We'd like to welcome. Ever, we went to another episode of Against the Chronicles podcast hosted by myself Big Stealing my homeboy MCA, who's presently not here today because he had a little health issue. Nothing serious, but keep my boy in players, bless the show. That's my boy in your prayers. Man, he gonna be straight. And today Man, I got some of the young soldiers Man from the
city of Compton, California. Man, one of the young managers out here, one of the young execstion the game, making a lot of moves to Homie mud dollars and one of the little home he's signed to my Homeboys label. Man, you know, made a lot of noise. Man was dealing with dip set West for a minute, had some other things going on. Man, keep the rule, sir. What's happening to me? Man for chau for show. It's a pleasure to be here, Jo Man for Shore. Thanks, thanks for
coming down to check us out. Man, you know what I'm saying, you know, just correction on the intro. I'm from bill Flower, California. Bill Flower, Okay, their eels right there. Correction alers, bill Flower, you knew it's crazy. Dog. You're the first dude I ever heard just say, Man, I'm from bill Flower. Okay, did you play football over there? Nah? I played the corner, played at the corner. Yea hustling the whole Yeah, lines for real, for real, man, people
don't know it. Man, Bill Flora's kind of crim I ain't gonna say. It's kind of everywhere you go, it's California, like like that's what you gotta understand, Like California just got a hole or itself. Yeah, California's off the chain. Everywhere you go, it's it's something, it's it's it's if it's some niggas there, it's going on. And so happened. My mama moved to a block where it was going on.
You know what I'm saying, it transplants over there, because you got what makes that area unique is that you got the Compton transplants, you got the Long Beach transplants, man Wood, you got some kids from La. It's moving to bell Flower because bill Flora is one of those areas. It's kind of conceit the stephing. It's a real small city. It's a small city. It's a real small city. But it's cracking over there. Most definitely it's cracking over there.
You in the wrong parks, you could definitely find yourself cut up in some ship. When I moved up over there, the street that I moved to, you could lift this. It was they had like a barrier like where you only can drive down the street because there was so much traffic, like it was only a one way you know what I'm saying. And they made it like that because of the traffic. But the year I moved there, I think it was like ninety two, Like they took they took it off and it was like, yeah, the
block is drug free. A year later, I was selling rocks on that motherfucker in front of KFC. I'm saying, on the cornt of you lit loungeer like it happened just like that. I moved from like a place where like you know what I'm saying, like to right there and you know, hopped off the ports right there. You know, thinking about that man you said you were selling rocks. Where did you go to bed for all of high school? Yeah? When did you start selling due going into the ninth grade.
I was thirteen going into the ninth grade. Yeah, because I used to ask my homie sneak every day for twenty five seven for a little Debbie Brownie because he was already off the porch. He was doing it his thing, full flair, he had it going on. Niggas already doing this shit, and uh, he told me. He was like, we were from Larry from hustles, Like you gotta get you a hustle, nigga. Like that's just basically what it was. And I was like, how do that? He was, all right,
I'm gonna lone use some money. We're gonna do this, you know what I'm saying. He gave me um eight nickel sacks at the time, like it was um like red hair sets, you know sets weed, you know, lime green sets. He gave me that ship nickel sacks. Uh, I gave him twenty his twenty back. I got the flipping. No, the homie taught me to flip, so I took it. I took it from there. I remember, man, this ship when I first came to California. Man, I don't read here. Sets used to be forty five dollars. I think I
think it was like fifty or something. You know, that's what he was getting for it. But for nigga fifteen years old, having a plug like that, like the home was up. You know what I'm saying. Like then then fast forward, Uh, he lost his pack one day and he was like, I just cost one hundred twenty five dollars. That's that's how much the quarterpiece cast the seventh ground And he was like, I ain't tripping. You ain't tripping at that time. I ain't never seen a hundred and
twenty five dollars. That was a lot of money. That was a lot of money back then, you know what I'm saying. So um, I did some ship like basically I went through the trash can, the homie through his shoot his ship away. On accident. I found the homie work and I said give me, I said, give me a dying rocket out of it, just playing, just playing around. You're like, nigga, what you're gonna do with that? I said, Nigga'm gonna go to the end of the block and
sell it. I got halfway up the block two minutes later. Nigga, that was the quickest ten dollars I ever made. I had that fever like like right then, it was it was up. It was where was your like doing the same Okay, U pops. He was doing a little stint. You know what I'm saying. My pops did probably like I would say, like twenty years in and out me growing up, you know what I'm saying. Like I saw the nigga when I was five. Then I saw the
nigga when I was twenty three. You know what I'm saying. Then, Uh, my mama, she she was working two jobs, so you was just home by yourself. Out bought any siblings. We had any brothers, and I got two brothers, and I had an older sister. But my older sister she wanted to be grown, so her and my mama fell out. She moved to LA with her daddy. Um, shit, I'm in the town. I'm in Belle Flower like well, um with my two brothers and and shit, I'm the oldest.
So shit, hey, so mama wasn't there. It was a thing like I wanted some Jordans, and my mama said, like I remember, like I remember it vividly. She was like, uh she was pregnant. She's like, uh, I gotta save for the baby. And it fucked me up because I couldn't get that money. So you know, and I want them Jordan's I'm gonna get them. Jordanst just jumped on
the ports out from Jordan's. I mean, now, Keitha, you being right down the street over in Compton, which is really right down the road with it, it make me like twenty minutes fifteen yeah, ten fifteen with that traffic on motherfucking that our teacher hill, it's about fifteen minutes. It's always always when you get right there about the six o five and you know that's right, you got the one on five. Let her off hopping on the one oh five for sure. Facts you know, are the
ninety one get off at all? You know, Wilmanton And it's a question for both of y'all with the two cities being so close. It ain't never been though, like Bill Flower Compton funk at the bill bill Flower got the neighborhoods. Yeah my neighborhood is that right? Yeah? Yeah? She what's the neighborhood? Yeah? Seven or six houses? Seven or six houses, yeah, yeah, just you know, original hospitals and I know, no cripping or no blood with it.
So like that was like kind of like that like separate my homies, like well we was about like it wasn't with no color. So like you you Mike catches with some pious like my whole family. I had never been around piroules until I met Slam and you know t K. Now, I'm like, my whole family is Compton crips. You know what I'm saying. So that's just how it is. Yeah, you start doing your thing real young, Yeah, yeah, real young shit like I said. Shit, Like I said, I
lived in the growing up. So like I said, I'm, you know, product of my environment type shit. You know, like I said, my uncle, you know, major factor in my life. I'm saying, you know, big, big part of the set for me. Said yeah, that's why I looked up to growing up and ship. Yeah for sure. So you from T two Teas and the Peak two Teas man, always you young man. But I was talking to t
K Man earlier. Man, I was telling them, Man, I wish black tone was here sometimes, man, because the ship is the ship is goofy, right, yeah, it's real goofy man. I hate that for it was in structure. It's the structure when of these around a little bit a little s Actually, I know one thing for sure, and I
can guarantee you this, my nigga wouldn't be on the internet. Facts. Yeah, the game to change, the game to change I saw, I said, like a lot of my fuckers be like you know, Ki, when you're doing this doing that, Like I'm in and out the game, you feel me collect with a lot of bullshit that going on me, I'm just not with you, feel me? So I two and chatter in the game. Like I said. As far as music, ain't nobody fuck with me when it comes of music. I don't know if school yeah, so yeah, I don't. Yeah.
