Today is what is he Well, obviously I'm I can't speculate. It's an ongoing investigation. UM, just like Nelson's situation a few weeks back. But I did have a great conversation with him last night, UM, laid out my expectations for him. You know, again, those are private conversations. I'm not gonna get into a bunch of detail on that. But UM, he's um obviously, uh, you know, humbled by it, and

he understands, uh, you know, the situation, the magnitude. But you know, until we get further details from the authorities, UM, I can't, I can't speculate any further. Yes, yes, yes, yes, decision that done. Say that again. Why had the decision

to allow him to practice? Well right now until we get further information from the authorities in South Florida and with dom and and the people here, and you know, I just felt like it, you know, just let him, don't punish him from being here, uh, and just let him, let him practice, let him report, let him go through physicals, conditioning test, all of that, and and we'll see what happens in for days. They need to talk to Nigel

Nelson King's charge. You and Nelson was at the end of OTAs and they were kind of scattered at that point. Nigel was actually flying back into town and actually was I was here in the building last night. So it just worked out that that we could get together. Have you ever gotten a team together and kind of outline your expectations for them off the field, and now, how do you feel I needed to do that after a lot, No, I I to ask you, qu yes I have I You know I did it back in April my first

team meeting with them. You always lay out your expectations what to expect on the football field and off the football field, and and you got to make smart, smart, smart decisions. You know that we're in a we're in a high profile business, and being in this city of Philadelphia, things get magnified a little bit, and and you just got to be smart and careful and make good choices. And then uh, obviously we all suffer her and and uh from our from ourtual bad choices, bad decisions, the

consequences of that. And UM, I addressed the team quite often actually on making making those I addressed the rookies just the other night. So um, and then tonight's meeting we'll have the same same similar message personally, or do you wait to the league and you know, obviously it's case by case. I mean, I think it just depends on the severity. If it's um, you know, until I can get all the information and us here at the Eagles can get all the information, then we will make it.

We'll make a decision at that point. But up until that point, we'll we'll continue to play football and move forwards kids in the draft. If you had all the killing issues, you've now had two players at the end the camp and now to the the gig at camp, what is your philosophy on signing bringing guys in here that baby had checker passes? Well, again, those are those are things you you research before signing those guys. And then you know a lot of a lot of places are different,

different cultures, different cities, uh, different organizations. I just know this that when they come to the Philadelphia Eagles, there's an expectation level that needs to be upheld. And then it starts with me and and uh, I have to be very clear, uh from from where I stand with the players and and and the coaches for that matter, and and make sure they understand again once they leave

the facility. Um, you know, they're they're citizens, but at the same time they understand that they the players represent their families, the Philadelphia Eagles and the entire organization. Situation at all, not at all, not at all. No, Travis has a situation here where, you know, giving him an opportunity now to to uh um catch on with another

football team. It's you know, obviously sometimes it comes down to the numbers and roster spots and and he's he's one hundred percent healthy, ready to go, and and it just felt like now's the time, you know, with this decision to allow him to catch on with another football teams possibility, and Nigel gets released because it is I don't I don't foresee anything like that. No, you would interested in what was your level of interest there? Is that a positional group they look at to Um, there

was a little interest there. We're always you know, with Howie and Joe and the guys. I mean, we're continuing to always, uh see about upgrading every position, and uh he was He's on the list obviously, and UM it's basically that's where where it's at. You know, it's it's, um, nothing's gone forward with that. UM, we're monitoring every every roster, every free agent that's out there. And if we can, you know, help our team somehow, some way, we'll do it.

But right now, right now, there's nothing, nothing in the works. It's like you change how you call play, it will be directed. If that's the direction I go, then yes I will. I'll have the I'll have the third channel where I can communicate with the quarterbacks. UM. That's something I'm still kind of molling over just a little bit besides my game day duties. UM, still calling the plays, but whether I go through Frank to call it to the quarterback or if I go directed to the quarterback,

UM on that part of it. Because there's other I mean with the game management situations and time management and just managing your roster and the trainers and substitutions and everything. Um, there's a lot involved. But I'm still working through that. But UM, we'll see where that ends up. You know, I tell you, you know, technology is like you can't stay up fast enough with it, you know, And and uh, those are great devices to have. In fact, we use

them in Kansas City with the quarterbacks. We've had them on their helmets before gives you an opportunity to kind of see from the player's advantage point where they're looking, where their eyes are, Are they in the right direction, are they on the right reads you know and defensively or in the right spots? Um, and and then and then you know you can you can evaluate um and help correct the player. I know it's great with quarterbacks because you definitely get a you get that perspective on

where where he's looking and if he's looking. Yeah, obviously you can't tell who he's looking at, but you can tell the direction of where they're looking. And and um, you get great feedback with with that kind of technology,

I think. So we'll take a look at the tape here today and and and and see how a lot of times with I know this with my experience at helmet camp, sometimes they can get real jumpy because the players moving and he's a high high rate of speed, and so he can get kind of jumpy and a little nauseating at times. But um, if it looks like it's a tool that we can use and help develop young players, I'm all for for that kind of technology. Yeah,

what for meting ready training? I'll tell you this, this this schedule that we're gonna about to partake for training camp. Took this team to any NFC championship game, that took him to the Super Bowl, has won a ton of games. So my feeling on it. I went through it as a player in Green Bay with Mike Holmgren, I went through it with as a player with Coachree in nineteen ninety nine, and then obviously back a couple of years ago.

