He treats crackheads in the ghetto gutter the same as the rich pill poppers in the penthouse. The Clearinghouse of hot takes break free for something special. The Fifth Hour with Ben Maller starts right now in the air everywhere, and you have locked in on a special edition of The Fifth Hour with Ben Maller and Danny G. Radio. And unlike
the other Friday pot becaun't. We do this thing every week, and normally we have somebody on here, a pre eminent name in the world of sports, or somebody that I just know from the radio world, and we commits and we we schmooze and that whole thing. But we thought this being a special Friday, we must look back at an out of sight night, one of the great nights
of the year, the Mallard Meet and greets. So Danny G. I consider this the post game show for those that were there and those that were unable to intend because of their schedules and whatnot, or they lived too far away. The opportunity to look back at what was a great night, and there's so many things that we have not been able to get into. I talked about it with Eddie a little bit on the radio on Sunday night in the Monday morning, but we left a lot of stuff
out because we had to get to the show. And it was just a phenomenal night and a night that I will remember for a long time. And I know Danny you had, you had an interesting day yourself getting there and all that, and just everything that happened. So this is a chance to look back, and it's gonna get into everything that happened as much as we can. And there's a few highlights of things that will focus on Stranger Danger, uh, the the the dreaded cartoon bubble,
the family affair and all that. But I thought we would begin first of all, Danny was so just some general thoughts at this hooting Nanny that took place. I was very happy with the turnout. Not everyone who said they were gonna be there showed up, but there were people that said they weren't gonna or people that we didn't even know we're gonna be there that showed up. So I thought it was great, and people came from near and far, and it was just it was a
good night. It was a fun night, and I walked in. Some crazy stuff happened right away when I got there, right at six o'clock. But uh, Danny, you had quite the journey. You could have flown, I believe, the Kansas City and you would have been able to make it wheels up wheels own time in the year by the time you got to the event. Is that accurate. That's
one crazy part about living in southern California. You know, if we lived in another state and we were on the road for that many hours, we would have crossed through like three different states. But here you just get to the next county in three hours. I started my journey on the border of Ventura County in l A County, drove through l A County, which was a mission and
a half. I left my house right before five pm, because obviously I was at the school all day, got home, showered really quick, jumped in the car, got on the freeway. I knew I was entering Karma Gedton, but it was well worth the drive. Ben. It took me two hours and fifty four minutes to get there. Oh no, oh wait too, I did. I thought it was like two and a half So two hours and fifty four minutes you got in the car. I assume you use one of the mapping apps, whether it's Maps or or Ways.
Did you use one of those or did you you did? I used the Ways app? And when you got in the car. How long did it say it would take? Initially? What was it? Was it small? Was it insignificant? Initially had said I would arrive there at seven thirty four pm, and I was like, that'll be right before halftime. But then when I was in that slow crawl right around the Burbank area which is soon going to be our home allegedly, Yeah, then the ways app started ticking up.
It went from seven thirty four to seven forty four. Then it said seven forty eight or something like that. And that's when you called me. You called me when I was like eight miles away. I was just in bumper to bumper, even though it said eight miles away. I was like, come on, man, just get me off this freeway. Already we were worried about you because some of the some of the fans were like, where's Danny g you know, Danny g said he was gonna be here, and I was like, well, yeah, he did. I don't
know what happened. I gave you a call to see what was going on, and then you you gave me the whole, the whole lap there what was happening. And I was like, wow, that's wild man. I mean it took me a little bit. I mean I don't. I don't live right near that location. Eddie made it seem
like I lived right near there. I don't. But I did not have to travel as far as you had to travel, because you spent three hours in the car to go to the events, So you could have a three hour of flight would have put you in Dallas. You could have gotten to Dallas if you loan Kansas City.
That's crazy, that's an insane And so then I when somebody had said you were there, Danny, and I didn't see you, and then I saw you at the bar, so I was like, I went up to you at the bar and I was hey, Danny, Jay, I was like, what are you doing over me? I didn't. I didn't know what had gone on. I and so you would at that point because you had shown up and then you were at the bar having a drink, and yeah, you know, I definitely needed a drink after all that traffic.
But I entered the party from the side. I was being an undercover agent checking everything out. A couple of listeners came up to me right away, and we're talking to me about this very podcast, and so we got into this big conversation about the fifth hour, and the two really nice listeners were talking to me about how this podcast is a big deal for their listening pleasure every week, and they were talking about drops and different stories that we've told, and it was a really cool conversation.
