Winsome Alexander: There Will Be A Testimony After Trauma

Did you know that 20% of adult females and 5-10% of adult males recall a childhood sexual assault or sexual abuse incident?

When we experience childhood trauma of any sort, it typically lives in our bodies and follows us into our adult years. We can carry trauma without even being aware, and until we learn to fully heal and cast our burdens on the Lord, trauma can sneak up on us when we least expect it.

In this episode, we hear the testimony of the amazing Faith Based Storyteller and Founder of the Self Empowerment Mentorship Program, Winsome Alexander.

Winsome empowers adult survivors of childhood abuse and trauma of find their personal power, grow out of survival mode and go from stagnant to unstoppable to create their dream.

Supporting survivors to get confident about who they are, what they want and developing a plan to get it is my passion, she is the former founder of OUTSPOKEN magazine - The Voice for Adult Survivors of Child Abuse which ran for five years and helped thousands of survivors break through their Abuse and tell their stories.

As an advocate and speaker for survivors of trauma including incest, sexual assault, domestic violence and depression. Winsome is also a member of RAINN speakers bureau - RAINN - Rape and incest national network where she serves as a rape and suicide crisis hotline counselor.
