Little another log by nobody here is at the time Welcome to the fire Pit with Matt Jonella. So I've, for whatever reason, have had some sense of reluctancy to

jump into the world of podcasts. My thought being like, you know what, everybody's got one, it's a it's a flooded market, and made me feel like, um, keep my focus on the content that we've been creating now for seven years, which has been more traditional video production, whether those were three minute travel pieces, six minute travel pieces, up to eleven minutes, and eventually growing in to a half hour show. I always thought a podcast could be, you know, a byproduct of what we were doing out

on the road. And then in the middle of one night, I had this epiphany and in large part probably inspired by the fact that the world is grounded, we are quarantined, and yet people still are interested listening to searching for a quality narrative, and made me start thinking, you know what, from a cost productions production standpoint, from a time efficiency given where we are right now and where it's all going, and also realizing that just because a lot of people

have a podcast doesn't mean I shouldn't have one. Also, just because a lot of people sing and play music doesn't mean if I'm a musician, I shouldn't jump in and try to create my voice, have my style in my in a genre that works for me. Just because there's a lot of winemakers doesn't mean if I have a passion to make wine, I shouldn't jump in and make my own label. I have a passion for telling stories.

As a production company, In the last seven years traveling the world creating this more traditional content, we've had access to some incredibly interesting and inspiring people, the likes of Drew Bledsoe, Ben Roethlisberger, Lucas Nelson, John Ashworth, Less Garland, Byron Scott, Ryan Sandberg, Reggie Sanders, Bruce Arians, Bill Core, two time Olympic medalist Seth West Scott, and we've been able to incorporate some of what they tell us into

the shows we do, but in thirty second minute, thirty second, two and a half minute clips, when in reality we're leaving some of the best stuff on the cutter room floor. It was always a bit of a frustration for us.

And if we turn everything upside down and take those stories and those narratives and put those out in podcast form, getting hyper focused on one aspect or one story, their best story, the type of story that would be told, or in that fire pit atmosphere after a full day of golf, grab a drink, a seat, settle in, and everybody starts sharing, you know, the best they've got. It

started becoming really appealing and exciting. And then I started making a list of all the best stories we've heard along the way from the most interesting people, and I couldn't stop. There was no end to this, to this list. The possibility was the possibilities are literally endless. So here we go. We're we're embarking on a new form of telling stories. We're grabbing the most interesting people we've met,

the best stories we've heard. We're grabbing a seat at a fire pit and a drink, and we're letting them stretch, We're letting them go, We're giving them the time that they need to tell their best stories. I hope you like it as much as we are excited to deliver it. And if you are subscribed, tell your friends, give us comments and feedback.
