Welcome to another episode Against the Chronicles podcast. And I got my homeboys Jill and Man. We got a special guest to Night Man Live. Via satellite from the Bronx man representing the terrorist squad, we got Pistol Peteon House. Pete was cracking with you. Bro was good. Oh Man. One thing I'm gonna start out with, man, because I noticed this, and tell me my right a wrong? Is it to the visions of the terror squad? Man? You
got the Terrace squad with the rabbits and whatnot. Then you got the other Terrot squad that seemed like they was raising hell in the streets back in the day. Is that a Is that a good assessment? Uh? I mean I would say I would say it was just like part of the part of the squad, you know, part of the whole entourage ship. Yeah, I mean it was a whole bunch of people. I mean that was around, but it wasn't too many, like like official ts. No, it wasn't like like like that, you know what I'm saying.
It might have had this probably be like save me, I come through and I might have fifteen guys with me. You feel me, but it's just me. I'm just TS. You feel me, But I got a bunchet, you know what I'm saying. Guys with me. So it used to be like but it wasn't really like it's always madely been a rap, you know, it's it's always been about rapping stuff right there, you know for sure. So so the affiliation type of that, You know how people affiliate
with ship with stuff, certain stuff you from TS. But you show up with twenty year the Homeboys, they're gonna be automatically figured out as TS members too. And then if they on the street ship, stay on the street ship. It follows over that. So people associated to where Okay, they got the Wrap, they got the Wrap division of TS and then Theses the brock the brawling street niggers from TS. So but that's that association, you feel me? Yeah? Yeah,
Oh Dave Man, how did the Tears Squad start? Well, you know that Ship started the projects with Joe and all that, a bunch of other brothers and Ship from the project is from where he's from, and uh Forest and all that, you know what I'm saying. So it was already into making and all that. I wasn't prison and all that when all this ship was going. Damn, you know what I'm saying. And uh, I came home to the mixing all that ship with pun and all that.
But um um, you know, uh, the ship was like you know, it was already situated, like they already had that going on. I'm I just I'm just t S. Because Joe's my brother, know all that, you feel me, so you know what I mean. It wasn't like it wasn't like I went and bought myself a TS channel. It was like, you know, I'm let me call, let
me put me make myself part of TS. If I got a t S because I was given to me, if I got to read the best changes, because motherfucker's game was like yo here man, yo pistol, y'all here, this is you right here. You know what I'm saying like that? And I always started basically, you know, I started the ho killo rats y'all thing. That's what that's what that that's that's that's that used to be the mainly the the the people that used to be around.
You might have a whole bunch of TS ripers and singers and all that, and there will be me that's just TS. But I'm also k y'all kill old rats. And I had thirty million k all guys with me. Yeah, That's what I was gonna ask you about man, because you got a moniker. Man, that's I really want to talk to you about. Man as the king of Rikers. Man, can you tell me about that man? Because I heard
she was putting in some in there. You know, I don't know if we could talk about it now, but I heard that she was very well known for getting down for your crown. I mean, you know, I mean, what can I tell you? Man? At an early age and ship like that, Man, I was on Riker's Island, you know, I mean, I was one of the first predicts on Rikers Island. You know, I mean, I cut a lot of people. I've been through a lot of ship on the island. You know, they called me king
on Rikers Island and all that. There isn't write old kind of points and O kind of ship and add my name to the ship and all that. But you know what I mean, that's all whatever I did on the island and all I never thought they drag on this this far. It'll take me this long, you know what I'm saying, Like it will bring so much history. Yeah,
you know what I'm saying. But this, you know, it was all at that point, you know, I was just young and regulating you know, so I regulated crazy, you know what I'm saying, Like, I don't think I've ever seen nobody regulate the way I used to regulate when I was on the island and all that, you know what I'm saying. So I was pretty strong, you know what I'm saying. Whether they CEOs, you know what I'm saying.
Forget about the amazing the people that convicts that said with me and all that, we we're good, but everybody used a lot of that come from doing a lot of time. You get your respect, and then you know those that go in and come out you still there. You you know one fucker's respect that you know what I'm saying. So you must have did a lot of time up in their mother. Yeah. I was in there with a lot of I was there with Larry Davis. I was there with I was there. We was locked
up together Larry Davis. I used to be for every Davis a lot and all that leterous and pieces and all that um because he thought I was from Brooklyn and all that he started. He used to be used to fight over the phone and all that he was on one E and HDM. I was with UH with UH with the Queen's Marvel Supreme Team. You don't saying he was all in one eight and I was down because I was a predicate, so I had to be and I was locked down all day. So um and uh, I used to be for Larry Davis and ship about
the fucking about the phone. He used to take the phone to see or used to give him the phone. It was only one phone for the whole block, you know, saying, so Larry Davis had him make it shook like. I used to be like, yo, get that photo, like what the fund you doing? And Larry Day used to be poplished it be like, yo, you're for Brooklyn. This guy ain't from the motherfucker brother from the Bronx man. What's good? I remember those days like that man with Larry Day.