As far as the music shit, like I said, I know, I'm one of the greatest, like ever, like you know what I'm saying. But as far as the industry on me, I'm just not with a lot of the ship that go on in the industry for me. Ye's a lot of stuff. You've been around for a minute. Correct me if I'm wrong. He was working with Black Wall Street for a minute right now. I was with a dip set West for a second. I mean black black Wall
Street as my friend. Like I said, I got Like I said, if anybody can see it, I see the block, you feel me? So anybody can see the block, you know, if they grew up in there. That my grandma's spot was like the main. I grew up over there too, so that my granma. So I was like the headquarters. And see the block. Anybody from C the block, they know bable that's my grandma. You can rest in peace. So yeah, I got a major connection with them too. Like I said, got brothers from cit the block. I
got family. I got a whole lot of family for see the block. So you're not then my folks though, But now, but you know, my first deal was with dip set West thought West? How was that? How was that? High y'all? Connect? Man? Um? I was doing Um? I was doing showcases and shit in Hollywood, Like you know what I'm saying, I never lost the showcase you for me. I'm knocking them out back and back. You know what I'm saying. I want Like I was really taking this
ship real serious for me. So We're pushing up the shows about like sixty eighty thick. You know, all the homies in family and ship. So I'm winning every motherfucking podcast you can name, like I'm doing that. So then they had one that was at the UM was naming that damn club. I think it was the Key Club, not the Key Clock that one with I know that wan I was having to do, but it was some some damn club that they used to do a little ship. But King Ryan has some ship going on and the
winner got to get signed to DIP, said West. So I want that ship, and I got signed to DIP, said West, and did the year with them and ship. They really fucking with you, Like, like, who reached out to you first? I'm over there. Yeah, not the you know, the owner of the CEO of the label was more or Mars. You know what I'm saying, Mr Shree fine mistaking, but yeah he was there. He saw my performance and ship as soon as I want, you know, blessing the niggas said yeah, you The next thing we did a
little we had a little stint, you feel me. It was what it was. But I had caught some slack in Hollywood from the show he talked about a Key Club. I caught some slack from neck because you know, some shit went down that wasn't puposed to go down and somebody ended up. You know. It was a little fightings
and all that kind of shit. So I got black Ball, to be honest, I got black ball from Hollywood for about a good ship longer than what I expected to be, like to the point to where when I was signed to dip set and we had a show in Hollywood. You know what I'm saying. They they letting them know, like hey, R can't get down like you know what I'm saying, because because of the ship that happened at the night that he talked about you, I mean, was
out of my hands, you feel. But you know, just me being one my niggas, you know what I do what I do. So that happened and then I got blackball for a minute. But I mean now I think I think I didn't got pasted it now you feel about five years. The thing is with the thing about the internet, The Internet is a gift fan of curse. Yeah, if you got a hustlerbox yourself, you can make yourself a good living on the internet down a cool living. You can make a cool living online. That's what the
money are now. Shit getting all the money shit like well you know it's some cool money, man, But motherfucker's out there like I got millions of dollars yak in front of you. I'm just sitting on the motherfucking million dollars. You know what I'm saying. The reception is a motherfucking you know. This is something I want to ask bullth of y'all. With the bullshit that come along with the Internet, Man, did you ever find yourself having to take breaks from
the bullshit? This is the thing about that, Like, if you take a break, you're gonna miss something because a nigga, like real talk, a nigga see everything, but the nigga don't dressed under that bullshit. I hear everything that niggas want to say or whatever. But at the same time, I'm one of them people that I'll be within Really, I really be within the ship. Music handled in my business. So hey, man say whatever, like it's it's a freedom
of speech all that. But if I see the wrong people in the airport, it's gonna be that I'm probably not gonna ever be able to fly again. But I'm never gonna address I'm never gonna I'm gonnaok at that came right there. I'm never gonna address nigga on this YouTube. I'm gonna address some ice water ship. That's it business,
that's it me shit. I mean, like I said, um, like that I mean, like I said, like you said, it's getting the curse you fore me because like I said, I just can't get with a lot of the inn and this ship. You feel me, It's it's hard. I know, I know I should because of the further of my ship, but my morals be like you know what I'm saying, I got you know, I gotta stay grounded on me. It's a lot of funk shit out here that I'm
just not with. Like you feel me, it's hard for me to be in a crowded like even I FOK with the culture heavy for me, but I know it's a lot of niggas that's faking. It's hard for me to fake it when I so you won't see me a lot on miscellaneous ship on some just pop up just because everybody else there and because I know shit fake you fe me because I'm a real genuine dude. If I fuck with you, I'm really fuck with you for me. But I know it's a lot of fake
in the ship for me, so I don't. It's hard for me to like try to know what I'm saying going on. It's like I tell you what this shit man, with my personal experience is with the stuff. But we were talking about the situation with what the dude's name. Dude made a little video about me to do that, like he is sixty year old two punk oh um um, I think oh I was telling you about to do from from watch that I saw this video. Yeah, you're talking about the BJ dude. Okay, yeah, so he's going crazy.
That's funny, man. You know what, though he's always in character. Though he's a great actor. He's a great actor. Though he's always in character. I don't know him. I don't know him personally. I just hey, when I saw it, I'm like, I know who he said something about you? Oh yeah, man, he looked. You know what. Man, that's a good thing. Man. It's cool when you're the topic of discussion, right. I didn't do Number help homeboy, do number help them. Everybody that has an issue with me,
dog as a motherfucker, I helped tremendously, tremendously. You know, I'm not gonna get into that because these guys all coming from a place of emotion. I don't deal in emotion, not deal in business. You know, they can say whatever they want to about me. You never go you never go get a rise out of me because you respond and you put your energy into things that you care about.
You feel what I'm saying. I can't prioritize them and place them in the same order of importance as I do my family, my true friends, my loved ones, people that's been down with me since you know, day one. I can't put them in that same category. Now if they do something to me, I'm gonna be hurt. I'm be devastating. These people's words or actions have no impact on me. They have none at all. It's nothing but entertainment man and comment section father. That's all of those
dogs bullshit. Um. Like it's it's like back to um what I was saying. What I was saying too much. It's like I can't. I can't play the content game when like people can tell a blatant lie, but there's so many people might feed into that ship and that's the type of shit that that can bring all type of eyes can george you. And it's like like then people can say some shit, It's like like why would
you even say that, dude? Like and if if people with any type of common sense, like if people speak on them type of topics, they can see like that, ain't that. Ain't that ain't right? Like, but then a person will be like, I ain't no snitch, but you just said all of that and you you put my name in it like like bro, like I'm really out here on some music shit. I'm out here on some music shit, like like a nigga and did all that, Like like I said that what I was speaking on
when I hopped off the ports. I was thirteen to to fucking seventeen eighteen doing that shit. But like when a nigga speak on some ship, like nigga, do shit legal with this cannabis shit, Like I had a nigga like speak on me like I'm nigga selling hundreds of pounds man like that. That's that's where it's like that. That's rather just be on some business shit. That's the
Internet price, like bro, that's the Internet price. Like whenever you're doing something man and you're making a living off of it, you don't have to be ball and everything is not about balling all the time. You can just be making a living dog doing something that you like and really having fun and doing your craft. That's what it should be about, more than money anything else. I
genuinely enjoy what I do. Right, So people when they see persons doing something the team a certain level of success. You may be making four or five thousand dollars a month doing cool for yourself. Man, that five go turning the fifty, and it's gona turning the sixty. And every nigga that you know that didn't want to do the ship with you were infest into it with you. Man, you know I was with him. I was with him.
You know he owed me this and that I'm the one that thought of this and that it's gonna be all that dog because I'm gonna tell you, dog, niggas and flies, I don't know which one worse. Niggas, flies and fucking mosquitoes. Dog, I heard that sucking ass dry and ain't ain't a diamond I had and nothing. They've been expecting some ship though, But like I said, the thing is, like I said, you got too many motherfuckers.
