Welcome everybody to another episode of the Gangster Chronicles. I'm your host, Big Steel with my homeboy, and I'm Big j Well with Big Ja. We got a situation going on. Man, we have another brother that is killed by the police. Man right right. I uh, I was looking at that on my phone and I just was. I was discussed by it and then listening to the audio of it and this man pleading for help and shaying, I can't breathe,
I can't breathe. He already down, he's already handcuffed. What more can that man do with all them officers right there? So I think they went way too overboard. They was overboard with that one. Yeah, exactly, Man, Minneapolis happened to Minneapolis. I'm the man's name was George Floyd. Um, I don't know what the charges were for. I don't know what they arrested him for. Man at this point doesn't matter, Man.
All I know is that, Um, there's view the shows this officer man with his knees and his man's neck, man, and he's saying I can't breathe, I can't breathe, And it's a crowd of people looking at this whole incident. Happened, man, and go down. Man. It it was just almost real. It was almost like not again. Well I didn't even think of it, not again, because I'm already knowing this is,
this is a process of pattern. This ship's gonna keep happening, whether they got people with their cameras out video on this ship or not. The police, the police is at the point where they like, really don't even give a fun no more. And for that man to lose his life like that and beg for his life, you know, talking to him, the people that was had they was video on it was telling him he can't he can't breathe,
blood coming out his nose now. And that that officer stayed on his neck and then put his hand on his knee as if he was pressing to pressing a little harder. So he knew he was killing him because could nobody say ship. And then you had another officer, the Asian officer that that stood there and tried to cover the people with their cameras. You know what I'm saying opposed to two and I think he should be charged as well as when he got fired. But to block it, not to go to his partner and say
that's enough. Yeah, exactly didn't happen. Well, all of them have to face some level of responsibility, and all of them are accountable because what should have happened is on top of those guys getting terminated, um four officers that were standing around, they should get no less than twenty years. And the guy that actually had his knee on this guy's neck, he should get life and the penitentiary or the death penalty, Jackie, how about to say the death penalty?
And we talked about this ship on our show many times. What made them exempt from being accountable like I would be if I killed somebody? Exactly exactly? What's the fucking difference? You know? And we all are accountable, man, And you know the biggest thing and it uh, we talked about this before exams. You've seen this many times before. Man. Before we fix this problem, man, we really have to fix us as a people. Man. We can say that
until we turned blue in the face. But if I see in and I know a whole lot of black men haven't seen this, and we can't talk about nobody else if we the main was killing each other. Here we are we game banging motherfucker's on the kovid nineteen is supposed to be in the house, but they out there with their guns doing drive by it still, so it ain't gonna stop. That's why I said, kill these motherfucker's and be done with it, and then we can
build some type of structure. But man, we gotta pay attention to what these people are doing to us, opposed to getting out there rallying when the police do it. But but we do it to ourselves every day, every fucking night, somebody is getting killed, even at a time like this, So how do we make motherfucker's accountable for it? Well, you know what it is, man, homicide. Man is like a devastating plague this in our community, man, And you know it's the same with every city, man, from Compton
to Baltimore to Chicago. Man, um, out of all the homicides man, like I think they said in Baltimore is three hundred something homicides last year, you know, l A, in Chicago, all high cities, Detroit, but the but the majority of these crimes are being perpetted, perpetrated by other black people. Man. So we are really the biggest danger to us if you count the the times the police have killed us not giving them no excuse by any meanings,
by a loan shot. But if you look at it, man, we stand and lose our life at the hands of a black man, the odds are way harder than that of a police officer. If you looked at the rally that they had in uh, Minneapolis, it was more skins and white than it was black people at this rally. And and at some point you gotta really get tired of this bullshit because that's all we do is fucking talk.
All we do is bark. But but have a rally when these dudes go out here, when we kill each other, four or five at a time, have a rally for for that man life or whatever. Don't just go and take off on the on the police. But what what the police doing that we ain't doing to ourselves? Exactly exactly. And that's our point, man, because it's like, you know, um, we have a real, a really bad problem and as a community, man, that we sit up and kill each
other all day. Man. But I looked at it. Even when this guy was on the ground, as this officer had his knee and his neck, nobody threw it rock, nobody did nothing. All they did was have their phones out. How many people you think rock there when this man did you see the video? How many people are out there when this man was getting killed? Nobody and the and the black guy that said he dude, he does martial arts, didn't go over there and try to just
check on him my phone. Yeah, because of the things, man, And I'm being honest, man, I would like to. I know, I can almost guarantee you. Man, if I'm riding down the street and I see a police officer with his knee and somebody's neck and this man is to the point it's him dying, I'm at least come over and try to push the off, throw off him. I'm gonna throw something, I'm gonna do something to the distract this dude, because after a while, if everybody take off on these dudes, yeah,
they could pull off their guns. But your point is your mission is accomplished once he takes his knee off the guy's neck. I think we just fucking comfortable of police, butality like we've been. You know, this goes all the way back to the sixties. The way they used to whoop I ass. They're still whooping the ass the same way now and and At first it was you had a you had a break in it. When when social media and all this ship kicked in, now they have
to think. But now they they just right back to it. And and racism play a big part of this ship. You know, you got ex cops killing black man just for jogging. You got cops uh killing gang members just because they can, And it's us not paying attention to what the fund is really going on. So this is what I see in society. I'd rather do you than do this white boy that just killed my brother. I'm gonna kill another motherfucker because the consequences ain't gonna be
so heavy if I funk with this white man. Bullish it bullshit. Yeah, you know what, man? That the thing is about it? Man. And I'm really starting to think, man, we don't value ourselves as the people we never have. You know what, we don't value salesman, We don't value our community. Man. And I know they're out there riding in Minnesota right now, and I really hope they're not tearing up their own neighborhood, ten of your own ship. The only outcome of that is just like the ninety
two rides, nobody got nothing out of that. Nobody got that. You don't gain shipped from that. You're riding on the wrong thing. The building didn't didn't, didn't beat the ship out of Rodney King. Um the ground are the police called? Nothing else? Killed this man? Uh killed George? It was a police officer, Yeah, exactly, you know. And that's the thing, man, all we known for doing in this country, man, is um. You can add them. You can add filming on the
phone to the list. We know how to march, we know how to pray, we know how to um film on camera now, but we really don't know how to protest. Man. We have so much power as the people, man. We we we are so influential as a people man that we don't exercise that power that we have, the real
true power that we have. Man, if you look back into um and at times, man, we really had really revolutionary brothers in the country, man, like the Black Panther Party and all these other people, man that were really true revolutionaries. Man. They really went on the line with it. They went all the way with it. It wasn't no fear in their heart. They said, we gonna get changed either by either way. We gonna get changed by any means necessary, you know what I mean. And we don't
have that mentality now. But when it comes to me having a problem with you, oh, I'm going all out. I'm gonna do whatever I have to do. If that means chicken in your door, I'm blowing your brains out and killing everybody else that's in the house, We're gonna do that. But when it comes to this, man, we need to really unify as a race, man, and I'm talking about fast. It needs to be a unification of us, and it has to be a certain structure to it.