Let the rest in peace and all that though, because I've seen every day was after that up top and all that he became Muslim and all that, you know, and uh, you know, he was a different He was a different guy. Different guy. I never heard nobody saying here before a knife opposed to a gun. I'm a gun man, and I wouldn't I wouldn't take that nowhere with me. But you said you the best with with what you do. I like that. You know, you gotta
take credit. You gotta take credit for what you're good at her James, Yeah, man, I would tell you something, man like I pulled off some ship. Man Like, motherfucker, be like damn this motherfucker here, Man Like, how the fund he pull this ship off? Like you know what I'm saying, Like, that's just one of my things, you know, I mean you already know survival. Man Like I come from nothing, Man, I come from the slums. I'm from the Bronx um Cypress one for the first Street. You
know what I'm saying, South Bronx. You know what I'm saying. Uh, I ain't really never had a little you know my dad there. You know what I'm saying. It's basically my mom's two other siblings, you know what I'm saying. So my ship was like you know, I was out there hustling from the whole fan. But at a young age, I hustling. You know, back in the days you hustle for your best friend's moms. See the collector. You know
what I'm saying. Well, you know it's it's a lot of kids out here today that you know they want to go to prison and when they get there, and you know, I listened to one of your interviews, and you know, kids don't know how to get that CASEU from one place, meaning of life from one place to the next, you know, getting transferred. You know, my fuckers don't know how to take that support with him, you know what I'm saying. And and you pretty much summed
it up for a lot of people. You know, you had to do what you had to do to get that blade where you had to get it, you know, and these kids, these cats out here don't understand that, you know what I'm saying. And you know you you definitely uh uh what's the good word for one of those guys that know what to do when you do and how to do it, you know what I'm saying. And you know they need to understand that. So when you was in when you was walking a yard, did
you teach these cats child and program? Yeah? I told a lot of brothers man to be honest with you, like I got like my my con rats. That's that's up upen the show with me boxing Dice. Uh. He did twenty six years for a crime he didn't commit. You know, what I'm saying first, and Phoemos, let me put that out there. So he did twenty six years and he's home now and all that. So I'm doing the whole podcast with him now too. You know what I'm saying. So it's called it. It's called y'all talk.
You know what I'm saying. So we already vibe it like Monday's, Wednesday and Fridays on Instagram. I'm starting them warm up and what I'm saying, everybody loving the fact that I'm on I'm on Live and all that. You know, I got lot of people that love me and support me, so that's great, so I put them on. You know, really know, we know we're gonna put our people's on. So he came home, but I told him how to put the raising his mouth right, you know what I'm saying,
ship like that, you know what I'm saying. Where and then you know he was he was in jail. It was on the island with me, know what what I'm saying. So he was on the olive fight in his gate case and all that. I was like, Loo, listen, man, you're gonna have at It's gonna be a long rod. So let me just teach you a couple little things and all that, you know what I mean, and order for you you gotta you gotta no ship while you weren't here to protect yourself. You give me facts, you
know what I'm saying. So I was I was always you know, like I mean, you know, I always been focused like that. Man, I'm not saying that I never got cut and I never I ain't gonna say I never got stabbed and she's like that old shot because all that should happened to me. But but you know what I mean, like that that comes with you given you can't just give or not. You never expect not to get back, you know what I'm saying. So you gotta you know, sometimes you gotta get hit too. So
I've been and it's funny. So it's really crazy because, uh, well I the first time I ever got you know that, I got banged out and I shut down the whole motherfucker the whole house and jail, oh there, and what the fund to do? You know what I'm saying. Uh on the island, Uh, it was a bunch of motherfucker's Spanish motherfucker's and ship, you know what I'm saying, you know. It was crazy because you know, I started waiting your motherfucker's up. I was up there, you know what I'm saying.
I was you know, I had a I was downstairs, you know, back in the days. They are for those that have been on the island, you know, they are like they do switches. You know what I'm saying, like saying you you you upstairs in two way whatever, and I'm downstairs. So I want to go up there, fun with you, you you know what I'm saying, because you from the hood or whatever. So they do switches and ship
like that. Somebody get pound out, switch up, you know, running they guy out, y'all, and you run somebody out. You'll do the switch, y'all. I gotta go up there and whatever work it out. So it happened to be. So I had a whole bunch of brothers and that from my hood, you know what I'm saying. So and they're all go on the top of all the little litle older little a little bit older than me, and ship like that. And uh uh, she was crazy. Though. They moved me up. They moved me up top. I
funked up their whole vibe. I started waking up all the Spanish dudes, Yo, you run the phone off tid of my man's in the chocolate. My man shocking up a bunch of brother from the hood. I was, you know, man, we I was braised with a bunch of brothers, so from the hood. So I'm like, yo, I'm like, you know, it doesn't matter, man, I want to get on that
Spanish phone. They're like your pistol, we got the whole black phone is good, Like you got three hours on that, Like I know you like the jones out this that. I'm like, listen, be I need to get on that spani I started waking dudes up. Man, I come on, I started a whole big fucking ship, all the biggest forms out of no where. You already know there was ex Crackheadthropeen. You know, motherfucker's cume. Motherfucker's go to jail all walks, all walks of motherfucking life for real, motherfucker's
come to jail cracked out. They'd be in jail for a couple of months. They caught diesel, you know what I'm saying, with the razors on them and all that. With that, now they pulled out some ship like this I was like, all I had was a razor, so you know what, you know, we got to popping, you know what I'm saying. But at the end of the day we had to move out. They was popping off. It was a whole house and like that. It was
like five of us, you know what I'm saying. But you know, ship like that, you know you get hit, you know you hit, you know you you set up too. I got set up by the police, you know what I'm saying, CEOs. But you know they got you know, uh, they got PECET right. I know what that is, right protected custody right, PC. Right, So they got motherfucking PC. So, motherfucker so they so they ain't had no room when