But then I asked him. I said, where's the bar at and they said, oh, over by the Chargers fans. They pointed me in that direction. I said, here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna get a quick drink and then I'm gonna come back here. And as I was ordering the drink, there were listeners at the Bard America, and so I was talking to listeners at the bar, and then that's when you came over. And the best part Ben when you grabbed me and took me over back over to the kids together there. I took the bill.
I was supposed to be signing for the bartender, and I stuck it in my pocket. Oh oh. The bartender came over and he was like, hey, uh, I know you left abruptly. It wasn't your fault. He's like, but I think you took the copy of the bill. Yeah, and I was like, oh my lad you drank and ditch do you know? No, no, no, I told him what I was doing there and made quick small talk with him when I ordered the drink. So it's not
like I was trying to ditch the guy. I just forgot all about it because you're like, hey, get over here, and so I shoved it in my pocket before I signed the bill for the guy. I resigned the check and he walked away. But way one of the listeners like, oh, you were trying to ditch the bartender Like no, no, no, no, no, bet got from the bar and so yeah. Best part about that drive though, when Eddie found out why it took so long. He was like, Hey, do me a favor.
Don't tell or Roberto how long it took you to get here, because I don't want them to be able to use that as ammunition. Oh yeah, well, listen that those guys. They had the opportunity. We invited Coop and Roberto to be there, and it was a lot of a lot of guys were like, where's Roberto, where's getting Coop? And I'm like, well, hey, yeah, And for whatever reason, it wasn't important for them to be there, and they didn't.
They didn't put a lot of emphasis on it. I mean, that's their decision, and I wish they would have done, but you know, it would have gone, but we don't get paid, and with the price of gas, ended up costing all of us a little bit of money. But it was worth it for me and I was when I was a little kid, Mary I watched Mary Poppas and she would say, super califragilistic, XBLI does it was that kind of good. It was. It was just great and but no, it was not all great day. So
I told I told this story a little bit. I believe it was the English playwright and poet William Congreve who is credited with the line hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. And so that was my first experience at this sublime Mallard meet and greet. It was wonderful life energy. People were enthusiastic big fans of the show. Was a great mix people from all different backgrounds. It was a melting pot, right, I was wonderful. So I
walk in right at six o'clock. I'm on time, Mallard by the clock for the clock, plosibly all about the clock, and within thirty seconds, hand to God. Within thirty seconds of my arrival, I am in the middle of stranger danger. I have an I rate angry woman who's little past middle age, who starts reading me the riot act. I. Her name is Dotty, which is the perfect name, right, Dotty, And she's like a fire breathing dragon. Okay, I believe the term is hen pecked, uh, Danny, I think that's
the term. Just google it if you've never heard the term. But so she comes up to me and she tells me that she does not like who. He doesn't like me, doesn't like the show because of me. She's calling me like a bully, right, She's really upset, and she she's making me out to be some kind of abrasive ruler, tyrant, despotic uh, like I've got the hammer and sickle from the old Communist party there in Russia. Like she's really angry, like,
and I thought it was an act At first. I was like, Okay, what does she think, I'm Attila the Hunt or something like that show. I thought she was kidding, but no, she wasn't kidding, Like she really didn't like.