Like I said, the internet is, like I said, a cold perception because like I said, like like with me, like I said, motherfucker's swearing. Nigga don't like this swear. I'm just just up like a motherfucker like nigga I know I struggled like everybody else. You feel me like I said, they said and they got a house right here. I got a house in Vegas. But like, man, I'm taking care of like three hours old. I just had
a baby in Vegas. So you feel me like niggas a thing like nigga, You're struggling like a motherfucking on me. But you can't tell these mothers do They don't never see him blanking them Texas that come with that was just online negotiating me up a monthly painted plane yesterday because it's read a lot here. Real, I don't think about it as a motherfucker. I don't even stuff costs money, man,
Buildings cost money. Man. You know, doing a podcast, hosting the shit online somewhere, doing a marketing form at winning YouTube only the half of Nigga at the end of the month, I should get half of everything, because I'm
you're doing what you're showing up for hour every week month. Nigga, come on man, like like with me, like um having the label with Slim with Slim for a hundred, just having to pay for marketing, just being having business that we had prior to him passing and putting out a new aposthumous album and just everything that comes with that, marketing, promotion, dealing with artists, videos, everything that come with that. Like like like it's it's a lot, like this ship is
not what it's cracked up the beach. Hell yeah, we're gonna we're gonna do these videos. We're gonna make it look good. Nigg gonna and I'm supposed to. We've been on the road for four or five years. I'm not supposed to throw shows in other regions. I'm not supposed to deal with these promoters and people are like, man, that's what networking is all about. So that's why I nigga gonna see me catching flies. Yeah, I'm gonna posted
that's the content of this shit. I ain't posting it like to stunt on you niggas, Like this is the content of me fucking moving and working. That's it. It should be used as a motivational tool. Yeah, if they're playing it right, you know what I'm saying. A lot everybody ain't gonna like it, and that's just what it is, and I'm not mad about it. But but for the people who do support it and support this Ice Water Ship, support Mud dollars, support Trojan Boy, support anything that Slim
Folk Hunter did. I appreciate that shit. Support Cavalart girl, I appreciate that. You know what I'm saying. I pop up everywhere by myself. But because a nigga don't have it to have ten of the homies with me, and it's just like that. It ain't because Mud is a selfish nigga. We don't gotta like that. But it's there, like we got million dollars partners and but you gotta work.
Now we're in the process of rebuild it, you know what I'm saying, Like, so yeah, it is not what it's you know, I definitely want to touch him with both of you are real quick. I want to touch on two people. I want to touch you on Slim four hundred and I want to touch on Mossburg, Big Marsy Big Johnny Big. Johnny Burns just got me Chillsberg was a rapping motherfucker dog. You gave me chills when you said that. The name shit like I said, that's my favorite rapper, Like I say him quick as like
wanting two for me. So yeah, Mosburg definitely, like I said, a lot of my ship a lot of people say, I sound like you mean some of my ship. Yeah, that's why I grew up on Man moss Burg, Sugar Free and Jake Quick. Shit. You know what Big Marsy Man always tell everybody. I think he was on his way to do in the West Coast. Biggie Dog time.
She's ahead of his time. Bro. It was crazy. You hear people like I hear the bike, so I hear the You know, I don't call it pean of Marge because when you're paying a Marge somebody, it's a fee to come with that, you feel what I mean, especially when you're doing their music. You know, the Get Naked record, you know Nellie took that to man, the Big Old is Getting Hot. That was Marsberg's record. Acts. That's crazy that they was biting homie dogs. It was biting the man.
And I really feel like that. And I really feel like that. Um, I really feel like, man, he don't get spoke on enough for I know he don't get spoken enough man, because he was because you know when you saw him from the beginning, Man, I wish t K was on here, but you know, I know he ain't gonna be getting on camera. But from the beginning. Black Tone saw something in him because Big Johnny didn't
come with the craziest demo in the world. He had a song in the way he was rapping over the the Michael Jackson stuff that at that time, that at that time, that done time, but it was it wasn't recorded the sharpest, but you could tell. I said, this dude got talent. Man like he got some shit about him, you know. And Big Johnny was so cool because all Malesburg wanted man with some La Gates dog and some motherfucking's shoes from swapped me. That was his fantasy dog.
I just wanted me a motherfucking the Meal, a Gates or some motherfucking no doubt. Like I said, I met Moss Eve the ship when I was shit about nine, about eight nineteen, like I said him in my relative they used to be in the studio altogether and ship. They had black Black tech rangers and ship. So they started that out. There was in the um was that Rubadors ship recording and all of him Mastermind six Meal from West Side, all the niggas. I grew up watching
them niggas record. So like I said, Marsburg, it was just his like the same thing with me. Like I said, he's just like he knew could nobody fuck with him like himselves? Just confidence. He was just delivery his flow, just knowing like I'm not nigga, Like know what I'm saying. Yeah, yeah, you to be gone. Boy. The boy Black Tumb got an eye for talent. Man. He found sugar Free and Mansburg Dog them too was finished. He was on top dog. He was. He was on his way for the show.
He was gonna be on man. But I think, like I said, it's just like envy. It's envy on me. Like I believe you know the motherckers I did that new knew he was on his way. What I'm saying with somebody, Yeah, niggas behaving, bro, niggas behaving. Mans behaving for show they've seen he was on his way. Yeah for sure. It's almost best. Man, if you have success as a young black man, you need to immediately move out to your neighborhood because it's gonna be a faction
of people that love you. It ain't gonna be it's gonna be the feudis in the middle. It's gonna be either a faction of people that love you to death, and happy for you, but it's also gonna be a contingent of people that's mad as a motherfucker. Ter ruth think he yells, you're about to go through this. Look at this motherfucker MUDs as they're just leaving the motherfucker behind the ship and that's when ship start going around. There's an energy dog and they're gonna talk to anybody
about it that they can. Man and we in this real negative era. You know what I'll tell all my homeboys, man and my friends. Everybody gotta have it when somebody got a video speaking on your name that they send a ship to you like you ain't heard about it from leading other people. Soon happens to els. You keep getting these motherfucking text messages with a motherfucker with his name all in your motherfucking mouth. And I'm a businessman. I'm not no crip, I'm not no blood cool with
every motherfucker. I came out to this motherfucking nineteen eighty eight. Dog, I was a kid when I came out here. I did never started game banging, So I mind my own business. Dog, I'm a businessman. I'm kind harder to people. I'm a given person. See a lot of this ship that happen. It's my fault because I'm a real given person. But when you give a motherfucking shit that they don't appreciate, they start taking it like it's supposed to happen. I
feel what I mean. No, it's it's supposed to happen. You should be they justified, They mine like you should be. But I want to let this be known. Man, don't mistake my kindness for the weakness. Please don't make that mistake, because I believe it's black people. So you've got to remember, I'm originally from the Midwest. It's not like out here because they have just as much racism out here as they do in any other part of the country. It's just more covert out here. People just don't talk about
I'm from Ohio. You have a tendency to stick together with other black people because it was real segregation when I went there. All the black folks stayed in the east side, the white folks stayed on the west side, and it cashed the head. A little bit of paper stayed up in the heights anything what heights on the end of the name, Shaker Heights, Cleveland Heights. That was a good area. Right. We was down the fish bowl
in the hood. Right, So you learned, man to stick together because the white folks out there, man, you nigga, they ain't got no problem and they will chunk them with your Yeah, they got some real woods. They get busy, they say nigga and say, we don't get together. Nig
We got asked out, So you gotta do it. Like I was like over here, I can said over here, and ship is hidden like I said, of course, it's it's present every every day, but like they try to hide it, you know what I'm saying, More like it's you know, oh yeah, they definitely because they definitely sticking together. They definitely sticking together. And like just the thing like what with myself, um and with homies, people don't they don't understand how I can turn it off that homies
shit and just be on business. Yeah, And I like cool, are you from wherever you're from? You know what I'm saying. I respect that, But when we handle on this business, that's all I care about, you know what I'm saying. Like people don't understand how, like how can you turn it off? Because I've been doing it so long, Like I have to. Bro I was an engineer. I recorded some of the worst niggas and I couldn't tell a
nigga yo shit whack because I'm only paid to record. Well, if you if you paying me to executive produce a song, that's something different. I give my input and all that type of shit. If you ask me, I'm gonna tell you because I'm not a yes man. But people don't understand. You can just turn it off like I would record people for hours, Broe on these niggas like this should have you know, yeah, you know what the thing about that,
dog is people really have a tendency. Man. People become complacent, and we can become complacent too, if we don't watch what it is we're doing, if we don't put ourselves in check, because sometimes you had and say, where am I fucking up at? You need to work on? If we ain't working in that direction, Dog, what the fuck is we here for? Facts? What the fuck is we here for? I don't want to just be a regular nigga, Dog,
I want to be an extraordinary nigga. And that's why y'all sitting up here, because I think y'all some extraordinary cats like I've been looking next you wiggle mugs for a minute. I'm gonna tell you a funny Slim four hundred stories. So Slim was supposed to come to the show. He's supposed to show up to the show. So we up there, me eight James up there, were up there waiting, right, were doing to showing Passadena at that time, and were sitting up there waiting. It's like five minutes till, so
we're not tripping. We know artists. He might get here nine or five nineteen or whatever, right, because when we tell you nine o'clock, we really mean nine thirty. So you know what I'm saying, You give them that time because they will come late. Right. So I hit them and I say where you have, big dog? He say, on right down the street. Man, I'll be there. I'll be in a few So, man, thirty minutes go by.
