All right. In Monday Night football, the Eagles unable to get it done against the Seattle Seahawks, falling seventeen to twenty three. Russell Wilson remains perfect against Philadelphia. Thanks for joining us here on the postgame show presented by Rico. I'm Amy Campbell, joined by Fran Jeffie and first, let's just send our well wishes to Ike Reese, who posted on his social media that he has tested positive for COVID. That is why he is not joining us for the

postgame show. We will absolutely be missing you and your takes this evening. We wish you the best. Fran. Let's get into this one. A tough loss for the Eagles. Ended up being a six point game, but what twelve seconds before the game ended, it was fourteen point game. And you really felt like the Eagles never really were able to feel like they were in a good position in this one against Seattle. Didn't lead the entire game. Let's just start to wrap to bring this into perspective here.

What are your initial thoughts. Yeah, I mean offensively, just you know, continued futility, right, they couldn't get things going in the first half. I believe it was the first five drives started with three and ounce and you know, the slow starts continue to plague that side of the football. Defensively, I thought that they did a lot of really good things continue to do with some good things to limit Russell Wilson. We talked about that on the Kickoff Show.

I think that they did some really good things both on the back end and up front to really bring it to the Seattle offense and kind of limit what they were trying to do offensively. But ultimately on the Eagle side, I mean, they could not move the ball with consistency through the air or on the ground, and going in this was a big time run defense. The Eagles knew that they tried to move the ball through the air. The offensive line could not protect first down,

second down, third down. Did not matter that Carson Wentz was under fire throughout much of this game. There were some incompletions that were of the quarterbacks doing. There were some incompletions that were of the receivers doing. It was just overall just not a good day for the offense. Yeah, Carson went sacked six times tonight. I believe three of those were on third down. They were showed some improvement

on those third down conversions. But Bran, you mentioned you start the first five possessions going three and out on offense, even with the defense putting them in a good position, hard to really get anything going. When that's how you start set the tone for the game. Let's bring in the Eagles insider Dave Spidero and get your thoughts. Dave, just initial thoughts on tonight's performance against Seattle. You know, from the very start, looking at number eleven, how would

he come out and start the game. And he started a game by throwing late to Richard Rogers when he was open. By the time Carson got rid of the football, Rogers was covered. And then he misses greg Ward on an easy throw, another incompletion on the outside a little low, and the outside to alshon Jeffrey on the outside right. I just think more of this is on Carson Wentz. Not throwing with confidence, not throwing with accuracy. Mechanics don't

look comfortable and flowing. I thought the Eagles tried to get him out of the pocket more than we had seen. But again a first half where there's just very little going on a number that jumped out at me as I was tracking it yards per pass play, the Seahawks averaging six point eight yards per pass play, and until that final drive, which is just patting the stats, Carson Wentz average two point five yards per past attempt and the Eagles as an offense three point one yards per

pass attempt. So, I mean, this offense continues to tell the same story week after week. And I gotta tell you, Fran, I mean, I know the offensive line gave up some Jamal Adams blitzes and he kept coming coming. For the most part, I thought they did okay. I thought they gave Carson time to throw the ball. He's just getting nothing going. He just doesn't look confident. The wide receivers, no big plays. Again, it's all Boston Scott, Miles, Sanders,

Richard Rogers, alas God or middle of the field. Nothing outside, nothing vertical, nothing deep, nothing to threaten the Seattle defense. That's my take. I mean, it's more to me on number eleven and this mystifying drop in performance than it is on the play calling or the offensive line. I just thought Seattle was there ripe to be had At times. There were receivers who were open, and Carson just didn't get him the ball. Well, and Dave, what about the

other side of the ball for the Eagles. I think you covered the offense pretty thoroughly and we'll continue to break it down statistically where the Eagles struggled, but the defense came out really strong, limiting the Seattle offense. A couple of big plays got the better of them. Of course, dk Metcalf a historic performance from him again with the big plays there for the defense. But what did you think about their game plan against Russell Wilson and the

Seattle offense. Solid game plan, corralled him nicely, Wilson running only for twelve yards twenty two of thirty one two hundred and thirty yards. But and so that's good. But what I expect from Darius Slay when you are matching him up one on one. He came into Philadelphia to be the shutdown cornerback, and I know that that really doesn't exist in the NFL. But DK Metcalf targeted thirteen times, ten completions, one seventy seven, should have had a touchdown

catch in the end zone, drew a penalty. You know, Slay making that early mistake. I thought a kindness at the tone he and Malik Jackson the back to back personal foul penalties the Eagles held on that drive. I thought they played tough against the run. Seattle just seventy six rushing yards on thirty carries. I just want my shutdown cornerback to shut down. And maybe DK metcalf is just too big, too fast, too strong. But thirteen targets, ten receptions, one seventy seven. I mean, that's a that's

a really difficult obstacle to overcome. That that's a go to receiver making plays whenever Russell Wilson wanted to dial him up. Dave, I've got a question that's almost a little bit big picture, if you take like a step back, what are your thoughts right now? Obviously it's such a fast start for Travis Foglan this season and then this year. Over the last month, will say it's kind of tapered

off a little bit. We've seen some stats, especially Laton games in the fourth quarter, But overall, what are your feelings right now on number thirteen? It's hard to tell for him because he's only gets targeted targeted a few times a game coming into the game. Twelve targets, two catches, sixteen yards. In the previous two games tonight, two targets,

two catches, sixteen yards. Is he not open? I just don't feel like it's accurate for us to kind of make a judgment on him, because Carson is just not getting his eyes out to the perimeter of the defense. So I don't know, it's hard to tell. I mean, tonight, see seemed to have a little something going early in the second half and then it petered out. But that's kind of the story of the offense. I think when your quarterback does not give you chance to make plays,

does not throw with anticipation, is throwing lates. I think this receiving corps kind of doesn't know where the ball's going when it's coming to them. So it's very difficult to judge Travis Folgum at this point, but certainly tonight friend as a group, the wide receivers, you know, going against a Seattle defense that has not played well all season, and still the longest completion to a receiver was eleven yards to Travis Folgum. So I will hear from Doug,