I don't recall ever having that happened. I've done a lot of these over the years all over the country, and you'd think something like that would happen in a place like Boston, where people are known to be kind of surly, and no, it was in southern California where this woman comes up very upset, ruthless and angry and you're mean to Eddie and Brian Finlay and she's going on and that would be like being invited to a Lakers meet and greet and attacking Lebron James right when
he enters the building, the leader of the crew. There's a little lot, so she's calling me all these names. Say why she hated you so much? Well, yeah, she explained it was because I do not say nice things to about Brian Finley and Eddie that I goof on Finley. I call him numb nuts, and I occasionally will pick on Eddie as I believe the term is stickola. My grandfather would say stickla on the show we bust each other's balls. Lady, she was a finly fanatic. Yeah, apparently
we found the one Brian Finley fan. Might be related to Brian. I don't know. Maybe it was an aunt, maybe it was his mom. I have no idea. Daddy, did you call Brian to let him know you located her? Well, I'm glad you brought that up, because this woman is hopping match. She's spitting fire right, very angry. I'm trying to calm her down, you know, I'm I'm using my late night DJ voice trying to calm her down. Everything's okay,
it's just a radio show, life short. What are you doing having I'm using all that right, I'm like, why did you show up? You hate the show? I don't understand. And so then she explains to me that her brother, I don't know if it's younger or old, he was there and he's a fan of the ship. So I guess they listened together and she hates the show, he likes the show. And then she hands me this card and she tells me not to read it till I leave the event. So I put this card in my
back pocket. So I got that. I'm walking around. It's it's crazy, it's and of the people that show up to these things are are great and super fans and all that general's in the mallard militian. There's always that one percent who complete asshole, and uh, it just happened. It was within the margin of error. So so anyway, I pulled out the old cell phone and I dialed up Brian Finley and ring ring, ring ring. Uh nothing. He didn't answer, which is fine. So then it goes
to voicemail. I never leave, yeah, I never leave a voicemail. But I was like, all right, whatever, this woman's pain in the ass. So I handed my phone to Dottie and I said, here's Brian's voicemail. You can send send him a message. So she left some I don't know where she left, but she left some message on the phone. Daddy not daddy, dotty. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Dottie, and she handed the phone back to me, which is good. I
thought she might steal my phone and run away. But the good news is Danny by the end of the night, before she left, she left before the event was over. She said that at least I'm nicer in person then I am on the radio. That's a backhanded compliment if I've ever heard one. It's an old, left handed compliment from Dottie. So that was my run in with Dottie. What was the card? Was it a Starbucks gift card in there for you? Well, that's the funny thing, Danny.
So I got home, I completely forgot about the card, you know, out of sight, out of mind. I got in the car, said by to everybody, got in the car, set by Eddie, and then I'm driving back and I did not get to eat at this event because I I felt guilty that people had come from so far away. That's actually the other part of story. So in my in my head that you kind of play things out. You know, we all have this soundtrack that is like the voice that tells you that that kind of narrates
our lives. I assume you have that too, Danny. I think everyone kind of has that. Like you're you're like, Okay, here's what I'm gonna do, Here's what's going on. You're thinking in your head. Yeah, mine's voiced by Merlin Olsen. Mine's voiced by the guy from the Wonder Years. Remember that show back, and so I was, I was, it was all mapped out. I was gonna futs around with the listeners, but at some point would be halftime, and
I was gonna take a break. In fact, uh supermarket, Steve and his lovely wife had they had made She had made some tar tiram sioux, and I said, she gave me one to eat, and I was like, oh, it's not quite the time to eat. It's not my time. I've got I'm fasting, which I was. So I was, okay, I'll eat and I was gonna take a break, and I was gonna have cheeseburger in Paradise with tater tots. I was looking at the menu, the tater tots, pretzels, the whole thing, and in the cartoon bubble in my head,
I had a feast fit for a king. But what ended up happening. I was so worried about being a schmuck and not saying load of people and I know people couldn't stay for the whole thing. They were only there for a little bit. And this was, you know, this whole mock up I had going to my head, and so I didn't want to leave anyone without getting the proper amount of time if they really wanted to
spend time with me. I was honored that they would come out of their way and and pause their lives to hang out with us, and so I wanted to spend time with them, and so I ended up bouncing around. So I'm bouncing all over the place, and I'm shaking a lot of hands, I'm kissing a lot of babies, taking a lot of photos. I even signed a few autographs, which was cool, and I had a blast a couple
of our buddies from Reno. One of the guys, I think they both work at the prison, which is far outside Reno, but they're big fans of the show, and they had got clipper hats. So I saw an autograph these really nice clipper hats, which was neat, and a few other things. So anyway, I think when you thought the value of a Clippers had couldn't go any lower, exactly right. It's what is still wrong with the Clippers.
A personalized autograph. I wasn't even personalized. I just saw my name there because I didn't want to f up the hat anymore by personalizing it. But it was it was nice that they wanted me to do that whatever. So so then I got out of there, uh and ended up leaving the card that Dotty the angry woman had given me. I was. I went home. I then had to get food because I hadn't eaten, and so I went out with with the wife with the family.
