Working with A-list actors to directing multiple feature films with Michelle Danner

Today, we welcome producer/director and acting coach Michelle Danner to the show. She has taught acting for the last 29 years and has worked privately and on set with many A-List Actors including Chris Rock, Gerard Butler, Seth MacFarlane, Penelope Cruz, James Franco, Henry Cavill and Michelle Rodriguez and many others. Later in her career, she moved into directing as well. Now Michelle sat down with our host Giles Alderson to talk about her journey in the filmmaking world: how teaching actors helped her become a better director, shooting on film vs. digital, how her first film came about, how she raises money, storyboards, shot lists, rehearsals, as well as the importance of keeping yourself healthy. She also recounts anecdotes about meeting with Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks before filming her first feature and talking to Ridley Scott on the phone.
