You've had a few days now since the game you've watched us were watching. It looked like you had a lot of time there. But how did you feel like the whole thing where and you're you're preceptive any different they were Sunday? And how the passing game were? Uh No, I mean I think it's kind of like I said,
I think, you know, miss some opportunities. Um, you know, I think they covered us a few times, and you know, I think, uh, you know, there were obviously some places that we left on the field, and you know, we'd like to have a few of us back. Yes, the consistency really hasn't been there. Um, you had one good half as an offense in Atlanta and the big first half Sunday. Um, how frustrating. It's just that you guys have to be able to put together six You do
admit it. So yeah, you know, obviously it's really frustrated. You know, that's our goal, you know every week is to come out and play four quarters. Um, you know, to our ability. Uh, like you said, I feel like we have done that yet. You know, we've shown that we're capable of it. You know, we just haven't been able to put together four quarters. Um, I think obviously
there's some things that we can build on. There's things that you know, we did do well, and uh, you know that's our goal this weeks to come out build on those things, uh and play four quarters to not playing for a while. The need the new offense supers dropping balls all of the above. How do you put your finger on the UM, Yeah, I'm not sure. To be honest, I think if I knew that, it'd already be corrected. You know, I think, you know, you just look at the tape from the past a couple of weeks.
I just feel like, um, you know, there's small mistakes all over the place, and you know, we've got to do a better job as an offense and being more consistent. You know, it takes eleven guys to be successful. Um. You know, unfortunately, there just haven't been enough times where we've all been doing the right thing. The numbers have been skewed with the perceiving targets on the inside of the people letter. It's mad. Why larger receivers on the
outside as involved, at least statistically. Um, it's a good question. I don't know, you know, maybe it's the way that we've been calling the game. Maybe it's the way that the defense has been playing us. You know, obviously we feel really good with the matchups that we have inside obviously with Earth's and Jordan and Sprowls, and we feel anytime we can get those guys matched up inside, um, you know, whether it be a safety of back or nickel, that those are usually matchups that we like, as far
as the receivers doesn't serve. You know, a couple of them were saying the other day they feel like drawing the costs of breaking out the sof I mean, what have you've seen of them? I mean, do think it's pretty close to click? Uh? Yeah, you know, I think if you look at the tape, you know, they're having drives or spurts where you know, things have come together. You know, we've played the way that we wanted to play. Um. You know, I don't think it's a long ways off,
you know. I think it's you know, a small correction here or there, and I think that once we get in rhythm and get in sync, you know, hopefully this thing can take off. Because I think it's close to game obviously the second half, which was very successful to what you've done. After that. What is the difference of what you've done. Um, yeah, I think obviously in the Atlanta game we were just really efficient. Um, you know, first and taken down, we were great. Um, you know,
keeping ourselves ahead of the change. We converted when we had to. You, I think a big thing in the past two games is, you know, we haven't converted on third down, and you don't keep yourself on the field, it's hard to get in the rhythm. You know. We've got to do a better job about converting third down so we can get into that rhythm. Jordan passes, the passes that had a biggest caught some drops maybe some Have you seen any kind of common thread with all
of those besides being dropped? Brow is it? You know what I mean? Without it, there's like double vidiots. Um, you know, I don't know. I really haven't looked at it that close. Um. You know, hopefully, like I said, those are all out of the way and hopefully, uh, you know, we're just getting those out of our system. Jordan, is the reception we target someone just the wide receivers. Do you want to see just more balance with you know, who's gonna catch the ball? I'm on the wide receivers.
I know you have matchups with running backs that you like to exploit. I mean, obviously it'd be great to have balance, you know. I think, you know, when you can spread the ball around and get everyone involved, it makes it a lot tougher on a defense to game playing you as opposed to you know, when you're really concentrating on hidden you know, one or two guys the balled and they can double. You know, if we can spread it around to everyone and keep it balanced, I
think it's you know, it's our benefit. Um, you know, I think that's what we're going to try to get to. You know, hopefully this week you'll see everyone get involved. Is the reason maybe that hasn't so far is just because of what defenses are giving you, or do you have to make more on your end, more of a push to look Josh Love Riley, Whatever the case, I
think it's probably a little bit of both. Having a week of practice coming off of win, has it changed the mood in the locker room or on the practice field at them? Yeah, obviously anytime you win, it's much better, you know. I think everyone's spirits are a little higher after win. It's just nice to kind of get that
monkey off our back to get that first win. You know, I think everyone feels great about, you know, going to New York getting the win last week, and we're obviously looking to build on it out here on the practice field this week. Just get back to slight. Just say, you want everybody's voll, but you also don't want to force it when it's not there. To balance that out. Um, you know, I just gotta listen to the play call. You know, take what's there. You can't try to force anything,
you know. I think when um, you know, you try to force it to someone, and you know you make an extra effort to get someone the football. Uh, sometimes you run yourself into problems because you skip over progressions trying to get back to you know, three or four to get someone a ball. So I think, you know, you've just got to stay disciplined in your reach. You know, the ball goes where it's supposed to go. Say what do you think Nelson agil Are strengths are? Um? Yeah,
I think he's a great route runner. I think he's got really good feet. He always seems to keep himself in balance. Um, you know, some of the different routes that we feel good with him. I mean, he runs about as good as anyone I've seen. I think he's quick in short space, you know, but he can also you know, can get it going when he has to down the field. Same for three weeks, we really haven't seen the deep ball. Do you think that's going to change?
In any explanation for why for three weeks we haven't seen more deep balls? Um, you know, I don't think we've called a lot of deep balls. You know, hopefully that's something you know that we could get to. Um. You know, I think it just depends on kind of what we see is our best matchups, what we see is favorable that week. Um. You know, if they presented to us this week, then you know we're going to
take advantage of it. They're a good defense, you know obviously, I think, uh, their second right now in total defense. You know, their front is active. You know. It seems to me that they get their hands on a lot of balls, um, you know, fairly similar to Atlanta, and that their scheme isn't really complex. But what they do
they seem to be really good at. Even without the deep balls, they're sat that on average passes, they're shortage in the NFL back cheerity A darning it all first of ball field and thinking of all, um, what do you a period? Um? I mean, I think a lot of it is just the way that we're trying to attack defenses right now. Um, you know, the ball goes where it's supposed to go. UM. I don't think if there's anything that you know, it's not like we're just
trying to throw flats. It's just to me, that's what it's been you know, that's where the ball has been going. That's what we've been calling and that's what's been given to us. Obviously, want them move on. Everybody legal wants maybe waters that had to envision in the last few games through Um, it's a good question. Um, you know, probably all of them. You know, like I said, it'd be nice to get the deep ball going. It'd be
nice to be able to push the ball down the field. UM. You know, hopefully that's something that we can get to this week. Sam. In the no puddle and the hurry up offense, is it more difficult to read and react to the opposing defense as as compared to the offenses that you've left before. Um, I think it's about the same,
to be honest. You know, I think one of the benefits of the no huddle is, uh, you know, the defense, they don't have time to get in you know, a huddle themselves, and so they've got to get lined up. Especially when we present a tempo play and we're going fast, you know, it seems that they have to show their hand a little bit quicker than if you're playing you know, a normal style offense. Right, thank you.