they took me. When they when I get excorted to go to court, I'm shocking the funk up with mint is an old kind of dumb ship, you know what I'm saying. So they put me the motherfucker's sale on PC with when the kid I was there, so everybody ready gassed them up. You know, a pistol get in that sale. You're good. You cut that, you know all that, You're good. You could kind of population and all that. You know what I'm saying, dude trying to cut me and all that. You know, you can see it. You
can't really see it through the to the thing. But he called, you know, he caught me a little bit and try to do it stuff. You know, I mean, almost caught a body up in the fu up, you know what I'm saying. So I stormed, throwing on his motherfucker head and old condo ship, you know what i mean. So and I was it, But you know what i mean,
It's just part of the whole vibe. You know, when you when you're given, when you're giving it, you know, sometimes you know, motherfucker's gonna be like yo, You're always gonna get tried, you know, especially if it was a young brother. You know what I'm saying. I don't really know too much, you know, because I found myself in situation since I've been home. You know what I'm saying, where I was fighting for my I was fighting for my life for like three years. You know what I'm
saying without nobody knowing. You know what I'm saying. The only thing is ever really knew was like you know, fan base, you know what I'm saying, Fat Joe that got me out on bail. You know what I'm saying. Ship like that, you know, lawyers and all that, family and all that. But I was suiting up, you know what I'm saying. Like I was already. I was in Manhattan like this, Dan, you know what I mean. I'm like, oh, shipping here I am. I'm in the club, you know,
dripped out, living great. You know what I mean. You got a bunch of young brothers and ship like that. They pop off, they start off and all that, and I'm you know, they don't really know who. You know. It's dangerous now, man, it's crazy. So you catch your case. I call the case. I call like four tep murders because I banged everybody out, everybody anybody. Ship was crazy, you know what I'm saying. And I was in the car. I was bound listen, I was. I was with a
bunch of guys. We left out the club like you let's leave, bro, Let's get out of here, man, you know what I'm saying. And we were leaving, motherfucker's outside banging on the door on the car, ball kicking it boom. I'm like, yo, it's like it's like something of us in here, Like why are we jumping? Why anybody running away? Like we need to get out these nicks kicking the car and all that. Like I've been like my man parked the car, man Nike a full dover, But I
got out that car, yo. But they know so after that, you know what I'm saying to you is that it's easy like that, you know with these a lot of these young brothers man, because they'd be moving different and then they start the whole vibe and that's next to you know, I was going to call for three years because all of all they picked me out to line up and all that it was going in. It was kind of like a motherfucker, you know what I'm saying.
So ship is crazy, like I got I got off that, you know, they God, you know what many things are going florio. You know what I'm saying, My lawyer, Let let me ask you a question, Pete. You know you was running with one of the most um hard body dudes out there, you know, the Supreme Team everything man and um and thank god everything is peace right out on man. But how volatile man did that situation get with fifty cent at the time? I mean, you know
that she could have been ugly and all that. You know, uh, I bumped into a lot of people that was down with them and all that. It was a lot of things changed, man, a lot of stunt, a lot of front, a lot of running around all that. But you know, up, I never really actually ran into fifty cents. And when we did ran into each other, it was all up. You know what I'm saying. It was like it was all up and he was with forty guys and I ain't gonna lie, was just me and one other doubt,
you know what I'm saying. And I keep saying the same story or it was just like one of those things. But like I told you, I stayed focused. So it's like I got him. I don't know how many he gonna hold down, but I'm I know I'm gonna hold down like ten so and um. But it was all love. Fifty came you know what I'm saying. Came up was up.
I was having a hard time. They wanted to let me inside the building one of these fucking a walls and ship like that BT walls or and you know I always have like little issues and ship like that. Sometime you know they'd be there'd be a little extra when I pull up. You know what I'm saying, they'd be old, they'd be stuck and ship like that and oh hold up, but we gotta whatever. So I was having one of those and fifty pulled up, shut your
respect pistol or something and love. He said, yeah, what's up? I said, now I'm having a top. So he was like, yo, we ain't going there until he go in. He with us and it was like, all cool. And I went in with fifty and nothing. It was all that and that's big. And you know, going back to what James said earlier, Man, I think through music and everything, and you know the visuals, these kids see that prison life, right, and so that's they go from the time they hit
the streets. Man, they see the big homies coming home from prison and here you know the legs, you know, the hood legends and stuff like that. Man, what do you say to these kids today, man, that want to live that life that thin't quite ready for me. That's why we got that dog in the yard, you know what I'm saying, so they can see what it is. You know what I'm saying, Well, brothers, funk would I
tell them? You know what I'm saying, I can tell her, I can tell her you a million stories right now we talk about I'm sure, I'm I'm giving everybody else that platform. So brothers can go up there and break down their situation and they struggles and all that. You know what I'm saying, when they went to jail and all that. You know what I'm saying, So the kids could see that that's not for us and all that. Yeah, you can pick up some ship from it, you know
what I'm saying. Of course, you know what i mean. But at the end of the day, that's for the youth. Man. You know what I'm saying. I'm trying to get back for the youth is to be like yo oh ship like oh, this is what they're doing now. You know what I'm saying, We're gonna go further with it. You know what I'm saying, were just warming up. I'm cruising, you know what I'm saying, Like my classes to help a lot of brothers. You know what I'm saying is,
you know, I mean my my, my, my, my. The ideal hold of the dog in the yards to really like reach all the sisters and brothers that's out there fucking up. Man, I think that is sweet and all that. You know, they're shooting around and ship like daddy killing little kids and all that ship. All we're doing is killing ourself and all that. You feel me, So we gotta show these people back, like these kids like if you could pick up one or two, you know what
I mean. You can see that, you know, because I already had that kind of converse with brothers calling me we t out on my d m Yo. My daughter was fucked up when she's seen that episode of you know, she was like, Wow, I better tighten up, like you know, because it's real. Sometimes we just be doing ship on on, you know, your younger ship. You don't really think you'd be out there. You'd be like, let's get it. You