We'll hear from Carson. But I expected the Eagles to go after their cornerbacks, and maybe they had some chances tonight there were some receivers who were open and Carson just did not get them the football. Yeah, it's definitely gonna be interesting to hear from coach and players a little bit later. Dave, I'm curious your take about the

start of the second half of this Eagles offense. It felt like they started they started strongly, started with the momentum, They put together a nice long drive, they took a decent amount of time off of the clock, and then it started to bizzle out and there were some mistakes made later into that second half and they weren't ever really able to get in it. But did you see them come out with a little bit more of a

spark and can you figure out exactly where that came from? Yeah, a little bit of a spark, amy, But our expectations have to be more than just a little bit of a spark. What is missing from this offense is chunk plays. Fran you talked about it before the game. You thought there was an opportunity for the Eagles to get chunk plays right, and there were not chunk plays until late in the game. Richard Rogers and run here and there, Dallas Godder to catch and run here and there, but

nothing on the perimeter. So it's hard to drive seventy five eighty yards when you have the football and you've got four poor field position. You need to find a way to get those big plays, and they're just not happening for the Eagles offense. So look, I know the topic of conversation here is going to be about Carson Wentz, and quite honestly, I'm really interested to hear what Doug Peterson has to say. How long do you stick with a quarterback that's running an offense that is just not

scoring points. I mean, this is the age of moving the football in the NFL. Never been easier to score points. Eagles have had winnable games. I thought tonight was a winnable game. Cleveland was a winnable game, the Giants a winnable game. The offense just didn't do its part. And Carson, I love you, Carson. It just doesn't look like he's playing with confidence on the balls of his feet, delivering the ball accurately, getting it out of his hands quickly,

making fast, good sound decisions seeing the field. It's hard to say he's doing that when once again, he's twenty five or forty five two hundred and fifteen yards, six sacks, two touchdowns, and an interception in the red zone, a costly, costly fourth down throw in the end zone. Yeah, I mean, it's a it's a topic that we've touched on so many times. Obviously, there was a lot of a lot of dude to talk about the quarter back situation coming into this game over the last couple of days, all

kinds of reports flying around with the media. We did see Jalen Hurts a handful of times in this game, I would say, no more than what we've seen in the past. Going back to the offensive line, Dave, you know, we saw another change obviously up front due to some injuries all around that group overall. Thought that you talked about it a little bit at the top, but Jason Peters making that move from left tackle to right guard.

Any thoughts coming out of this game just on the state of the offensive line, Yeah, I mean I thought Frand like you know, when your first glance, it wasn't. There weren't jailbreaks. I thought Matt Pryor got beated once or twice on the outside, but for the most part got off the ball well, had good position, good leverage. I thought Jordan a lotta same thing. A little bit of an acting job at the end there on the hold.

I thought Jason inside seemed to do okay. They obviously had trouble with Jamal Adams coming from everywhere deep, secondary, off the edge, coming from different sides with his blitz package. So Seattle did a nice job there. But that's the problem here. Deep fenses are gonna keep taking chances and blitzing because the Eagles are not threatening the defense with the vertical game. They're not threatening defenses with a passing

attack to the wide receivers. It's screen. Get the ball out, uh, you know, get it to the tight ends in the middle of the field. It's nothing down the field to wide receivers. So look, I thought Carson Wentz played tough. I thought he is running forty two yards rushing, you know, toughness.

Moved the change at a little spark. I like that, referring back to what you said earlier, Amy, But until this offense can get the football to Travis Folgan and Jalen Rager al Shan Jeffrey, it's just hard to score points in the league when you have to put together eleven paid dry eleven play drives and and go seventy five yards. Eagles offense needs that big play punch and they just have not gotten it in these last several weeks.

We thought, you know, going back to like the baltimorean Pittsburgh game, John High Tower running down the field, added some speed. Where is that explosiveness in this offense? It's been a wall the last three weeks after the bye week. The offense has not been productive at all. So again, interested to hear what dougas to say here in just a few minutes. Yeah, well, and Dave, clearly a frustrating performance for this team that continues to stay bought in.

And there are plenty of teams in the NFL that have faced less adversity than this Eagles team. And you get the sense that the players have quit on the team, that there's trouble in the locker room. I'm curious for you, on hand, from what you can see along the sidelines, what can you tell us about the body language, especially

on defense. We heard reports from Lisa Salter saying that guys like Fletcher Cox had pulled Carson Wentz aside earlier in the week and gave him a pep talk and say we got your back, man, don't worry about us. We're here for you. What did you see from the body language on the sideline? Yeah, I thought the Eagles played with intensity tonight, particularly on defense. I thought they showed up, they were physical. I like that they have

not quit, they have not pointed fingers. I think that this team still is focused in understanding that there's still a race to be had here, believe it or not, in the NFC East. But I also see a Seattle team that really has that swagger, that confidence. That's something the Eagles are lacking when I watched them in this environment. And these are the only sounds you hear? Are there

two different sidelines? All right? Well, Dave, we are looking forward to hearing from coaching players a little bit later. We appreciate your insight as always. Thanks so much. All right, guys, tough win tonight, three to seven and one, and the schedule doesn't get any easier Green Bay next week, Aaron Rodgers. That is going to be an extremely tough assignment for the Eagles. Oh yeah, especially after what they just did

to the Bears over the weekend. Another tough one for the Eagles, Thanks Dave, Ali guys, Yeah, we'll get into that matchup a little bit later. Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau in December. A tough test for any team, Fran. Let's continue to get into this one, and let's break down the offense, and I think where I want to go is talking about those long drives and of course third

down a big emphasis for the Eagles here. Some improvement there tonight eight of seventeen forty seven percent, but you are also were saying the forty seven percent is improvement. It wasn't until I believe the second half, the second half, where they converted their first third down in this one. So just what where did you see them struggle to in first and second down to get to that point where third down was such a difficult thing. Yeah, it was a little bit of everything. You know. It was

a feudal run game. It was protection, it was misthrows, whether it was an errand throw from the quarterback or drops from the receivers. It was a little bit of everything. It's what we've talked about. It's honestly, it's tough to discuss because we've been saying this for the last few weeks, right, and so for our viewers at home, that have been watching this for the last few weeks, they would say, yeah, like this is what we've been talking about. That showed

up again tonight. So all those same things, you know, continue to show up. I think the big thing with you know, turning it around on third down. Look, they came out. It wasn't like they ran different plays, right, I mean they were they were running the same plays that they've been running over the last few weeks. They were just able to execute and they went I believe seven for eight at one point on third down, seven

of eight consecutive attempts on third down. So whether they were running the football, we saw a quarterback draw, we saw some zone reads, we saw Carson take off, we saw some quick throws to Dallas Gottard, we saw some inbreakers. So yeah, I mean they did a little bit of everything. The third manageable certainly helps, but they converted some third nates, they converted some third and seven, so uh, you know, I think ultimately it came down to them getting into

a little bit of a rhythm. You talked about that spark. They got into a little bit of a rhythm offensively, it was really that drive where I believe it was first or second down, Carson Wentz dropped back and took off for you know, fourteen yards and kind of finished the run physically, and that that gave them a little bit of juicy. I think that that got them into a little bit of a rhythm. And after that, I think that we started to see them move the football. But at the end of the day, I mean, the

slow starts have continued to plague this offense. I have five three and ounce against this defense. Uh, tough to swallow. You know, whether that's run game, pass game, it doesn't matter. It's tough to get over that. The defense did their job to kind of keep them in this. You know, it's fourteen nothing at one point when you had two fourth down stops, two turn overs on downs for that defense, it was a really valiant effort on their end, Especially

after that first drive. You're kind of wondering, is this going to be one of those kind of sloppy those sloppy games where there are a lot of bad penalties. The defense fount you know, I was able to hold firm and came back of the offense. The offensively just struggled to get things going. Yeah, the defense, like you said, forcing two turnover on downs for Seattle and a goal line stand that was really impressive, Derek Burnett making some

big plays on both of those for the Eagles. You talk about the Eagles drive before the half, scoring going into the half, which to me is one of the most important things I look for in a game, That momentum going into halftime. A lot of times, to me, it tells me who's going to win the game. Scoring before going into the half really big for the Eagles.