I'm not saying I have all the answers. I'm not even saying that this show has the answers, and but we really need to unify together. Man. We need to start making our and you know not and this is not going off subject, but me man, like when that guy said the other day, well, you're not black. When Biden says you're not black if you don't vote for me, he really meant that. And that's because that's the way
we've demonstrated this. Like blacks always come out the parkt and say, oh, I'm a Republican, right, I mean I'm a Democrat, right, I'm this I'm that I'm a Democratic Republicans as all racists, no, you know, and really for the longest in this country, we were Republicans for the longest. We have to make our vote means something, man, and what that means. We need to unify and say, Okay, the person that's gonna get our vote is gonna be the person that meets these demands. I look at this different.
Regardless who the black man vote for, the situation remains the same. I don't give a funk who you put up there. It's the white man that you're putting up there, and some of them you just can't trust because it's all about politics to these motherfucker's. They don't give a funk about you and me. They don't get about the game bangers killing each other. So what the funk I'm gonna vote for? Everything stayed the same. Their motherfucker's keep getting rich and we stayed pold. So I mean, I
ain't even fun the politics. See all with James, you can't say the politics because that's the same stuff that puts these people in part. That's why we're in a position that we get James, but we can't keep saying fuck the politics. That's why they're able to keep getting away with the stuff that they're doing. Man, we need to really and and it's all and it may never happen to me in your lifetime. The way we are, it's all about we gotta unify. That's the only way
we have strength. Man. We need to come together. Man, we need to start. And don't get this the wrong way when I say bearing arms. Man. But did you see man with those people in Kentucky in these different places when they wanted to get they they want to be shut in. They want this coronavirus. They was marching up today. Um, they was marching into their political office. Man, with their guns and everything else. Did you see them dues in Detroit? Man, they want plan They had their
guns over their shoulder and they want up. The man had told them people what they want. They want playing they got with the white guys. Yeah. Now, And I like the flip ship. What if it was thirty black men that walked up to the same steps with their guns, the army would have been there and we had to drop that ship and we had to surrender. We'd had to give up. The way they politic is, it's all right for that white boy to do it, just like
a white man teaching his son how to shoot a gun. Sure, a black man teaching his son how to shoot the gun. It's sucking wrong. So it's a double standard. Asked fucking world out there, and we don't get it until we understand it. I understand it now. We're fighting something, we're talking about something we would never be able to win. We we had never conquered this situation. It's gonna always be. But the only thing we can do is understand and pay attention to the what's to to what the fund
is happening to us. We're given away our lives and we're taking lives at the same time. At the end of the day, we're done if we don't stop and fix that. Now, we we do have enough. We do have control where we can stop the police from doing what the funk they're doing. We can police them motherfucker's And that's what I'm saying. You know, just imagine this, man, I'm gonna tell you this. If you notice, and not to put too much you know, hood business out there.
It's some neighborhoods and lost angeles that the police don't come through acting the food with that stuff because they know they can get busted on, and they act a certain way. You know, it's certain neighborhoods and Compton, Am I right a wrong Compton? While it's in different places the way they know, if I come in here doing this, somebody gonna let loose and this motherfucker's so I'm gonna
come through with utmost respect. And I'm gonna tell you just like you said them thirty brothers, thirty black brothers. Marks on the stairs somewhere the army gonna come and knock them down. Now, what happens if thirty more shot after that? If we keep coming, not just there, but in l A two, we keep coming until they say, because the thing is man, sometimes man the only way. Sometimes man, war is necessary in order the institute changed. Man,
I'm believing war and a whole lot of us. I'm talking about brothers like me that lived the street, living the hood, understand what war is. But we we we we are wars against each other. Now, let's let's reverse that. If our war wasn't against each other. And I'm not promoting the violence, but what I'm saying is something we're gonna have to stand up and and protect ourselves because ain't nobody else is gonna do it. Just like with these cops that killed George, they only got fired. Man,
these motherfucker's should be accountable for murder. They killed him. That man is set on his neck killed him. This is murder. So they don't give a funk about our lives. You lost your job, take your ass home and go find something else to do. But he still get his goddamn pension. He's still able to take care his family. The whole motherfucker nine. That's a waste to get. That's the fucking line. Kill him because I'm gonna tell you
it's a whole bunch of them guys. Man, I don't know the particulars of this case, but I bet you, I'm willing to bet you everything I got, man, that these guys are still gonna get their pension. Like you said, they still gonna get paid. They still get administrative leave and all that stuff, and they probably get early retirement. You know, early retirement. They're straight. They just getting, you know, sit at home and kick it pretty much. Don't wait.
This score affect them as they get some jail time, and that's what we need to fight for. We can't continue to let people get away with this because I'm gonna tell you something. A dog has more rights in this country than not do as a black man. If I went out here now we in Hollywood. If I went outside now on Hollywood and somebody saw me dragging the dog by the thing, I would get a million white people jump out of the car. Head. You can't do that. Oh hell, were raised loose, and I'm serious,
it would be all kind of protest. Is I'm gonna tell you something with these white folks, And I'm not praxious. I don't have nothing against white people. I don't have nothing against white pop. But I'm gonna tell you this. You do something bad one of them, Oh hell, go break loose, they go stop spending money with you, they go up doing everything else. They got Michael, they got
Michael fix As putting zero four damn dog. And I don't I don't mean to cut you out on but the same ship I've been saying on this show for the longest, and this ship just it's a it's a cycle. Here. You got a man jogging get killed. Look how long it took them to to arrest them. To mother Pucker's but if just say, if that motherfucker if two white boys running and jogging and Compton down my street and
and they got killed. Every motherfucker they got a profile, got a card on, it's going to jail, and they're gonna get that murder to us. How many motherfucking white boys do you see that did thirty seven years, twenty five years and they let them out the majority our black men falsely accused. So, man, this ship is on us. This ship is on us. It's gonna keep happening to us.
And it's a cold as conversation. And and my only point is, man, black man, brothers, y'all need to stand the funk up and let's stop this bullshit against each other. And then, I mean, and see what the fun is going on? Look at our president, which, like I said, I'm not gonna vote because it don't matter who was in office, the same ship has gonna happen. We're gonna
get the same goddamn ship. These motherfucker's think because you got twelve hundred motherfucking dollars a stimulus check, that this motherfucker's are doing something for us. Man, They're giving us some motherfucking bone. And then not to appreciate it. We go by motherfucking TV this, I tell you, and that's the older And see, James, that's a whole another conversation, man, because I'm gonna tell you the biggest thing they did. Man. See,
I'm gonna tell you, man, what happened with Lyndon B. Johnson? Man, Ben thinks Johnson? Man, you know what was the president of the United States? Right? He said, Man, I'm gonna tell you what he said in the short form, right, without going all into it, he said, if we give these niggas welfare and some free ship, just a little something to make him think they into something, because what
do you understood with Lyndon Johnson understood? He understood that the black man this country was starting to get a little political called right, the devote meant something. So what are he said he saw earlier on? He said that if we give these niggas a little something, you know, welfare, public housing, you know, public houses and stuff, we get their vote. And you know what he said, and this is the truth. They got him on tapes in and he said them niggas would be Democrats, vote Democrat for
the next two hundred years. And that's what they've been doing. I'm gonna tell you the first thing they did. They they systematically man took the man out of the home. Right. They told the woman, we're gonna give you two hundred dollars a month for every kid that you put push out of you. Right, we'll give you some food stamps, and we're gonna let you pay a hundred dollars a
month to live somewhere in SEPs of dollars houses. Right, to keep you lazy, exactly, to keep you lazy, to keep you depending on what it usually happens, that woman, she more unlikely she gotta do this land piped to a good He was father of her children, and so she got them sneaked in there. The first time that dude does something the first time he come home late, or she get piste off, or you gotta go, or
either he gets caught. Now he's gone. Right, So you got the government, they don't took the place, because I'm gonna tell you nowadays, man, the government is taking care of people's kids, right, Yeah, the government is taking care of people as the kids, right, you know. So so this boy and it's a system. Man. So you got a kid that grows up, man up under a woman, and no offense of that, because there are plenty of women to do a great job raising kids. Man, they
grow up to be strong young men. Right. But on the second hand, it ain't no male figure in the household, so they took that away, right, So this stuff ain't just happened overnight. Man. We we are victims of self hatred. Man. I even see some of the younger kids, man that walk around. If somebody is too dark, they're making jokes about them. If somebody is light skinned, he's soft. We all black. It don't matter which shade with with with tone you are. We are all black, nonscience black niggers
look purple though. Yeah, but but but still game. You didn't know what I'm saying, though, You know what I'm saying. It's really a lot of like like even that man, that's that, that's like that, that covert racism, man, like amongst us. You know what I mean. We just don't like each other. Man, We don't like each other. We don't like ourselves. Man. We we know him. We are taught to hate, to hate our own race. We have been taught just on the street, from a street perspective.