know what I'm saying. Monsters are fascinated. They fascinated with with the with the with the picture of what the setup is, of what they think the recognition is gonna get them if I go to prison or if I do something, because you know, a lot of niggas feel like that gives them that that that gives them that that stripe you get me, You get that stripe if you go to the pin and you come back home you represent for whatever, But that's not the way to go for the youth. But then we gotta learn like
ship in some situations, it ain't just youth. It's old ass, motherfuckering niggas who still you know, stuck in and ship and we can't get along as a people. So I think we gotta learn how to how to how to mend that ship first, because I just came from a situation where you know, I'm at a situation. I'm at a I'm not a total different element, and I find myself getting into it with a grown ass man over some bullshit. You get me, and I think you know
what all what's going on right now? And even though we gotta be able to control the youth, we got to be able to set an example as the grown jees or whatever to show motherfucker's this ain't the pathway. You get me? Well, well, what you gotta do first? And I've heard you say this on the interview. I saw you do respect, uh, loyalty, honor. You don't have that no more. A lot of a lot of these young cats don't possess it, they don't understand it, never
knew what it meant. And you have to bring that back to move forward. And just how I heard you say with the guy that you was interviewing, that was interviewing you. I fought with you. My loyalty is to you, you know what I'm saying. And ain't too many people think like that today, you know what I'm saying, Ain't too many people feeling that way. I feel that way because my loyalty is to eight eight getting down to day I'm getting down of the day. If nor I'm
getting down, I'm getting down. I don't have a choice. That's my loyalty. That that's where I'm at. And that was one big thing that I I listened to you, and I think that's where you're gonna catch the kids in we all of us, we gotta we gotta teach them that loyalty. And that's what it got to. Man got to sometimes you know, I'm not gonna say that loyalty sometimes you some Sometimes your loyalty you get fried up by fault, you know what I'm saying. For being
so loyal. Sometimes your loyalty, you know, don't get you with where where where you probably deserve to be or something like that. You feel me so, But the way I look at it is. You know what I'm saying. I don't. I don't, I don't. As long as I'm I'm gonna always be me. You know what I'm saying. I'm always matter how my mothers and principles where they need to be at. You know what I'm saying. So I will never switch up, no matter how much you switch up or how you know what I'm saying, or
how far we could go. And you know, and you just you all the way over there and I'm here. I'm cool where I'm at. You know what I'm saying, because at the end of the day, I could walk the streets and show like that and get saluted and get appreciated feel me and you probably can't. Yeah, you feel me. So that's just the way it goes. You know what I'm saying. Like I'm I'm I'm for the people's You know what I'm saying with you, for the people.
You know what I'm saying. You You will never lose, you know what I'm saying, Because I'm I'm I'm for the people. Boos. I want. What I do is is for the youth, is for everybody. You know what I'm saying. We're gonna I'm gonna start talking about you know, mental health and all kinds of ship on my show. What I'm saying, you know what I mean, because a lot of us come home and ship like that. We fucked up,
you know what I'm saying. We don't have no family, nobody, you know what I'm saying, Nobody to talk to, nobody to reach out to. You know what I'm saying. And you're home, you've been you've been in jail thirty years, twenty five years, like it's a whole new vibe and all that you feel me, So you know, we gotta start, you know, helping these brothers and ship like that, man reaching out and all that. You know, a lot of these rather be fucked up. Man, it's just not cool.
And a lot of us come home and you might and we might have a conversation and it seemed like we're all right, but we fucked up too. We might have anxiety, We have all kinds of other ship going on, you know what I'm saying, from being locked up and all the ship that a motherfucker's been throughing them. So these other things that you know, we need to start to address too, you know, because us as as us as meant you know, I mean us, especially us man
from the hood and all that. You know what I'm saying. We we we created, you know, to hide our emotions and ship like that in front and show like that, you know what I'm saying, because you don't want the next man to think of you in any kind of way or look at you in a whole different perspective and all that. You know that, especially now, motherfucker's a catch a body just for the hell of it, just
for the stunt, you know what I'm saying. Then go to jail and tell them everybody you know what I'm saying, and get a hundred years and funck his whole life of us. You know what, Hey, let's pay some bills real quick and we can get right back to y'all with games man still, yeah, exactly, man. And the thing is right now, especially the time we in and James
talks about this a lot. Man. You know, we had those cats the storm the Capitol Building and um, and they said, man, they found dudes out that they had weapons and everything. Man, these supremacists not playing that, They're not playing at all. And the more we stay out here stuck when this dumb ship fighting and killing each other man the more put us at risk and just getting took off because they're not playing. Yeah, but that's what I'll say. Still a lot of the situation, Like
I say, still it's hopeless. I mean because they're getting ready and we're still out here working with each other. Like I said, I just like the other night, while while I was telling you what the situation, like, a motherfucker just decide like he wanted to just start niggering me and cussing me out while we had a fucking kids football game. You get me. I don't know if it was maybe a nigga didn't like me from the
past or whatever. But when I think about ship like that and how motherfucker's is storming the Capitol Building and then we got the Black Lives Matter and we're supposed to be trying to come together, and then I'm sitting out here getting into it with a nigga on the football field because I'm cheering my fucking kid on and he from the opposing team and he just don't like
the fact that I'm cheering my son on. So we've been get into a drag out fistfight because a simple ship and and it all started because I'm trying to talk to the nigga and say, hey, man, do we have a problem because I don't understand what's going on. As soon as that happened, it listen, my kid go to Sada and that ships something like that happened to me too. My son was out a little bit. I felt like he ain't playing him too much. I went to the coach. I was like, my man, like, who's uping? Now?
