deal is four figures or every brand deals five figures, Like, that's making up a big chunk of your money, but of course that depends. You can't rely on just brand deals. I wouldn't have left my job if I was only making brand deals just
personally for me, but some people will do everyone's different, right. Second would be ad sense, so it's the ads that run on my videos and also the ads that run from my podcast as well, But that's not like a huge income stream, but that is a second big chunk. And then
my third would be my digital products and my one on one coaching. Other income sources would be like affiliate links, which I do not can because I really don't make anything on that because I'm just not somebody that pushes affiliate links a lot of the times. But I know that there are definitely content creators, depending on the niche that they're in, where that is a big part
of their income. So there's so many different ways that you can make money online and even when it comes to like my own services or digital products and things like that, like I have journal guides, I have my book, which I have not even made anything well, okay, that's a lie. I haven't been paid for any book sales. But that is not why I wrote a book. And I think most people know writing a book like that's not where you're going to be this multimillion dollar person. It's just an extension
of you. So there's definitely things that I will continue to build out and have extensions of me to help my audience that are supportive. And I think that there's so many things that you can do being a content creator, which is great, other than just relying on brand deals or even AdSense. And like I said, I don't think that that's something that you want to continue to focus on forever, because yeah, it depends. I'm also with a
talent agency. I wasn't with a talent agency for the first part of my career when it came to brand deals, so I was just doing everything myself. I really am just with them because there's so many brands out reach out to me There's so many things that I have to do outside of negotiating and working with brands and signing contracts and things like that that I do not want to do. I think that that is a smart thing to do once you get to a certain level, but I don't think that that should be your
main focus. And I honestly think that if you're wanting to be a content creator an influencer, I would say, like, stop hyper focusing on when you're going to get brand deals or when you're going to get pr or when you're get invited to events, because all of those things will come. When
you create a beautiful community online, all of those things will come. It's like, you know, really enjoying the process and learning to love yourself or learning to you know, be in that present moment, and then you become that magnet to everything else. And I feel like at the beginning, a lot of people are like, how do you make money? Or like how do I get or how do I whatever? And that's fine to be asking those questions because everyone needs to know how it is that you're going to sustain
what you're gonna do. But at the end of the day, bringing it back to the beginning of my journey, I didn't start with how am I gonna make money or how am I going to create like this thing online so that I can get brand deals. It wasn't that I knew that there was possibilities, but I trusted that that was all going to come. Somebody asked how to prepare for having your own business when you've never had experience. I would just say, through your research. I think there's a lot of people
who don't. There was this one TikToker on TikTok and he was talking about sometimes I go into the comment sections of people's videos and people are asking questions that could literally simply just be googled, like google it, Google it, google it, google it, Google It was so funny, And this is to throw no shade, because of course you're gonna ask a content creator.
You're gonna like, I get questions all the time. But everything that I learned, I just googled and if I couldn't find it, which you can find so many people. They have whole businesses to educate and help people who are trying to build a business in any niche. It's wild. But another thing is networking, right, Having those conversations with people maybe in your city. I have a lot of friends who are content creators in different niches,
and if I ever have a question, I can ask them. So it's not to say you can't ask people outside of Google, but you can find a lot of your answers on there. So that's really it. Do your research, go online. You can find all of your answers really online without even spending a lot of money or no money at all. Really like you could buy a course from somebody who is reputable, but you can also find things that are free. Someone said how to develop a business entrepreneurial mindset.