Every game member out there has been taught and told something to hate the next cat or to hate the next hood. You know what I'm saying. And the and they play this against us. They've been playing it against us. And then the cold thing about it is we bite into that ship. We bite into it. We believe that that dude ain't no good because police said that that
dude with Joe homeboy. We believe that, you know what I'm saying, instead of us just sitting back and then cats come to you and say, man, I, we don't know nothing about it. Bull ship. We're gonna take the word of the police. Oh your home boy just told me what you did. I see this on forty hours every day. He just told us what happened. And we all see it every day. The same thing. We create jobs for the police. The more we kill, the more police they officers they bring it. You see the day
they don't give a funk. I watched uh Chicago p D or some ship whatever it was. This goddamn police lady was at least three fifty. She can't catch me what the funk she doing being a cop. They're just giving them jobs so they have they don't have to worry about ship that we were about paying bills. She don't, she don't need a job. They hand cops at forty six years old. Motherfucker's too old. But they're giving them jobs to keep them stable. He funked up. We funked up.
You know what I'm saying. And and my my biggest thing is that everybody out here has to see that they're taking our life. They're taking our lives. The police don't give a funk about our kids. What what do it take two police officers to body slam and beat a twelve year old little boy and then handcuffing. No, you're supposed to be trained in this type of ship. I've just seen on on the on the video. Uh and uh St Louis. They was at a rally. This
lady is sixty seventy years old. Police choking the ship out of it? Do it take? Do it take? No? But do it take a cop to do that to you? Because it's it's it's fucking frustrating because that could be my mama. You feel me right there and then right down and next to him is a black police officer. You know what I'm said, Come on, man, you gotta have some type of pride and and and what you are, not where you are, but what you are exactly. And you know the thing he was, man, one person I
gotta give properts to hear. You'll talk about Regie's dad all the time, right, and how he was in the community. Man. We really need man, We really really needs to happen. Man, we can't because I've heard people tell their kids or you ain't gonna never be a police officer. If that you can't be no police officer. You know what I mean? One want No, that's the exact opposite. We need more and more young brothers from the community to go be police officers. Man to police the community in which they
come from. You know, I'm dude, you know how many black men have been denied? Have you seen that sign Sherman Black say we need you. Man. My cousin Tony Uh, I think sixteen years in the military, came and wanted to be a police officer. He had to be a correction officer because they denied him. They denied him. That's in firefight everything that you see that has to do with with the police, firefighters. Uh, in the medical field, the whole nine. The majority is whites. Ain't too many
motherfucking black people. We don't control ship and some of the black cops that you see, I got my ask worshen more about the black cops and coming down. Just everything is rolled fucking play. And you know, when I was growing up and I'm a raising from Cleveland, hell, man, we had cat Nam Woods. That was our community police officer. Right, he's a black dude, and he had a Puerto Rican do man. It was his partner. Man. I can't tell
you how many arms he broke, how many fingers he broke. Oh, they didn't arrest nobody, right, but if he comes you, he would whoop your ass. But you know, and that's the problem right now today they do. They got the right to do what they want to do to you. They saved by any means necessary. That's bullshit because they got away the situation when nay on the spot right there. It don't take this big gass officer to to put
a choke hold on a twelve year old kid. I don'na give a funk how bad he is or how mad he gets, he should be able to to uh subdue that kid. A sixty year old woman, black woman, you shouldn't have to pick her up embody slammer to the ground to arrester if if you do what I'm saying is that that that's a coward ass bitch. You know what I'm saying. And police officers has the same untility as us when we mad at our girl and
step out and and and start hanging out. I'm ready to take my aggression out on something, and it's gonna be somebody. Unfortunately, they patrolled the black neighborhood. Half of these cats don't do ship and then they just say stop you just to stop resisting like the best skin cat that that was against the gate. You can see what the fun you want to say, But look how
they did. He this something. The bit he was at a black officer, I mean, uh, female officer with him, he felt that it was only right that he started just swinging like a motherfuck like a madman beating ship out. This dude well swinging. He didn't hit him. He was throwing the blows, but he didn't contact every punchy blew. But the point is that's not the mentality you're supposed
to have as a police officer. You hit a server and the check not to tell me now, not to kill me, not to not to do me like that. But I'm wrong. If I swing back, I'm wrong. If I swing back and and and you hit back, then now they're right. Now they can say this is what he did like that one guy. I seen it again. Uh, this black man, he didn't have no gun in his hand, but he was running from the building. He had his hands up like this and he was running towards the police.
Police just unloaded on him, took him out. The mother, the man on the ground, and he's still popping him. Man, they do that that they show you that they don't give a funk about your life, you know what I'm saying. And it's unfortunate that that that all the bad ones, they give all police officers a bad name, and there's some good ones out there. Yeah, let me play Devil's advocate man with this right here, right, And I don't agree with this, but we had our own chie right.
