So they do something there we go and as soon as this show is done, I'll be heading out to Detroit to have a good time and watch the Eagles beat to tomorrow and get this thing turned around. Glenn, I'm feeling like two thousand and eight all over again. You remember what happened, Oh, I

remember what happened. It was Thanksgiving night. The Eagles had played terribly the two weeks before that, right, McNabb had been batty Baltimore, right, and then all of a sudden they come back that night with low expectations and they crush Arizona something like forty eight to twenty whatever was ban something like that, and yeah, can you have that? Can you get the resurgence? Well, let's hope so. And the only way to have that happen is to win

against Detroit. We're gonna take a deep dive into our first look at the Detroit Lions, a team that's a big resurgent two straight wins when they've ripped apart their coaching staff in their front office. We'll talk to Tim Twentyman of Detroit Lions dot com to find out how the Lions have turned things around, and of course Glenn mcnow with three of his five bold predictions for this game. Let's gets caught up on everything happening with the Eagles as they pack things up and get ready for the

Detroit Lions. It's our Eagles three sixty update. Hello Eagles fans, and happy Thanksgiving to all of you out there. I'm Chris McPherson here for the three sixty update. All of you want to know who is going to start a quarterback for the Eagles when they take on the Detroit Lions in the Bird Days showdown at Ford Field. Well, that question remains unanswered at this point, as Sam Bradford was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, but he was

listed as questionable by the team. Two players whom we know will not play against the Lions are Titan Zach Ertz and running back Ryan Matthews. The good news for Ertz is that he practiced, albeit in a limited capacity, for the first time since suffering a concussion in the loss to Tampa Bay. Two other players along with Bradford, are questionable for the game, and they both play along

the offensive line. Senator Jason Kelsey is battling a knee injury he did not practice at all on Wednesday, while tackle Jason Peters is also questionable due to a back problem. Obviously, the performance of the offensive line will greatly impact no matter who starts at the quarterback position. Here's Bradford, as well as Mark Sanchez, on preparing for the uncerts that lies ahead on Thursday. You know, like I said, it's kind of hard to throw out a percentage or you know,

gauge chances on going. Like I said, I think if it continues to progress and it gets better, then you know, I'd like to be out there. But you know, ultimately it's going to be you know, in the trainers and in the coach's hands. I'm not worried about it. It's you got to prepare and take all the reps seriously. So that's what I've done. All week and I'll be ready to go on Thursday. The Eagles concluded their short

week of practice on Wednesday and travel to Detroit. Now, the quick turnaround from last Sunday's loss is great from the standpoint that they get the taste of the loss out of their mouths and have another opportunity to play that much sooner. However, the flip side is there's not much time for extra preparation or fine tuning the XS and o's. In fact, as a players will tell you, it's more of a mental prep this week and making sure that your body is fully recovered from last Sunday's game.

I mean, yeah, I think so. You can't really dwell on anything. You have to really get after some of the corrections to move on. Right now, we're just trying to shake it off and get ready for these Lions because we only got a couple of days and it's all mental this week, and we just got to make sure we know what they're gonna throw all us. Yeah,

I don't. I don't think it's personnel because the guys that we have, we've gotten it done with the group that we have, so to say it's personnel, that's not that's not fair as is. We had a really horrible outing that was very uncharacteristic of our team. So I think emotions, if you're playing with emotions, you get it

gets to you, you know what I mean. I think if you know you go out and play, you know, you know for each other and uh and as a team, you know you have great a great game on Thursday. now A. Lots to get to first. Before we take a look at the Detroit Lions, we take a look at the Eagles upcoming schedule and it is a doozy for the Eagles. A little break after this game, Glenn, and then it's just time for all of a sudden, a rugged stretch run. That's

no break. I mean a couple extra days. But yeah, you got the Patriots after Detroit, and then it really doesn't get easy. Buffalo is a pretty good team. Arizona is a very good team. So those next three games, you gotta beat Detroit. You gotta win at least one of those games. Two is a little optimistic. Then you play Washington, the Giants. Oh, I can't do it there, Buffalo comes to town. Yeah, still got nine wins in us, still believing, still actually still hoping, hopeful, hopeful, hope, it's

a good word. All right, Let's go with Detroit here, the Detroit Lions playing very good football right now. Our first look at then we begin at the quarterback position. Matthew Stafford underachieving for much of this season, but he is really talented. He's got some weapons. Your view of Matthew Stafford running that Detroit Lions offense well, I think he's got a great arm. I think he's really kind of fallen from what he was a couple of years ago,

second in the league in interceptions with twelve. He gets a little careless, he gets a little two bold. I think Matthew Stafford is the kind of guy who, as much as I think he's got talent, you can go in there and make him look bad. Yeah, and that is going to be very important to get pressure on Stafford. Now in the backfield for the Eagles, of course, DeMarco Murray, he is solid, strong, going to get the football a lot.