You I broke? Are you good? You better? You ain't playing my son like happen? You know what I'm saying now? That ship almost turned crazy they they got rid of. Wasn't all that we had to go side to a
whole different lead exactly. But the point of the matter is is like we can't get along as a people from all the ship we're getting and why they and like you say, they they they they they stacking up, James, They're getting weapons, they're loading up, and we're still out here calling each other niggers and trying to punk each
other from bullshit. We don't. I mean, listen, man, you know, situation like that, Man, sometimes you just gotta you know, for your kids and all that you don't want to live out you know, sometimes not if a guy's coming to you, spitting at you and all that and you know, being crazy, you know, passive aggressive, then you already know
you gotta go. Was there with a hunt. But other than that, you know, sometimes you'd be like, man, you know what, good bro like, you know what I mean, Like, I'm not gonna do that, you know what I'm saying, because you will never know where that ship could lead. All right, let's take a quick commercial break and we'll be back. So brothers out there, Just like I've told you, a lot of brothers ain't happy out there with themselves.
And that's the that'd be the main point. I think a lot of motherfuckers ain't satisfied or happy with the place they are in or when they look up, they look up twenty thirty years later and I'm still stuck in the same ship. Go there you go. So you gotta you gotta always, you know, always think man, Always be the bigger person, no matter what. Just like if you not if your life is being threatened, and oh he's mushing you a son, and that's a different vibe.
But other than that, if he just talking ship and all that telling you, uh, man, just keep it cool. Your kid is there. The best thing you did was just walk off and all that make it to another day. You know what I'm saying, Snake five minutes. Damn, that's it, man, that's it. You might punt, you might you might punt. You would have punched him in the face and he got hard. Problem Now he died. Then what how many side the games you're gonna miss? Man, It's it's just
that easy. But you know what he's saying is, you know you never knew when you step outside, but you gotta be ready for whatever when you step outside. You know when you get up, you might run into that motherfucking you know what I'm saying that, And you gotta exercise. Man, Listen, man, I always practice exercise, you know what I'm saying, Like I'm no matter what I did in prison, I exercise every chance. Well I'm in the box for three years exercises.
You know what I'm saying, Like funk that I'm getting it on with the cops and all kind of ships. You gotta be fit, you know what I'm saying. I'm getting it all outside. What I'm saying with the you know whoever I got some issues with and all that. I mean, you gotta you gotta be able to be right. You know what I'm saying. You can't just be You can't just have that thing in your hand and all that. You might have a big old big dude, you know what I'm saying, grab you up and just shake you
up a little bit. You gotta be ready for that. So I always practiced physically, you know what I'm saying. You've always gotta stay right, man. A couple of push ups a day of signing. When you get up and all that. When you bust another or whatever, do some pushups or something bad like you know, but doom. You know what I'm saying, do some push ups and all that funk that when you buy yourself well out a little bit, you know what I'm saying, Trust me, that
should come a long way. Yeah, man, checked, I got a question for you. What you're coming from the environment that you came from, e jumping straight up into the music industry kind of like how you the exchange? Was it weird to you at first? What was that like? Um?
You coming from the environment that you come from, you know, being cool with facts you're on all you jumped head on into the music industry when you get out right, honestly, you know what um When I first came home and ship, man, like, my mind wasn't on I wish I wish my mind was on music. Oh like off the grid a long time ago, because that if if that would have been you know, if that would have been it, then you alouldn't know, ship would have been different, you feel me.
But my mom was I was. I was in the street, man, you know, I went to the fans and all that ship. I was playing around, I was, I was jumping. I came home. I man, I was going on the road with punt of them, just jumping on the plane and get up with them for a day or two and then't bounce back and do what I do. I went to prison for extore ex Store and half of the Bronx, you know what I'm saying, the whole South Bronx and all that, like, come on, you know what I'm saying.
I was out there doing other ship so you know, at the stage, so I was playing around with that. I ain't had no music ship on my mind. When I now, uh my back, uh you know that the rest in piece of ship, you know, one of my artists and ship like that. He was one of my guys, cousin and ship like that. When I came home, they didn't want me in the halfway house in the Bronx, and they took me. I had to go to Brooklyn
to uh to a murder at what I'm saying. So I went to Brooklyn and all that, and you know Brooklyn, you know my guys from Brooklyn and all that. You know, people started coming and see me and all that, and uh, one of my guy, one of my dudes, um, cousin and ship like that. He's a rapper, but he was a street guy, Mike Beck rest in pieces ship like that. Um, and he was like your pistol, You're strongest fucked man. You know, we all here representing Kill Old Rats and
all that. You know what I'm saying. You are here, you know, but like you know, I wrapped you know what I'm saying, Like it's just's you know me, like I'm out signed to you and all that. I was like and I just what I did. I just I came and I opened up Kill Old Rats Entertainment. I signed them to COT Records. You know what I'm saying, um. And instead of me doing the Kalid what what Kalid did, we was all signed to the same label. The difference
was that what I did was um um. Instead of me going and making records with all the orders that I knew and making songs and putting them together and all that shouldn't make an album, right A pistol peak, kill a Rat album, I decided to to get to sign four local guys from different burrows and all that and put the hood on, you know what I'm saying. Like.
I went out and I looked and motherfucker's hit me up your pistol Joe, this guy here from and I converted and I and I put them all together and I made Kick Kill Kill a Rat Mafia, you know what I'm saying, Kill a rad Mafia. So that was the that was the vibe when they was together, but there was solo artists all of them. I slapped four dudes and then make Killer. That album I meane to kill. A red album came out on cost rackets on you know what I'm saying. Um. The name of the albums
Joe Crack Pistol Pete. We should present Fat Joe Pistol pet Presents Kill Old Rats, you know what I'm saying. And I had every motherfucker if anybody on that motherfucker on album, a bunch of features on it. You know, we go, I mean, like everybody on it. You know. It was all love. But what I did I put I gave these brothers an opportunity, you know what I'm saying. They was out there hustling and doing anything and all that,
but it was also a great artist. So I put them on and I put them all together and all that ship and I made an album and ship like that, and at least they be able to see, you know, tell their kids and all like Yo, listen, man, I have an album that came out and all that one time, you know exactly. And I know one of the things is it's hard to leave the streets. Man, It's hard to do both. It's almost impossible, you know what I'm saying.