I used to have this mentality, right, he used to have this, um. He used to have this mentality. Um that you had the police our neighborhoods harder because you was more than likely to run into some resistance, so you had to come out there not playing like you heard Rechie saying, if you made him chase you, he was whooping your ass when he comes. You've heard him
saying on this very show right there. So do we now like and it goes back again to us because you've got some dudes out here that ain't know all the way right right. You got some guys out here that ain't know all the way right in the neighborhood. Do we have to be police harder? Do they have the polices like that if they did take the line of where they say, you know what, we're gonna get these guys a break and you know, do our job
the right way, would they lose their life out there? Well, I mean, just being one hundred straight across the board. You have cats out there such as myself when I was out there that didn't give a funk about the police that that was going to run. You had guys shooting at the police because I'm not gonna get caught. They have a cold job. They have a cold as job to do a dangerous job. But the ship that
you see, they're killing people without weapons. They they killing people with the choke hold, they're killing people with with We're just just the ship that they're doing. They ain't chasing them. Mofucking how many how many times you see the man get killed dumping on the police and they just added like that. The last time I show that's when those those guys robbed that bank and had on all that that arm Yeah, that's that's the last time I've seen it. And you've seen how they fold under
pressure then, but I haven't seen him. That's what I'm telling you, man. I think that if we and this don't get me wrong, people, it's not all about violence right now, there's that violence is the last last resort. You don't never want to go there because that's the battle. We're not go in because they're gonna bring the army and whoever else in here. Right But the thing else, at some point we have to um, we have to let them know we're not taking no more. And this
is just some breaking news. Man. I just got this in. Man shouts out to Brian man Or, our producer or video editor. He can sent this in. Man. There's a big demonstration out here going on in l A man behind that fine with Georgia Floyd. Yeah, George Floyd's death. From here, it is right here. Hundreds of people marks through downtown Los Angeles and the Black Lives Matter protests
over the death from George Floyd in Minnesota. The march resulted in a violent confrontation with police and shutting down to the one oh one Freeway near downtown and estimated five hundred to a thousand people participating the events starting near city Hall and then marching through downtown. It appears that the event was not clear what city officials in advance, as there was a minimum police prisons in the area. Now you look at that right there. That's the way
it should be, James. If something happens because see one incident, it doesn't matter where that if it affects us everywhere. Something happens in Detroit, it affects me and you out here right his impact over everybody right in l A. They out here marking now because of something that happened in Minnesota. This should be happening all over the country. And I'm gonna tell you what would happen if stuff like this happened all over the country. And I'm gonna
tell you forget. You want to go tear oft Compton, don't go tear at Watts march right up to Beverly Hills, marks to where where it's at, right there, and we're marching. We're coming. You do something that, you do something that's out of pocket to one of ours, we're coming. If they know that's gonna happen, they're gonna start thinking, let's get stuff right, let's make proper rest, let's do stuff in the right order. If we don't, they go raise hell.
Because I'm gonna tell you, you're gonna do something to a Jewish dude. The whole Jewish community is gonna raise hell at the end of the day. The only thing we bring this conversation, the only thing we bring to the table when ship like this happened, is we're angry. You feel me when the little girl was killed. Motherfucker's still go to that store and by their ship. What's your name the titia. Yeah, people still go to the store and buy every boy and buy from them. The Chinese.
Wait a minute, in Chinese. In China, they're beating the ship out of black people right now, snacks them out their homes and everything else. So we still were still shopping at their stores and and and buying. Motherfucking we even they got damn Chinese food. The motherucker's can tell you that's cat and we're still buy That's how bad we are. That's how bad we are. So they can even be honest with us and and we still fall for the bullshit. Don't get dope. This is what I'm saying.
We gotta get better with our shelves. We gotta understand where the funk we're going and where we want to go in this world. In this world, these motherfucker's going to the moon. You think how many black motherfucker's been up there. I want to go. Yeah, you know the thing. You know, and this has happened, man um, And I don't want to make this a thing man, to where it's just about because, like I said, I don't hate nobody. Man, I don't hate nobody because of color, man um or race,
of creed, right a religion. I know you feel the same way, man, But like I said, Man, a dog gets more respect in this country than we do. If I went outside, like I said, and they saw me choking the dog, it would be fifty people running out their houses around this neighborhood. Man. Somebody would try to jump on me, man, because of that dog. Let me tell you, man, and I know this is probably oh man. Instead of sign displayed at the McDonald's and trying to bread,
black people are not allowed inner. Just one instance of a growing problem. You know, they had a sign up for the McDonald's and signed a man saying pretty much that, um, the coronavirus came here because of black people, so y'all can come to the restaurant. There was going early in the morning snacking black people out their cribs. Man saying, y'all gotta get out of here. Y'all got the coronavirus. That's my point exactly. But they here and black people
don't have the same temperament. Black people ain't thinking like that. Let's go whoof they asked, since they're doing us like that, and black people have been accepting as woman's and death since the beginning of time. This is what I'm trying to tell you. Motherfucker's just gotta be tired to try
to living like that. You know, we got some rich black people, but you ain't gonna get in there and go nowhere and came by and let's their motherfucker's tell you all right, I mean the white man they run this ship. This is their ship. But we can we can be, we can better ourselves. So it don't take no white man, it don't take it. Don't take no fucking uh social workers. Uh, motherfucking shrink of whomever. They can't tell me ship. We we we can do this. Well,
I'm telling you we could do it, man. And it starts by organization. Man, it's like, um, I noticed, man, it's a lot of it's a lot of young men out there walking around with no guidance right now. Man, I'm I'm gonna say that could be an excuse, but I think we got Rixie on the phone right there. Hello, let's call let's call it. I'm in jail monitory call now, Hey Reggie, what's having a big dog? Oh? Man, we're just sitting up there, man, Me and Sjames sitting the
penning on work. Okay you need it, man, um me and mac uh Matt, Matt coming up here next week. So it's just me and James in here. Man, we're talking about I didn't murder another one of the brothers. Man. Yeah, yeah, I saw that. I saw that. Yeah that that dude going to jail. He uh, he kept his foot on that too. Long. I mean, you know, once the hairdcuffs come on, the fighters over. What up, Jamey, Hey, what's
happening with your reg? Oh? Oh man, I've been I've been laying on the couch like an old fat lady waiting for you to call me. Okay, okay, I called you a couple of times, shout your phone, go to wait now or but down they comes up with a two or two other soff you see it? Like, sure, you answer it? Okay if if my phone goes straight the voice man, that's your Grandshong said that, yeah, yeah, yeah, so sad. So Reg what what what are you thinks?
I know you don't have So I really want to get your thoughts on this man, because I was telling James Man the data had put us for them. Miss guys nick Man, he needs to get the death penalty. He needs to get the jail for risk his life. Well he's gonna get the death on me, but he's gonna be a jail for a long time. And in that city, he ain't gonna have to pass some more bad checks because that city, hopefully he got some kids where he couldn't leave that that money to him. You
know kids who preferred to have their dad. But um, that's that watch that. I mean that that compass. Obviously I've met you from the history of in his path and that's w I always try to tell everybody he got to report it because one time ain't nothing gonna happen. Two times something probably don't happen. But three times the
department start to listen. Let me ask you do you think do you think he was prejudiced or he was just ay you come man, no, man, cost don't they don't be presu They just see people as cooks, um. And so what happens is, you know, because I'm experiencing in here, they just they don't look at you know, the thing like it's prejudice. It's just stam against the world. And until you get get dealt with like he's about to get deal with, and and and till things keep happening. Uh,
they say they are just trained that way. It's just in their dna um to be that way until they take the ant to jail. When you start going to jail and just keep happening, trust me, they you change your tomb, man, your tomb change on the ship like that. So you you know we did at show him this ridge. What do you think it's gonna take? Because whether we stopped resisting or not, the same outcome, it's gonna happen.