That was a drive that I think was over five minutes long, and then coming out of the half going down the field and taking another almost six minutes off the clock with a twelve play drive kind of didn't get and dunkin down the field there. It didn't feel easy, but you did feel like stringing together a twelve play drive ending up with some points on the board there and uh and of course taking some time off the clock.

Like I said, that was what I was looking for before the game started, was to keep the Seattle's offense off the field time of possession. Though Seattle does get the victory on that one thirty two minutes and fifty six fifty seven seconds to the Eagles twenty seven minutes, so leaving the Seattle offense with enough time to let Russell Wilson do what he does best friends. Yeah, and

ultimately looked. Yeah, they were able to get things going on those two drives, and converting on third down certainly helps. But you know what the big thing too, Amy like, they get that touchdown just before half and you're you're feeling good, and then you missed the extra points. So while the offense is feeling good, I feel like that that good will that you may have built that you as a team, you're like, all right, like we will get this, get things, you know, get this going the

right direction. You get the missed extra point and it's like, oh, you know, there was a little bit of that deflating feeling going into the locker room. Now they didn't let that get them. They came back out and like you said, you know, we're able to kind of continue to build off that. But ultimately still at the end of that it's not like they didn't reach the end zone again until that final drive on a hail Mary play well

executed hail Mary played. Great play by Travis Folgan to bat it down to Richard Rodgers made a great one hand and grab all that. That's great, but ultimately they were not able to reach the end zone again the rest of the game until that play, So, you know,

just not enough from the Seagles offense. Russell Wilson finished the game twenty two completions, completing seventy one percent of his passes two hundred and thirty yards, one touchdown, and not doing much damage on the ground six carries for twelve yards, no touchdowns there. What did you think about this defense's game plan against Russell Wilson tonight. I'm excited to dig into the film on Tuesday morning and really get a look at it, but I would say two things.

You got to see a good amount of it seemed like they mix things up from a coverage standpoint. Again, when I wait till get to the film to really say that with certainty, but they definitely mixed some things up from a coverage standpoint. And then also, it seemed to me like the defensive line played with really good

rush lanes, really good discipline. And what I mean by that is that guys weren't out of their gap trying to freelance it and trying to get home as pass rushers if they're responsible for the gap between the left tackle and the left guard. For instance, they stayed in that gap that way when Russell Wilson's trying to escape, he has nowhere to go. And I thought we saw that a couple of times in this game. Fletcher Cox

was able to squeeze the whole. Derek Partnett got a sack on fourth down that kind of was an example of that. So I thought overall, the gap discipline, the rush lanes from the defensive line seemed to be pretty strong in this game. And I thought on the back end they did some good things in terms of mixing up. Coach Doug Peterson is at the podium ready to talk to the media. Hey, coach, thanks for taking the time.

We'll get started here with John McMullin and then boo. Hey, Doug wanted to talk to you about that fourth and four play was about a little over eight minutes ago. It was a two score game at the time, So first, why did you decide to go for it? And then what did you see on the particular play. It looked like Carson and Dallas weren't on the same page. Yeah, um, you know, my mindset there was we got to stay

as aggressive as possible on offense. Um, you know, we had to try to make a play, get something something going. Uh And from my advantage point, UM, it just like Carson and Uh Dallas were we're not syncd up. It was a play we had used in the third quarter. They connected on it and it appeared that Dallas turned inside Carson threw it outside where where Dallas was on the first the first time we called the play. So just a matter of just those two guys being on

the same page. But as far as the decision to go, we had to make every effort to just stay and really get us, get us into this game. And and Uh just wanted to stay as aggressive as possible. And then z and Garrol Doug. There was a four game stretch this season where Travis Fulgham was the leading receiver in the NFL. Since the buy, it doesn't seem like he's been a big part of the game plan. What have you seen from al Shan Jeffrey that that had

him on the field more than Fulham tonight? Well, I think, uh, you know, Um, Travis is uh, you know, he's still a part of the offense and he knows he's got to continue to work hard each week and and uh and and play well and and al Sean is improving and getting uh you know, getting healthier, and um, you know, we've got to be able to use both those guys are two big targets, um, you know, for for Carson and UM, we've just got to continue to work and make make sure that both guys are ready to go.

Even then christ and Rogers Doug was the plan come in tonight to use Jalen Hurts more and if so wide didn't have happened, Um, not necessarily. The plan was to use him when we could. Uh. The way the game started, you know, we just didn't have many opportunities, too many three and out so I don't think we got a first down until the second quarter. It just we just didn't We failed to execute. So it just wasn't uh, um, it just wasn't you know, in the

in the in the cards. I guess it would speak you know, early in the football game, but uh, you know, no more, no less than then what we would, uh you know, use him each week and then Jeff McClean, hey, can you explain the rotation between Hurts and Wentz Um. It feels like maybe it would be a challenge for either one of those guys to to find some consistency when one's in for one play then the other and

then vice versa. Yeah, that's you know it is. It is a challenge for uh, for quarterbacks to do that. But you know, from an offensive perspective, if we can have a little change of pace there, you know with Jalen and mix things up whether we're running it or throwing it. UM. I thought the guys you know tonight, for the few plays that they you know, Jalen was in, they handled it well. Um the uh you know, it's just something well we'll continue to to work on um.

But yeah, it can it can be a little bit difficult, you know for uh for either one of the quarterbacks, you know, unless they can get you know, uh multiple snaps. But that just didn't happen. We were were too many three and ouns Jeff and then Mike ka uh Doug. A know, defense isn't more your side. But what was the plan to Jim's planning against against DK metcalf and

would you think of you know what he did versus slay. Well, Dk is a great, uh you know, big target as a good receiver, Uh de Slay you know, matched up with him all night long and battled and uh made some plays and and and DK made some plays. So um, you know I thought overall, he you know, he did he did some did some good things. Played tough. I mean that's a that's a tough uh tough receiver to to defend. And and um, you know one that uh I thought De Slagh did did did some good things.

