The Diddy Trial Recap: Week Number 2 (Part 4) (5/26/25)

On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial of Sean "Diddy" Combs featured testimony from rapper Kid Cudi, born Scott Mescudi. Mescudi recounted a 2011 incident where Combs allegedly broke into his Hollywood Hills home after discovering Mescudi's brief relationship with Cassie Ventura, Combs' former partner. Weeks later, Mescudi's Porsche was destroyed by a Molotov cocktail. While he did not witness the act, Mescudi testified that he suspected Combs' involvement, citing prior threats and a subsequent meeting where Combs denied responsibility but later apologized. Mescudi's testimony aimed to illustrate a pattern of intimidation and retaliation by Combs towards individuals involved with Ventura.

Following Mescudi's testimony, the court heard from Mylah Morales, a makeup artist who worked with both Combs and Ventura. Morales described instances of controlling behavior by Combs, including dictating Ventura's appearance and monitoring her activities. She also recounted an incident where she observed injuries on Ventura, which Ventura attributed to Combs. Morales' testimony supported the prosecution's narrative of Combs exerting control and engaging in abusive behavior towards Ventura.