You can be anything. They say he was resisting. We haven't seen the whole tape because I heard the take cut off and I haven't seen the whole tape, but I heard it. There's some part where he was had comfortant that he didn't appear to be resisting. Um, so I won't go with that job. I used to take the dance on. That's waiting to see it all and all of that. But I watched the video. He had his he had his his knee on his neck. The
man started bleeding out his nose. The man was was was begging him and let him up for for some water. He was complaining of he was in pain and that motherfuck. He didn't pay attention to nothing. He didn't want to hear nothing. So the man died right up under him, and he still wouldn't let up. Yeah. I heard the paramedics for there and treating him and he still had hi put on his back. Yeah, I don't know what's going with him. So he said him make ship his
motherfucker dad, that's what that was. That rings you know what I was telling James, Man, I told him when I really fistic see about this, I would never tell somebody to go fight the police. Man. But like after a while, man, we gotta take the stands. Man. We can't do nothing like you saw holding salestones. I can't do that, y'all. We cannot do that. Hey, Um, I gotta do account. I sucked up and called right before account and uh they're about to make up do account
of ergency account. I gotta get off the phone, but I don't call back in exactly one hour if y'all still there, Um, and then were good? Can you more appreciate y'all? Y'all keep it going. But I gotta gonna be killed. And man, I can't wait to pick you up. Sure we can fight me and know I've been in the month. So get that car ready because it should be within the month man, that you're coming home. I mean the month I call a man that was gonna
be home and then next month. Yeah, that was that was a way Reggie right right there, everybody, Um, guys, been good. He could be coming on. He's supposed to be coming home pretty soon. You'll heard that right there, said in the end of the month. Yeah, not next month. M that what he said next month. But I've been I've been telling Reggie we're gonna fight when he comes home. We're coming to get him. We're gonna go up there. We're gonna get him, and me and Reggie gonna have
to uh, we're gonna have to duke get out. Well, you got to start running some track of something. I'm gonna heard that on that. I'm say, you gotta start running. Get your cardio together. Man, Man, i gotta get tired. As motherfucker. I'm still gonna fight. So we gotta say that energy man for these police out here, man, it
ain't even that on some real ship. If if if we get the understanding each other better than what we're doing, and and monitoring each other and paying attention to what's really happening, that's all the way from Donald Trump, that's all the way to the police. Everybody out here know that racism exists. You know, everybody out here know that that.
You got that as w P, Supreme White Power, you got the Aaron Brothers, you got all these different organizations you know of racist motherfucker's you know, you've got racism and the police station. We just got to understand that all of that's around us. So now how do we how do we maneuver around that ship? Yeah, you know what's the crazy thing? He was, man, And I know a lot of those guys are probably on the police
for us. I'm from a while, man. I only have one counterman with the claim man in my life, right, I've never had a white are in one of the Arian gangs. Do nothing to me in my life. Everything I fight I've ever had always been I guess another brother. Man. Well, that's because we don't want to see each other with nothing. And if we see if I see what you got, and I know, well, I'm just too lazy to get out there and go get it, then I'm gonna have
to figure out how to get it from you. That's the easy way for us, Like a lot of us look at wrapped as an easy way out. That's a fix, you know what I'm saying. I mean, we just gotta learn how to just just like hard work like our grandfather's you know what I'm saying. Uh, My mom's just her with five you know, she worked at General Motors and she she took it in every day. You know what I'm saying, regardless of how we how we the ship that we did when she was going to work
and all that other ship. And you know we don't have that today. You know, some of our some of the mothers, is hanging out with their kids, kicking and drinking and doing this. We need to bring back the structure, whether it's daddy and the motherfucker or not. You know what I'm saying. You know, I was one that truly blamed all of my anger and unimosity out on on on my daddy. You know what I'm saying, because that's
how I felt, That's how I grew up. But just listening to my my grandfather and you know, telling me that you gotta be this way, you gotta learn how to do this, You gotta know how to do something. Regardless of so I can pretty much do any motherfucker thing, but I still went that route. You know what I'm saying. What I'm saying is we got choices. Wait till you get in your forties to make those choices. We need to do it now we are they're killing each other
for nothing. Well that's that's what I say. James when I say that we need to organize, man, and again, I'm gonna keep repeating this. I would never tell nobody to go out and fight the police. That's a battle you're not go in. But we have to be way more structured and what we're doing, man, it has to be more like, you know, the thing else somebody does something, the guy gets killed. For me to go out there and bust tending windows out in Long Beach Boulevard ain't
gonna do a thing. It ain't gonna bring them back, you know what I mean? We have to really learn how to protest. If we go protest. When I say protests, that means um, if it means boycotting certain certain stories. If it means um not supporting this right here and doing this and making making our voices heard. That's how you that's how you make an impact. Because I'm gonna tell you one thing. I got a whole bunch of Jewish friends, right So I'm not saying this. I'm not
anti Semitic at all. I have nothing against Jewish people. But you know one thing I admire about them. If something happens wrong, they would boy cocked your ass and what not supports you, and it's unified. It's not like because I remember what was the guy um Gucci? Who was that? What was that Gucci that did the racist the racist stuff? What designer was that? Somebody helped me out coming Hill figures? Yeah it was okay, okay, so
it was Gucci. Did you know I saw a bunch of black people man for a whole month, or I'm not wearing no Gucci next month. Everybody had the Gucci belt so on, everybody had their Gucci scarves on, everybody had their Guci bags. It would be not no Gucci in my house because that and that's just what I'm trying to tell you. We accept it at some point. We don't stay mad loan. We accepted when they do it to us. We accept that ship. I'm gonna tell
you saying we don't. We don't say fuck it just thinking we said fuck it today and stop going into these liquor stores and a nown liquor store in my neighborhood with black owns. Just just say fanstance. We stopped going to these goddamn looking stories, say we stopped eating Domino pizzas and all that ship. Somebody in this mom probably saying, damn you asking for too much. That ain't
too much, that's not too much. You starve their ass out, they leave, You get the same goddamn building, open up the store, and and and now we have some black owned ship. But there's other ways to do it exactly though. But man, we we really have to let our because I'm gonna tell you, man, black people, African Americans spend more cash in this country than any other race by far, and there's using money that we don't even have. We
go to bill brands support them up. You here brothers rap about um and you know that's one thing I gotta give jay Z. And then they said, forget rapping about all these You know, they saw we was they was increasing sales and stuff, you know, champagne, more wedd and stuff like that. They said, why are we Why are we talking about all that? And we're not getting the money from it. You know what I'm saying, We need to really start man um letting our making our
economic presence feel. We need to start making our our presence just felt period, man, because the things we have a whole bunch of powerful people in this country, man, but a lot of people just choose to stay quiet because they don't want to mess stay money up. That's not the mentality that's gonna work. Man, That's not gonna work no more. We have to start one thing to see people talk about jay Z. One thing I say about jay Z, every major calls, it has been about
he's been in the mix Am I right? A wrong? He's been a mix up and he's put his money behind it. Man, we all have to start. Man. Everybody is not meant to be no soldier, right, but it is. We have to stick together man at some point, because like I told you, it's not even about being a soldiers. Is about politicking yourself. Is is about understanding how far we have came and then just really realizing our situation. We're stuck in the fucking mud. How do fun? How
do we get out of the mud? How do we get out of it? Out of this rut w in? We gotta stop allowing people to do it's any kind of way and accept it. You kill my kids, it's only right there, we kill your kids. You gotta have some type of mentality like that. I don't care what everything that happened to us, We accepted all the way to murder all the way to prison. Everything you go to prison is the same ship in prison that you're getting on the street. You know, it's we we we
just caught in the middle work. Everybody hate black people, Yeah, everybody. You know what, man, And I say, Man, And I think it's the thing, man, because they may look at us and say man, when they hate each other. You understand what I mean. They hate each other. They do everybody. You know, they do everybody that way. Because I'm gonna tell you like this, man, people do what they are allowed to do. And I'm a firm belief in that. Man.
