Other slow start pretty films today. Can you pinpoint why the most I can't. I can't unfortunately slow start something that we we preach all the time, talk about it every every week that we want to start fast and uh, you know, credit to the Vikings coming out and making some stops. Um, yeah, we just slow start. Uh this, how do you get out of the way that sack fumble order? Can you feel that pressure coming? It's just happening.
I mean my eyes were the other way. Um, if I was looking the other side of the field, I probably would have avoided it and been just fine. But um, that's football covery. We have to restrict bad. Why is it happened to be better team? Yeah, it's unfortunate. You know those are things that I mean, we gotta take a real hard look in the mirror. Um, little mistakes like that, and kind of the same thing I really echoed last week after the game. Um, these little mistakes
that sometimes can go overlooked are just killing us. And we're playing like we're a young rookie team and we're not. And so we got to really be hard on ourselves and learn from these mistakes and uh turn around fast. Frustrating was that dry specifically to get the ball with great field position. And yeah, very frustrating. I mean we you know, we went down, scored, had momentum, got the ball back uh, in a great position, and then we just go backwards, backwards, backwards, and um, yeah, I mean
it's extremely frustrating. Are you feeling more pressure, um, a certain circumstances, certain circumstances. Do you feel it's when blitz is versus four man watches or anything that you feel like they're getting more pressure for I don't think so. Um. You know, it's just been kind of nature of the game, you know, unfortunate sacks and little things here and there that again, we got to keep cleaning up, um. And I mean the same thing goes for the last couple
of weeks. It's it's not one guy's fault. It's not just the A line, it's not just the backs, it's a lot of me. It's it's everything. And um, yeah, we got to clean it up though, was Malcolm's message. When you've got to address the team in I mean, I think that the beautiful thing for us right now is it's a fast turnaround. You know, we go to get the bad taste out of our mouth fast and you know, go on the road to New York Thursday
night'll beer before we know it. So it's it's really coming tomorrow, ready to work and get ready for New York. So um, like I said, just put this one behind us, learn from it. But uh yeah, we don't have to dwell on it too. The course in the NFL is enforcing a lot of rules to protect the quarterbacks. Um, I'm interesting interested in what your point of view is looking at the one against Michael Bay and what do you make of the rules and how they're enforced. I mean, honestly,
I didn't see that one. Um, I know it's I mean, I know the revs are are in a tough spot with with some of the new rules, and um, it's unfortunate when it when it happens against you. But yeah, I didn't actually see the place. I don't have a real comment time. How do you feel just in terms of the flow of the game getting your third game back now, where do you kind of feel like you're at? Person?
I feel fine. You know, obviously we're um kind of have some ebbs and flows as an offense, slow start, I've seem like we got some momentum, then we hurt ourselves again, and um, you know, it seems like I kind of feel like that's where we were two years ago, you know, like we were that young team making these mistakes, kind of having those ebbs and flows. Last year. Uh, you didn't see a lot of that. Um, and so the veteran team that we have a lot of the guys,
I mean, I'm confident that will fix it. I'm confident that will turn it around. But UM, it's frustrating right now, Darry. Practice this week of court started. You even emphasize kind of eliminating the self inflicted woods. What's the next step. It seems like everyone's harping on it, but you can't you kind of get that message through. Yeah, I mean it's it's frustrating again. If we don't get that fix,
we're gonna lose a lot of games. Um. But at the end of the day, I know the guys in that locker room, UM, I know guys are gonna play with a sense of urgency. They're gonna come tomorrow ready to work. And that's something that I haven't really feared. You know, even my rookie year when we were technically out of the playoffs. Um, there's no quit in these guys. You know, we're not just gonna lay down three and
two and three, like, we're not just gonna stop. Um, we're gonna get a fix and we're gonna be We're gonna be all right. I made tho the room, but beneath the waking says, but she would you get the turnover and you're in a Churchroy and they had good to get score on that comfortable, but they kind of good nat out of it. Yeah, I mean we kind of talked about it a little bit, but I mean we heard we heard ourselves, you know, we heard ourselves at some self inflicted wounds. But at the same time,
hats off of them. You know, they got good players over there. Uh seems like we both know each other pretty well at this point having played the last couple of years. So hats after them for making plays and we just got to clean it up. They've got past the way all that went through his hand? Was that? Was that just you saw that no one was covering
him or was that the where it's designed to go? Yeah, that was just we we both saw made eye contact and um, Harrison was just running over there quick and uh yeah, it was just happening. It's five straight games now where you having scored aboard twenty three points. Is this offense to enough for you guys to get contender this year? Yeah, I mean I think we're going to be. You know, I'm not hanging hanging my head and dwelling on it. You know, And we know what we're capable of.
We know we have the potential, we know we have the right guys. Um and one thing that we seem to always doing, Coach does a great job putting guys in the right spots. Again, it's really the same thing. We just got to stop killing ourselves. And um, I know, I know we'll get this thing right back on travers. He didn't put a Frank Reich and John d Philippo.
I mean, obviously we missed those guys. You know, they were great, But I mean Coach Crow press Taylor, Um, you know, I think we talked about a little bit this week and in the press conference, but I mean it's been extremely smooth process with those guys. I love working with those guys every day, and um, I don't think that's any issue in our slow, slow start here. Every quarterback sneak last season one third and one in
the first half. Was there any conversation? Is there? Is your health one of the reasons why they didn't go to there. Yeah, I'm really not sure, you know, other than um, we saw that that playoff film, thought it, thought it would be a good one. Thought we could not just get you know, a couple of feet, but thought we could get a big play out of it. And um, their defensive en made a great play, Carson, he got a deep ball to Sheldon. What is he
to the offense? Just the ability to stretch things? Yeah, I mean you said it. He's got the ability to take the top off the defense. Um. And uh, you know we see him in practice kind of every week. Just keep getting better and keep building his confidence and um, you know, we put him in there in a position to make plays and do it he's good at and he made a great play to night mission this season. Um. Obviously we haven't hit you know, many many deep balls
and everything, and it's hard to say. Obviously we'd love to get those, and we had a handful of those last year. But at the same time, a lot of it is what the defense is doing to us, you know, there's not a ton of opportunities. A lot of teams are playing soft zone against us, making us earn it. Um, so we just got pick and choose wisely. And you know, I mean it was good to see Shelton make that one tonight and uh yeah, hopefully they'll be more of
that in the future. What's your actual level of concern at this point. I mean it's not early year anymore, right, I mean frustrated, yes, Concerned No. I mean I think we have again kind of expecting what I said.
