Coachy. Looking at the offense, you've only scored seven points in the first quarter in five games. How do you really get to fixing that portion of the offense. That is something that's uh, you know, something that we're very aware of, um and and something that we try to emphasize even in practice by how we start in practice. I want to make sure that you know, we're doing everything at the beginning of practice that allows us to start fast, meaning meaning we got to execute better. We
got to be right on point. Yeah, and you know it starts there. Um and and quite frankly, you know we're doing we're doing things well to get down there. We're coming away with either a field goal or in this case tonight, a turnover, you know, some penalties and just things that have really kept us from scoring a couple of touchdowns. How frustrating is it when you have the pre snap pills and what do you do about that? All the pre snap stuff. Yeah, those are things that, um,
it just flat out can't happen. Um. You know those things we talk about going back to OTAs and the spraying and training camp and you know, um, you know it starts with me. I gotta make sure when I get a meeting that that you know, I'm on point. I'm reiterating the fact that, hey, guys, we you know, these are the things, and show the players, show them exactly, whether we agree with the call or not, whatever it might be, to show the players and show the show
the mistakes so that we can learn from them. You had trouble winning on third down again today only two of nine and third downs. Where's the crux of that problem? A lot of times it comes from our first and second down execution. We're keeping ourselves in third and you know seven, eight, nine pluses and those are those are tough. When teams just come out and flat out pinning their ears back and rush the passer and give you exotic
blitz looks, it's it's hard. And so we're putting ourselves in in hard situations that we shouldn't be in and and we should be you know, we try to be in more of the third and two to threes and fours and five where you can you can you can throw is a little bit faster ball out of coming out of Carson's hand, a little bit faster, and you start the ability to run the football. So we're gonna look at that, and uh, you know, we gotta we
gotta get better. You got a short week this week. Now, how do you prepare and plan to get ready for the New York Jazz on such a short week? Yeah, you know, the biggest thing for for coaches and players in the National Football League is one. Um, you know, we're back to work tomorrow on another opponent, so we can flush this loss pretty quickly. We get back out on the practice field and get ready for another one
on a short week. But you know, I have a lot of confidence in my staff, a lot of confidence in these code, these players, and um, you know, we're we're gonna get We're gonna get this thing fixed and that and that's starts with me. I'm gonna make sure I do everything I can to help this football team and and and and be successful that way. And um, I'll look forward to get back out on the field tomorrow. Thanks good log on Thursday night. Thank you