Mike and then Zach Furman, Doug. When Jalen Rager was coming out, you guys selected him. You put an emphasis on speed. How why do you think you haven't been able to utilize that speed more in your play calling or at least on the you know, with completions down the field this season, well, um, you know some of it is some of it could be schemes, some of it could be uh, you know, Jalen still learning and

and understanding what what what has asked of him. Um, he continues to improve each week, and we still find ways to to try to get him in space. We did it a couple of times tonight. And that's just the thing is, you know, there's there's also a lot of speed on defense. I think sometimes people forget that. Um, and uh, you know, we do our part to to as as coaches to try to uh find ways creative ways to to do that. We did it with a

little reverse with him tonight. We we did uh a couple of receiver screens or aver you were screened to him. He had one critical mistake on a red zone play that uh we we were gonna throw on a screen. He made a mistake there, So, um, we just gotta keep working and uh, you know, battle through it, Zach and then Martin Frank, Hey, Doug, you seem to suggest that lack of offensive rhythm was why Hurts was not more involved early. But isn't that And like I guess,

can't that be a reason the play hurts more? No, and we can why not because it's not about one guy. You know, we had breakdowns across the board and um, it doesn't really matter you know who's back there. The mistakes were still going to be made and and um, you know something we gotta fix Martin and rob Maddy

it Doug. Um, when when you did jayling in there the first time you took Carson off the field, and I was kind of curious as to what kind of advantage you think that gives you with you know, without Carson being on the field, and also when you put him back in, Um, you know, the next time, you know, Carson was on the field, and that was like a hand off to Miles. Just kind of like the difference I guess between you know, Carson being on and off

the field when Hurts is in the game. Um. Yeah, you know, listen, when when Jalen's been on the field with Carson, Uh, defenses have been playing in a certain way, and as we have evaluated you know, those two together, putting Jalen on the field by himself, UM, you know, presents a little bit different picture for the defense. So um, that's why we did it. That's why we did it tonight.

And UM but I think I think we can still get some mileage out of using both both quarterbacks and then also Jayleen uh as the quarterback you know, by himself. Rob and then Ed Kratz, Doug Moss Sanders had five carries in the first half. Obviously, you were going up against the worst past defense in the league. Was that part of the fact that why he wasn't running as much in the first half is that you were trying to attack that defense or is it what they were

giving you. I just think they, you know, got after us a little bit in the run game, and uh, you know, uh got on some edges. You know, we we missed, we missed uh their safety a couple of times, and we had to make uh we had to make some adjustments. But but we knew probably going into this game that we were at least gonna have to put the ball in the air. Um, you know, to give ourselves a chance. It's a good rush defense, and uh it's a good uh good front and um, you know,

they did a nice job. We have time for two Morris, so we'll go ed Krafts and then less. Hey, hi, Doug, you mentioned earlier you know you didn't have your first first down until the second quarter. I think there was less than five minutes ago. It's not the first time, uh that's happened this year. I think it was the Ravens as well. If the first first down came late. Why why do you think, and you put a finger

on why that hasn't been fixed? Why this team continues to struggle to score in the first half or even pick up first downs. I think it just comes down to, you know, Um, you know, offensively, we've we've battled with a lot of injury, a lot of a lot of different movement parts up front with the offensive line guys

in and out. You know, it's just we haven't had the consistency and the continuity that you would like week in and week out that Um, you know, you look at offenses around the league that have stayed together and have stayed healthy. There there's continuity and there's consistency there, and we just haven't had that this season. And um, it's something that we uh we you know, we don't make excuses for it. It's it's where we are and

and uh, you know, we have to get better. Last question here with us that kind of played into what I was going to ask Doug, But I'll ask you in a slightly different way. Why are these week twelve? Why are guys not on the same page? You know they obviously Dallas Goddard and Carson Wentz had played together a lot. Uh, how do these mistakes keep happening? I mean it just comes down to each guy, you know, just just doing his job and not doing too much.

And sometimes sometimes when you get in these situations, you try to do too much. And and it's just a matter of not chasing plays, but but making the plays when they come to you. And um, you know we're going to continue to work and um, you know we're not going to make excuses for anything. And we got another ball game here in a couple of days, and and uh we got to get some of this, uh, some of this corrected and and uh and move on. Thank you. Thanks, Hey Dallas, thanks for taking the time.

We'll get started here with Marcus Hayes and then Nick Fierro. Hey, Dallas, I know you had a pretty successful gay. How did you feel out there? And you know you had a touchdown catch and can you tell us what happened on the interception in the end zone, the catch where you and Carson didn't connect. Yeah, I mean I felt good out there. Uh, we had a play call. It was just like a ten yard uh sit route. I tried

to work the leverage on fifty six. Um, I was kind of coming down an inside so he couldn't break up the play and I'd be able to make it. Um. Carson thought I was gonna be going down in a way and through it there. Um, you know, yeah, I should have been where he thought I was going to be Um, I'll take blame for that one. Um. Obviously, it was a crucial point of the game, and mistakes like that can't happen. Pick and then Paul DOMI yeah, Steve,

you know, just go back to that play. Two or these things showing up in practice, and if they're not, why are they showing up in games? The miscommunications. I mean, I think we ran that play four times. I might I think I had three receptions on it. The fourth time. I might have been trying to do a little bit too much. You know, they were kind of sitting two over there on me and I just went in there and I was trying to make a play. We needed it. I knew the matchup was good, and I knew the

ball was going to come to me. And I try to do too much. I'm on and Chris Mary Yeah, Dallas. Earlier in the fourth quarter, the fourth and two pass looked like you were just running a simple out route. If that doesn't get bad at a pretty good chance you catch that. I was on the other side of the field that was to Richard Rogers. But yeah, I think if it doesn't get bad at rich catch isn't able to turn up the sideline for a little bit of a big game. Chris, My question to you, Dallas,

what's the mood of this locker room right now? Going through these last three weeks? You kn't you You've been struggling to find ways to win and it just hasn't happened. So how do you how do you fix it? Um? Yeah, we just gotta keep going to work. We need to clean up the little things. The defense I thought played very well today. Um, offensively, we need eleven guys on the same page at all times, and uh, you know we haven't had that. We just need to go and

just keep fine tuning. You know, I think Prior was playing guard, he moved to tackle. Jordan wasn't playing he moved to guard or the other tackle, JP went inside. Um, we just need we just need, you know, to have the same lineup. We just need to keep working. Um. But the locker room, man, people are pissed. Uh. We got a lot of winners in that room and nobody likes to lose. Uh. It's tough going through a stretch like that. Um, but you know, I think we got

a team that's gonna stay together. We're gonna keep playing We're gonna go back to work on Wednesday and get ready for the Packers and go down there and give them everything we got and uh, you know, hopefully we can get to win there. We have time for two more, so we'll go bow and then last, Dallas, do you think the offense let the defense down in this game? Yeah? Um, you know, the defense they went down there and what they get a stop on the freaking goal line. Unbelievable play.

They stopped them on four down in midfield. When they play like that, we gotta convert. We gotta go down and score. So yeah, I think we did let them down, but I know that I was gonna have our back, just like if they're struggling, we need to step it up. We haven't done that as much as we need to this year, but um, you know we're gonna keep growing and we're gonna get there. Last question here with less Hey, Dallas, So why do these mistakes keep happening over and over again?