We went out by the food of food. And then the next morning I forgot about the card again, and then on my way to work on Sunday night, I was like, wait a minute, what happened to the card? And I don't know what happened to it. I think I left it in the back pocket of my pants and either it got thrown out because it went in the washing machine. I don't know. So we will never know what kind of angry words were on Dotty's card that she put there. It could have been a peace offering,
though ben could have been some amazing gift certificate in there. Yeah, that's what I was concerned about. I was concerned that Dotty possibly put like a thousand dollars in there something like that. I just I just got rid of of money. But yeah, well that was the other possibility, right that. I was like, well, she put some kind of white powder and she wanted me to open it up after we leave, because it's possible that everyone would die, uh,
depending on what the thing was. And so I guess I'll never know unless it turns up somewhere, I will not know what our home girl Dotty put in the card. Very angry Dotty. But anyway, so that was that was the experience. But I give you credit, Danny. I can tell you've done more of those things because you, unlike me, I was bouncing around you like you You're like, I'm gonna sit down. You had a huddle of people around you. There was like a half circle around you, and you
were just sitting there telling stories. And that's that's a great strategy. I love it, Like rather than me, I'm the idiot, I'm running all over the place. And you had a game plan and you said, Okay, I don't know if this was planned out or just happened organically. Uh, but whether it was by design or not, but you had people that were wrapped around you like you were the quarterback calling the play in the huddle. Was great. Yeah,
it kind of happened organically. Although when I think back to some of the meet and greets that we did for Q one on four seven and the heat back in the day. That's how the night would kind of play out. We'd usually be broadcasting from a place and we would be sitting down with the microphones and the headphones, and then the listeners would kind of come over and
and that's exactly how it played out there. The only thing missing from that booth that Eddie and I were sitting at for a while was headphones and a microphone on the live. Yeah, I know, it was It was cool and I got a lot of steps in walking walking around and did you were bouncing around, which that
was cool. Though you were working the room. There were a lot of listeners that obviously wanted to take photos with you, and um, there were some that you could tell that we're a little bit on the outskirts, so they get together that we're on the shy side. Yeah, and you can relate to that, so you kind of went and pulled them in. Yeah, I am, and people some some people were sending me emails, Oh you say you're an extra, you're an introvert, but I don't believe it.
You were out there doing your thing and I'm like, well, yeah, because that was the event. But it took a lot of energy and a lot of effort for me to schmooze and go around and and I'm not trust me. You've known me a long time, Danny, Am I a social butterfly? I'm not right. You've been to parties. I hope you'll come again this year when we have the parties again. After the last couple years we haven't be able to do it because of COVID. But um, my wife is much more outgoing, she's much more of a
socializer and all that. And you know, I'll do it occasionally, but I pretty much keep to myself. That's why I went to radio. If I was an extrovert, if I was the life of the party, I'd be doing something else. Yeah, at at a perfect party, I would be behind the turntables and you'd be behind the griddle. Yeah exactly. I'd be cooking up doing something or serving you know, drinks or whatever it might be. Uh and you know, put fire on on you know, put wood on the fire
or whatever it is. But uh yeah, so but and it was it was neat. I didn't meet. We had a good mix. We had some extroverse. There were some people very enthusiastic, energetic that were gung ho to to be part of this. And then there were the other people who I related to a little bit more who were kind of, as you said, in the back and introverted and then didn't want to be the one to go up to me. And and I totally get that.
I feel you. It is so awkward and it's it's a weird thing, but it's also somewhat therapeutic, Danny to do these things, because we're so lucky to have these jobs, to work on radio and podcasting and stuff like that, and without the people who are who were there that listen and our fans and what we do, then we'd have to go out and get a real job. I wanted to ask you, was this year very first Raider tailgate? I know we had first walked in and Eddie talked
about this on your live show. There was a Chargers fan club there, but his wife's Chargers fan club. They had the pop up tent outside of this restaurant, and I noticed that right when I was parking, Wow, are the Chargers sponsoring this event? So I walk in andto the left where the bar was at there were all these Charger fans watching this meaningless preseason game. Yeah. They were playing the Saints and their last Yeah, and they weren't making any noise, and they just all kind of
look bored out of their minds. And I was like, well, it must be kind of hard to have a viewing party for a preseason game. Then I look over to the right and I saw a Raider viewing party. I was like, oh, that's cool. Whole bunch of Raider fans showed up to outdo all these Charger fans over. Yeah, there was a humongous you're not exatary. There might have been more Raider fans on our side of the bar the Charger fans on the other side of the bar.