I feel like you just need to have a drive, and you really need to have something you feel a desire for or passion for, or something that you're just so interested in. I feel like if not, then you're just not going to be really motivated. There's so many things that you can do in this life. But I think that the drive and the passion for me. It's not that I had no other option, but I was living a
life where nobody was supporting me, nobody was handing things to me. I had to figure it out, and being an entrepreneur just made sense for the life that I was candid. It doesn't mean that I can't work out a nine to five or this that, but it just wasn't in my cards, at least not where I'm at right now in my life. Someone said, thoughts on starting a podcast with a bestie. I guess if you feel like the nature of your podcast would do better with having a best friend or somebody
else, then who's to say that's not the right thing to do. But I would just really consider who you're going into business with. Is that person your best the outside of the conversations that you have. Is that person on your same level? Do they have the same drive as you do, they have the same business mindset as you? Are they going to put in the same amount of work as you? Because if not, then you will. I don't know. I just don't think that that's the best decision. But
obviously you totally can. There's people who do it and it's great. But I just think that you guys need to be on that same level and both be really interested in what you guys want to start together. Someone said, would you recommend starting a visual YouTube podcast right away? I would say yes, if you don't have an audience because I feel like it's hard and I don't want to put a limiting belief because you could really grow on anything at
any time. The same thing with YouTube. Everyone says, oh, you can't grow on YouTube. Yes you can twenty twenty four, twenty twenty five, twenty twenty six. I don't care. You're gonna be able to grow. So don't ever like take on those limiting beliefs. You have to consider the different apps that you're growing on and how it works and this that, And I think with podcasting is a little bit different because you're really not like
you're not seeing these visual components. There's no real algorithm, there's no home feed. Really it's changed a lot throughout the years, but it's a little bit different than any other platforms. So if you don't have an audience, I think the best bet would be to just record yourself visually as well and put it on YouTube because you have more of a chance to have exposure. And also you could cut the clips and put it on short form as well.
If that's what you wanted to do, you don't have to do it. And the reason why I'm saying that also is let's say you did have a really big audience on Instagram or you're a big YouTuber, but you already have a community that is probably gonna go and migrate over to a podcast on audio only, so you already have those eyes, so you don't necessarily need to record. But I do think that's where podcasting is going, is the
visual component. So I think you might as well start there anyways, because what you'll find usually is you'll just develop having to have that visual component down the line. But if all you can do is audio and it works for you, then you can do It. Doesn't mean that you cannot grow without having a visual component. Someone said tips for editing tiktoks and reels, and
also there was somebody in my community. I think that you're gonna remember that it's you because I said, oh, I'll give you a tip because she had sent me a TikTok that she posted. She was like really proud of herself, being like I finally posted it this that, and I told her I was going to give her a tip. So, I mean I already talked about like editing and stuff like that. I edit all of my short form clips on cap cut. I think that's just the best app you can
edit your TikTok's in app. You can do it outside of the app. You can do whatever, like, there's millions of ways that you can do it. I think the first thing is just doing it, not knowing what like what app to use, and not making you not actually post. I think just try anything, honestly, but cap cut is for sure it. I would say the main two things that I'm going to give and listen. You can go to my friend test, you can go to many other people.
For one is letting people know why they're going to be watching that piece of content, especially when it comes to short form, so like if you're doing a vlog or if that's what you want to do, or you want to do like fashion content or you want to have you want to talk about something, let people know at the beginning of the video what they're going to get from this piece of content, because if not, then people are not going to watch your video, Like I'm not gonna watch a vlog of your
day, like your random day if I don't know why you're showing me this, and I'm not saying like you need to explain why you're worthy of showing me your life. It's not even that but it's a day in a life of a twenty four year old that's living downtown Toronto who is working nine to five and becoming a contact creator, or is a plate's instructor, or is healing from X, Y and Z, and I'm taking you through a journey, or I'm starting seventy five hard, or I'm doing some sort of thing
like why would that person want to watch your content? And there's a lot of people doing a lot of things, So I think that's important to kind of either that's your title or you're verbally saying that at the beginning of your videos. And it is a little bit different for those who people know, right like Alex Earl. Honestly, even Alex Earl, she tells you basically, come get ready with me as I go to my boyfriend's football game.
