Welcome back truth seekers from around the world. It's time for a very brief and impromptu edition of the Flat Earth Files. On this Sunday morning, December third, rainy and cold, December third. The chickens are out building an arc. Not sure what to make of that, but seriously, just wanted to take a few moments to reflect on last night, now that I've had some time to digest it and look back through some of the clips. Again.
Our one was just a lot of back and forth, but really the highlight of the night was the beginning of the second hour, the one hour and forty minutes that Pastor Odele was actually given to give his lecture, and he did a tremendous job using both the Bible and again in the episode last night, I cited all the verses that Pastor Odell quoted versus what Pastor Locke
did, and really was almost five to one. But you also have to take the time to explain some things to someone who is completely new to Flatter Earth. Right, you can't just come in and start quoting Bible verses. You do have to explain some things about Antarctica. Right, It's not on the bottom of a ball, it's actually the circumference of our flatter earth which retains the water, and how the north pole is the center, everything away
from it is south. There are a few things that you have to explain so people do understand and are able to make those connections with the Bible verses. And Pastor Odel did a tremendous job. Also another highlight was that he did get some video clips of people, you know, each one was two or three minutes about how they came upon flatter Earth, that it brought them back to God. Those were tremendous testimonies that everyone in the congregation was excited
about. And then you know, at that point it was nine to forty pm Eastern time. The debate had been going for two hours and forty minutes, and Pastor Locke came on and he was very loud, fairly disrespectful, disrespectful at times, and again being louder doesn't make you right. Many people noted in the YouTube chat on Facebook and in some of the emails I got, Pastor Odele's microphone was a few decibels lower than Pastor Locks. Was that intentional? I don't know. I can't say, so I'm not going to
speculate any further on that. But you know he at the like the four hour mark, Pastor Odell came back on to give a rebuttal, and you know Pastor Locke became very belligerent. And this is the last literally sixty seconds of the debate. And this is when Pastor Lock tossed Pastor Odel. For those who haven't heard this year, give you the scriptures. He gave you
his version. It took place somebody else's burden. No, no, this is non seal came up with your scriptures and gave your interpretation of them. I gave. I gave you the Bible interpretation of the Bible. I gave more Bible than you did, for a fact, right there. All right, so really that's a fat well. I'll tell you what how about how about in your rebuttal, I'll keep my mouth shut and you tell me how wrong I was about your misapplication of the ring song in Joke chapter thirty eight.
First of all, hello, is it sunrise or not? Not? Not at all? I don't agree, purty is Mike off, get out why you're a Bible denier. You're a Bible denier. You're a Bible denier. That is ridiculous, Bible denier. Just get out. So that's what happens when you're losing an argument, you shut down. You're a Bible denier. Get out to another pastor whom you invited to your church, and a great portion of the congregation where people who respected Dean Odle, who came to
support him. Not just it shouldn't be again, when you're in the house of God, it should be able to have a conversation in something like this. And that's why it was so important. When you go into something like this you have a moderator or very This is, you know, rigid structure of how things are going to work. Now Pastor Otle's defense, you'll hear in a clip I'm going to play in a little bit that he said he even has the text messages where the original agreement was. Finally, he said
he'd been trying for a week to get the structure from him. Each speak for an hour, each rue butt, and that's it, right, and that makes perfect sense. Each speak for an hour, each rebut for fifteen minutes, two hours, thirty minutes, perfect time. Everybody has plenty of time. And again, when explaining flat Earth for the first time, to people. It's very time consuming. There's a lot of things biblically and maps and flight paths in Antarctica. There's a lot, and there's only so much
people's brain can handle at one time. It has to be that's why we talk about breadcrumbs on this program now. When this announcement was first made by Pastor Locke, I think it was November two and they said, you know, we're going to get flat earthers down here and speak and this that I immediately reached out and I said I'd like to be a part of this,
because originally it just wasn't Pastor Lock versus Pastor Odel. I said I would like to be a part of this, and I said my little resume, And it took two weeks for them to respond, and they said, you're welcome to come and set up your podcast, but as far as speaking, we have that covered. If you have any questions, further questions, let