I say, man, I'm looking at them niggas. They're looking at me, right, And I say, fuck, let's see what's going to start recording the show. We knocked the episode without we've done. Man. We just counted the shooting the ship and I just called him to tell him, you know what, don't even worry about my nigga, turn around right now, you know. I said, where are you at? He said, Man, I'm almost getting off this freeway. The
freeway to Trap from Vegas is fucked up. I said, my nigga, I said, you just decided to leave the house when I got you, when I asked you to do the show, you just decided I'm gonna way the couple longs before and just trying to make it down there real quick. But it was kind of funny as a motherfucker dog at the time and just remembering him. Man, he seemed like he was a real funny dude, Man Bardy, life of the party for the show. Yeah, was he The niggay just had jokes all the time. He jokes,
dummy jokes. You're gonna crack on your ass, and don't get if you had them bass shoes, nigga shirt too small, whatever. He's gonna let it be known. Hen he's gonna crack on the baddest bitch. Hes gonna find out I'm bad about her and get the cracking owner, and he gonna fuck off. If niggas was gonna flip them hose, it's over. Don't give a fuck. You better have you better have tough skin around slim. Two of the most part, don't
like a dude, genuine and most genuine loving person. Like at the most part, like I said, he fuck with you, fuck with you heavy yeah, man with the what made you get in the management mud? Um always was a person that was organizing the scene. Always the one. Like we had a rap rap um click at Bell Fly High School, Vietnam. Like I organized the niggas. It was maybe fifteen deep at the you know, the popular table, but it was the rap table. I turned that ship
into the rap table, you know. Um that type of thing. It was. Um, it was these high school events back in the day. It's called Battle of the High Schools. We used to go there and battle different niggas from different high schools from Poleague. We battled Technique and Dynamic Crew, like just different niggas from different high schools, you know. Um. So like that got me, That got me into it. I was around bad Luck, Uh, you know, a studio
underground music company. I had an office right there. It was on Rosecrans and uh and Crenshaw right there and Ship and I had a um the office upstairs and the studios down downstairs and Luck wanted to record all the time and he didn't had the funds. And I was like, Nigga, you're the hardest nigga that that comes to the studio. I'm a hog at rick pops and see if they get some studio on the cuff, because like, Nigga, I believe in you. And he was like for show
and I did that. They was oh yeah, look knew he could have been did at that, but that got me into it, you know, so like from there, it just I just really took it seriously. Bad look of bad motherfucker almost definitely one of the dopes that I ever met. Period. Yeah, I didn't mean so from there, Um, my big homie Libo, we got a studio bell Flower. We started mud Dollar Studios and I met I met Slim before that. Before we have mud Dollar Studios. I'm
skipping all type of shit. Um. They was have I think a birthday party at one of these parks and Slim I reached out to Lebo about helping him with the music, and Libo he was caught up with his family. He was like, my homie Mud really on that music. Shiit though, like I plug you with the homie Mud
and y'all can go from there. You know what I'm saying, like t K and Um Libo's brothers, So like that's like the connection, know what I'm saying like, um And when I met Slim, everywhere he said was blood treetop, bomped him blood treetop treetop about then I was like, I don't know how we what we gonna do? Did it? I was like, Nigga, we gotta be on business. Bro,
Like I know where you're from. I respect all that, but like we're gonna get up on this business and we're gonna make some ship um pop. And from that we was hitting the studio during our ship. Then um he started, Um why Gi emerged, you know what I'm saying. So he got with Ygi just being a homie. He was with Ygi being a homie and from there he started being a hype man. But they really wasn't doing records.
And at this time I had the studio on bell Flower like Artizer and Belle Flower Boulevard out the studios and I started recording Slim. Some would be up there every day and from there I'll just be recording them. Then it just went to well, I don't know who having on your business. I'm gonna hand to your business. I'm gonna take a shot at it. And we said goals every year. We said goals on what we wanted to do for um. How much he was paid for a verse, how much he has paid for a feature, um,
just different things he wanted to accomplish. We were right righting down at the end of the year, you know what I'm saying, And we would ship. We would always knock down the goals and probably like the first two or three months, he was on his way though, because y'all definitely running that ship like a motherfucking professional label. I was very impressed when I first started talking y'all, because you know where you get people coming on the show.
You try to find people that's interesting and and sometimes that may not be getting the exposure they're supposed to get. You want to promote dope shit like I heard about you in the city. Your name was ringing bills. You feel what I'm saying. Everybody, if they didn't know you personally, oh I knew it, Els, I knew where that is. You know what I'm saying. This has been the biggest thing, man.
What y'all noticed with the independent music scene right now, because it used to be real strong when I was coming up, when I was doing my thing. Is it harder now? What it? Or is it way easier there? To be honest, this is easier now. I'm like, I say, you really don't. I mean, I may it depending on what you what you're trying to do. It depends on what you're trying to do. Like I said, I mean, if you got if you got the funding, that's the
main thing. If you got the funding, I mean, you really don't need no labels to be honest with now, but the social media and all that ship. But if you need a back end or something, you know, and you got the talent all that, you just need somebody to take it to the next level. I ain't at nobody going to a label, you feel me. But if you can do it by yourself, shit, I said, go by yourself and you signed the Trovis and Records right now,
right Yeah? Yeah, So that's dope. Man. Shout out to the homeboy t K t K link up the same nighborhood, growing up in the set ship growing up, Like I said, he grow with my uncle, grow my uncle so shit, like so I moved to the I E to the valley for me. But every time I go back, shit, I mean he's one of themis right there, and shit, that's a good thing. Man. You were good people, man, facts people. Man. He could push that ship to the
motherfucking Max and Mud with Ice Water Wrecords. Man. You know that was a bigger loss, you know, Lou You know Lucien Slim was a major loss because he was the face of the label. I said, you promoting some different things. Now, I see you've got some heat over there. It don't look like you got a shortage artist. You know what I'm saying. Well, I've been doing it. I started the Big Clouds probably like a year before he passed.
So I started doing these festivals because basically I didn't we We would always try to get on Rolling Loud and it was like they were snubbing a nigga, like it was really some kind of black ball on what we had going on. But you can't black ball the street. So it's like, well, fucking my nigga, I'm gonna do a festival around you. You know what I'm saying, I'm gonna make you the headliner. I'm a book out there, I'm gonna rent the venue out, We're gonna get the security.