Like there's things, there's context to this video. But if you're just like vlogging clip by clip and people don't really know you, especially people don't know you, it's gonna be hard for you to build out audience or people like have the capacity to even sit there and watch your thing. Another thing is quality. I'm not saying you have to have quality like Monet does or some fancy editing. But this kind of comes back to the girl who sent me
her video. I noticed that the lighting wasn't that good, and like, I love you, and please don't get insecure about your content because it was so cute and amazing and I'm so proud of you and anyone who actually takes that lead to even be able to get up on camera and post anything. Even that in itself is just I know the feeling of doing that at the beginning. But I'm saying this because if you're gonna spend time doing this,
then I want you to grow as quickly as you possibly can. You need to have good lighting because if you're putting a vlog out there and it's like not the best lighting or it's not clear, and it's also not clear what you're even showing me, people are gonna scroll, no one's gonna care. And this is not a youth thing. It's just it is what it is. You don't have to be the most beautiful, you don't have to have the most esthetic place. You do not. I promise you you do not,
but have good lighting. So for me, I'm always making sure that I'm filming in front of natural light. I never really use ring lights or anything like that. You can if you want, but you don't need that. You just need simply natural light. If you don't know how to film a natural light YouTube, how do you film your tiktoks and natural light? How do I get the best lighting to film? It's not that hard,
I promise you. So just making sure that everything is clear, making sure you have a clear shot and people are like knowing what it is that you're even doing and you want to show to the world. Is I think the best two tips that I could give you to start The last two things that I'll say because there was so many questions, but someone said, I'm scared of being judged by other people in my hometown. And then also someone said, I don't know if they're making vlogs, but I'll just say I'm making
vlogs, but how to edit when I hate my body? Having confidence is such an important thing to have showing up on social media, and it's important because that will dictate your longevity online really, and so I think if you can really do that deep healing work when it comes to being seen or your insecurities as you're growing, like behind the scenes or whatever is going to take you a long way. It's going to take you a long way when it comes to in real life, of course, but also when it comes to
your job. And I think that people don't realize how much insecurity they have until they actually start going online. And just understand that's a normal process. Everyone has insecurities about things. But if you are wanting that longevity being a content creator, you're gonna need to address the fact that you hate your body and listen, you can create content where you don't show your body. And
that's honestly a tip that I would say. If you're not secure about certain things and you need to wear makeup, or you need to do your hair a certain way, or you need to not show your body whatever, for sure you can do that. But what I will say is, think about the next five to ten years. If your career is going to evolve, it might require you to maybe show your body sometimes maybe not, but maybe you'll want to, or maybe you'll find it's so difficult to continuously grow when
you are hiding parts of yourself. So can you start to do that deep inner work? And I honestly would say, grab my book because I talk about the shadow self and why we put parts of us in our shadows and where that comes from and how to heal from that? Is there ways that you can learn to love yourself? Why do you have to have Like I don't know what your mindset is when it comes to your body image, but like, who's to say you have to have a certain type of body type
to be showing up online? Who are you watching that maybe doesn't resemble your body type? Like, there's many things that you haven't grained in your mind that I would suggest doing that deep healing work around, because again, it's just going to be hard, right, You're not going to want to record, or you're not going to want to go for your dreams if you have all these insecurities, So really working on that and also the being afraid that
people from your hometown are gonna see your stuff? Please please please please please please please enough with this, please, this cannot be the reason why you start something in your life. Like as much as I understand that, I promise you, I get it. The fear of somebody seeing you from your hometown and maybe they're cringing at your stuff or they're making fun of your thing.
But listen, if somebody is making fun of you. If somebody is making fun of you and somebody is picking out a flaw, if somebody is sending your shit or cringing about your stuff, it does not matter. It's a them thing. You are not going to let somebody from your hometown dictate your future, are you? Like? Really? Really? If I cared about what people thought about me from my hometown, I wouldn't be here talking to you guys. It's wild behavior and that cannot be Other people's opinions on
your life are so irrelevant, so irrelevant? Why because your life and if people are not gonna support you or people don't like you, then they're not for you. So why would you live life for people who don't even like you? Let alone of life for people who like you you're going to live life or somebody who doesn't even like you and who doesn't have the confidence the way you do to go out there and help people or change the world or
do something, you need to not let that be a thing. And also I would say try to stop hyper focusing on it because you don't even know how many people are really looking at your stuff or what they're thinking about your stuff, Because how I look at it, or how I think about it, is if I were to think about my old friends or people from my hometown or people who know me in real life. When I think about them thinking about me, I think that they think that I'm amazing. I don't
go straight to oh my god. They probably think I'm so cringe and I'm so different, or why am I talking about this or that. I don't think that. So think in your favor if you're going to think about these people thinking about you and do what you need to do. Also, actually, one more thing when it comes to body image and feeling insecure online, I totally get it. I really do understand that people are dying for content
creators to be more authentic. Okay, and I know we have been influenced from the perfect girls online to maybe look like them or have a better body or better skin, or have all the outfits. But people really want to relate to people who are real. And so if you can be that influencer who is a little bit more real and shows a little bit more realness about yourself, whether it's your body or your skin not being perfect all the time, or you not always wearing makeup, or you sharing that you had a