It just seems like the offense, if you kind of pan back a little bit, I think you were like, oh for five on third downs at one point, and then it got better. But you know, a lot of time was wasted before the offense kind of got into any kind of rhythm at all. Is that a question or a statement? What I was saying? What what causes all of these breakdowns? Why can't people get on the same page? Week twelve? I mean, I don't know. Um, I thought I was doing my job out there. I'm

gonna have to go and watch film. Obviously I left a few plays on the field, um that I wish I could have made. Um, But you know, when I'm in there, I can't see what everybody else is doing. But you know, it's a tough game. The defense that we played is is a good team. Um, they brought some different stuff. Uh thirty three, you never know where he's gonna be. He just he's just playing random. It seems that sometimes he's hitting different gaps. You never know

where he's gonna be. Um. But yeah, just as offense, we just got to be better. Um. Yeah, we'll have to go watch the film and kind of see where, uh we need to clean it up. But you know, I don't have the answer for you. Thank you, thank you, Dallas, Hey Slack, thanks for taking the time. We'll get started here with John McMullin and Martin Frank Hey slay. Uh obviously, Uh it looked like you were traveling with DJ pretty

much the entire game. Fought hard. How how difficult it is to go up against somebody like that, that that kind of size, that kind of strength, that kind of speed. Uh, it was it was a great brittle you know. I won't say it was difficult. It's just that, Um, I lost every fifty and um and you know, and that's not I'm usually be on the other side of that to day. I'm on the other side of it, you know. Uh, I let the team down. I told the defense, Uh, that game was on me. You know, I gotta play better.

But um, you know, uh get prost to the DK for being uh giving me the good work. You know, we are competing every play, but uh, yeah, I lost every fifty fifty ball, and UM, I gotta be better Martin and Jeff. It's like, um, how tough was that for you to see? To see that because it seemed like in a couple of those year had like really good coverage on him and he still made the catch and everything. I mean, you know, what what is that like? I mean, it was tough, you know what I'm saying.

Feeling like the players weren't going my way. And you know, uh, but like I said, he did a great job catching the ball. Man. He did everything. He uh did everything good as a receiver, you know. So you know it's my worst I say this by far, in my worst game I ever played in uh in the league. You know, I lost really like truly lost almost every fifty fifty ball, like I was probably offah and uh, I've never been that.

But like I said, pros to him, and he played his ass off today and I just gotta getting better. Jeff and the bow, Uh the slow can you take us through the two yard catch? We're just running basically deposts? And were you expecting safety help there? Honestly? No, I mean it was it was a blizz. He called all out there. They kind of protected up mass protected and UM, you know me as a dB uh anything you know

about all out blicks. Uh he kind of said the States because the ball was to come out pretty fast. But uh, Russell did a good job of saying that our guests and UM and mats protected and he took the shot. So you know, I kind of sat down at a at the yard mark and UM. After that you know it was speed on speed, good catch by him. Uh. You know, I just gotta be better at that. I gotta just finish that playing, you know, like I said, fifty fifty uh he and he caught it, so, like

I said, I gotta be better than that. Oh and then Chris Franklin, well you just said this was the probably the worst game of your career. Um. You know, obviously these are the games that they you were brought in for to stop a guy like dk Um. You said, you you feel like you let the team down. How does that feel? What does it feel like? I mean, I'm a man about what I do. I'm I'm always feeling great. You know, I'm always in a bad mood and no bad spirit. But I understand and I own

and and I got great ownership. I know. I know that I could change the game, and I know I could have helped. So I put that game with me because I posted it had and you know, did my job and shut him down. But like I said, he was making every catch possible, you know, every fifty fifty one. That's why it was his yard at the catch, no yat because I'm right there and I was, like I said,

he just made more plays than I did. And uh, and I take a real big ownership, man, because I feel like I wanted the best in the game and I'm gonna continue to always take my ownership. And I just say he got the best of me today. But I'm looking forward to going to work next week and it was this week and getting better man for the

team because they deserve it. I deserve it. And uh and this organization do christ And then at Cracks it's like, was there any discussions on the sideline by you or anybody that you know off to possibly get you some more help as mac as matcalf Cup having that big game? Hell not, I only know help kind of question that next one D and then Chris Murray, Hey, uh, slay just um, this team is stuck at three interceptions, hasn't had one since October twenty second? Have you ever been

on a team like that? And why why so few interceptions in week twelve? Here? Um, just because like I've been on a team like that before. You know, in Detroit, shoot, I think we want to have partly like seven seven to eight totally. You know, when you play a lot of man, your back is turned to the ball and you know, it's hard to getting them type of picks you know, every play, so like that's what it is. You know, you see guys that play zone or guys that do a lot, those are guys that make a

lot of picks. Um, you know, so when you play a lot of Man, you know, it's tough. That's why you see some of the great corners. That's with great man corners as in yourself as you can see Dion, I mean not Dion, but uh Vis, you know, but like twenty nine twenty eight because he played a lot of Man, you know. But it's that's that's what comes with it. You have time for one Marshall and here on Cress. Yeah, I gotta ask the question, how do you how does this locker room fix everything? The last

three weeks? You have it one game, it's like you're in it, but you're not in it. How do you fix it? I mean, how do you how do you stay motivated? I mean she I'm you know, I can't answer for everybody else, but as to me as a player, I'm always motivated because the fact that I know guys depending on me. Man, I come in this locker room and look at their faces, we go to work together, we compete together, we make each other better some type

of way. And I and I'm really big on not letting folks down, you know, as in with that aspect definitely when it comes down, it's the most best team sport. It is, so man. I take my uh, I take my team stuff pretty seriously. Man. I always want to be the best for them. I always want to prepare the best for them. And like I said today, I prepare a great But you know, like I said, I lost every ball. Thanks, all right, have a good day.

I just love him so much. Man. Talk about a guy come into the podium after a rough day and saying I want to face these questions and look, I did not have my best game. In fact, Darius Slay says this was his worst game as a pro since he's been in the league, crediting DK Metcalf for playing a great game, for giving him that work today, and saying he lost every fifty fifty ball. He needs to

do better. He told the team he needs to do better, but he's confident in himself that they brought him in for games like this and he didn't get the job done. And that is a competitor. I love to see that, and it's not only taking responsibility but clearly enjoying facing a guy like DK Metcalf who got the best of him today. And I'm sure he's going to be looking forward to the next time those two gets to be on the field together. And look, we saw a little

chippy out there, and I don't hate that. This was a matchup. We were excited for going into this game tonight, and I just love to see Darius Slay's attitude after a matchup like that. Fran let me come to you with this and chalk a little bit about Dk Metcalf, who look, Darius Slay admitted he got the best of me tonight. He got every single fifty fifty ball, but he knock at the yards after the cash because I was right there. These are the words of slight. What