me know. And that was from Cassandra Ellis, the executative Assistant of Global Vision Bible Church, and again that was November sixteenth, and I replied immediately the next morning and I let them know, listen, I'm not driving forty five minutes. I'm driving seven hundred and fifty miles. I need to know the logistics of things when I get there. Can I come in early and set up and interview people? Or do I have to stand out in the parking lot? Oh wi fi? Yeah, all this thing? If you're
traveling seven hundred and fifty miles. I'm you know, I'm a detail oriented got to begin with. And I just thanked them. I said, have a great weekend, and I just basically asked, can I get a phone number to Can I chat with somebody on the phone for just a few minutes before I commit to, you know, spending all weekend traveling and going through
these things. And once again it took her another It was this eight days for her to reply back, and at that point it was the week of And I'm just you know, when you get older, you trust your gut a little bit and something It's like, man, you can't even reply in
a timely matter. I'm just going to watch it from home, and in retrospect, I think I'm pretty glad that I did, just because of the fallout at the end, and I don't want to be that kind of reminded me of what happened in our church, you know, back in the eighties, the divisiveness within the House of God and the split and the feeling that I didn't want to be a part of. And again I'm not blaming Pastor Odele for this whatsoever. Again, Pastor Locke invited Pastor Odele to give his
thoughts on what he believed in, and he did it. He cited his work both biblically and you know, with scientific facts, with CIA documents via FOIA requests and everything else. He did a tremendous job. He was, like you said, he was firm. But in no way, shape or form did I feel that Pastor Odle was disrespectful. If anything, I thought he did a good job. Now, I was chatting with a few of our listeners, Dan and Gary. Gary pointed out to me that Global Vision
as soon as the stream was over, they deleted the YouTube video. So Pastor Locke wanted no traces of his actions like nobody else recorded it, which was kind of silly. And listen, I've done some bad episodes in my time. I don't delete them. You got to be accountable for yourself. So for him to have just deleted a four hour and a fifteen minute stream from his YouTube channel really goes to show that he's got some he's got some
confidence issues, right, he can't handle criticisms. He can't I don't know. But Gary says something that I wanted to. He said that he's going to play this off tomorrow, which is today. Right, this happens Saturday night. He's got a service today on Sunday, and he thinks that Pastor Locke is going to defend his actions, something to the effect of quote, as a pastor entrusted with sharing and defending God's word, I couldn't let what
was happening last night at the debate to go on any longer. So he thinks that's how he's going to deflect criticism today and for his actions of throwing another pastor out of his church. And then again, it will be interesting to hear Pastor Dean's take on it as well, and we'll reach out to him. We'll wait about a week a cold down period, because there's going to be hundreds of people reaching out to him over the next couple of days and I don't want, you know, my email to get lost in all
of that. In the in the jungle of emails, So I'm going to wait about a week, you know, next week sometime I'll send him an email reach out to him. I did send him an email last night, shortly after the interview happened. What time was this eleven to fifty pm Eastern time. I just told him I watched all four hours of the debate and I was sad to see how Pastor Locke treated you. You were his guest and should have been treated as such. All of us are proud of how
you conducted yourself in that environment. I know your flock will continue to grow tonight simply because of the humility and strength you showed tonight. God bless you and your family safe travels as you make your way back home tomorrow. And my signature block there. So what can you say now? One thing I did want to point out, and I'm not here to throw rocks, but at the same time, see something, say something right. I was like,
what is Pastor lock all about? Because I've I've heard about him, and like Gary said, I always kind of wanted to go to his church. My friend of forty years is a huge Elvis fan, and we were going to do this weekend in the spring. I think in March we were going to go to Memphis and see Elvis and then stop at Mount Juliet on that Sunday for worship service. Now not so much. But I wanted to do more research to find out what this guy was really about. And it
turns out. This article is from The Christian Post dated July fourteenth, twenty twenty three, three days after announcing that he's scrubbed thousands of videos from his Facebook page to quote minimize collateral damage and focus on his deliverance ministry. Internet famous preacher Greg Locke met with televangelist and faith healer Benny Hinn for the first time. After years of branding him a false prophet. Now they are friends. I was like, well, that's interesting, maybe I can find the
video, and sure enough I did. I'm just going to play about two minutes of this clip of Benny Hinn with Pastor Greg Locke from earlier this year. You're going to love this today, you are just going to love this I have with me Pastor Greg Lot. Now Pastor Greg Lot at one time did not like me, in fact, he wrote the book against me.