You know what I'm saying. Um, we we're gonna curate the show. You're gonna put your homies on and your niggas who you think is the hardest, and I'm gonna bring my people who I think it's the hardest, and I'm gonna sell the slots the rest. But we're gonna curate the shit because really, like if if we can just curate it dope enough to where we can just make make it off ticket sales and the homies is
coming to do favors, that's cool. But you still gotta like we gotta pay for a few heirliners, you know, like I did um a four twenty show with d W Flame. I paid them in like like we we packed it, packed it out in Vegas, like we did a show like that. It was Slim, d W and t Z. But the police came and shut it down before like TZ could go on, Like it was an
epic night. Keeter was there, like it went crazy. But um, just just just from that like with the with the with the big clouds, but um with ice Water, we rebranding, like that's that's how I feel. We just signed stack Man Boogie from Oklahoma City. That's um t K is one of the the young homies. They they branch out there. We just signed one of their young homies. Um. I
signed Good Grind from Inglewood. He was around Slim for for probably shit fifteen, sixteen years or more, you know what I'm saying, Like he grew up like around Slim, like probably longer than that. Like you know what I'm saying, since he was a fucking kid and Slim was fifteen, like Good Grind had been around him, he probably liked
twenty six, you know what I'm saying. So like them is the two artists that I signed, but I'm looking to sign two more artists and that's gonna be our our four and we're gonna run with that, like in memory of Slim. Like that's so I'm gonna push a little affectingcause you organized as a motherfucker dog to be a young nigga man, all of you. I want to disclose my age, my young nigga man, all bad blah blood still choose man, That's all I would say. I got you, but you're zing, but I'm yeah, I'm grown
than a motherfucker. Man. I don't fuck with no kids man at all. You gotta be grown. Fuck with me ps a bitch. Yeah, you sound like you got some pimpa nigue. Man. I'm just organized, man, just organized organized on a bitch, the business and just everything I do. That's it. Shit, that's the only way to be man, because being a manager sometimes though, that shit is a motherfucking hitdache. And I was gonna tell you all artists don't have no motion. Yeah, and you know you gotta
have something to manage, slim, have something to manage. Stop trying to gage yourself off for slim my nigga for real. And I love y'all if y'all got a real grind, but don't gage yourself off the next man. Just grind and do you because you're not him. You don't put his pants on. Yeah, yeah, all of us we man, We put our pants on one leg at a time, but we don't put that man pants on. Man. That's it. Do what you do. Don't gage yourself off for another man. Please,
don't do what you do. And don't feel entitled to nothing that you didn't work for. Simple as that work for this ship. And we all gonna have it. That's it. We can we can have it. Did you get a lot of that stuff? Man? But sometimes with artists, like when Slim was here, you had another artists on the on the roster and most definitely man niggas hate me and that's cool. So you got a lot of flat, flatter motherfucker's seeing how Slim get all this and not
all the artists. I'm just saying, like a couple, you know what I'm saying. I didn't. I didn't mind like cutting a few people off that we had to cut off. Like if I'm the fucking if I'm the he's the president, the CEO, and I'm his business partner. You can't love this nigga and not love me man, like we are brothers. Don't try to separate. What the fuck we didn't build? I ain't don't know, yes, man, shit, y'all can tell this nigga whatever I'm gonna say. Nah, bro, like nah,
people is good for. They don't divide the conference like all that shit we were bad for. That ship on the West coast, that ship horrible always come from again, Na, like they do that shit every region, all these other regions ain't together because I didn't being in all these other regions, it'd be looking like that on paper. But it's stay not together, you know what I'm saying. So because we niggas, it was born in us to be fucked up, and it's fucked up that let's at least
in business. Let's not be niggas. Let's turn into our business. Let's not be the best black businessman. Let's not be Let's just be a great businessman. Period. Don't don't put me in no box, bro. I'm just trying to be the best. That's it. I just wanted my partner to be the best. If I with KEA, if I fuck with TK, we got to be the best that doing this shit because they didn't count us out. You know. Yeah,
it's real ship dog cheat them right now. The Compton got like the best I would see on the West Coast. Man Company California, for sure. What's renting the race when it comes to MCS. Every motherfucker over there, correct, Damn like everybody everybody from Compton hard as a motherfucker. It almost like in New York you knew if rappers say he from Brooklyn, you're checking for because he's like, Okay, the motherfuckers got bars over there. Motherfuckers say from Queens.
You know he got bars, boot Tang, you know they came here from stat Nolan, the motherfucker's you know niggas say, Okay, the niggas over they got bars. Yeah, what's y'all think over in the motherfucking water to make all these motherfuckers. Then you got Kendrick, You got all these people, You got all these folks from Compton. Man, what is it over there? Shit? Basically just like every fucking every every
other ghetto shit. I mean, you're either gonna you're gonna sell drugs and you're gonna play sports, or you're gonna wrap shit. Soho, a lot of mother fuckers way out nigga. That was the only thing you can do where I'm from. You feel me. They give you know how to wrap shit. I'm gonna take this and go with it. You feel me, because, like I said, it's easily to get caught up in that shit out there. You feel me, so like a lot of a lot of nigga, that was the only
way out. Wasn't a microphone? You feel yeah? Man? You mixed DJ Quick earlier man, possibly one of the greatest producers of all time. He don't, you know, he don't give this freddit that he should getting. I think a lot of that stuff, you know, it's probably stuff that's on him. I don't know. But he's a bad motherfucker dog. He's a bad motherfucker music man. Yeah. We didn't. We we didn't. We didn't. Like I said, we've been chopped it up and you know, hung out and all that year.
We never got around of doing nothing. But you know, hopefully it'll be in the chords in the near future. But yeah, for the most part, like I said, that, boy, when it comes of music, like really knowing music like that nigga, that nigga's a genius boys, a genius. Man. What's your favorite DJ Quick album? Safe and Sound, Safe and Sounds? Everybody, I nigga was gonna say that for some reason, what's your favorite Quick album? Mud Uh? What's
the one Safe and Sounds with dollars and cents? U Uh? Yeah, yeah, I think that's the one. But now I like I like rhythm Lism too, because my my favorite DJ Quick song of all time is uh we Still Party. I thought balancing options in there twelve that might be balancing options too. I don't know it's one of the other. But Balancing Options is that which the party? That's my favorite record, so it might be Balanced Option. I think it was Rhythmalism, though that might that might be Rhythmalism.
You know, it's crazy. I was down, down down Rhythmalism, yea. I mean Rhythmalism was a different album and Balanced Options to me, you know, but they was both dope rhythm sh on some more grown shit on Rhythmism and this first one it was on some gro first one of the first DJ Quick album. It was it was special. Like when I first heard him, I was like, who is this dude right here? He had his own ship for show Man And I'm gonna ask y'all this question. Man,
don't get me new politicals. I hate when motherfucker's answered politically and just don't say what the fuck they got on their mind. Two of the does producers on the West Coast come from Compton, Doctor Dray and Quick True that if y'all can go do something, if y'all can go do an album week but either one of them, which one would you pick? I'm gonna go Quick, but I mean you might go on man, you know, Drake got the name and ship but everything, but like the
only thing with Dre, and I love Doctor Dre. Your ship might not come out, but that would be the first choice because you know that shit gonna be marketed and actually gonna be mixed top tier. And not to take anything away from DJ Quick, because Yo, she's gonna be mixed top tier and it's gonna be funky then a motherfucker. But Doctor Dre them type of plugs that he got a little bit different is gonna take you
to a whole nother level. But I want to fuck with both of them if I could, Like, you really don't want to pick, but you already know Dre and you already know he Quick. I just think man Quick should have put out I think he should have put out more artists, Dog. I think that's the thing. You think quite a few? Not really, how many do you supposed to put out? I'm talking about from the Oh okay, I'm talking about from the New ones K. That's his crew.