bad day. Please do it because I know it helps so many people. And I get it. It's you, right, it's your like, it's the deepest parts of you, and you're going to share that to the world, and I know you have to be careful with doing that, Like, for sure, be careful. I get that I don't share everything I'm going through, but I do know the impact that makes and for me the line
of work that I'm in, that's what I want. And bringing it to what I wanted to talk about, which was hard days, I've been having a few really hard days, and do I want to talk about that and let people know that I have hard days or I struggle and i'm emotionally. I wouldn't say a wreck. I definitely wouldn't say a wrec but I just
don't have those perfect days. I don't love the idea of letting people know that, but I know that that's so important, and honestly, I don't want people to look at me like I am perfect because I'm not, because that also puts a lot of pressure on you to show up in a certain way. And yeah, I don't know, that's just like, that's what I think about when it comes to being a content creator. But I also just know the impact that it makes on other people when you do share that
you don't have the best day. So just being real, if you are going to be a content creators, I don't know. I think it's personally the best, but also it just allows you to have long jevity, right because if I have a bad day, maybe I can't talk about the thing that I really wanted to talk about because I am struggling over here. So how am I going to make money and how am I going to continue to run my business When I'm a real person, I have real bad days if
I can't share that with my audience. Again, I'm not saying you have to unveil everything that you've been going through, but for me, that's how I've wanted to run my business is leaving room for those days so that I can sustain, yes, my business, but of course so that I can help you guys. So anyways, yeah, I've been having a few bad days for sure. I went to yoga the other day. Okay, two
days this well, yeah, I guess this month. I had to sit down in my yoga class, which might seem like nothing, but for somebody who has a high pain tolerance, somebody who pushes herself, somebody who gets the job done. To have to sit down in my yoga class was not something I wanted to do. I was like I was fighting, okay, okay. So the first time that I had to sit down on my yoga class. And by the way, I do bickroom yoga, bickroom hot yoga.
The room is one hundred and four degreeaze fahrenheit. That shit is hot plus humidity, which is about usually forty percent higher than what it is so hot hot bodies. You feel disgusting after I'm not gonna lie, but then you feel so good. Anyways, I went on my first day of my period, which I had never done a class on my period, and I started to feel cramps. But I was like, I'm sure this is gonna
be fine. It wasn't fine. It was not fine. I could only do a few movements before I felt like I was going to fall on the ground. And I had to tell myself, like, just sit down, and you have to put your pride aside and your ego aside, and you have to sit because if you don't, you're probably gonna embarrass yourself more, if I'm being honest, but it is okay to not have that perfect day. And so anyways, I sat down, I laid down, and I
realized that I couldn't continue to go. So as they transitioned from standing to laying down series, I was like, I gotta go, which usually they tell you to stay in the class the whole time. So I was like, really kind of stressed about that. But I picked up my mat and I said, I gotta go, and that was tough for me. But then I had another day. The other day, I went to yoga and
I wasn't on my period, but it was extremely hot. It was like thirty degrees here in uh Toronto, so it was like one of the hottest humid days and I didn't really think about the fact that hot yoga was going to be really hot. But I had to lay down and I had to take the l once again. And honestly, that day, I was really emotionally exhausted. I've been emotionally exhausted for the past few days. I went to my women's circle and it brought up a lot of trauma things and such
that I ended up having to process. So I just wasn't having a good week, and I wasn't having a good day, and I had to stop, and I had to like change my entire course of my week. And I'm just saying that because when you are on a journey of up leveling your life and changing your life and shedding old versions of you and really transforming your life, You're gonna have these days, okay, like growth. Really it's not that it requires you to have growing pains and bad days, but there's
gonna be days where there's growing pains. Okay, It's not gonna be all peaches and roses. And so I just the reason why I'm saying that is because if you are currently which I feel like all you guys are in different aspects when you listen to my podcast, if you are trying to hit goals, you're trying to do something in your life, and you're having those hard days, understand as a part of the process, and do not use this as evidence as you're not gonna get what you want or you're not on the
right track. It's just simply a day or a phase or a week or however long that you need. That is just a part of the journey, and you just need a break or you just need to emotionally release. It doesn't mean that you have ruined anything. The mindset of you thinking you've ruined something because you had a day where it didn't go flawless will be why you continue to not have good days. Really, So it's you judging the fact
that you had that day that really messes things up. And I actually recently just posted a video on my YouTube channel talking about this, so it's just go watch that. I talk about shedding old versions of you and how days are not going to be perfect and those are the days that you're actually going to build the most confidence and resilience within yourself. What I mean, don't
break on the days that are hard. You can break, but don't look at your trajectory of your whole entire life and where you're going and be like, I'm broken, I'm not doing it right and I'm not going to get what I want. It's simply just a day that you are feeling not the best. Surrender to that day if you need. Okay, anyways, this episode's getting really long. There's a few updates that I wanted to give you. I might be getting braces instead of in visiline, I ended up going
to a second dentist to get an opinion. Definitely go and do your research and get multiple opinions sometimes because I was about to spend eight K on invisil line from my one dental place just because that's where I go usually get cleanings, and they gave me a quote of eight K, and my friend, who's a dental hygienas, she's like, we do in visil line, and we do it for about three K, so you're coming to my place.
