Episode description

Paul holds a PhD in Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In his dissertation he developed novel global optimization techniques for previously unaddressed problem classes, including parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs), to improve the optical efficiency of solar energy. He has served as a Principal Investigator on several DARPA research program teams advancing the state of the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP). He has held the role of Research Director in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML)/Data Science and NLP at companies ranging from small rapidly growing startups such as New Knowledge/Yonder to large companies such as Dun & Bradstreet.
