Yeah, yeah, it was. I mean it was a culmination of a lot of things obviously today. Um, you know, I've played a lot of football games in my career, ever since I was a kid, and this is one of the worst losses I've ever been a part of. And um, yes, it's frustrating. It's frustrating all the way around. Offensively, defensively, special teams. We just got beat playing simple, we got beat. I gotta be better and it starts with me, especially offensively.
Have to get that thing going earlier and early and often. We talked about it all the time and we just haven't got been able to get it fixed. So um, yeah, it was definitely frustrating one today. But at the end of the day, Um, we're gonna get out of here, We're gonna watch this film and we're gonna go, uh play a couple of NFC st opponents here and see what we're made of. Yeah. Again, it's hard to say. It's hard to say one thing. Uh, we just didn't show up early today. You know, we didn't show up
and uh we got beat. That's a good football team. You know, give them credit, but you know, we know we're better than what we put out there today, and I know myself, I gotta I gotta be better. I gotta lead these guys better. I gotta come out swinging better, um, and move the ball, move the chains, make some plays and and I didn't do that. And as a team, we didn't do that either. Um, I don't think. So they throw at Aglar early, they made a good play.
I didn't quite see the coverage there. UM called that cut and replace, and they did a good job of that, and I just saw the safety cut and didn't didn't quite see uh twenty three over there. I was just mad at myself because I just didn't see the coverage right. And uh, you know, I knew, I knew the type of ball game we were in, uh, and and the emphasis we put on starting asked him, we didn't do that, and then I obviously didn't help the cause either. So
I was frustrated. You were actually back in and you were driving and it was three. What was the what was the call were trying to do? Yeah, we were trying to be aggressive, and I take a shot down the field. They played a good coverage and I just didn't get it off in time. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think he saw the ball, and yeah, person, you look at this season, last season, last season, all those injuries, are you surprised that you had this year? Yeah, I
mean this is a different season, different year, different team. Um. You know that's the easy comparison to compare to last year and what we did and all those things. This is a different team, you know, and um, right now, we got to find a way. You know, injuries happened. Those are all part of the game. Um, it suck, you know for a lot of these guys to just be um missing a lot of time, you know, and it's it's tough, but um, it's it's a new season, new year, and we gotta bounce back better a lot
a lot, you know. I know, I probabe myself in coming out of swinging early. I'm excited before they get all those things and locked in, and we just didn't make enough plays. Um, you know the last couple of weeks. It's it's frustrating for so I definitely take a lot of it on my on my plate, on my shoulders. Um, and I gotta come out better make sure like everyone's
I mean, as a leader, you definitely need to. I think the leaders definitely need to but uh, you know, I've said it a bunch and we know the guys in that locker room. UM, we know there's not gonna be guys that are gonna lay down and quit. Um. Today we just gotta flat out beat and beat badly. But we're gonna bounce back. And Uh, like I said, we got a couple of games here, um that will really define this season coming up, and it starts next week.
Sail again. Um. You guys feel free to have your own doubts whatever you want, but we know we're capable of you know, I know, Um, we we're the product we're putting out. There's not up to our standards. I'm not playing up to my standards. Um, and I think you go down the list. Everyone's saying that. But we know the guys we have, we know the talent we have, we know the chemistry we have. Uh, it just hasn't
clicked out there all together. Um. So at the end of the day, all that really matters is the guys in that building, the guys in that locker room, and we all believe. When that belief is never gonna go anywhere that quit you'll never see us quit. Um. And so we're excited to get back to work. Is this is a frustrating one, an embarrassing one. But uh, like I said, we got three games, we got a couple of NFC scans ahead of us that we'll really see