Confused because I was doing like a spin around the place. Well, where's the mallard get together at? Yeah? No, it was it was why we well right away. Also, not only did I have Dottie who was was doing doing her thing, but Teverlely and uh she. I don't know if you met Teverley. She's a huge Raider fan. I've known her for a while because they went to Bakersfield and some of your other events. Great couple and her I think husband right she here, he was screaming you know, he
was yelling out random things as the night went on. Yeah, was communicating with the Charger fan club. It was great because it was like primal screams throughout the bar, and and it was like Mallard, you know, he's just like made no sense, but he randomly send these things out. It was very very amusing, and so we had we had told my TENDERNI that I felt like I was at the Oakland Coliseum. It was. It was crazy. Some other observations. We we had a fair amount of families
that that was really cool. Not probably by the time you got there, Danny, they had left a lot of them. But when I walked in, like early on when the shin dig began, there were a lot of guys that brought there their kids and their wives and girlfriends and hopefully not both wives and girlfriend at the same time.
But uh, but it was it was a family fair and that was really neat, Like it was really cool, and they had had dinner there and they were hanging out and I took some photos of some of the kids and in fact, one of the guys from East l A. I did a cameo for for these two big fans of the show back a couple of years ago, and I invited them to the studio and I said, once COVID's over, I want you to come in because, uh, the kids at that time, I guess he was in
the seventh grade or the sixth grade, but he's in the eighth grade now and so he's in junior high. And I was like, oh, yeah, come have your dad bring it down. We're gonna show you around the radio station. And so I saw them. They showed up. It was great to see them. Hadn't hadn't met them in person, and so I invited them down to the radio station again and I told them Danny, I said, email me because I want to set up a date. Well, have you come in and we'll coordinate it because I have
a hybrid schedule. I do the show from the remote studio my my home studio about half the time and then I'm in the main student do the mothership half the time. And so he said, shore, no problem, I'll email it. But I still haven't gotten emailed Danny, So I'm concerned. Hopefully they hear this and you can email me Ben Mallards Show at gmail dot com for that. That's B. E. N M A L L E. R. S h o W at gmail dot com and send
me a message. I know who you are and I know a few things that the general population does not know. So send me a message and will set something up and you can come in and hang out for for an hour or two and see how we do the show and behind the scenes and all that. Sad to miss some of the kids, and like Anthony and Anaheim, like you said, the families left right about the halfway point. Because everybody knows Ben the hookers in cocaine come out
at about eight p m. Bunch of hookers and cocaine. Well, that's it. That's at the after party. There was an after party. Jay Scoop had an after their party with Jay Dot and his lovely girlfriend and then the very beautiful Regina spin Psycho. Regina was there and so I think some other people. They went up to the the suite there and I had a fine time in the Holiday Inn, which was adjacent because this was right next to the Holiday and it was conjoined. It was like
the restaurant for the holiday. And I believe right, I think that's there was some con't joining all right, I'm sure And we had people and we're not naming a lot of names here because I I've tried to avoid that because when you start naming names, Danny leaves so many people out. Yeah, it's like a speech accepting an award. You might as well just say thank you to everybody that's helped along the way. You know who you are. Yeah, And I could name probably se people there, but I
leave out. I named Dottie because she attacked me. I name Teverley because she comes to all of these things. She's been a fan of the show for years and she's so supportive and she's she's in real estate. She was telling me about her real estate dealings, and I'm very curious how that works because these things are so expensive. Of the houses, like, how many houses a year do you have to sell to make a living? And she's told me that if she sells three or four houses,
she's in pretty good shape for the year. But that's that's still a lot. That's and that's one every every so, you know, every few months or so. So it's it's a pain. And it was it was really cool learning about the stories of how people found the show, and you talked about the podcast. People help them out, and it is one of the interesting things about doing the overnight show. I think it was Steve Somers, who did the overnight show at w FAN for years, who said
that radio is just more important at night. It's a little more important at night than it is for people during the day. And I completely agree with that sentiment. It just means so much more to people at night, not that it doesn't matter during the day. And trust me, the people and we both know this, Danny from being a radio The people that do daytime shows six am to six pm, they make more money than us. They get endorsement deals that we don't get. But I don't
think there shows matter as much. And maybe I'm just biased by doing the overnight show, but I've heard so many stories from people who were down on their luck, depressed, got dumped by their girlfriend, lost their job, or they're working a dead end job, a ship job, and they wish they were doing something else and they were depressed, or they had medical issues and they were in the hospital and they found the show and we were a friend, we were there friends, and so I don't know that