So is there something to struggle you was having? We're trying to live both, like trying to live both sides of the street. Yeah, I just I didn't even think about the music. I ain't gonn a lot of you. I wasn't even thinking about that at the punt time I Pump Pump Days. I wasn't thinking about the music at all. I was just I was. I was, man, I was exploring drug dealers. Man, you already know I was focused. I was. I was getting that chicken man, like it was great. I already had. Yeah. I went
to jail. I was like, fast, kidd to get me, and all I was like, what the funk am I? I couldn't understand what I was going to jail four. I ain't gonna loe of you guys. I was like, why am I going to jail? Like I'm mixtoring a bunch of nigga. About that? I told myself. I told myself, man, I would never ever ever go back up top. I said, I ain't never going up north because I'm a type of brother that I go up north doing. It could be a violation. I turned that ship into ten years.
You know what I'm saying, as hard as fun for me to come home. Man. You know what I'm saying when I'm in prison, man, So I'm like, funck No, I ain't never going up top. So I'm thinking, you know, here I am. We're getting that. We're getting that, We're getting that chicken in the hood and all that. I mean, how could I ever think that I'm gonna go back to prison. I mean, I mean my mind. I'm like, I'm good. I mean like I'm working with them. I'm working with the niggas that they don't like, so I
should be good. These niggas getting money, they're getting bread. I'm coming over, they collecting tent and then I had the team. I had the team, everybody collecting. I put anybody on man like I'm to with you, ma'am from the people's We gotta eat you see niggers around me and all that we're eating. Bro, we ain't gonna have no nigger with two dollars that we gotta job the more at the end of the day. And all that at his house and all that by his baby moms
or any I'm not doing none of that. Like you're around me and all that. You gotta get us. You gotta get it to do something. We gonna get you some bread, you know what I'm saying. If that's what we do, we try to, you know, we try to lift these brothers up and all that. Now I do that. See I used to do that back then and put them on and have them collect the rent. Now I switched it up. Now I got a whole team, my
whole team. My engineer could be my son. Man three years old, Marth engineer thirty years old, could be my son, My, my, my all, my, my camera. Guys, everybody that travels with me is my same crew. They all. I put all these you went to school for that, Let me try, Let's get it. Let's go, Let's get you that bread. Let's go. And I keep the same team. You already know, loyal team, man. You know what I'm saying. You're know I practice that ship. Man. Put your people's on. You
know what I'm saying, Loyalty above everything, man. So I put all all my look my little tea, it's the same motherfucker's I've been with. My producer, that's right here. You know what I'm saying. We got this is my studio. You know what I'm saying. This is what we do. You know what I mean, Like we focused and we bullshit together, We we ground together, the same crew. You know I'm saying. I'm not saying that I never had a funked up cru You know what I'm saying, because
I had when I came home. Sometimes like you, like I said, when you lower you, when you and you take you. Sometimes you you you before, you be fucked up you before. By being loyal, you be all the time you fry. But being loyal to anybody pointing at this, you know what I'm saying. So sometimes your family is the first one that sucks you, first one that robs you, first one that be disrespectful. You know. I take them to a jerry shop. I'm not around. They take something
from the jury shop. I go to a car dealer, uh and get caught and get a whip, get two whips. They love me that your pistol, you know. Oh the love anyway I go, it's all love, you know what I'm saying. And you know when I leave these nigg is still the computers, you know, Like come on, bro, like come on, like, that's not what we do. You feel me. So I'm not saying that I never had a bumpy rolls, you know what I'm saying. But motherfucker's
play the soup. You know what I'm saying. He put the mother in the place, and you try to guid these guys. But the family, sometimes it's the first people that violate you every way exactly. Man. You know I don't heard you mentioned Big pun a couple of times. Man, one of the coldest lyricists ever, Grace the microphone. Man, what did you think about when you first heard him? Man, when you first met him was what was on your
mind was just a good motherfucker. He was funny and ship you know he was dangerous as a motherfucker if he wasn't that fact. He fucking he's crazy. Man. I saw him. I saw him like he got down down. Yeah, he liked Yo, Yo, you'd be so it'd be so crazy because I be like, Yo, this guy is like really, wow, bro, do you really want to be a rapper? Because Ship Nah, Paul was a funny. He was funny as fuck. You
know what I'm saying. We used to uh, we used to uh you know, we used to bug out in the hotels and ship like that are on land that we used to come out and you know when he used to be out here, you know, doing tolls and doing shows. I used to catch up with him and all that. Go to the hotel, you know here trying to step on me and sit on me when I'm laying down. I could be sleeping the mouth up, thinks open the door, creeping, trying to squaschru to squash me.
And know he was just you know, it was all funny. It was all love man. You know, I got a funny story when he died. Though. I was supposed to speak to him like two days before and I never got a chance to speak to him. I had called it. It was like YO called back peak, like tell him in him back and then mom, because that all I want to do was just get on the on the phone with him and be like, Yo, you need to go back to that farm and fraud to lose some weight,
you know, and hit him with the health ship. You know, I'm in prison already, know I'm in prison. All kind of ship I'm walking around with three fifteen, you know what I'm saying, walking from the baseball field, the whole base field field, doing squats on on every motherfucking on a by bait on avery fucking basis, bringing that three fifteen back phone, dropping that ship down. Here goes tense stacks. Everybody's batting, and I was just you know what I mean.