do you think Metcalf did that? They gave this defense Indurius Slay so much trouble at the end of the day. I mean, Dk Metcalf, we sat at the top in the Kickoff show. He's one of the toughest covers in the NFL. With his size, his straight line speed, he is a physical specimen. I mean you talk about who are the best corners in the NFL. You said last year the two best corners in the National Football League in twenty nineteen were Stephan Gilmore in New England, and

you would say Tredevious White and Buffalo. Metcalf played both of them over the last month and a half and he took both of their lunch money and he went straight debot from Friday on both guys. And then he you know, faal up at Jaalen Ramsey who's playing lights out right now, and Jalen Ramsey he's got those dimensions, he's got that skill set to be able to match him from a physical standpoint, and Jalen Ramsey gave him

trouble last week here a couple weeks ago. So you know, I think ultimately, look, when you look at DK Metcalfe, he's one of the toughest covers in the NFL. He was that way in college. He fell because of medical, right, every team passed on We heard about it a million times on the broadcast. Every team passed on him multiple times because of the medical. The medical was a big, big deal with him, um, you know, and that's why

he fell. But no, there was no questioning his physical tools and what he could be at the next level. And he has reached that, you know, that potential. Still has things to work on, but certainly has reached that potential. All right, And with that, Carson Wentz is at the podium. Let's take a listen. Hey, Carson, thanks for taking the time. We'll get started here with Dave Zangarrow and then John McMullin, Hey, Carson, slow starts have been kind of plaguing you guys all year.

What happened tonight? Yeah, you know the same thing. I gotta go watch the tape. M you know, I know some things we just missed, we didn't execute. Um. You know, I can be better early in the games. You know, I think they made some plays early and um did some things differently than what we had planned. But um, yeah, I mean the slow starts are frustrating, you know, That's

that's the biggest thing. I'm gonna go back and watch and see how we can change that and how we can change the momentum early in ballgames so we can not put ourselves behind the eight pall like that. John and Zach Berman, Hey, Carson, on the fourth and four play that turned into the interception, it looked like you and Dallas weren't on the same page. Can he kind of take us through what happened there? Yeah, I mean you hit it on the head. You know, we just

weren't on the same page. And you know that's on me. I gotta make sure we're we're squared away, we're on the same page. And um, you know, he had a big game. He had a big game, and we just missed a couple. But um, you know in that situation, that that matchup, you know, I thought everything was good.

He's our guy and you know him and I just we gotta make sure we're on the same page for that, Zach and then Martin, Hey, Carson, how does it affect you affect the offense and affect Jewen when he's coming on the field mid dride you're coming off. Yeah, I mean listen, when we're stagnant like that as an offense, you know, I'm all ears. You know, whatever coach is confident in. However, we can you know, get some momentum or you know, pick up a first down in that

case early in the game. And so obviously it's a tricky thing to navigate, but I think you know if it's going to provide us the spark that we need. Um, you know, hopefully going forward it can in those situations. But yeah, I mean, obviously we just didn't do enough all around tonight Martin and Jeff McClean Carson, there's kind of been a lot of talk and speculation, you know, about you possibly getting benched or something like that. I mean, does that weigh on you at all? Do you think

about that at all? And did that occur like during the game, any of that come up? Yeah, I mean I said it last week. You know, this is what you sign up for, and as a quarterback ever since you're a kid, you know you're you're prepared for for any of those Nothing's ever guaranteed, and so for me, I don't think about that though. I just try and go out and be the best player I can be in practice, prepare my tail off, compete my tail off, and um, you know, hopefully we can get this thing

turned around. But I don't think about those things. I'm gonna give it everything I got every time I step on the field. Jeff and then ed Bank Carson. Last week I think was forty seven drops. You only rolled out once this game. I don't know if it was one. Maybe there were another one, but I didn't see it a lot of this game either. It seemed like we ask you this every week and you say you like to roll out. Why aren't you being rolled out more? Yeah? I think, you know, we tried it a couple of

times tonight. You know, they made some plays where, you know, different pressures and different looks. I think that's what makes it tough against the defense like that, when they're different doing different edge pressures and everything. So, yeah, I'll have to go back and watch the tape. But you know, it was a part of the plan to some extent, but they made some plays that took it away MK. All right, Carson Doug talked a little bit going into

this game about trying to simplify things. Did that happen at times so offensively tonight or was it a lot of what we'd see in the last few weeks. Um, you know, I think maybe a little bit um you know, right wrong or in different you know, we just to make the plays, you know. I don't think it was scheme. I don't think it was a lot of those things. We just didn't make enough plays and win enough of our one on ones and and I didn't, you know,

make enough plays or making enough good throws. So I mean, um, yeah, I mean that's just how it was tonight. It was frustrating. Mike Kay and then Nick zero person. Um, obviously we saw Travis have that really great streak with you for those that stretched for the bye week. What are you seeing different in coverage when when he's lined up that that's kind of hurting that connection so far? Um, you know, nothing, really, you know, vastly different. You know, I think we were

just rotating bodies a little bit more. You know, obviously alstround is a bigger part of what we do. And um, people are you know, maybe a little aware of Travis after those couple of weeks, But um, he's still the same player and we're still gonna, you know, have him be a big part of this offense and him and I will connect more. Going for Nick and the Michael Long high courtion in the fourth order there right before it was actually at a play right before you were

sacked the time out. Um, it looked like Alston came out in the field from the sideline. He wasn't in on the play. You had a little bit of a conversation. Then he went back to the sideline. Can you share what went on there? Is that some words of encouragement or anything. No, I mean it was just some specific from the way that defensive back was playing. So nothing crazy. You have time for two more, so we'll go on

Mike and unless um Carson, thank you, Alio Carson. Some tough losses the last few weeks, he had some tough games ahead, but this is still a very competitive division. But can you just tell he's kind of cut a pulse on what do you think this team is at and and as going forward unless you go into Green Bay this weekend. Yeah, I mean we're frustrated. You know, we're frustrated. I know I'm frustrated. I hate losing. You know,

it's m it's very frustrating to have this result. You know, these last couple of week we're at this season, U. But the crazy thing about this league, in this division especially, is it's still wide open and guys know that. Guys know that, and you know we're looking ahead U to next week, getting this thing turned around and getting go in the right direction and hopefully you know, surprising people. Alright, less, Hey Carson, So We're in week twelve. Why do these

mistakes keep happening? Why aren't people connecting? I know you had a screen, a s crucial screen past tonight where the receiver just sort of took off. It looked like he didn't know he was running a screen. Why do these things keep happening? Yeah, I mean it's it's a tough thing to answer, you know. I mean, it's something that I think every one of us is accountable for and wants to correct, you know, And it's you know, you can you can say a lot of different things,

um to answer that question. But at the end of the day, we gotta be better. We gotta be better, and those mistakes can't happen. And I gotta be better making sure everyone's on the same page and everything going forward. And you know, I'm excited to turn that thing around. Um, turn this around. And UM, you know, like I said earlier, go surprising people. Thank you Carson, Thank you guys, thanks

