If you could leave a review, let me know what you've been enjoying so far and it also is fantastic and helps other people to find the show and benefit from this podcast. Cracking on today with the second episode on impact and I'd like to go through the different levels on which we can impact. I feel that most of the time we focus on one level of impact, whether it's one on one or whether it's with a group. And we don't actually look at the different range in which we can impact other people, make a difference in people's lives. When you think about impact, there's two different ways to look at it. You can either think about business impact and contribution from a business perspective, but also impact in your private and personal life. Because even if you have a job that maybe doesn't contribute as much to the world as you would like it to, this doesn't mean that you can't impact the world through your private life. So first let's discuss a bit the private life of things because most of the episode will be dedicated to contributing in a business perspective. So coming back to how can you impact on a day to day in your private life, there are different angles you can take here. One of them is to look at the people that you have in your life, your family, your close friends and think what is it that you can contribute? How can you support them? A fantastic question for this is how can you create value for them? And different people need different things. Some people might just benefit from you listening to them. They might just need someone who's a really attentive listener. And just by listening to everything that they have to share and want to discuss, you are making a tremendous difference in their life. So don't neglect the small things such as listening, which isn't a small thing, and things that you can do daily, weekly, regularly to support others. Another example would be if someone is sick and helping them out and cooking for them, for example, and all these daily sort of actions. There might be some that you do regularly and there might be some that you haven't considered. So I invite you now to think about it. Think about the different people in your life and ask yourself how can you serve them? How can you contribute to their happiness? And there are several reasons why this is absolutely essential. One of them is that by contributing and making an impact on other people's lives, you're literally making the place a better world to live in and that's obviously a fantastic thing. But another reason is because this will support your own well being and this is one of the topics that I think people misunderstand maybe or don't unclear about and it's that if you are actively contributing and impacting others, you benefit just as much. So even if this is taking you extra time or maybe some of your energy, you will get that 20 times back. Because essentially we like to be kind, we get a bunch of nice hormones such as oxytocin and it just makes us feel good and it gives us purpose to our life and meaning. So don't forget the importance of contributing to others and you probably will notice that when you become more self centered and spend most of your time and energy on yourself, it doesn't actually do you that much good. So that was the first point about impacting and contributing on a personal level in your personal life. Let's look at the business side of things because this is really what this podcast is about. But I wanted to make sure I also covered private Life podcast is really about how you can impact in your business. So here's an opportunity for you now to reflect on the different ways you are using your business to impact, contribute and make a difference. This might be linked to your mission, vision and purpose or it might be just part of your services or your products. What are you doing and how is this impacting others might also be interesting to reflect on. What types of emotion do you want people to have when they have access to your services, to your products? Do you want them to feel curious, excited? Happy? Fulfilled? Peaceful? Depending on the type of services and products that you have, you can generate different emotions in people. How would you like them to feel when they work with you or when they receive one of your products? This is an interesting approach because we don't often reflect on the emotions we want to generate in people and yet impacting. A huge part of this is to make people happy and happy is a form of emotion or a series of emotions. So looking at how you want to impact people and what emotions you want to generate in them and once you're clear on this, you can look at the different levels of impact. What I mean by this is generally, especially in today's online world, we have several sort of pillars in which we impact others. For instance, there are free resources, this might be your branding and social media, maybe a podcast like this one, or YouTube channel, maybe you write a blog regularly. These are all of the free resources that people can find, people can use, they don't need to invest any money, maybe a bit of time and you are contributing on a free level. This is always a fantastic thing to have because there will be people who can't afford your services or your products and by having free resources you are supporting their growth, supporting their happiness and fulfillment without them needing to invest any money. So this is a fantastic first level of impact. Second level of impact would be one that's cheap but not free. So you might have a community that's only a fixed small membership fee a month, maybe you have a patreon page, maybe you have online courses for $50 or $100. And these courses are a little more in depth, a little more elaborate than the free resources that you send out, but they're not as expensive as your exclusive fees and one on one work, for instance, this works more with service type businesses. So if you have product type business, in your case it might be cheaper products or the first type of products that people can access at a cheaper range. And it's really important to think of all of these different levels, because you want people to be able to enter your world at any stage, whether it's through free resources and on social media or like I said, blog, podcast, YouTube, or at a second level, where it's a course or a little more elaborate, but still very affordable. And then you have a more exclusive one on one service or maybe a group service and that's your most relevant expensive offer. And what happens is when you have all of these different levels, the free resources, the paying, but cheap and affordable and then the more exclusive offers is you're really serving all people and all these different levels and this helps people to enter your world. They can enter it at any level and you will always be impacting them. And I remember when I first thought about marketing as a form of impact and contribution, it really changed the way I thought about it, because it was no longer just a way to get people to my exclusive offers or VIP, but it was also simply a way of contributing and helping other people, even people who can't afford your services. And I once read a blog post that said that your marketing is what is the way in which you impact the most people because there's only so many people. For instance, in my case I can coach, there's only a maximum of people I can coach or even in a group community. But through marketing or through doing this podcast, I can reach a lot more people and support and contribute to a lot more people. So don't neglect the free resources side of things. So, to have an overview of today's episode, first look at your private life and the ways in which you are impacting and contributing to people in your life. Look at how you can better support them and what value you can create for them. And then on the business side of things, look at all the different levels. How are you contributing and impacting people on the free basis? What's your next sort of affordable but not really exclusive offer, and how does that support people in their growth or in their progress or in the type of business that you run? And then what's your most exclusive offer? And are people very clear on how they can enter here? And is it visible for them to actually access this podcast, for instance, or YouTube or your course? So make sure that people can enter at any level. I hope you've enjoyed today's episode and that this helped you to think about how you can impact people and the world on all different levels. And once more, if you find this podcast useful, highly, highly would appreciate overview. Makes the podcast more visible for other people to find it and it makes me also super happy though.