I would imagine for Detroit, they've got the rookie Amir Abdullah, explosive player may be more dangerous in the receiving game then in the run game. They want to get him into space, a big challenge for the Eagles linebackers and the safety's in coverage. True, and their run game is terrible. Their top three rushers are averaging three point four yards of carry. Abdula is not. He doesn't get anything when

he carries the ball from the line of scrimmage. They're just particularly bad at that, which given where the Eagles have been the last few weeks against the run. I think they get a little bit of a break this week. Okay, wide receiver for the Eagles, of course, George Matthew is still having a solid season. Four Detroit, another look at a freak, somebody who just redefined the wide receiver position. I always enjoy watching him. He is absolutely a Clydesdale

out there. I mean, just just a beautiful athlete to look at. And what a football player. Calvin Johnson is the real deal. Well it's a Hall of Famer and he's still a great player. And he's dangerous no matter what his size, his speed, he's got great hands, he's got everything. You know. You face Dez Brian a couple of weeks ago and he's the same kind of guy. And by the way, Golden Tape the number two receiver

also very very solid. One thing he doesn't have, though Glenn is a lot of touchdown catch There's only three for Johnson to date. How about the tight end position the Eagles getting some production from Brent Sellek. He's been really good down the field. It's good to see him before involved. Yeah, and then for Detroit, Eric Ebron second year player, former first round pick, extremely talented and again a tough matchup. This is where Keiko Alonzo really has

to be a factor. I really hope so. And Abron is a young player, is kind of learning his way. He's going to be a lot better two or three years than he is now. But very dangerous player. They got good weapons, yes they do. And then defensively, the Eagles have been struggling of late. We know that the run defense has taken a beating, no doubt about it. And so if it's kind of the Eagles defense is the run game against the Detroit Lions run game that's

not been very effective. You think that would favor Philadelphia? I do, And I think it kind of gives you that opportunity maybe to not have to obsess about that focus on them against the past and the takeaways Glenn which were so prevalent through the first ten games, at first eight games of the season, through ten games, nothing against Miami and then just that one on the weird fumble exchange last week against Tampa Bay. What has happened?

Why are the Eagles not getting their hands? Just un through my bold predections, before I can even give them up, I tell you why. I know that, I know, I know why has that now happened. I think because you're not getting the pass rush is why that doesn't happen. Right. Turnovers come because of pressure, and they didn't really put a lot of pressure last week. Am I to believe weeks? Am I to believe that that there are some bold predictions that include takeaway? Hold on. We'll get to it

in just a bit. When we returned, though, we're gonna talk about Detroit from their perspective. Chris McPherson goes behind enemy lines. Tim Twentyman from Detroit Lions dot com. It would follow, but they made so many changes and they responded. The Detroit Lions have won their last two games against Green Bay and against Oakland. Chris McPherson, it's time to go behind Enemy Lines with Tim Twentyman Detroit

Lions dot Com. Wello Eagles fans. I'm Chris McPherson, and welcome to this week's edition Up High Enemy Lines, presented by Getting Ready. My special guest this week is none other than the man who knows the lines better than anyone, Tim Twentyman from Detroit Lions dot Com. Tim, what's going on with the lines? Two straight wins? They're three and seven on the season. What's been the key to the

big turnaround in the last two weeks. Yeah, you look no further than the defensive side of the ball, really, and specifically their run defense. You know, this was the team that was allowing over one hundred and thirty three yards a game on average the first eight games of the season, over four and a half yards per carrying the last two weeks, thirty six carries, ninety seven total

yards and wins over Green Bay and Oakland team. You know, those two teams average a little more than two yards per carrying, so they've made both those teams one dimensional. When you can do that, which teams showed when they were doing it to Lions early this season, you know, it's tough to get things done offensively, and that's really been the difference the last two weeks is that defensive side of the football and specifically the run defense. All right,

let's look at the offense here for a second. Now, I know Megatron is still the guy there in Detroit, but what's going on with the rushing attack? Dead last in the league. The Eagles have to be looking their chops after giving up two hundred and thirty five yards to Doug Martin. If a Merodula goes for over one hundred yards, or maybe even former Eagle Joy Bell, I'm sure there'll be a lot of fans in Philadelphia scratching

in their heads. From your estimates him, what's happened with the rushing attack there in Detroit, Well, there'd be a lot of people in Detroit I think scratching their heads too, because the Lions haven't had a hundred yard rusher yet this season. And really it starts up front. You've got a rookie guard in Lake in Tomlinson. You've got a first year starter at center in Travis Swanson. You know, they've really rotated out their entire right tackle position. Now

it's Michael Ola. He's their third starter this year. So there really hasn't been a cohesive starting five unit up front for Lions, and that's really been their biggest issue up you know, in terms of the run game, it's generating run lanes, staying on blocks. They haven't been able to do it upfront, and Lin's run game has suffered because of that. What's our thoughts Tim on Matthew Stafford's performance this season. The veteran quarterback guided this team to

