Well, Clayton, you have to stop entering games like this again an emergency entrance. And you looked a lot more comfortable in week number two. Yeah, you know, I found more comfortable. I think last week I was excited to get out there and play, and so you know, they we'll settle down, getting a little rhythm. Obviously, playing the whole game does that for you, but that's not what's
usually get in the preseason. So you know, it's great to get out there and just distributed to these great playmakers. Eighty five yard touchdown drive in ninety five yard touchdown drive. I guess the more you play, the more you get into a rhythm. Yeah, you no doubt, you know, just running the offense week by week now, I've been in it for a few weeks and so it's great to get out there and play. You know, I love being out there with those guys. You didn't slow down for
you in game number two. Yeah, it definitely did, you know. I think I was just taking with the defense gave me and I was I was having fun. So it was a lot of fun to get out there. Tell me about the touchdown pastor Greg, Yeah, he made a great play, you know, I saw there bringing the heat and so I had to get out there to great play by him. Clayton, thanks so much, congratulations, Thank you appreciate. Yeah,
I can say I could say that. Um, Like I said, I mean practice, I've just been getting better and better, Uh, focused on what little little things I gotta work on, and feel like I was more patient back there, feel more comfortable. So I felt like it was a good day. Do you feel like you're ahead of the curve where you want to be or right where you thought you would be at the stage of training camp? So I can't.
I can't say whether I'm ahead or right at the same practice, feel like I'm getting better and better to day. The old lion blocked, Uh, had a good day to day and opened up for him. Can you describe the sixth yard drawn? It look like if designed to go inside and then you bumped it out. Yeah, just like I said, just be patient back there reading it, UH, slowing it down from me. Old line blocked it well and just cut it off the back side. You gotta blitz pick up there on the touchdown pass. How much
have you been working on that in particular? How nice was it like? Play? Viccard and play like that. As far as knowing knowing where the blizzers are coming from and knowing the calls that I got, I think I'm pretty good at that, just technique wise that I gotta work on. So I feel like I'm in decent at that and he's getting better every day. I was just as exciting as just to running football. You know that you're not gonna play unless you are sound with your blocking.
So is it just as satisfying to to pick up blitzes and to be technically sounded in the past protection situation as it is to run. Yeah. Absolutely, I get excited when I pick up a pick up blitzes, you know, picking up the right guy, he listening to the cause and just going off that. Uh So I feel like I'm getting better to day. You, like I said, Coldy went down, Like, did you think like you would be used at all a quarterback? I mean, I said something
to give it them working on at all. I knew that was a possibility if um the next guy went down, that I was maybe gonna go out there. So I just kind of head it in my mind that that was a possibility that I might go out there. But can you run through the touchdown one more time to catch the run. The adjustment that you made. The guy was just playing heavy on his schooling and heavy with his hands. I was able to get his hands off and let's bring myself open. Made a catch. You gave
me opportunity. I'm made to catch. And just after that, just trying to the will to win man, just trying to go school as you've learned the position. I mean, would you have been able to make that play? Would you be able to make that adjustment? You know, a couple of years ago? I think so? I think so, just playing football all my life, that just one thing that that that that you've done in the backyard, just throw it up and you go get it. So I
feel like I definitely would have made a few years ago. Great. How competitive visit in that wide receiver room. You know, I don't know if you look at numbers, but certainly when you look at all the talent, how how competitive you feel it is? It's very competitive. M trying not to look at numbers, just trying to take care of what I can take care of and just go out there every day and for my best. Before it I'll just think, gad, I'm initially. Yeah, that kind of got
away from I gotta get back to the drone board. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I do the Actually, yeah you played, I know, punch coverage, kickoff covers tonight. I mean, obviously it's gonna be a fifth or six or you run this team. Special teams is a big part of weathering keeper guy on the roster. So you feel comfortable with your development as a special teams guy, Yes, sir, I'm talking to them ACoM gent
ends every day. Um, seeing what I can do better, seeing how I can improve, just white White watching film, just being critical on myself and you know, just focusing in on it. Yeah, we've been big, definitely, definitely, I was. I was talking to Holm during the game. I was acting him to watch every single rep and I'll come to him after they ripping act and what I can do better. So, um, that's just somebody that I always talk to. You had an opportunity to to kick along
when there it looked like everything was perfect. Yeah, I mean everything felt good. I think we're kind of starting to get get a little rhythm. Um. You know, sometimes that takes a little bit coming back into camp and just getting things going on the right track. And um everything called good to night. At what point do you feel like you do hit that that peak. Oh, I wouldn't say there's any specific time. I think it's different every year, but um, I don't know. It's just it's
just kind of feeling it out. And obviously we've gotten a lot of reps in training camp, a lot of really good, high quality ups and starting translate, having the same operation for a couple of years now. How beneficial is that? Yeah, I mean it's huge. You know, you know exactly what Rick's gonna do. You know, Camp's gonna take care of business, and you know they do it consistently.
