You've always been the dominant player obviously, but it looks like this year it's you know, at another level. And the numbers too. What do you think the difference between I mean, would you agree with that? First of all? What do you think the difference sense? I mean, I think you know the biggest thing for me is, you know, they challenged me every day practice games, and uh, you know, I I listened. I listened my teammates challenge me. And
you know, I respect Chris Long so much. And the thing about Chris is he challenged me every day, and uh you know what that is, you know, it just it just raises a bar for you if you're a player, you know, you got a guy like like Chris has been around for a long time and I just's my second year with him, and he challenged me every day, and uh, you know I respected and I accepted, and you know, go out on the field and and I
show the world how does he challenge me? Just you know, just talks to me and Chris you know, maybe you can ask him about it, but uh, you know, just the way he U It's just Chris. You know, we have fun, but he know when it's serious. Um and it's time to go. I think the biggest thing to me. I look him and I looked in my heart and we're both rad of the row. So you mentioned Derek just did his job on that. How is that hard to do in a moment like that, to not get
outside yourself and trying to do too much. Is that something you have to learn over time? Nope, with that's what we talk about, you know, doing your doing your job. That's our game. You know, that's how the nit they line room do your job. I don't try to nobody else's job because you know the play will come to you and obviously the play game to him. Um, he'd be at the corner and uh, you know he made to play that to see the game. Did you think
who's gonna get up? You know he staggered for a bit there, looping in might no we we I saw Brandon coming around and uh, you know, once BG gout, he started stumbling. Brandon BG come around and uh, you know, to make sure he was down, and you know it was. It was great for us. It's really got a lot of pressure on induw luck tonight and really held them in the red zone. They were one of five. I believe it was in the red zone what allowed you
guys to be so successful upfront. I mean we just always talk about you know, being being there, being a really good red zone team, being a good, really good overall defense, especially in the red zone. You know, you want the whole team to three points. Don't let him score touchdowns or you know, get turnovers, and uh, I
think this, I think we really did that today. There were some costly turnovers by the offense deep in your own territory there, and yet you guys were able to hold hold the Colts to just three points on both of those possessions. Does that fire you up when you see, okay, now we got to go back out there and this is now our time to clean up erase this mistake. For lack of a better term, yeah, I think you know how big a deal is. We saw the ball.
You know, we had we had our backs against the wall, and we've we've seen that story before, had our backs against the wall, and you gotta come out of holding three points to give our offense another chance. Would you be wearing this jacket tonight if you didn't have such a good game? Where does jacket no matter what? For the war to the game, three sacks and three games for you on your way to the Defensive Player of the Year. Perhaps, man, just just keep working hard. That's
all I can do. I don't control those things, and all I can do is just go out and show the wheld while you know, I want of the best defensive players in the year. Is that something that's important to you. It's very important, you know, And uh, it's very important to me. And but you know, at the end of the day, it's not about me. It's about you know, the other ten guys. It's on the field. The other guys is in this locker room, which is and that's what makes it so special.
