[00:36] We continue this series on tea and pi more time, energy and attention for greater profit, impact and expertise. And on today's episode, I would like to discuss the Ripple effect, which is the way in which your impact has so much more of an influence than you are aware of. The Ripple effect basically says that if you impact one person, that person can then influence and impact the lives of so many other people and therefore that first action has a ripple effect. Let's look at specific examples. If you are a coach, like I am, and that you impact and transform the life of one of your coaches or clients, these are the type of results that can happen if you're supporting them. For instance, to improve their work life balance, spend less time in their work and more quality time in their relationships and family. How do you think this will impact their partner? How do you think this will impact their family? They'll start to see that your coaching client is spending more time at home, more time with the people in their life, more time with their family, and this might make them feel happier or more peaceful. And then think of the partner of this person who's suddenly feeling happier because their partner is more often at home and doesn't work so much. How will this person show up at work? And if she or he, depending on the partner, shows up more happily at work, how will this impact their colleagues? And I know this seems like a long winded or strange way to look at this, but if you really think about it, how often has someone made a difference in your life and you've taken away that lesson and shared it with someone and that's made a huge difference on their life? Or how often have you read a book and you've implemented some of the key principles in there and notice how that has changed you and that has impacted your relationship? I remember that in one of my coaching courses, the trainer explained that when you transform someone's life, you are transforming the whole system. And by system she meant the people in that person's life too. So when one person changes, it changes the people around them and this just happens naturally. There's really nothing as a coach, for instance, or business owner, when you're supporting others that you need to do. This is just something you need to be aware of because it will happen. And you might be surprised, for instance, if you have different services as a business wants more coaching or mentoring or this type of business, you might be surprised to hear the results. They might start to say their partner is feeling calmer or their children are acting differently, or things will start to move and shift around them as the person changes. And this can be explained through emotions that are contagious and transferable, but also just different behaviors induce different behaviors in other people. For instance, if your coachee or client normally acts in a certain way and is highly impatient, maybe that triggers some of their friends and they get annoyed with it. But then if the person learns to be more patient suddenly, maybe the friends don't get annoyed as much and that will change their behavior. So our behavior has an impact on people around us. Our way of thinking impacts the people around us. The sort of things we share and we discuss will impact the people around us. And this is something you can become more aware of in your daily life, every single day. Notice how if you come home in a bad mood, this shifts the mood in the household. Notice how if you share something insightful or inspiring or motivating, this motivates people around you. And as humans, we really are meant to share all of these things and to influence and impact each other through what we communicate. So this is also an invitation not only to see the ripple effect of your work and be aware that even if you think you're just impacting one person, you might be impacting ten or 100. And then the ripple effect continues. So don't neglect the work you're doing, even if it's on a smaller scale. That's one thing. And the other thing is to be more aware. Be more aware of how your own behavior, your way of thinking, what you discuss, how you discuss it, the tone in which you speak, all of these things do impact people around you. This is just a proven, proven thing. It's something that you can't afford to neglect. Because if you want people around you to be happy, if you want to be happy, if you want the world to be a more peaceful and happier place, then the way you show up each and every day the people you talk to, how you talk to them, how you greet people, the respect and kindness you show to people all of these things have a tremendous, tremendous effect. And they will shift people's lives and they will shift people around you. And it will have so many more consequences than you are aware of. The number of times that someone has said that one comment or sentence or thing that I told them or book I recommended had made such an impact on their life and changed their life tremendously. And for you it's a detail. But if you build the habit of showing up positively, of spreading love and kindness and honesty and joy around you, it will come back tremendously and also just make you feel happier, I think. Because from what I've noticed, from the way I live and aim to live every single day, if we spread our joy, our magic to the people around us, we also feel happier. Because then we are focusing on what's positive in our life. We're focusing on what we're enjoying. We're focusing on emotions that spark our energy and make us feel great and inspired and excited about life. And so by wanting to show up in that way and by generating this energy and these emotions in you, not only are you impacting people around you, but you're also impacting yourself and making yourself feel happier, more fulfilled, more peaceful. That this is the essence of the Ripple Effect. And in the case of your business, you can start to analyze and think and look. If you're impacting ten people, start to try and see and maybe measure even. How is that impacting the lives of others? You can also just generally either ask them or invite them to share. For instance, I often say in this podcast, if you found this episode useful, feel free to share it with a friend or family member. This is a typical example of encouraging the Ripple Effect, something that is helping you can help one of your friends or one of your family members. And this is something I practice in my daily life. I know that when I'm speaking with my partner and I've listened to a podcast or something that I've found really inspiring, I will share it with my partner and tell him about it and encourage him to listen to it because I found it tremendously insightful. And the same goes with books. I recently recommended mindful self discipline to my husband. That's a fantastic book. I actually interviewed Giovanni Dieseman on this show. Fantastic guest, and really, really love his content. And now this is helping my husband to deal with these types of topics and to grow and progress in this area too. So everything that you learn, everything that you feel is helping you, is changing you, is transforming your life or your business on any scale. You can share this and you can share it proactively and be aware of it and notice how great it feels. First of all, to see the Ripple Effect and see how your own growth is transforming people around you. And that's one way of doing it directly through sharing inspirational content or motivational or insightful or any form of content that you find has changed your life in any way. And the other way is just how you show up. So it's the emotions you generate, your state, the type of topics you discuss, the way you act every single day, this will inspire and change people around you. This is why if all of your friends exercise, you're more likely to excise that's the same. There's also the sort of peer group effect, but you can generate a healthy and fulfilling ripple effect around you if you have healthy and fulfilling habits and ways of thinking and actions. So this is a ripple effect. It's absolutely fantastic. It just shows that it's worth working on your self growth and on your own fulfillment to impact and inspire other people around you to feel great also and also enjoy life at a higher level. Thank you so much for tuning in today. If you found this episode insightful or useful, as I said, you could share it with a friend or a family member that you think could benefit from it or any of the other episodes before. And if you haven't done so yet, I would highly appreciate a review because it supports the podcast. It supports me to show up every day or every week to do these podcast episodes, and it also helps people to find the show and spread the ripple effect. Thank you once more for tuning in and wishing you a great day.