So I'm like, Yo, I want to tell her Yo, to get this ship right. Yeah, I got a funny story for you, though, Man. How you say he had squabbles on you remember they had that seminar on palm springs that used to be every year. So I see Pum for the first time in person, and you know those um diallies that they use lift boxes up and
ship right right? Yeah, I see him come out of there. Man, I see this, you know, fat Puerto Rican dude man on the dolly got a microphone like this, come up bust and you know you're killing it right, And I'm like, damn, you know, like this motherfucker's ill um. I ain't gonna name the rappers, but I saw some rappers get out a line with him, kind of saying some ship. And I saw somebody get punks in the mouth. I ain't gonna see what he is thought, man, because you know,
I don't want to start up those stuff. It's it's funny, though, man. He got punks in the mouth though, nigs getting their feelings because you know, these motherfucker's egos and the feelings crying about some ship that happened thirty years ago. Yeah. But when I tell you, but when I tell you that he sucked this dude with precision like a boxer. He hit him with a stiff jackman of dudes hit next step back. If you would have kept on going, the best thing they did was continue on like they
did man, because he fun do it up. Listen, bad was the greatest man. You know what I'm saying. It's good. It's good to see his son to stepping in picking up the microphone too. That's some real good ship. I've been peeping the mouth. Yeah, he got he got it from from the flow, from the from the attitude, you know, the eginary ship. You know. It's it's good to see that he continued in pops footsteps, not go any other route, but just to be able to pick up the mic
and represent Pops. That's some good ship. Ye man, we got dog in the yard right. How did you? How did you think of that? Man? How did that all come to be? Did you had that plan of man for a long time? Did you have that thing you're back in your mind for a minute. Yeah, I always wanted I always had like, I always had that vision. I wanted. I wanted to do something. I wanted to be able to, you know, give something to bring back
you know what I'm saying. So I started doing like little uh a little appearance and ship like that in certain situations and places like that with with young kids and and and certain little schools, and you know, they're like, you pee, come over here because you break with kids and all that, and you know, like they need to and they look up. They know who you are, and you know, and they young, but they know who the hell you are. That's so crazy, and that a lot
of all right cool. So I was just you know, that's all cool, you know what I'm saying. But I'm trying to get back. I'm trying to help them brothers out. It's it's it's a lot of us that come home and they got shipped, you know what I'm saying. They got stories, they got ship. They want to let go. You know what I'm saying. Dog in the yard is that kind of vibe where you sit down with me.
It's no front. You can't hit me with it. You know, you killed thirty eight guys in prison or you did that, and we're talking the real ship like you're gonna sit there, We're gonna vibe it out. You're gonna you know what I'm saying, you tell me, what happened? What was the reason of going to prison? You know what I'm saying. You're gonna know how was in prison? You know what I'm saying. What was the circumstances for you? You You know what I'm saying, cause I can tell you moms, you
know what I'm saying. So every all of us have different ones. You know what I'm saying. So tell me your story. And they feel good going out there many you know, it's that platform where you know what I'm saying, You're gonna open up, you can express how you feel. You know what I'm saying. And you and and then you see that, and then you also see what they're doing now you know what I'm saying, which is the outcome of since they've been home? What you're doing that?
Or I do this, I do that. This is what I'm doing now working on here. Everybody on my show, they focused, they're doing their thing. They you know, they they're getting money, you know me, they and they out and they free. You know what I'm saying. They're out here, they're providing you know what I'm saying. They came back to society and they're doing their thing. And that's what
we want. So when the youth look at my show, it's like, oh ship, you know, I ain't gotta be all acting all like this and all that, Like, look what happened to her? You know what I'm saying. So that's what I wanted. So I'm happy with with with what what with the whole outcome? You know, as far as dog in the y'all, you know what, brothers from California call you and they're just getting out of prison, going through that, trying to make the transition. Oh you
know California, man, that's that's like my second home. Man. I don't never see I'll never look at nobody different. I'm gonna tell you something. This is the difference between you know, O G and those that pretend to be old g s. Because anybody is not an old G. Motherfucker's get a bag. And now they're calling them old
G A big bro. You know what I'm saying, Like, I don't get be you know what I'm saying, Like, my man, just because you got that bag, I ain't gonna start talking different like fun No, you know what I'm saying. So I carry myself the same way everywhere I go, Like I don't put up. I don't put no faces, I don't put no stuff. I ain't had to get ready in order for me to come here and speak to you guys. This is who the funk I am. You feel me? So say way the same way I rocked with you, I rock in l A
and I got all the homies over there. I got I funk with everybody over there, like it's all love. I go there, nothing changes. I don't tuck my chain in. I don't have to do none of that. I don't have to, you know, follow up because I funk with the real. You know what I'm saying. When you're funk with the real, and then and and basically the same molds and principles, it's gonna be love. Ay where you go. I go to Chicago, I get love. I go to Las my second home. I go, I go out there.
It's all it's great, it's love, you know what I'm saying. So everybody want to be a part of the dog in the yard. You know what I'm saying. You get on my show, you sort of fire you one million per set Street certify not on you know what I'm saying. You jump on my show that because we don't jump. You just can't jump on my show. You can't just get on my show. And you know, I don't even know. Now we gotta be we look, we gotta see what you what you're doing, what's going on? What you went
to jail for? We you know, we don't want nobody that's gonna jump on my show that you know locked up thirteen motherfucker's and all that. We're not trying to have that vibe, you know what I'm saying, because we ain't got the piles, so we can't really talk. We can't relate, so you can't say I got the same principles we got, brother, because we if you come on
this show, you gotta be official. We can't have it to where later on somebody come back and be like, Man, that dude don't send fifty dudes to jail and he ran away. I don't heard about a lot of referens. I got to do my due diligence and home. You tell me, man, that dude he had in PC. He was a Muslim the whole time in jail, and ain't nothing wrong with that. Or he took his he took his strings out of his shoes when he came in there.