You feel what I'm saying. He was producing records fro him, but that's his crew, right. I think it's just so much talent and compton. Dog, I think that's the thing. That Drake got over quick, that he got the infrastructure behind him. I think it quick would have been done, that would have been consistent, like like he should have had this hand and game. He should have had his hand and kicked out. He should have been working with TV.
You know, I know Kennedy had his own thing going, you know, just the thing over two stills, Like everybody ain't good at running the label. Like I ain't the fucking best rapper, but I'm real good at this business ship. You know what I'm saying. I'm okay and rapping, I'm good at you know, I'm good at putting music together and all that shit. But at this business ship is a certain type of passion. He might have not had that passion to run a label. He have a passion
to be an artist. Or you might not have enough time because that shit busy, bro, if you're popping, you busy to the motherfucker. So do you got a time to deal with ten other personalities? It's about if he wanted,
he could have did it. Like I said, people got a got a young they got a Compton on me that was really hot, like and it's just telling penty of them out there right now yeah there right there, it's one's plenty plenty of niggas in content, right, but it might be it might be one person you worked with that like turn you off, Like, man, I'm an artist. Fuck this shit because like I used to like, like I told you, I came up through bad luck, and
bad luck got to Snoop. I thought it was his job to go fucking introduce me to Snoop because I had his back. It don't work like that. And he did introduce me to Snoop when they did their first video Western Union with the Money super Fly and Snoopers there like that, I met Snoop, you know, but he's a bad luck was an artist. He even went to Donal Lane and that's what he did. Like so like we can't get this in our mind, like oh, this is what a person is supposed to do. It's not. No,
he didn't say that's what he posted. He said that could have been held that could have held him back. And I think so too. Yeah, not even if you wanted the door or not. But I think that that is he didn't really tap in. He in somebody ever really asked him, did he he? But he always say that I don't get the crowd. I don't get the flowers I posted getting all this. You know, Yeah, like I said, you didn't do certain things that not the
dre the mother niggas. That's why you can't get them type of flower because you didn't do the same type of work. That's what I'm telling you. It's like because you know, of course you had a MG second and none, the honey Croft Dog high Sea, and you had that crew. That was his crew, right he was producing Mossburg. You know, I give that, but Mossburg that was lame way and I guess you could see his DJA but album you know he did, he did the whole album and you know he did you know how se made a lot
of this. He was a lot of connected to he didn't he connected you know what that might have been what it was though, Yeah, Masburg passed the way. He might have really did something that might have been because it was that was that was that was a hold that was really quick asing Holdsburg was just he knew he knew here with nobody say mass and like damn it's a president like oh niggas. That's what I'm saying.
He was about to be there dude, you know the thing he was too though, man, And this is what I will saying quitch defense because I just posed the question. I posed questions that people posted me outside, and I tell him what I think you know today, I'm just gonna hear what y'all thought. Right. My thing is this, dealing with a contention of personalities is a hard motherfucking job. Dog. You got some motherfucker's that's easy going, like eight, there's
a lady back nigga. He is like the best co host slash business partner to have because he understands business and he not asking about a whole bunch of excessive stuff. And you can't get in his ear because half the problems like I've had dealing with multiple personalities, it's the one negative nigga getting in everybody's ear, putting it in there that you're hiding money from them, that you're doing this. And before I get to the fourth or fifth person, man,
you're getting three hundred thousand dollars a month. Man, you don't bought a crib and motherfucking Atlanta, there's ten bear rooms. You got this, and that man of nigga flew in a jet out the here and it's like, man, you'll be wondering whether y'all get all this ship from I wish I did had a motherfucking paper, y'all. Nigga's talking about because I need it. I need it my life. Motherfucking the air. That's the thing. It may be dog. It may be the dog that he just got. He
didn't want to deal with them, that's I know. I know, like I said, I know, like even even with me like I said, I know, like I said, even listening and you know, gave me my flowers and all that shit. But you know, some people just don't want to He don't want to be in that environment. You feel me like, and I get that out of him, like you feel me like you don't, you know, fuck with me like I don't feel me. So you know, maybe you don't
want to be around. It's like because you know, like them, if I signed him, I know would come with it, like like at the Slim Pass I did an interview. I said, Man, I was like, nah, but some people can't control, like you might be boring yourself. If I would have said I don't want to fuck with no more artists from the streets, I might be boring myself from finding the next Kin Drick Card or the next whoever.
If I say that, somebody can't control your environment where you grow up at, where your mama can't afford to live, Nick can't afford that, So who who would I be to say I I can't fuck with you, bro, like you grew up over there. Now, Bro, I'm here to do music, So that's what I'm here to do. Like when you see me, like, don't even worry about where I'm from. If you're worried about where I'm from, we had already started off from I'm really here to like, dude,
it's supposed to be on business. Man. Like we've mentioned numerous times during this conversation, you have to keep business and the homie shit separate. They're two different things. Dog. Sometimes you may have to let a homie go everybody can't go shit. You might have to tell a homie man, you can't go on a road with ug because you think if you're not there serving the purpose, what is you there for you to hang out? That's another mouth
to feed my nigga. And you got some homies they don't want to do no work, dog, they want to come out in the road. They with you, you the artist. They're too busy trying to get them pictures. What you wouldn't do what you're doing. They want to be the artists and ship instead of you know, you got the homie that's the big nigger in the hood, that could be the security. But instead of him being security, he's somewhere getting off of the brons you get in the squabble.
He's somewhere with the messing with a bitch. Yeah, you know what I'm saying. It's like you've got a backwards dog. You know you you're supposed to be here. This nigga one thing, My dude, top dog man. It's the reason why TV's as successful as they heels. That dude didn't play no games, right. I heard him, because nigga's out. If you called Jay Rock early on without going through him about the show with something, he could take you. Nigga, don't be calling my motherfucking artists. He can give a
fuck who you was. He checked the ship out your ass, and I always respected that because you have to put forth that type of motherfucking shit and this ship, motherfucker's walk all over like. That's like with Slim I went through so much, and that would be the thing, like like, who this nigga think he is? Like, and I'm not trying to come wrong. It's just business, bro, I don't get a fuck about Hey bro, it's a protocol. And a fucking white man told me that. He said, hey bro,
slim is to start. Don't let nobody talk to him directly. You know what I'm saying, that's real ship. It was like, if you know what are you here for? Are are? Like? If they think they could talk to him, they're gonna try to manipulate them in and knock down your structure. That's how the bullshit come in, dog, when you start letting motherfuckers from ific Like because I'm gonna tell you, dog, but you don't want to. You don't want to tell
a person that who They can't be friends either. At the same time, since we all grown you, so you gotta know that people will come in and they don't
have no good intentions communication. It's key though if you they don't got no good infensations, but it's it's it's cool, like you know what I'm saying, Like I'm gonna leave it at that, Like, yeah, if you have o conversations with people though, man, and you're communicating, should nobody be able to infiltrate your circle, right, because it's always gonna be the nigga a man, watch him, he doing this and that, and this is the nigga that don't have nothing,
not a penny in his motherfucking pocket. But he advised another nigga. Dog. That's like a blind nigga walking another blind nigga across the four o'clock in the afternoon and the traffic. You know what I'm saying, they go both get killed. The thing he is, man, and then this is the thing, this is the reality of it all. Man, we have to start doing a better job. Is not just black men, but being men door. We need to come back to a time with men or men. I
no longer man. I refuse to deal with nigga shit. I refused to black people all day, dog with that nigga shit shit because all all helping motherfuckers has done for me was getting my name drug the motherfucker internet, Like it's the thing to do if to get a bunch of ungrateful last niggas wishing me the worst shit in the world and unnecessary stress. That's it. I haven't
benefited no other way from it. So I think we got to do a better job and can start being man and being more preciative of the people that we do have brown us. That's helping us because I ain't beat all this shit by myself. Shout out to my boy Brian over that Brian been broken with me since day won, regardless of who else was around a man. Shout out to the homy Cato, California. Shoutut the gim alone, Shout out to my family got shot. I'm saying them
to the cats, I love them. The people I'm concerned about. I'm concerned about all this other stuff. Dog is just distraction, bad energy and the thing like to what you're saying, Shout out to like the good people, like from day one. Keita t K had always been with Slam, you know what I mean. Whatever he had going, if he didn't have no money to give him, if he couldn't pay for their travel, they was coming to where he was at. So that's how you, like you can separate and know
who's who. Because some people got it feel like, oh why I gotta do it? You You're the artist. You should do it for all of us, you know what I'm saying. And maybe he don't want to say. He can't do it for everybody, you know, So like just shout out, like you said, shout out to the good people that that brings something good, that that brings some good energy, that that brain structure to the ship, you know what I mean, And make it better when when
they're around, not just making shit worse. Thing like you like, like God damn like his homies just crazy too, Like oh fuck exactly, man, mother, nobody want to motherfuckers. You don't want to see coming. Like I'm gonna tell you about the homie Kato. I met Kato maybe three or four years ago, right, you know, he was doing the show you know, smoke a lot radio right, real funny dude, man, talented cat man. This dude, Me and him always stayed
in touch. As I always told him. I said, Man, you know, cool dude, whatever you need, just hit me up. You know what I'm saying. All at me, you know, So we developed the friendship organically. Right when I tell you, Dog that this dude has brought me so much incredible shit just over the last few years. Dog, even up into this, even up until the day, Um, he's a good person. We honor the savages out there too much. Dog.
