Dr. Nick Mansfield enlightens us about the lives of working people during the industrial revolution, and how we came to adopt the 8 hour/5 day working week we know today. Nick talks about the working class visionaries that were ridiculed during the Victorian era, but who paved the way for new ways of working. We discussed the importance of collective bargaining and unionism, and the importance of democracy.