for taking the time. We'll get started with bow Wolf and then Marcus Hayes Brandon, do you think the offense let the defense down tonight? Nah, it's a team game, man, you know, we just gotta figure out a way to keep on encouraging each other, keep on, you know, keep fighting, make sure we stay consistently on defense. And you know, we know the offense gonna get it right. You know, I just seen Carson. I know how how I mean

it means something to all of us. I mean, obviously things haven't been happening in the way we wanted to. But at the same time, man, it's no quit in us and we we got five games left. Slay, if you don't mind me following up, Slay also told us that that he felt that he let the team down. Um, what did you make of that? And you know, did

he convey that to you guys? I mean we talk about ownership, you know, I know Slay which he had a couple of plays back, but you know, we all we all wish we could have a couple of plays back, you know, because certain stuff didn't happen the way we wanted to on certain plays. But I know that Slay he had dog. You know, he gonna come ready to go, you know next next play mentality. Uh, you know he's a fighter and so um, I mean, man, I'm riding

with him every time. I just felt like, you know, DK did made some good plays, but at the end of the day, we all got some We all got some fart in this thing. Marcus and Chris Murray, Hey Brandon. Three things. Can you talk about the fourth down stands and Derek Barnett, who's had kind of an up and down season, and the way that you guys contained Russell Wilson as as a runner, he's hurt you before in the past and he was there they're leading Russian. Can

you talk about those two things? Well, we knew that coming in that you know, he's been beating us on the run, like you know, it's been like you know, just missed the Simmons here, or like we let him out on my end. Like as far as like being up contain you know, sometimes you might want to go inside. Uh, we we didn't want to rush scared, but at the same time we went out there, we rushed and we

all was on the same page. Just collapsed in the pocket on Russell because we know Russell try to find those little holes based off the film that we watched, um you know, the last couple of times we played them, and so we tried to do a really good job of that and I think we did do a good job of containing them, hitting them. But you know, we knew he was gonna make plays, and you know, we just didn't make enough places to win the game. And can you talk about Burnette in the fourth down stance.

He's the guy that made the play. What did that do for your defense? And how big is it for him to do that? You know, Uh, we took it as disrespect for them to keep going on fourth So you know, for dB to go out there and make a play, I knew he you know, he was coming off. I knew he was pissed, pissed off that they was still on the field, you know, on fourth down. And you know we were talking about that as defense, We're

gonna hold them, were gonna hold them, you know. Uh. And we got that done, uh, based off you know, just the effort of everybody as dB got off and you know, we got numbers to the ball to get it stopped. And you know, I'm happy for dB because I know dB definitely was dealing with injuries in the beginning. But you know, I know dB as a ball player and Henna, he's gonna come to work every day. Christen rob Kessner, Yeah, how does the leadership but all the

captains of this team, keep these guys together. But obviously a fust rain three weeks. How do you guys keep your heads up? And what can be done to kind of get you guys out as funk right now? Well, you know what can be done is getting w you know what I'm saying, getting to win, putting it all together offense, defense, special teams, and uh, not making a you know, not making mistakes. I mean, mistakes gonna happen, but you know, uh, and critical critical downs when we

need it. We can't be making you know, just silly penalties. You know. A couple of penalties I feel we can control is the personal files. Of course, you know, people get chippy and I understand that, but we got to own take ownership of you know, hey, we we can't be the guy that you know, cost this a drive because we want to extend it because we still got something to say whatever, like, you know, we just got to own our stuff and move on. But those the

stuff that we could control. We could control those type of penalties, and I think that, uh, you know, we we just got to continue to keep on holding honing in at the defense. We got to stay on top of you know, people when they get chippy, we understand, you know, that's part of the game. People got the energy. But you know, we got to be smart in situational football. We have time for a few more, so we'll go

Rob add and Jeff Hey BJ. During the telecast tonight, the ESPN broadcasters were seeing that on the flight back from Cleveland that Fletcher Cox made it a point to seek out Carson and just say, hey, we got your back. Have you noticed any confidence concerns with Carson And do you feel, as a veteran leader that you need to do stuff as something of the same with him right now? Given a struggle. I mean I've done that, you know, every week. I always try to let them know, like, man,

I've been there. I know what it feels like, you know, for people to you know, feel like get him out of here. You know, he's this and that, and it's like, man, the only way you turn that around is by working hard and making sure that you could just keep on working your technique, keep keep keep doing, you doing stuff behind the scenes like you're doing. Eventually all that stuff gonna start coming together for you again. I don't see you know, Carson, you know having too much going on.

I try not to, you know, be in this ear about too much because you know, I know everybody's coming at him. But I tell him to block out that noise because at the end of the day, people donna eat them words one day, you know what I'm saying. But you gotta stay focused, gotta keep your mind focused and not clutter with who ain't never played. You know, people talk, they have their opinion, they get paid for that.

We get paid to go out there and make plays, and so you focus on that everything and start turning around and uh, you know, we got your back because you know, we don't want to divide our team and we want him to know that, you know, we were riding with him, you know, to the in Hey, BG, just as far as turnovers goes, team doesn't force alot of turnovers, especially interceptions. Why why do you think it's been so challenging to to kind of turn the ball over?

You know, it's just sometimes it happens like that. I mean, we talk about, you know, those good defenses, you know, winning the turnover turnover margin, you know what I'm saying. Uh, And some games we do some games, some games, you know, we we don't. We gotta we gotta stake consistent, you know, with everything, and you know, we we even talk about

just even up front. We gotta make sure that we continue to keep on swarming the quarterback, making a rough one back there so he can, uh, you know, so he can make a mistake and you know, throw us one or you know, get a tip. I mean, you know, it's it's everything kind of works together, d line. Uh. You know, getting after the quarterback definitely helps the dbs, and and dbs definitely help us on certain times too, you know, helping us get the sack, you know, taking

away they first looks. But it's all we all work together, you know. Uh. And and I gotta say, we gotta stay consistent. And the only way we stay consistent is just keep on working and block out all the noise and you know, just focus on us. Last question here with Jeff BG, do you guys get the sense that you're playing for Doug's job. I mean at the end of the day, where everybody's playing for they are at the end of the day when when stuff go bad, we know that you know, they're trying to weed out

the ones that don't want to be here. And I don't see that, you know, I don't see people not want to be here. People definitely are, you know, coming to work every day. But you know, we gotta keep on holding people to a high standard of you know, not beating ourselves. And you know we I feel like Doug got us fighting and we always we always gonna fight for whoever is there. But I think, you know, definitely for sure, we're trying to make sure we keep

them here. Thanks, thank you. Okay. Veteran defensive lineman Brandon Graham with the final words from the players after tonight's loss. We're going to take a quick break on the other side. Of course, it's the RICO Review, the nominees for the Toyota Player of the Week, and the Jamison Nightcap. Stay with us. This does not look like a discount sofa. It's not. Everything is Zella's quality furniture. And I give you a discount Bob's discount. Interesting, I remember this for

as long as I live. Bob, you look so young, do you remember it's not discount furniture. It's quality furniture at our discount Bob's discounts only at Bob's discount furniture. Welcome back to the postgame show presented by Rico. Now it's time for the Rico Review tonight starring Dallas Goddarthy team's leading receiver, with his touchdown putting the Eagles, helping the Eagles score going into the second half. Here's fran Duffy. Let's look at this touchdown throw from Carson Wentz to Dallas.