People do what they allow. If they know that a certain yeah, if they know that a certain group is gonna raise Hell, they don't bother They don't bother man. Because I'm gonna tell you, man, I'm trying to think of what other ethnic group it is. Man, the Jewish people, man, even the Italians. Man. Certain groups when they raise hell, they make their presence feel and they don't go in their neighborhoods. You ain't gonna see no Italians running through
Bencent hursts, throwing bricks in the windows. They're not gonna do it, but they are gonna make they're gonna let it be known that they don't like what happened. You know what I mean. We need to stop spending money with certain people, man, We need to start spend breaking bread with certain people. And the thing else we get a brother that tries to establish a brand of first thing, we want to say, Oh, that's too much money. Let's
make a deal. But you're not gonna walking to the foot locker and ask them for fifty dollars off in their shoes. If they say it's the three hundred dollars, we accept them. Do it. But if it's a brother, if it's you're selling shoes, James, and you're selling shoes for two hulls a pair, Oh there's too much money. Why don't you let me get two four hundred? Like I said, we do each other so ugly, man, because everything has to be a discount. Everything has to be
a hook up, right. You know. I've had you know, even with this network, I've had situations to where I'd be in negotiations with people and when they find out I'm the owner of the company, they usually think it's one of the white guys. Ground When they find out I'm the owner, all stuff gotta change around, and I'm like, well, this is the business. She was ready to give jass up to this because you thought it was in but now this is me. You don't want to do a
fair deal, you know what I mean? So you know that that's just our goals, man, You know, we just don't. It's crazy, man to figure out the way you how to turn it around. I'm just saying that. Can't nobody out there tell me we can't fix ourselves individually? Can nobody tell me? Know him, see his problem, but he just won't do nothing about it. Can anybody say that to me? Because if I want to fix my problem, I'll be still head how and I'll be still doing
the stupid as ship on that I've been doing. But I understand where that would have got me, you know what I'm saying. And we do it for nothing. We do it because they say it's cool or we believe it's cool. Game bangon is is. It's not worth it. It's not worth it at all, especially at a time like this. If we see people killing us, that's when you stop and turn your gun the other motherfucking way. And I'm just being real about it. If they take it and take it out. They want to take it
the ship. We need to stop doing. We ain't gonna stop doing because we got the look of stoes, we got the weed and and we got those motherfucker's with that men chality, that thing. That's what we should be doing. Let's go killing niggers because they got red on. Let's go killing motherfucker's because they wear blue. That is totally not the situation. This ship we're doing. We're doing it because we're stupid. We don't understand. We ain't looking for
nothing in life, nothing good. Wait, well you know what the hills man, we sell ourselves away too, cheat man, we show for nothing. Well, you know, because it's like I was just set up and observe these brothers, and I guess right now, if you're want unemployment, for example, you're getting the extra six hundred dollars. I saw a couple of brothers saying with man, I'm not going back to work because I make more money. Were unemployment to sit at home, then I will be at the job.
And it's kind of like, so you mean you go forfeit your job to get They're like, they're not going to give you this money forever. And then I go back to work. You know. It's like, so you would rather just sit up on your ass than go to work. You think you're taking advantage of the system. You beat them, and I can ship back and do nothing for six months?
Why not? Well, man, you know the thing, they got you at home, shitting at the house and working from home, and they're giving you this extra fucking money to do it fucking ship at home. But the thing is, though, James, that's not gonna last forever. And that's what you know. You're going back and that's a trick. But but no, you got brothers actually plotting on quitting their jobs. Like they just go send you this money and their in perpetuity,
you know what I mean. And then it's like, um, we that up, Brown, I got something, my damn throu They ain't looking at longevity, They're not looking at the big picture. It's like this the thing it was like, I don't know about y'all, but man, I have to you know, I got bills. I gotta bust my ass. I gotta come up here. I know, if I want to get paid, I gotta come do shows. I gotta we gotta do these reads. When we get these reads and everything, so I have to go do it, you
know what I mean. I don't know nobody that would love to just sit that they create and collect money. But that's not a real world people like that. It's especially yeah, but that's what I'm saying. And it's like the reason I say that, Man. It ain't nothing wrong with getting under ploymer, right, but you have to strive for more. It's like, you know, my thing is this.
If you do have this time and you at home, a lot of us have immense talent, Man, think of something that you can develop on your owner where you don't have to depend on those jobs so you're not in this situation no more. Think of something else that you can do. Because I'm gonna tell you one thing, man, I see a lot of people. Man. I hear people say all the time, Oh, the Hispanic people are taking our jobs. The Hispanic people ain't taking enough. Man, they
work hard. I'm gonna tell you something. We don't our kids don't want to work at McDonald's no more. We won't do for the yeah, exactly. You know, like, um, the guy that cuts my yard, man, I've seen him go from having us in the house next door to hours to where he has the whole neighborhood now and he has this sign working in the next city over. You know, I see people. I've seen people man that that wake up every morning religiously. They't a little pick
up truck we put trash out. They're back there searching for the cans. Man. They're not waiting on the handout, because they know when they come to this country, they see the opportunity and being here, right, they have freedom, they have certain liberties. So they say, you know what, Yeah, it's gonna be rough. I'm had to wake up every morning at six o'clock and go rummicks to trash to pick up cans and everything, and I'm gonna turn them in.
But you got some people doing that making a couple hundred dollars a day, man, And that's good money, you know. But we're not gonna do it because you know what we would rather do. Oh shoot, James, you got some money on man, Let me hold Let me hold five dollars, Let me hold this. You know what I mean? We just would rather sit up and live off the fat of the land. Man at work, And it ain't no sex thing. Nothing is free, man, Like I said, we
gotta blame that on our shell. But we just we just think we're taking advantage of the system when the system is designed for you to think like that, um, the you know, the housing and all of that other ship, while ain't they give it to you because they know that chick gonna bring in the dude and he's gonna lay up in that motherfucker because he ain't got to pay no rank because the rent is cheap. They paid already,
show he cool. Instead of instead of taking the opportunity to to save your fucking money and do your thing there body stupid ship, yeah exactly, instead of kicked out the motherfucker you back to normal. You ain't got no money, So that just makes us lazy when we could just lay around. Well, you know the whole thing, man, it's kind of a form of socialism almost, man, Because I'm gonna tell you, man, the biggest thing, and I'm gonna take you the biggest danger we're facing now. Okay, they've
sent people twelve hundred dollar checks. You know what I mean. I didn't quality I wish i'd have got one. I didn't qualify for it. But they sent to everybody these twelve hundred dollar checks right, people getting these twelve hundred dollar checks. Oh, man, they're happy. You know what I'm saying, you know, sex things, free money, though, Man, it's always kicks everything. I'm gonna tell you what I really think they're setting us up for. Man. They're setting us up
to come under some form of socialism. Man. I haven't quite figured out what it's yet, man. Because the thing else, if I pay your bills for you, James, if I um pay the rent in your house, if I put the food on your table, and you know, right now it seems like it's cool. But what if I tell you a man. You know what, James, I'm paying for your rent right now. I'm paying for your rent every month.
What happens a year from now when I come to your house and I show up with the authorities and say, man, James, I heard you got the extra bed room in here, this family moving in with you? And you say bullshit, no, no, not yes, they are this my house. You're standing to my roof and I'm feeding and taking care of You're not gonna say nothing. If you resist, you will get kicked out of here. We move somebody else in there.
