The guys discuss the Blue Jays’ 13-3 loss to the Orioles on Tuesday, the team’s acquisition of Paul DeJong, Ross Atkins’ decision not to add another big bat at the deadline, George Springer’s ongoing struggles, and Hyun-Jin Ryu’s performance in his 2023 debut. Afterwards, Brent and Sam are joined by ESPN MLB Insider Kiley McDaniel to discuss his big winners from the trade deadline, the Mets’ prospect haul for Justin Verlander and Max Scherzer, if the Astros have separated themselves as AL favourites, and the Orioles’ addition of Jack Flaherty. Later, the guys assign a letter grade for the Blue Jays’ moves leading up to yesterday’s trade deadline (26:59).
