I know the feeling that goes on now in the next twenty four to forty eight hours or so, and you know, it's it's a little uneasy for a player sometimes. But you know, even even as coaches, um, you know, I challenge the players going into this last week to it's a really especially the ones that play in this game, to make it hard on us as coaches, as personnel staff and you know, um, give give everything they have

for for one more opportunity. And and you know, and I also tell them that listen, they're they're competing, yeah, for our roster, but there's there's thirty one other teams that are also looking, you know at everybody's roster. And we've got some good players, and um, you know, we've got to make some tough decisions. And that's just the nature of this ball game. And we got to get down to the fifty three here over the weekend because he played a week Do you have to make these

decisions a little bit than not? Really, we still got time, you know, um, still got some time next next couple of days to to you know, get it to where you want or get it where you think you have it. Um, But uh, it's a. It's a little it's sped up a little just because we're playing you know, playing on Thursday doesn't give him an advantage because he's a veteran and you have all show that's gonna be he's gonna be out for these two weeks. Well that we got

to take that into consideration. You know, obviously he's he's played some football, you know, in this league. And and uh, I thought his you know again, I thought what he did tonight was was good. We got to evaluate it tomorrow when we watch it and can can break it down. But um, you know, he has experience, and and we got to factor that into everything. Adams and Joe's um, you know, I thought both of them ran extremely hard. Uh Matt, Matt kind of you know, excuse me, Uh

just go back to Josh. Josh you know, had the first half and and and did did some good things and um and then and then Matt, uh, Matt in the second half just kind of kind of took over. I think, you know, some offensive line play was was we tightened some things up and stouted made some of j Smiths and all that. But I thought Matt really came in and really sort of improved, you know as uh one as camp progressed and really had a nice game. You know, to uh obviously score that game winner was

was key for him. As a follow up the Jimmy's question, he's an accurate d a day. Jeff's gonna miss two jams were in these two weeks. Actually he's talking about Alshan. I'm gonna activate him off the pup tomorrow. He's playing every day by day from here, I Addams to out many camp and training camp. I mean, I wouldn't this performance. Who is that? Josh Addams? Josh Adams. You know, he's

done some nice things. You know, he kind of came in, you know, he missed the offseason a little bit with with an injury and and you know sort of was kind of a little a little playing catch up and then uh come into camp and he was ready to go, and then he had a little setback again and got healthy from that. And he really has done a nice

job for a young player. We've we've asked a lot of them really, um and and you know, again without really making a fair evaluation after watching the tape, watching the full body of work, because he's also played some

special teams. We got to factor that in, um and see where he's at and see see if he uh, um, you know where he is now in these next couple of days based on based on that, Doug, if you made a decision on the starting quarterback is going to be for Thursday yet it's not Friday yet, Are you guys going to sit down on tomorrow and make that decision? Um? No, I mean, we don't have to make that decision right now.

We got we still got some time before we get hit the practice field again and and uh go from there. Well that conversation on it though. Sorry, you're looking forward to learning what the news is clear not clear, because you guys are just beat getting ready for the Fountain, you know, Um obviously you know yeah, I mean you anticipated. But at the same time, you know, I've got you know, the rest of the team to prepare to get ready

for Atlanta and um, you know whoever it is. I mean, it's just we just got to prepare the same way. We just gotta take it one day at a time. We got to focus on one game at a time and and uh, you know, take the take the forty six into that game that that are that are ready to go that choose to. You know what, I've seen a lot of Nate already. He's played a ton this offseason or this preseason. He's played a ton of football.

And really I needed to get a fair assessment of Joe and Christian because we haven't really seen Christian thy night. Oh no, not at all, not at all. What was Christian? I thought there were some good things. Um, you know, obviously the turnovers are things that we can't do from the quarterback position. Um, you know, it was unfortunate there at the end of the half. Christian had a really nice drive going to to pin you know, at least

maybe get three out of that drive. But but we just ran out of time and and and all that. But did some nice things. And then then and Joe I thought, really in the second half and the fourth quarter came in and you know, once he you know, a nice drive, just kind of under threw the pass. He had the guy in the end zone if he throws a little bit further. But I was it was great to see him come back and bounce back and and and put together that touchdown drive at the end.

So they both did great things. Um, you know, I'm excited for both of them. Uh and and and obviously their future and and uh um, great way to finish the preseason with with a touchdown drive. What's the message as he goes? Yeah, it's unfortunate, Number one, he understands, you know. Um, but you know the message is just hey, he's gotta he's gotta stay focused, he's got to stay ready. Uh, he's got to continue to work out, you know, for the next um, you know, seven eight days whatever it is.

And um, when he comes back, he's he's ready to go. He's gonna start that week one in his passes. No, we haven't made those decisions yet. Talk when you talk about its evaluation as a whole, go all the way back to the spring and you've seen most of these guys through training camp. How much can this game tip to scales for those bubble players? Um? I think it it can. It can it can it can tip it a little bit? You know. I mean again, you got to take the full body of their work. You know,

it just can't rely on one football game. You know, we gotta go back to OTAs and you gotta you know, sometimes you have to go back and even just watch you know, a couple of practices back then and see how they've progressed to now. And you know, by doing that, um, we do our due diligence to make sure that the fifty three is the right fifty three, you know, in the next couple of days. And uh, some of these guys you know are gonna make it tough on us. Okay, thanks, you bring it