That's when I'll be looking at my courage like Malcolm X with that that car binge, then that my dad. You mother fucker's coming up. You're talking about moving a nothing mother mind. Yeah, but that's what socialism meals. Though. Man, It's like, I don't think that's gonna happen. No, but listen, Jamet, listen to me. A lot of people didn't think it was gonna happen. They didn't think it was gonna happen
in Cuba. You know what I'm saying is how many people got that stimulus check and and don't got a job. They know they ain't evenna get their money back, especially for month. Oh well, yeah, you know, it ain't so much about the money, James. Right now, it's about slowly getting people depending on the system. Like I'm gonna tell you right now, I know people that the generations have been on welfare. I can sell you some people in Ohio. Man, nobody in the family has never worked. That's the thing.
Daughters having babies at seventeen. The mom almost encouraged that girl. You know, if you had them two kids, that's another six hunder ducks in the house. You got generations from Grandma's to the daughter to the other daughter. They all up under this one house, shock enough, pushing out babies left and right. That's different baby daddies, man, and they
stand up in the same roof man, nobody everybody. Now, to me, that whole lifestyle, man, in that way of living is just you might as well be dead to me. But if they wanted to get rid of you and then just bring you down, what if they just stopped giving uh money like that welfare cup welfare off period, then what happened? The motherfucker's gotta get up and get a goddamn john because eighty percentities motherfucker's can get up
and work. Anyway. A lot of people don't want to work, James, because it's just like you said, if you give, if you give some people, now, it's not like everybody. Because I'm gonna tell you this, I'm not gonna see there being just blash. I'm not talking about our whole entire race. Because we got some hard working brothers and sisters out there, right, we got a lot to fix with us. Yeah, we have a whole lot to fix. And I don't think
with with with we're speaking on it. I mean ship, I ain't I ain't never said I was a perfect motherfucker. I never said that. Um, I've always said we have issues, and we got we as black people got issues. And you know, sometimes that would be the quickest thing we run to is the race, race card ship. But that's not our case. We're talking about how they take advantage of us, how it's so easy for them to kill us and and and get get off with just a slap of the is man. They have to take account
for the ship that they do, just like us. Now we have to stop killing each other. That's the first thing we got to know to bring it to them. And you know, having these kids that's doing it don't know. And I can say it's gonna be hard because I lived in their shoes for a long time. Why ship was going on in the world. I'm out here doing the same ship that these dudes are doing right now because we don't. We ain't giving the funk about that
type of ship. We're drinking. We want a party, we want to do us and at that at that age, we ain't thinking about no motherfucking police. We ain't tripping. So how do you take that that mentality and then then go back in the hood and let them see what what we see today. That's that's what we gotta
figure out. Yeah, you know, and I think James, it starts off because see, and this is what I tell everybody, man, if you really want to institute change, man, you have to be the change that you want to see happen. You have to work on yourself for It's like, um, I have a lot of friends man that tell me like, oh man, you got it so easy. You gotta good you got this. I say, Man, no, I don't. I worked hard. You I wish you knew what I went through,
the had a little bit that I have. It's you know, it's a headache sometimes and man all the time, because I mean, I'm a prime example, and I swear to God to you, I'm a prime example of what bullshit is and and and and what you get when you wipe the bullshit off somebody. I mean, we all have choices, but we have to understand that the way we live in is room. You know what I'm saying. If we don't ever understand that part, then we're just gonna be
fucked up individuals. Man. It's just not gonna work for us, and it's not gonna take one person. It's not gonna take five dred people. It's gonna take a whole lot of us to get that point across to everybody that's sitting next to us. And they need to start in the churches and church they need to They need to start where black people conjugate. You know what I'm saying. They need to get the big homies just hanging in the park with thirty motherfucker's and say check this out, Homi,
this is what this ship is. Now, this is where we're going with it. You know, these these gang troopers, these meetings, gotta step our game up. We gotta really get out there and and and and and and pass this word and get get these brothers to understand, man, we're helping these people demolish us. Exactly. We were help
and we we we are the biggest asset. Not when it comes to if there is some kind of um and I refused to think, man, that this is just some big grand agenda across the whole entire police department, because I have coach with police officers and got a couple of police officers to the friends of mine. They're good people. They don't like the stuff either, but it's just so rampant right now to where it's like even they get scared sometimes, you know what I mean, to
where it's like, man, what was these cats thinking? You know what I mean, they're making my job or not. Because when I go to the community now, everybody's gonna look at me like I'm the enemy just right off the rip, right because I've met some cool police officers man. Like, to be honest with you, I was saying, the fire police officers man that I meet for him, it's cool.
It's always that one dude that's a little extras. It's a whole lot of good ones out there, and it's and it's like I said, we look at it as if if if this one is shifty, then all of them, you know, one one sport apple suns up the whole much. Uh. In my case, that's not true. I know a lot of good police officers out there retired and still working. But I mean they hands is full too, especially one thing they can't do is go against another police It's then your job is really fucked up. You can't get
out here in the streets and do your job. So everything and everything that we do, which all of these cash and understand is a protoculture. Every motherfucking thing we do as soon as we wake up in the motherfucking morning, we do something the same motherfucking way. We get up, we pull up on our pants, we brush our teeth, we're going there and get something to eat, we lie to motherfucker's cigarette and taking ship. Whatever the case might be,
it's the same thing. It's the same thing. And motherfucker's just really got to understand, man, that that we're losing and it's getting worser and worser, and then at some point in one day it's gonna be too late for us to stand up with our motherfucking guns and say we need to take a stand. It's gonna be too late. It's gonna be too late for us to to run to Fairy Khan and ask for guidance. It's gonna be too late to run to our Martin Luther King's the
other day in shape. We need help, We need y'all got to help us do this. We need to get on that ship. You know what. The scariest part about it deals though, Um you gotta remember, man, I know we're getting older now, man, because Martin Luther King Malcolm X, those black leaders that we have for so long ago. Man, fairy Kind is eighty years old, I believe seven or eighty years old. Who was the next leader. And I'm not talking about no punk ass rapper. I'm talking about, like,
you know, a football player, who was that next black leader? Man? To really this go like, where's our black leadership that you understand what I mean? It's like, you know, if you go back to the sixties and the early seventies, Man, we had m Martin, Luther King, Man, we had Malcolm X. We had all these great black figures, you know what I mean that spoke for us, that kind of like
you know, spoke for us, man. But now we don't have that, man because we stuck on bullshit kind of like, Man, maybe maybe that's the problem because in the hood, we ain't looking at the those type of figures to be our leaders. Our leaders was with the big homies in the hood. Our leaders was the homies that sitting on the porch, are sitting in the seat and just shooting the ship with you. Now them them our leaders. Then when the motherfucker's that can stop all of this ship
that's going on in the neighborhood. Now, I'm not looking for Morn Luther King. I'm not looking for Malcolm X to talk a certain kind of way. I want to hear your language. Your language is the same type of language. I understand your language, your language because I speak it. You know what I'm saying. I hear Mark Luther King, I hear Malcolm X. But they didn't. They not. They think ain't ain't ain't hood. You know, the thing and the way. That's what makeing Malcolm X so powerful because
Malcolm X was a thud. I'm gonna had to keep you one, honey. That's that's how That's how it was. You know, he was a thug. So I think that's why he resonated with the people because it has to somebody like I'm not talking about um. There's nothing wrong with it. There's nothing wrong with the college educated man out there righting for people. That's one aspect of it.
