Episode description

7-8. The happiest man who ever lived on death row.

A 1937 shade of blue story. Joe Arridy was a Mentally challenged young man. He went Smiling into The Gas Chamber for The Murder and assaults he didn’t Commit.  Joe was a young man that didn’t understand the concept of death and requested ice cream as his last meal.  The Warden of the Prison described Joe as the happiest man who ever lived on death row.

How was Joe convicted? Should he have been? Even if convicted should he have been sentenced to death?  Listen and decide.