All the motherfuckers that don't say That's why I don't say none of my detractors names Dog because I'm not about to get them no motherfucking promotional books. I'm not about to do that because next thing, you know, oh man, you know such a sex was talking about you on the show. Now they want to go make another raggedy ass video. And just like me, I'm I'm still I
have to watch everything that's that's going on. Like so I'm watching whoever's talking about anything, so like when I see it, like i'd be I wouldn't be authentici to not tell you to not just to come in here, like I don't know what's going on, like you know what I'm saying, Like I'm like saying like like damn, you know, motherfucker's saying whatever they want to say. But I watch everybody podcast. I watch all the content from
the West Coast to the different East Coast people. I'm watching people in Kansas City because I'm trying to stay in them. Yeah, I'm trying to know what's going on in different markets because I'm traveling to these markets too. And I don't live in California. It ain't no secret. I work here, my mama stay here, and my family stay here. I live in a motherfucking different state. So I'm gonna stay glued to the internet to see what's going on like with within that content too. Then when
I get here, I touchdown, I saw you. I'm gonna you know, be within whatever I'm doing a handle my ship. We so fucked up as a people. First, we gotta start looking in the mirror at each other, like you know what I'm saying, We fucked up. Were all in competition with each other for me, like you get it. You get so many motherfuckers don't These podcasts that do interviews and shit and like, and they asked about do
you know somebody who do woo? You know another hot around your knit But they don't want to shout niggas out gonna be hating like UMA's purposely not say they're home many name because they don't want to give no shout like nigga ain't got no hard time and say hey, y'all gonna check out my little homi gu and o flame.
You know what I'm saying, Like nigga. I'm gonna shout out of you know what I'm saying, Niggas I get, don't here nigga purposely and just not say a nigga name like you know what I'm saying, Like, man, what is it all like? They're supposed to be nigga if you can help him, help money, and that's what I'll offer my genuine support without no financial strings attacks you know what I mean. And I've lived my life like
that for the longest dog. But as if late, I've been thinking I might not need to reevaluate my strategy though, because every for some reason, especially with niggas from the hood, they thinking for Nigga helping them. Oh, I'm working this, nigga. I'm taking advantage. Nigga. I'm not Boobo the motherfucking for you. I'm very conscious of mother moves. I'm making it what I'm doing. Don't never get it fucked up that I'm just suck up some whole ass niggas that you can
just handle any kind of way now. But I believe in giving brothers an opportunity until they prove otherwise, and when you prove otherwise. I'm a businessman just like I brought you in in something the situation. If it's time for it to be, if it needs to be remedied, and we need to part ways, let's do it. But let's do it amically. You don't always have to leave slamming them mother fucking door monigga. Man facts facts, even if we disagree, like I said, Yeah, we can agree
to disagree. Shit ain't gotta be no no hostility or no no animosity and letting towards each other. I mean, like I said, but we just saw in competition with each other in barbaric and just want to be that nigga instead of playing your part where you know what I'm say, If you just played your part, nigga, we all be right with you. Want to be the man. It ain't even what you do. You know what I'm saying.
You see him up here and you count his pockets and shit, and not even what I'm saying, Like, nigga, get in like I said, you got a job for me, bro. Nigga may put you on, but nigga you behind the scenes throwing shots and darts and niggas getting it getting back to a nigga and all type of shits. So what do you want to fuck? What they do is they make it to the possibility man to wear for
motherfucker did coming off for us some money? It would be no amount of money though that could make me work with somebody's nigga exactly in fact, because it was thirty forty million dollars. Like, man, you know what, I run the same shit. I'm on mine on the same shit. On my thing is if this nigga was acting the monkey. But this little change is going on. Now this nigga
go really be real. It's gonna be some real bullshit. Then, like I pass, man, I rather have my motherfucking sent it that shit for real, to have my motherfucking peace of mind. Man, because you're fucking around being a penitentiary fucking with these niggas. Man, niggas in competition. Niggas wanted niggas, niggas to go get Niggas want to go get the bigger chain becausey see his home. You gotta change. You want to go get a bigger one just to fluss on his homeie. Like I was saying, we had too
much competition. Man, it's fucked up. But like I said, you know what I'm saying, that listen, all that shit ain't crack out with it. Some of us really love of culture though. Yeah, some niggas this shit stand for what it mean, like what this West coast with California stand for. Like some of us really loved the cold. A lot of that ship went out the door, but some of us that's where we come from, the structure that cold, and it has never changed. So that's why
niggas gotta keep keep going with this ship. You know what I'm saying, It's a few, it's a handful that that that stick to the stick to the cold, you know what I'm sense, But nothing to fuck that. That's why we just gotta do what we gotta do. Yeah. True, Then that's that's where it becomes. Like that's like you asked you that question earlier, Like what's better now? I feel like it's it's easier to put your music out. It's the resources, how you can upload it and all
that shit. It's just really so saturated. And like how they were saying on TikTok, they can make a song go viral, they can slow that motherfucker down too, like the author rhythm they've been saying. They've been saying it like it didn't change. It ain't got a lot slower, like across the board with everything because they want to do it because they control this shit. That's what they want to feel like they control it. But the streets, we really control us, our culture, our music, we really
control it. We really got control of this shit. They don't. We really can prove the numbers, We really can get back to hard copies. We really can do all that. We don't gotta fuck with them. We don't. We can do it our way, directly from the consumer. You know what I'm saying. You can get it directly from me. You can go to muddollars dot com and get whatever from me, like we can do it just like that,
from merch to whatever. But at the same time, it's a lot of good companies that's popping up on the market. And you know, I ain't gonna shoot people down, but you know, just get with the like I said, as long as give me doing what you're doing. Like the many niggas, you know genuinely that nigga don't support you, and that's everybody like niggas. Niggas don't support nigga, got nigga hurt people that do you gotta appreciate it? No, you appreciate it for show, yea, I'm sure I appreciate
it for show. I know I got like we fu hundred contacts in my motherfucking phone, but when I drop a video, I got fucking three hundred views. Yeah, that's that's what I'm saying. Niggas that looked right past your ship, niggas and look right passion ship and they ain't no where. Like I said, Nigga got what thirteen thousand followers? Nigga and I got five hundred likes on the motherucker that mother's that be in your face and say, oh man,
I fuck with you money win the next show. But then I tell the next show you don't show up, I'll tell you what it is. Man. People don't understand all of these social media platforms are in business. They look at exactly the free accountany they own that motherfucking account. Don't get it twisted right, the hydro account and all
that shit. They're there for you. If you, let's say you have thirteen thousand followers, right when you make a post, you don't reach all those followers and all the powers exactly unless you're running the ad exactly. That's what I want you to Boh yeah, in thousand, teen thousand likes and all these comments they have as they run the ass, they ain't just that they missed the popularity. It's the
rules apply to everybody. I don't care if you got a million followers, dog, you would do that in They report my page so much that I run asks because I know if I spend money with these motherfuckers, they ain't gonna knock my page down because I can spend ten thousand last year on ads. All these people are in business and sale ads, even YouTube. I laugh when all the homies they first get their channel and they get a little rhythm and they start running it up.