Got a really good design here by the Eagles on this play. On the previous play they had actually thrown a screen to got It, very similar to this. Look where got It was lined up on the right side behind Alshon, Jeffrey and Travis Folgum was out in the perimeter as well. And all you're gonna see here is the little short motion of last time it was got It. At this time it's Greg Ward. He's gonna step inside and catch a quick throw from Carson Wentz and try

and leap forward. Eagles try and use the same action here where Carson Wentz is gonna drop back, look to his left and try and throw a pump. That's gonna try and get these defenders in white jerseys out to the perimeter clear some space in the middle of the field. The other aspect of This is the route combination from the two tight ends. What you're going to see here from the Eagles down on the red zone is a concept they've run a number of times over the last

few years. It's a stick nod all right. That's the stick nod route from Dallas Goddard and then a return route. That's the second option here for Carson Wentz. That's from Richard Rodgers. So Carson Wentz gonna drop back first, he's gonna throw the pump fake to Greg Ward. Then he's gonna work to his next progression. That's going to be Dallas Goddard. That's really the first read here on this play. If that's not open, then you get to Richard Rogers. So we're gonna let this play for a sec and

then pause. Watch as soon as Carson Wentz drops back, he's gonna take a look, throw that little pump fake. We're gonna see this route about to establish itself. He's settling as if he's going to run the stick route, and that's gonna try and get that safety to try and see if he can bite to the perimeter. That's gonna allow Dallas Goddard to work wide open in the middle of the field. You can see the linebacker. He's gonna jump here. This linebacker, Bobby Wagner, he's already working

out towards Greg Ward. That's gonna create a nice, wide open space right in the middle of the field. We gonna let this play. Look at all the space that Dallas Goddard's got to work right in front of the safety. Carson hits him for a touchdown. Good design there by the Eagles nice two play sequence. Setting this play up with the screen on the previous play. Eagles get into the end zone, making a one touchdown game. Going into

the locker room now. If your chance to vote for the Toyota Player of the Week, go to Philadelphia Eagles dot com slash Toyota Player of the Week to catch your vote and get a chance at a brand new Toyota. And Tonight's nominees in this Eagles game, defensive end Derek Barnett, Eagles tight end Dallas Goddard, and Eagles defensive back Rodney McCloud. Derek Barnett Tonight three tackles, including two tackles for a

loss and a sack. Two quarterback hits including two or and two big fourth down stops, making his presence felt in the backfield all night. Dallas Goddard a team high seventy five receiving yards and a touchdown, catching seven out of ten targets tonight, and then Rodney McLeod four tackles, three of them solo in a secondary that came to play against a Seattle offense with a lot of weapons. Friend,

my vote is going to Derek Barnette tonight. I think anytime you see multiple fourth down stops and that guy in the backfield, quite a season he is having, especially after he's dealt with injuries through a lot of his time in the NFL, especially this season, and he's having a great season. Two fourth down stops. He's getting my

vote tonight. What about you? Yeah, And I honestly, you could make the argument for Dallas Goddard once again leading this team and receiving I think you can look at some of the big plays offensively and say, yeah, I would give this to Dallas Goddard, But I'm gonna side with you here. I gotta go with Derek Barnett. I think ultimately, number one, you got to give some credit to the defensive side of the ball. I thought the defense really came to play on Monday night, you know

at the link. And then the second part of this is going to be the fact that Barnette, what he did in the first half, those two fourth down stops on those two drives to open the game really kept the Eagles, you know, kind of hopes alive earlier. While the offense was kind of sputtering to that start, I think that the defense was able to kind of keep things going. The two fourth down stops critical to I'll give Derek Barnett the not here. I love it, So it's unanimous for the two of us here on the

postgame show. All right, now, it's time to look ahead to next week with our Jamison nightcap. We alluded to it earlier. The Green Bay Packers the Eagles on the road. This is going to be a tough matchup. The Packers in first place in the NFC North there eight and three. They're coming off a beatdown of the Chicago Bears forty one to twenty five. And the last time these teams played at lambau Field, the Eagles won thirty four twenty seven. That was early in the season. I think it was

late September there to September twenty six. Aaron Rodgers at Lambo in December A different conversation entirely. A nineteen and three record for Rogers at Lambou Field in December. So fran a tough matchup here for the Eagles against a very tough A good Packers team is a tough opponent for any team in the NFL, and that's what they're getting this year. Yeah, you know, we saw the stat there. The Eagles scored thirty four points in that game last September.

They have not cracked twenty since the bye week. So obviously we'll need to be able to do that. One way to do that, no turnovers, no sacks. Eagles haven't done that really in this twenty twenty season. They did that in that game against Green Bay. So you go on the road against a tough opponent, you're gonna need to, you know, really play good football, good solid team football on both sides of the ball. I've spent a lot of time studying this Packers team on both sides over

the last week or so. It's a good team. You know. You look at Aaron Rodgers, He's playing as well as I've ever seen him play. Right now, he has really brought into that offensive scheme with Matt Lafleur. He is not playing outside of structure. He's been a little up

and down with his play. Honestly, I would say for Eagles fans, Aaron Rodgers kind of turning around really kind of gives you hope to Okay, this is what Carson Wentz can turn his play around, because what he's done really, you know, kind of turning it around there in Green Bay is really impressive. Because Aaron Rodgers really looks like his former MVP self here in twenty twenty. Davante Adams is an absolute stud, one of the best receivers in football.

Then on the defensive side, they've got some guys that can turn the ball over, some blue chip players both in the secondary and upfront as well. Yeah, there were some growing pains there in the early times of the Aaron Rodgers Matt Laflour combat. Seems like the two of them really firing on all cylinders this season. A complete Green Bay team on both sides of the ball will be a big challenge there for the Eagles, And of course we will be right back here to preview that

one for you. On the kickoff show presented by Exalta and the postgame show when that game ends. We will be at three forty pm Eastern December sixth. It is a December football game. That is where we are in the season. Three forty pm we will be right back here with the kickoff show presented by Exalta. Fran and I will be previewing this matchup against the Green Bay Packers. The Eagles on a little bit of a short week, I'm sure eager to put this matchup behind them and

look ahead to another tough opponent. Of course, as always, all week long coverage leading up to that one on Philadelphia Eagles dot Com and all of our channels. We will see you next week. Everybody, have a great week.