But you adent right, we do have to have someone to emerge from the communities man and be a voice, because whether you face it or not, you kind of a voice. Not for a lot of people, A lot of people listening to what you say, a lot of people contact you and say, hey, you've listened, because I truly believe leaders are leaders ain't creative. Man, they've chosen you know what I mean? I think they just they just pop about the bush and it's time to just
like me. I felt that if if I can talk to reach one up, one person, any individual out there that that that living or live the life I lived, or trying to be that that gangster, it ain't worth it. If I can reach him and I can get him and he can tell me, Man, you changed my life. James is good. That's why I get up every Wednesday and come here because it's working. Everything I've axed for, everything that I got on my knees and pray for,
it is working for me. And I have people validating that every fucking day through messenger, through through a text, through a phone conversation. So I'm man, I'm just so like exactly, and you became the change that you wanted to see, you know what I'm saying. You started first, and now it's restling with people. You know, it's like it's a lot of um good brothers. What was the brother we had on one our early shows, Chico Chico? You know, I want to have him back on again.
He's the guy that's doing incredible not trying to do what he's doing incredible stuff for the community. And that's the thing. You've got people that's we do have brothers that's not talking about it, man, but they're doing it like Chico that's doing it. You know, that's really you know, making the change for theirselves. And what I'm saying, just for instance, the way Chick go it is getting the mmates out of prison and and and converting the older
guys and now they're working men. They're looking at the game, bang and ship and he got bloods and crips uh and doing brickmates in or whatever the case might be. Those are older guys. What I'm saying is what we need to do is doing reversal from what Chico doing. Let's get the younger guys. That's why I say, let's open up shop and teach these young cats how to do breaks. You know what I'm saying. You start off, you come here, you're doing four hours, whether it comes
to eight hours. They used to do it in the schools, but they took it away. So what if we're doing it now. We're doing the same thing that Chico doing, which is great. But we're going to the kids. We're going to the kids. We're walking into these juvenile uh systems and we're teaching them right there. Now, they got a better alternative when they when they think about getting about the lost Madrinas, you know what I'm saying, they see a different directions. But I mean, we could talk
about that type of ship all day. This is why I say ship don't get done because it ain't nothing but a conversation. And these people you gotta figure way around them when they put a stop to it. They don't want us to to teach our own people how to live right. Yeah, and it has to become more in the conversation. Man. I promised myself. Man, you know, because I'm a praying person. I believe in prayer and also believe in works too, because faith with our works
is useless. You just you know, getting on your knees for nothing. I told my I've made a promise man to God. I said, Man, when I get opportunities, man, I'm gonna try to bring as many qualified people as I can. People us brothers that want to make a
change theirselves. I'm gonna find something for them. To do, whether it beating them by getting behind the camera, whether it being them being in front of a camera, whether it be a person that when once we can start are going back on the road, they could come on the road and do some road management stuff. UM. As far as showing young brothers that want to get in
the business. They might not like your nephew for example, it may not be quite ready right now, but kind of mentor them to show them how to do what they want to do. Because he may come in and say, you know what I decaid, I don't want a podcast necessarily, but I want to produce one, you know what I mean. And we have to, man, we have to start being that change that we want to see people become. We have to give our brothers, you know, opportunities, just like UM.
I was talking to Um Junior from on the line and he thanked me. Man. He was like, man, this is big to me and me stuff like that don't be nothing because it's just me just doing out the genius of my heart, you know what I mean. I didn't expect nobody to give me no praise or no bunch of thank you or nothing less. You know, Let's get the work and this goa work out. You know what I mean. I say the same thing, But you
gotta look at the opportunity that you give. And I said, I said all the time, Man, how do I tell you I appreciate it? Because if I would have never did the podcast, I've still been I might have been doing some other ship or just doing interviews. But I don't think I would have ever got tired of talking or are being you know, James, I forever would have been Marbel James, you know, doing those interviews. That's how people that's their perception when they see me talking here.
I'm not morm James. I'm James mcdownald. You know what I'm saying. And the opportunity is good. So I mean, you do more than what you want to give credit for. Oh man, it's very much. I tell people all the time that's why I don't do interviews. People ask me every day to do interviews and stuff. I don't do them because it's about the thing about me. It's about the team. It's about us that we've built and you
know it works in Unison. Like I tell Brian all the time, I can't do what I do with our Brian, I can't do what I do. I can't do what I do without young mouth, without crazy Bone. It's a team.
And in order for the body to move, the legs gotta be you know what I'm saying, The legs and the head and everything else and arms gotta work in community, un And that's a good thing because all this ship we're talking and all that ship we're saying, I mean, I'm dealing and just to be around straight black men, you know it, ain't you have your problems, but you ain't. You don't. You don't feel degreed, you don't feel the animosity, you don't feel no hatred like I gotta go pop
this nigger neck. Me and me and Reggie we get mad, But that's the part of that type of ship. Go and you really don't have I can't get ten black men in the room to be on the same page and understand each other and are are my whole thing? If if I want to eat, but everybody got to shit at the table with me, we all gotta get it. You know what I'm saying, ain't know there is no need to to being to being a working by me where we gotta fight. Yeah, for sure, it's not necessary
at all. And that's the thing, Man, I believe greed is the biggest like oh, look ahead and smoke, man, Greed is our biggest enemy. Man. And and the more we realize, Man, I've always had the um the ideology man, that teamwork, make the dream work. If you as a team. Man, if if we make a hundred dollars, Man and we all got twenty of piece, we're good. You feel what I'm saying. So, So the thing is, that's the mentality
you have to have, Man, what saying I mean? I mean, you know, we could do these shows, we could teach, We could teach, but it's making sure everybody learned and understand you know, the game. And if we all learn and understand the game, there is there. That's just something else we didn't conquer. We didn't took over the podcast game. It's black men actually knowing what the fun they're doing in here teaching. Man. I didn't. I didn't learn shipped
from my pops, my props. Ain't they never taught me one thing. It's my granddaddy. I give my I give credit to my grandfather. Without that, I've probably been just uh not knowing how to put a bike together that. I mean, I give credit to my grandfather and he taught me well. And I think we could take the same thing that your grandfathers and some cats, these cats that did have a father taught them, and just teach
it to these kids that don't have it. So we as black men need to stop saying and and speaking on all these excuses we don't have, because to me, it's a responsibility. And I say this to anybody, man, nobody owes you nothing. But if you were a brother out there and you have certain resources and if you're keeping them all to yourself without putting nobody on, shame on you. Shame on you. But that ship don't last long. You know, he ain't shame on you, and the same
on you. You know one thing I do want to address before we go. I don't get a whole bunch of it, but I get a whole bunch of people asking me about what happened with Alex. Well, Alex just shouted too and I can't be mad at him to to move on into other adventures. Adventures. So if Alex wanted to do what Alex wanted, Alex has grown. Man, you know what I'm saying, And I just hope whatever he's doing, he happy with what he's doing exactly. We don't have no eel wheel tours him. So I'm gonna
say this. This will be the first and last time he addressing it. We have no eel wheel against Alex. Um. Alex is doing what the hell is he doing? And we wished him much success, Reggie, as you heard just on the phone, he would be back. Um, when do you say, to the end of next month and the next month hopefully hopefully little fingers crossed in the next month. And that's it right there. We don't have nothing else to say. And that's the thing Black people, everything about
controversy all the times. Sometimes people just move on not at all. It's all good. And Alex, I wish you well more power, you know, but I mean, you know, you know, everybody got their own path and will and I and I think if if if you jump up and choose to go left it yeah, you know, but you know, um, but there's a phrase to dine on self. Be true. Just like he has to be true to himself, we have to be true to ours. And with that, thank you for sitting with us through this other episode
