Episode description

Marking the May 24, 2023, one-year anniversary of the Uvalde, Texas school shooting when 18-year-old Salvador Ramos killed 19 kids and 2 teachers and injured 17 others, guest host Adam McManus talks with Michael Letts, a 30-year veteran of law enforcement.

Letts, who was born on the mission field in Mexico and who graduated from Liberty University where he was the bodyguard for the late Rev. Jerry Falwell, addresses why:

*  It took 77-minutes for the police to finally take out Ramos.

*  The former Uvalde school district police chief Pete Arredondo hesitated for so long to give the command to breach the classroom. (He was eventually fired.)

*  90% of U.S. police do not have an “active shooter” bullet proof vest made with titanium to protect them from an AK-47 or an AR-15-style rifle.