And today we're friends. So only God can can do that. I met him just yesterday, and he has become quite well known recently, and you're going to talk about her moving all that, but first I want you to tell him what you told me yesterday. And by the way, I really liked him on the spot. On the spot is very dynamic at one time Southern Baptist, and I look at the way he's dressed, very spiffy. Yes, hey, anyway fastor is so glad you ken? Thank you for
having me. You know, I was actually independent Baptist, which is a little bit more fundamental than oh my goodness and the Southern Baptist. Okay, yeah, literally twenty one years ago I wrote a book against you for all the wrong reasons because I had read and heard and you know, watched all the out of context clip in those days. And I literally had no affinity whatsoever for anybody in healing ministry, deliverance ministry. I thought all gifts,
miracles, tongue signs, wonder or ceased. I was Baptist. Amongst Baptists, I was an absolute cessationist. I was taught that the apostles had power. When they died, the power died with them. So when I would see you on TV, I would immediately have this bitterness that would well up in me towards anybody that was on you know, TBN or CBN or seven hundred club. And the one he called his book Blinded by Bennett, Blinded, Blinded by Benny with the white seat on the front, with the white
too. That works. How pretty flamboyant. Now, man, I love, I said, just took one day for you to rub off on me. But you know, I just I really had an absolute aversion to anything that was supernatural. H But the more I read the Bible, the more powerful the ministry of the Holy Spirit became. And so I tell people the theology of God's Word ruined my manmate theology because I was always tall. Well, you know, they just believe in experience over theology. But what I
found out is that's not the truth. You believe in experiential theology. You believe your theology that is really really yowful. He's got a church now outside in Natshville. Thousands of people, what is it, eight thousands? Well, we've baptized down thousand, five hundred people in the last three years. We consistently run a couple thousand, three thousand. Wow. Hit a tent and I saw the tent. Yeah, it looks quite nice. It's a
three thousand see tenth. But you've got to hear this man. You know, he'll talk more about what happened with him, but it's really I need administer. And he just did a movie. I like to talk about that. Yes, absolutely, but keep going. I'm enjoying it. Yeah, yeah, Really, what happened is my wife and I are from two different worlds. She was saved out of a ditch of addiction. I was saved
out of religion, so she didn't have to unlearn anything. So what what happened is we'd lay in bed at night and she would read the Bible and she would like, Honey, do you realize we have power to cast out devils, We have power to lay hands on the sick, power to speak an unknown tongue. And I'd be like, hey, I know the Bible
says that. And I'd be careful because I didn't want to back in the corner and take her fire away from her, because she was just so passionate, she was so innocent in what she was learning from the Holy Spirit, and I was like, no, well, let's throw the Jake brakes on, and I don't want the invitation to go too long. If anybody falls out, somebody's gonna see it on the live stream and fake I'm Benny hitting right. And so I just had such a scarcity and an aversion to anything
supernatural in our church. And then we began long story short in twenty seventeen. I began to systematically preach about the gifts. And I almost preached about the gifts in a way to not defend them, but to dismiss them. But the more I read, the more I could not dismiss what I knew, what the Holy Spirit was saying. And everybody was like, well you know, and there you go. I'll put the link to the clip Where
would we be without the power of God? By Benny Hill? That has six Benny Hill, Benny Hen sorry, uh, six hundred and twenty two thousand subscribers to mister Benny Hat and wow, quite the house, Benny Hill. Benny Hen has uh, keeps say Benny Hill, showing my age. I have two more clips to play. This was Pastor Lock outside of the church after the events unfolded, and here he kind of talks about how he was trying to get Pastor locked to agree to how things were going to be
run. And I'll just play the audio. This runs about two minutes and change and Barry, this is fine. I'm sure a Zachly really should all you be able to talk? Everybody? Hey listening? Fine? Yeah, just go to the youenal the Ministri's lags. But Patty then it just got the lead got we thank you for all. Thank you, Mark is Man everything people's prayer. If I'm going to tell you it was so it was so heavy trying that before getting up there, and everything's ritually heavy. But