eleven wins a year ago. What do you think overall of his twenty fifteen performance today? Well, I think it's a little bit disappointing because you know, he made the Pro Bowl last year. Yes he was an alternate, but you know you saw the twenty two touchdowns and you saw the interceptions down twelve interceptions the lowest of his career for sixteen games, and now he's already above that through ten games here in twenty fifteen, and I think

that's been the biggest issue. You know, you thought maybe he was starting to break through in terms of the turnovers that we would see kind of that two to one ratio that every you know, coach likes in terms of touchdowns to interceptions. But you know, Matthew's just turned the ball over a little bit too much. And you know, we talked about the offensive line issues in the run game and that certainly you know, Speaks goes into effect two in the passing game. And he's just been pressured

too many times this year. He's been sacked too many times. He's been running for his life. I think that's led to some of the turnovers. But I think if you were gonna, you know, rate his performance in twenty fifteen through ten games, I'd have to say, you're a little bit disappointed because of what we saw last year, what we thought he was going to be this year. Now they've changed offensive coordinators, then there's been turmoil in that regard too, But you know, I think the turnovers have

been the biggest issue for Matthew Stafford this year. Something he's got, Um, you know, to turn around moving forward. He has the last two games and that's why they've won two games in a row. Tammy, can you give us a scouting report on some of the other receiving options, mainly Golden Tape and Theo Riddick, who is a Darren Sprowles like type of player out of the backfield for the Lions. Yeah. I think you hit it right on

the head there with the Darren Sprowles comparison. He leads all NFL running backs with fifty catches and in ten games, and um, you know, like Darren, he's a he's a terrific guy in the open field, I think, Um, you know, the linebackers can't guard him much like Darren Sprowls. And um, he's been a terrific outlet for for Matthew staff and he's really been one of their more reliable receivers. And then your Golden Tate, Um, he's just one of those guys yards after the catch is what you have to

be concerned about with Golden Tate. He's got that running back body and so when he gets the ball in his hands, he immediately turns into a running back. He always makes the first guy miss and he's tough to bring down, and so you know, I'd throw one more option maybe in there, two Lance more. You know, he's really been a true slot receiver for Detroit and he's got four touchdowns on the year. He leads the team, and you know, he's been a guy that that Matthew

Stafford has really turned to in that slot position. So you know, the Lions got a lot of receiving weapons. The issues is can they give Matthew Stafford enough time to go through his progressions and get to those receivers were good Megatron. little bit of his view into the future. If you will his bold Brits Cornact to magnificus and here we go. After last week's debacle against the Bucks, here's the good news, bold prediction. The Eagles will hold the Detroit Lions under one hundred yards rushing a mere Abdollah Theoretic and Joike Bell are averaging three point two yards to carry. If you can't stop those guys with their offensive line, you

can't stop anybody. The run defense recovers big this week, and of course this bold prediction is bolstered by the fact that Detroit is thirty second in the league with just over seventy rushing yards per game. You have, all right, all right, bring it on number two for the third week in a row. Brent Sellek is going to lead this team in receptions. It's good and it's not good. It's good for Brent Selleck and you like to see

him part of the offense again. And with Zach Ertz out, obviously he's going to have the opportunity, but you really want to see more of it come from the wide receivers. We have it, so Brent Selleck, he's going to be your leading your leading receiver this week because he's score a touchdown. Sure, Bay, I like brand. I think he defines that we've talked about a true Philadelphia Eagle. Yep, all right, number three, Dave. You know I'm gonna like

this one. You know, on Thanksgiving they always do the thing in the end, the guy, the best player in the game gets the Turkey leg or whatever it is. Yeah, well it's gonna be Ezekiel Ansa, who is the Detroit Lions great pass rusher. He's got eight sacks already this year. He's a monster. The Eagles past protection has been kind of spotty. You know, we don't know even if the Eagles start the game with Jason Peters and left tackle and Lane Johnson right, we never know how they're going

to end in Zeke Ansa or Ziggy. I guess it is great at moving all around. He's going to be the guy eating the turkey lever thing on this day. My bold predictions that the Eagles will score plus twenty eight points in this game. How about that the Eagles offense has been just folded me their pal. The Eagles offense has been so inconsistent this season. This is the game, Glenn, where they put it all together. Early success will tell the tale. Look, the Eagles have to understand the urgency

of this football game. A loss here it is dire, dire circumstances. I believe Eagles will respond, and I believe Eagles will play a fantastic football game in front of a national television audience again for the second year on Thanksgiving. And I believe. I really hope you're correct. Yeah, but as we all do, why not if you're gonna look ahead, why not be optimistic looking ahead. We've got one segment to go on Eagles three sixty. We'll get our final