And then when I went to her place, her dentist actually suggested that I do braces because the way the spacing is within my teeth, it makes way more sense to actually do the real braces than to do in visil line, because she was saying, how in visil line will not be strong enough to have the movement or whatever I need to place my teeth the way that I need to have them, because I actually have a crossbite in all this stuff, and mainly it was to close my gap, but there's other actual structural
issues when it comes to my teeth. So anyways, I don't know fully if I'm going to do it yet, but I'll keep you guys updated, but just in case anyone was wondering, that's where I'm at right now. Which whatever it is, what it is. I went to John Summit the other day, and if you guys have him coming close to wherever you live, please go and see him. That was the best house music concert that I've ever been to, and I would honestly say it was the best time,
better than any festival that I've gone to. So I don't know how Veld is going to even top that, but that was the best freaking concert ever went right to the front stage. I posted a video of him on my TikTok, but I also have a few videos, I think on my Instagram. But I am just so here for concerts. I went to Bryson Tiller. I'm going to a few more of this summer. I'm going to a lot. I am so stoked to go to Tate. I can't even talk about it because I will go into an entire rant, but I will
have an entire vlog. I'm sure going to see her. But I am so here for any day things, concerts, festivals as well. But there's just something about a concert and a festival that makes me so excited. I need to be at an actual concert with music and friends, music and friends, a few drinks flowing. Is this the best time? I freaking love
it. If you guys didn't watch my Summer Diaries video where I talked about manifesting the summer of my dreams on my YouTube, I went on my first brand trip, which is wild to say, but I went on my first brand trip to Muskoka, and I was talking about how I had been wanting to go to Muskoka, and of course, like I had said even this episode, as soon as I want a desire, I have a desire, and I just like think about it. It really just kind of comes to
me. Like I try not to get into the way of like how or when or put limitations or timelines on things, but I have been saying I want to go to Muskoka. I want to go to Muskoka, but honestly, it is expensive to go and it's hard to get friends to go with, and I would love to go again. But I just said I'm gonna go to Muskoka this summer, and lo and Behold, Hey You, which is a brand that I love working with, ended up reaching out and being like, hey, let's work together. On a new campaign, which is
great. I've already worked with them on a campaign before, but they're like, by the way, we're gonna be doing a brand trip with this campaign, and guess where we're going. We're going to Muskoka. So that was another manifestation which I freaking loved. The last thing is I need to start watching Love Island. Please let me know in the comments if you guys have started watching Love Island season is it eleven or ten? I don't even know,
but it's the UK one I believe. I'm obsessed with Love Island and I used to watch it all the time, but UK is the best. But I need to get into it, and then maybe on the next off topic episode, I'll give you my thoughts because I'm very much so ready to binge watch a dating show. I feel like sometimes I'm not in the mood to watch people do dating shows and stuff. Maybe if I'm like sad or I don't know, you know those ones. But anyways, I'm going to
start watching that. So that's gonna be it for today's episode. It was so long. I hope you guys enjoyed. I have a lot of episodes coming that I'm really excited about being magnetic and changing your energy when it comes to manifesting but not really but whatever, being an energetic magnet. I also want to talk about how to be more emotionally mature, which will be a full guide. So let me know which one you want to see. But either way, they're both gonna come out. So I hope you guys enjoyed
it and I'll see you in the next one. Bye.