that happens on a daytime show. It's the same sort of sentiment that a band receives from their fans, like I Found you and I was going through a really bad breakup tracks number four, seven and ten Saved of My life. Like, musicians will get this a lot, and you're right, nighttime DJs will hear that often as well, because in the daytime there's just a lot going on, a lot of hustle and bustle, and in a way,
some radio shows are almost like background music. But when everything slows down and a listener is really paying attention and concentrating to a nighttime radio show, that's when things are calm and more quiet, and you have time to like be in your own head and you're dealing with stuff, and that's when some people need a friend. And unfortunately for you, Benny, that's when the pressure is on you and the spotlight's on you for your time slot. Well wait,
there's more, no, no, it is. I listen. It was great, And I love the guys that were like in jail and found the show and and now they're they're living a good life and they've got a job and family and things like that. That's that's really cool. There was a guy in the military, a couple of guys that were from the military backgrounds and they they found the show. They were listening for a while. Uh, you know, there's an Iraq. I guess I'll say the Rockers and the
rocker who gave me my avatar. He helped my avatar on Twitter and he said he started listening in high school. Danny, he's now in his mid thirties. Holy crowd. Uh you know, it's it's stuff like that. How about the truck drivers who were there, Oh yeah, we're great. U. Yeah. That was awesome to hear from several drivers who talked about not only our live show, but the podcast meaning so much to them. God bless truly, the paper boys, security
guards and drivers. And then also the Mason who hates our curse words being bleeped out of the podcast, even though I explained the bit to him, Ben, I mean, he knew kind of that it was a bit, but he he likes to hear the curse words. So just to honor him, last week, I left the curse within we are we are listening to your demands. Well, there were two Masons who were older. There was a kid named Mason, but there were two older Masons. There was
Mason from Huntington's Beach. And then there was also Mason from the Bay who works like Tesla, so he was there, got you, Yeah, this was the younger man. Okay, so the Mason from from northern California who made the drive down. That motherfucker you can't understand normal thinking, Mason, is your problem there? I mean, And obviously that is an affectionate tone there with that F word for you. That's right, that's right. But but again thanks to everyone that showed up.
And I would like to make this a yearly ritual. And I was talking to Eddie and on the way out, and hopefully we can do this every year, maybe around the same time, possibly at the same location, who knows. Maybe we'll even make this like a big event and see if we can get promotions involved Danny, and see if we can get some some sponsorship dollars for a restaurant or something like that. That's always the possibility. I've tried to keep this kind of on the down low.
The boss knows, yeah, he knows what. He was excited about it. He actually was talking to me about some shifts coming up Saturday. You needed some extra hours from me, And while he was texting me about that. He said, I saw pictures on Twitter. It looked like the Mallard event was awesome. Yeah, I wrote back, and I told him, yeah, it was pretty amazing. He's in on it now, so I think we should get some sponsorship dollars out of him.
I agree, and the other thing too. Before I forget, I really want to thank the guys and I should not encourage this activity because it can can work both ways. But we have crossover fans that are are big supporters of petros and money in l A. Are there the flagship the newon drive So they used to work at
Fox Sports Radio. Where's the truck? Then? Yeah? Yeah no, But these guys were like going They told they told me they went up to Don Martin, the big boss, and we're like yelling to get me more exposure and our show more exposure and stuff like that. They were busting Don Martin's balls. That's thund that's our big man. I can't do anything about that. Mallard man, what do you do? It's just I don't ever fire anybody my man.
The audience does that by tuning out. It was it was so good, but the I did want to go back to the overnight the overnight radio listen, nighttime radio listener, real quick, because I read a book years ago about infommercials. The reason infomercials are on late at night. One of the reasons is it's obviously easier to put them on late at night because it's cheaper advertising rates and all that.
But they've done stage. People do behave differently at night, and and that's why people party at night and they do crazy things at night, right and uh, you know, it's like that old Stephen King quote. Nothing good happens at midnight unless you listen to the radio. But but people's activity is different and their sensibilities change a little bit at the end of the day as opposed to the beginning of the day. I'm sure we missed a bunch of stuff, Danny, but we we've got to kick
the can. We've got other business to get to this weekend. We'll have two other podcasts, but that is the Mallard Post Game Mallard Meet and Greet. Mallard and Danny g are thoughts on what It was a wonderful event thanks to everyone that showed up. Regina flew out from Minnesota. We had listeners judge, our friend Jay Scoop from Seattle Bay area and Nevada, Utah Ja Dot rove out from Utah and probably got here quicker driving at night from Utah than you did, Danny from where you came from.
So that yeah, special shout out to Eddie and you and the p Ones who made it such a fun event. Yeah, it was a great night and a night I will remember for many many years, and hopefully those of you that were there, well we'll remember that as one. Uh. That is it.