It's cracking. Oh man, I got three hundred thousand views, I got a half a million, this and that right. I'm gonna tell you though, Dog, once they get you in and he was stablished, they do that because you're a new account. They helped them to discoverability, because they know if you start making a little money, you're gonna spend more time on that. Motherfuck You can do this. Once you get to a certain thing, that shit just slowed to a motherfucking crawl. Unless you're doing what you're
spending money on them ads. And that's the thing I tell people. People think YouTube is just a video community, I'll say, no, YouTube is a social media. There's a social media appis well because all the community features, you can really communicate and engage. Me. If you jump in the comments, almost definitely know what I'm saying. If you jump in the comments and engage with people, do like the live streams and all that. Like I've been watching, Like I study a lot, Like I watch a lot
of YouTube, Like I don't watch regular TV. No more YouTube is TV, man, that's your generation. Man. YouTube bills a TV right now, dough Yeah, most definitely is no dumb man. So what's next on the motherfucking agenda? Once? Shit, what's next to me? Man? Like I said, you know, just going back to just the culture and the ship. Like I said, I get I get fed up with the sho ain't gonna like I'm I'm one in, one foot out on me. But right now I'm for the past.
Storge to my daughter. Shit, I'm I'm damn They're done with this shit. I'll still do shows and ship, but for the most part, dog, my next thing is my daughter, my son doing music. You know what I'm saying, Bambizi, but Kiki Bambi's and keeping them. I'm going to put the energy into the inn. Feeling then is a brutal dog. Yeah, ain't this shit real shit? But you got to keep
up with the time. Like I said, she Ung, you know what I'm saying, young popularity, You feel me so like shit And it's so easy, like I said, so easy to go nigga viral on TikTok over one. Damn, it's so easy now, you know I'm saying, to social media, so shit, man, I go ahead and put my to a younger version of me. You feel me and do that. But for the most part, I still do shows, interviews, all that kind of ship. But I just don't got
the passion to be sitting writing music no more. Like even I feel you're the first artist I never heard you submit that you say, man, I'm talking about on the public form most motherfuckers saying. Now, I'm sick of this ship, dog, because it's about to fake shit to fake shita. I'm glad I don't have to fuck with that ship like that. I fuck with it when I choose to m That's why I say, y'all doppled back.
I'm gonna go and put my energy nerves so I ain't gotta deal with all I know, Like I didn't been in the game long enough to know what not to do with her. You feel me? So I didn't went through all the ship. I don't took the hits that she ain't gonna take down. So I'm gonna go ahead and yeah, so you be you're gonna look out for a key keep the show, she finished. I just um basically, like I said, we rebranded Ice Water, were just signed to two artists ship. When I leave here,
I'm going downtown to go pick up a piece. I'm signing two more artists and I'm gonna push this ship with no expectations, like that's the whole thing, just to make music, have fun with the ship, and uh, just discover and network with people nationwide and you know eventually worldwide. You know when I get this passport situation, no get that situated all the way waiting? Man, So where can
the people behind shit? Man? You can shoot. I'm on all platforms, like I said, you can Google, YouTube, whatever. Just keep the rue k E d A. Are you you know, I got a new song. I just dropped with a game fig big y. I got another single. I just dropped with sugar Free call feeling Myself. That's a banger. See, you got some records about you return. You got at like a hundred, Like I said, I still got some motion. But like you know, he got probably two hundred records in the fall. He one of
them topping that I got. I ain't never put out like I never. Y'all, y'all holler at him and his um yeah his I g and all like get on this nigger on motherfucking heels, but at Muther dollars, at Gmail, um mud dollars, the Z and yeah, I'm probably gonna do five more Big Clouds this year. I just we're doing the Big Clouds and some more of the tour. Right it's it's what I think I got like eight
tour days. It's the eleventh Big Clouds, right, Uh, the one that's it's abbout to be the eleventh eleven in the Texas south By Southwest, you know, just the south By Southwest. I had probably thirty artists on my stage and probably from eight or nine different states. You know what I'm saying, have you been up to Michigan yet. Oh? Yeah, I fought with Detroit hard Um shout out to Big Squad and you know Weather, you know, I got to
link you with my people. I need to get to the d so you go all across the country with this ship. Yeah, that's what that's that's the plan. I got some people in our Minnesota Europe. Huh thought about going over to Europe with that. Yeah, that's why I said, when I get my passport situation straight, I got a little situation, I gotta make shows a one that I can do that. Man, we gotta wrap mans. I got some plugs over in the United Kingdom, man over in Ireland. Yeah,
we're doing a big, big ice Water Comedy jam. You know that's gonna be like um um in conjunction with Slim Slim Foe hundred birthday celebrations. So you know what I'm saying. The Ice Water Comedy Jam June sixteen. Sie hundred birthday was June twenty first. It is June twenty first, but we're doing in June sixteen the Ice Water Comedy. Jorel and come out and do the remember the boys mind came out to do the video super Swim. Yeah, they got a cold tattoo a Slim too, like Slim.
Like That's why I say he Slim is a real icon. Man. It's probably like thirteen fourteen people with Slim foe hundred on him. It's people would hold up on him. Um. It's people with um motherfucking ice water logos on him. You know what I'm saying. Like this shit bigger than life, and it's not gonna stop no time soon. Man. I didn't no time to see him, man, because when you and Slim started, I gotta ask you one more questions.
I want to notice myself. So when you and Slim got together, y'all said, we will start our own ship and do this shit. How long ago was that? I don't know. It was a long time ago. Shit. Like I said, I was probably doing the management thing for him, like officially, like just say, I knew him for like thirteen years, but doing the management thing for probably nine of them years, then doing the label thing for like the last six years for Sholey, you know what I'm saying.
But it was faux Block first. It was faux Block. But everybody couldn't be from Fae Block because they're not from spruce strict. So we talked about that. He was always saying ice water on tour and if somebody was saying something and stood him saying, Okay, nigga, I'm cool. He was like ice water, ice water. So it came from that, and he was like, well, what we're gonna call a label? I was like, nigga, you always saying ice water. Let's call a label that he's like ice water.
I said ice water. Oh man, he was. He was a whole character. You know what I'm saying. He could have He could have been bigger than Chris Tucker for real. He could have been bigger than Chris Tucker for real with this ship. You know, you put that nick on the stage and nobody you're gonna make you laugh for show. He's gonna damn show make you laugh. How many parents? That's a sad thing. Man. Well, we want to thank y'all for tuning the end of the day. Man, go
