As an audio engineer he met Christopher Guest and they became good friends. Then he audio engineered the National Lampoon Radio Hour and became friends with Chevy, Belushi, Radner, Murray, etc. He produced the Blues Brothers Album and started writing and producing TV. He produced and wrote on SNL and is responsible for hiring Gary Kroeger to be in the cast. And shows no remorse for doing so.