You hear about all that stuff, you know, so you gotta do your fact checks man, and you're doing some beautiful stuff. And a matter of man, we gonna talk offline. I've been talking with your people, man. Um, we got some stuff that's gonna be happening in the Dallas man, because that's our main thing is to reach these kids. Man. It ain't about none of the other stuff. Let go.
It's about reaching these kids, man, and keeping dudes. You know what I'm saying, keeping dudes and straight and narrow, because they gotta talk to cats like you, James eight and everybody else. Cause that's only way they're gonna believe it. Now, we got it, man, or you gotta listen. I'll be more than welcome, man, I'll I'll be. It would be my pleasure, man. I would love to go out there and break it down to them and all that. That's what I I love it, man, because you know what
they listen. Trust me, You'll be you'd be surprised they listen. Man. You you come through that and you and you you come with who you are, and they're gonna listen. Man, They're gonna be like, oh ship, this is not no scar straight. This is no none of that. You know what I'm saying. We ain't gotta go through none of that. And what I'm saying now we we're gonna bob exactly. Man, So tell me, man, so these people won't miss out. Man, we're can they find dog in the yard? Man? With
days to come on? Man, where can we get to that? Man? Where can they get it? I mean the easiest way, Man's dog Dog in the Yard? On YouTube? Man, It's on every platform though, Spotify is on every every other platform. But but those that don't, don't not familiar with the spot go to YouTube is the easiest way. You know, won't subscribe for free, you know what I'm saying. And you already know you want You're on deck. You're a part of the team, and we got you on here too. Man.
We're about to drop that link man in the description and everything, so people you see because you've got a good, great show, man, and I love it. And the thing I liked about it, man, it wasn't like what we was doing. And I tell people all the time, it's enough room for everybody to tell their stories, man, because it ain't about us trying to get famous and the popping everything. It's really to try to say these shortiest lives and to tell these and and and be man, listen, man,
you be surprised. A lot of brothers man love my show. Man. A lot of rappers they really this is Fat Joe's face of the show. Mike is my show. Joe announced it all the time, like, Yo, that's because he's my brother. And I supposed to be loyal you and it. I loved Dog in the yard man, like I could sit there and really watched this ship. People love to hear some authentic stories. People love to hear real niggas from the street tell their stories of their pitfalls and then
their accomplishments that we can come out from bullshit. Real niggas appreciate that. You know what I'm saying. And this week by here coming this week on what day comes out on Monday, mother the Uh. Hip Hop on cover every Wednesday, hip Hop on cover this um this Wednesday. A fact. Sure, we just had to help me Big You. We've had Big You on the show. We was talking about that and everything. Man, Yeah, I can't wait till
you come out. I'm on that. I'm that still. Steve A. Bell is the guy that put me in the game. Steve Bell a good brother, Steve Bell putting a lot of work in the game. So he been the game. He said, you know what I mean, you've been in the game either one. I either want to open the doors and was like, Yo, you know what I'm saying, your pistol, I got. You know what I'm saying that open the doors and I just do what I gotta do. It's just the same. It's the same hustle, the same
mentality you know from the street. You just you know, you gotta convert that and sit down and be able to vie with these people. You just gotta be able to sit at the table with him. And even though you come from the walks of life that we come from, all you gotta do is show intelligence. You're showing a little intelligence. You'd be surprised at what motherfucker's want to do. Proma tell you sign half for the motherfucker, half for the motherfucker's that deal with me. They felt like they
couldn't deal with me. It's like because motherfucker described me as an animal. Oh he's expeating up like his island. You know what I'm saying, so motherfucker's is like I can't talk to that dude. You know, I said, they see me in the club, you know I'm coming through and all that. You know, dudes, it's like they know me. They're peeking all that me and dude, don't you know they're like they look at you. They Man, it's not
even like that. Once they get to vide with me and all that, and we talked to be like, man, this is the fucking greatest man, Like I don't know what the fun was. Just sounds like that's your Porto Ricans counterpart, man, because I have to tell people about him all the time all the time. You know, people ask me what band is James. Don't be say, man, James is the most coolest brother you want to meet
if you ain't on the bullshit. But if you want some bullshit then you know, like bullshit man, Like that all we have is each other. Man, Like, I ain't no time of fund and all that fake ship man. Like you know what I'm saying, it is all love man, Like I'm not with all the ship. Man. Like, if if we're not cool, you're gonna know we're not cool, right, That's it. You know what I'm saying. That's that's that's that's just basically with Pete Man, we're here for you man.
We're rocking with you, man, and I can't wait to do these um further collaborations and everything. Brother official and man, let's get it. Let's go to that's going down. We're putting it together now. And that's what I was talking with James about. We want to definitely have different take from stuff. You know what I'm saying, because your take is gonna be different from here is on stuff. Man, they just give different voices and the kids need to
hear because they're down. They're killing each other in Dallas. Man, they really on some ship down the in Dallas. I'm gonna tell you something, when you when you get when you get me, you're gonna get me and anybody that believe in me. Do you understand what that means exactly? That when I go to Dallas, I'm gonna bring mind. I'm gonna bring, I'm gonna bring Dice boxing that that did twenty six years, I'm gonna bring. I'm gonna bring