So this schedule has proven. Um, it's very hum with the rules now, with the practice in one time a day and and all of that, it allows the players to get plenty of rest in the afternoon. Um, so there won't be much won't be much change. The only thing I'll do, probably a little different, is about every third or fourth day, go ahead and take the pads off and give them players will break it at that time. It's good, you know, it's good. I love I love the fact that, uh, you know, we got the three

three starters coming in. Of course, you know we mentioned Nigel and Jordan Higgs is coming back healthy and ready to go, and Michael Kendricks, and then I'll tell you Joe Walker has done a great job for us this offseason and he's gonna put himself in a position to be a solid backup and and then we got some young guys there. But at the same time, you know, we're going to continue to monitor that position and just watch and see and and keep upgrading if we can.

But right now, very pleased with the with the work that uh these guys have done in the offseason, what the rookies have shown of these last three days, and just look forward to putting the pads on being the only veteran backup and that position. I mean, if you had to go into the season that way, you know, yeah, I'm comfortable with him. You know, Um, would you like to continue to have more depth at that position and in any position? Sure, but uh yeah, I'm very comfortable

with him go into a linebacker. There's a chance, there's a chance that could go to that spot. Yes, back to the video when you were a player, did you ever when you were watching team do you ever we wish you to see a play from a certain perspective that guys now have and you have the helmet, yeah, you know, because we always had just the you know, the tower cameras and the sideline cameras. We just had two angles. But now you can get all the way

down to eye level. And uh, you know, with all the uh you know, the the three D and the high definition and uh you know cameras at for seven on sevens you can put right over the football and you can see a you know, a panoramic view. That's really changed how you can study, study defenses and study tape. So you know, Um, the thing is too with technology if it helps you win football games. I'm all four days.

You know. I was excited when we drafted him. I was excited during rookie camp when we had him in here, uh the entire offseason program, and he came back ready to go in a great frame of mind, and and um, you know he's gonna put himself in a position I'm hoping to help us this season. I think he's I think he's that good and um excellent route runner, good hands, you know, uh, patient runner. And I love the fact that he's he's kind of a one cut, no nonsense

type guy. He's a downhill guy, but but fast enough to u separate and create some you know, create some long runs. So I'm decided again, once we get in't start getting into pads protection how well can he protect and and a lot of backs in college that come to this level. Um, that's something they've got to learn extremely fast. Lunch half, you see him right doing a great job, doing a great job. He's he's he's a

physical guy. He moves well, he's sharp, he's learning Coach Swartz's system back there and and uh again he's he's put himself in a position to, um, you know, help us tremendously and and uh again once we you know, I love I love the work these guys do in they're in the shorts and helmets. But again sometimes and once you get the pads on, it becomes a different uh,

a different animal. And um, you know two, once we get into camp a week or so and the volume starts to increase just a little bit, you know, we'll see exactly where these kids are. But right now, Love Love, where he's at. Love is uh uh his attention to detail, his aggression and uh he's making plays climates marve mornings and English prot everyone in the morn morning. There will be a conditioning testament just past fail. Yeah, what we've done done in the past is uh um here now

it's different than what I've done in the past. Um, it's just a set of two different sets of ten sprints for time, and um it's different different lengths. It's like forty fifty sixty you know, big guys, middleweights, lightweights type thing, and uh, it's all time and it's just a past fail. Just see where there at and see what they've done for the last six weeks. John Boston TV he's been doing America's Got Talented Hoods until it was separate tic love it, love it. You guys watch

it last Did you see it last night? Dude's unbelievable. What was on last night? You canvention America's Got Talent man John norbas one of our own. Um no, I tell you what he uh gosh pulling for him. He represents us the organization, um this city, Um, you know on that show like like a professional. And obviously his talent is something. I think that Um when football is said and done for him, I think he's definitely got a career and in in Las Vegas or Atlantic City

or wherever. But um, yeah, I'm pulling for him and excited for for where he can go. Are you going to have to make some great you know, he's not not gonna be here today exact there's more coming up. Are you gonna have to kind of give him time? We just gotta see. I mean, obviously he went through this show and and uh he'll be he'll be back tomorrow for the conditioning test and and um, you know, we'll just go day by day and just see see where it ends up, you know, um in the next

couple of days. All right, Thanks guys, Raw Steam Draw
