Episode description

In Lebanon, the Iran-backed terror group Hezbollah has suffered an attack targeting their fighters, medics, and associates. The method of attack: the explosion of Hezbollah members’ own encrypted pagers. Early on Tuesday, the pagers Hezbollah fighters carry to communicate were detonated, killing at least 9 and injuring more than 2,700 people in what their own organization calls their “biggest security breach.” Seth Frantzman, Adjunct Fellow at The Foundation for Defense of Democracies and Senior Middle East security analyst at The Jerusalem Post, joins the Evening Edition to break down this complex attack on Hezbollah and why it will likely cause panic and fear within the terror group’s ranks.