the prayers got me through it because it was difficult. So I'm sorry. He wasn't like that, you said. I mean he turned to Mike home. Come on, you know what needs This is the beginning of praying for he had his eyes to be woken up because a lot of truth is spoken. Look here, I don't hate the man. I loved him. I praying for him. I wanted this to be useful. But I wouldn't let him bulldoze me either, because I'm I'm a man, ain't you know? So I got from but I never you know, I wasn't gonna be little
him just in any way or anything like that. I thought. I thought he would let me, he told me, but which I asked him. I begged him for the fore masts that we were gonna do. He would not give it to him. Even told me a few days ago. I have the text that he would defend me. How we we're gonna do it. Yeah, didn't tell me till I got here, is what didn't it is? So then so then you know, he tells me, well,
we will have a conversation. We'll sit it there, We'll let you speak, I'll speak, then you'll have a rebuttal, and then I'll have a rebuff. And so I made notes of some of the things he said that I wanted to, but he just he wouldn't let me do it, you know. Yeah, well it was obvious. Was obvious. He's been my pastor he's been my past in the past three years. But I have them say three year right now? Yeah, yeah, yah, Steve, it's
God, It's God's great. I'm not to look say this is I'm all a lie, this is not I mean, this was not an easy thing to do or to get ready for the feel less todays, knowing that things could get marcyly so It's been a hard thing to do, but I know the Lord wanted me to do it. And uh, I know this. I know we were already getting messages. Like the guy was watching it with his wife and he said, man, you open my wife's eyes tonight to what the Bible? Right then? See that's just yeah? Then why and
all we said things out of him throwing back? Can we do a deliberate somewhere somewhere pupils are guess why he was here. Well, we'll see what happens. Look, we'll start the people at the Marriott that are writ in the room. The lady is good, she is sweet as posh, and there you go. He again talked a little bit about what went on and he was going to continue to pray for Pastor Locke. And again he does talk about how they were trying. He tried for a week to say,
hey, what what's the format going to be? And obviously didn't work out. And I want to close in by the way, these two clips that I'm playing, thank you to Austin witze It of his YouTube channel wits It gets It. He was there last night for the event, and this is the clip where the police show up is zero prone. It's unbelievable to live out the cops here. They want to sell in the league. Yeah, now to get ran all hill there were I know, I don't know,
man, it's it's zero proof. Mister Locket, I can't call him a fire shir Yeah. Literally, the sheriffs are here, tell us we have to leave you dude, So there you go. They actually called the sheriffs. The sheriff showed up. I don't know, nine to one one,
what's your emergency. I'm surrounded by flat earther's help. I'm not sure how that phone call went, but they did call the police and Austin showed on his I'll drop that link in there as well if you want to watch the video portion, because, like I said, Pastor Locke deleted his video from his channel. Can't make the stuff up. So again, I'd love to hear your take on what went down last night. There's two ways you can
let us know. You can send us an email to the flat Earth Files at gmail dot com, or you can leave up to a five minute voicemail message on our speak pipe system, which you will find on the homepage the flat earthfiles dot com. Just click the record button. It'll ask you permission to use your microphone, and then you have five minutes at your disposal to
leave your message. And if we get enough messages and voicemails, we can put a quick episode together with your thoughts and just put in the message if you would like me to use your first name or to leave it anonymous, etc. It was a very big event. It was all over social media. There was some good things about it, and there were some detrimental things
about it as well. You don't like to see anything like that happened in a worship service like that, right, But at the end of the day, I think Pastor Locke was exposed maybe for who he is, and maybe he needs to take some time and look in the mirror and do some reflection. We'll see what happens. I'll peek in on a service later on this morning. I'm sure he will bring it up and we'll see if he's gonna
have some humble pie or if he's gonna continue on the defensive. We shall, But anyway, I just thought I would take some time to share my thoughts and a few of the clips that I found, But I'd love to hear your thoughts as well. Everybody, have a great day. APM Eastern time. Tonight our episode with Brandon will drop. I hope you enjoy that. And then Wednesday, it'll be a little later in the evening, probably about eleven, our interview with John. So I hope you all enjoy.
God bless have a great week, and until the next time when we meet my friends, we will see you
