The Anti-Aging Promise

SPEAKER_00

Are you aging faster than anyone you know? Well, I'm gonna tell you how to stop that and what you can actually do to anti-age that actually works. I'm gonna talk about cost effective things. I'm gonna be talking about supplements, peptides, diet, and it's not what you think, even on the diet. Uh, and I'm gonna talk about classic mistakes that people are making. And this show is going to surprise you because most of what I'm gonna talk about, it's not what you think.

But I am gonna talk about stem cells and regenerative medicine. But this is actually the stuff that works. I'm 60 years old. I practice every one of these things myself. My wife and I don't do Botox or fillers. This is what we do. Stay tuned. Anti-aging strategies that actually work and really don't cost that much, and they're non-toxic. Okay, that's what we're going to talk about on this podcast.

Biological Age Testing And Results

Look, I'm not saying this to brag or boast, but fact is, I'm 60 years old and I'm told that I do not look my age at all. More importantly, I absolutely don't feel my age. And you know why that is? Because my cellular age, my biological age is actually far younger than my actual age. And that's measurable. And I've done some really cool tests along the way to actually prove that.

But here's the thing: I changed it, meaning that there was a time where I actually did one of the first tests, which was a telomere test. I was 11 years older than my actual age, and then I went 14 years the other way. But okay, that's a big swing. But everything I'm gonna teach you right now in this podcast is actually how I did it. My wife's 58, and she's avoided all hormones. My wife and I have done no Botox. We do no fillers, nor will we ever, by the way.

Um, but I'm gonna tell you what we do do. And I'm gonna tell you what we do do for our face and what we do as far as stem cells, but also the things you can just do on your own that actually work. Even peptides, some peptides, some diet changes, and even the exercise, all of this put together can slow down aging. But there is one thing that has impacted our aging more than anything.

Toxins As The Real Aging Driver

And I'm gonna start with that because it's what I've been teaching for over 20 years. I mentioned that when I was sick, my cellular age was 11 years older than my actual age. Well, that's because I was toxic. So if you want to age faster than anyone you know, then it's simple. Don't detox your life. Don't detox your cells, uh, meaning that toxins really accelerate aging at the cellular level, right?

They can even turn on genes that we don't like, and we end up with diagnoses like autoimmune and uh different conditions that literally trigger us to age faster. They also cause something called senescent cells. These are cells that actually live too long and age us prematurely. Toxins actually create more senescent cells. There was a study early in COVID, and they found that the young people that got most sick, even to death from COVID, actually had the greatest number of senescent cells.

Well, who has the most senescent cells? More toxic people. So if you don't follow me for all my uh detox strategies to detox your life, follow me on Instagram at drpompa. But also you could go to Pompa program where I've done teachings on um really what's happening to hormones because of toxins and more importantly, what to do about it.

So my detox strategies, uh, this isn't the show for that, but it this is really important to understand that toxins really are the number one cause of premature aging. Here's a one you can understand. You can spot smokers, right? People that smoke end up with a lot of toxins. And by the way, not the just the nicotine, it's the toxins that are in the nicotine, in the cigarettes, that really drive the uh premature aging.

But you can tell a smoker their hair, their skin, there's a look, they age prematurely, right? Long distance runners age prematurely because they put themselves in an oxidative state, very similar to a toxic state. So absolutely just some examples to understand that if you want to accelerate your cellular age, and that means not only will you look older, but more importantly, you're gonna have less energy.

You're going to trigger more genes of susceptibility, autoimmune conditions, et cetera, and you're gonna put yourself at great risk for chronic disease. So that is the reason why cellular detox that I've been teaching for many, many years, is the first, and that's the foundation. Okay, let's have a little bit of fun because that sounded bad and doom and gloom.

The Five-Day Fast For Autophagy

But let's talk about just a diet strategy, the number one diet strategy that you can do. You ready? Here it is. Am I gonna tell you the perfect diet? Nope. Am I gonna tell you to stop eating sugar? Nope, but you should. Am I gonna tell you to stop eating seed oils? Nope, but you should. Am I gonna tell you, okay, you get the point. Um, the number one diet thing you can do is actually not eat fast. Yeah. If you want to anti-age fast, all right, I'm gonna make it reasonable.

I'm gonna give you um an extended fast goal, meaning five days. Okay, and I'll tell you two fasting options to do that once a year, because studies show that you can literally, and this was uh actually um a cancer doctor who said this, um, one of the top premiers said if you do one fast for at least five days to a week, you will decrease your chance of cancer 95%. So I believe them because I've seen the results and I know the science.

Okay, I'm gonna talk about intermittent fasting daily and how to incorporate a little bit of that correctly because if you don't do it correctly, you could actually age faster. Okay, let's talk about this five-day fast. Why five days? For years I did five days, and now science actually supports it because it would take at least three days for most people to go, I feel good. So I said, great, let's ride it out for at least one or two more days to really get the most benefit of that.

Well, now science shows it takes three or four days for people to hit something called max autophagy. And what does that mean? That means that your body's actually getting rid of these bad cells. Those senescent cells, I said, age you prematurely, drive disease, cancer, et cetera. So when you hit day three, day four of a fast, you hit maxotophagy, meaning your body's crushing those bad cells. You know why? It's using them for energy. It's so smart.

That innate intelligence that God put in your body is so smart that it doesn't get rid of good cells for energy, it gets rid of the bad ones, the troublemakers. Yep. And it breaks them down for the amino acids and the energy that it needs. It's that smart. It's called autophagy. And uh the 2016 Nobel Prize was given to the gentleman who really put autophagy on the map. But fasting is the cheapest, most effective way to get rid of those aging cells called senescent cells.

Some people call them zombie cells, but fasting, you crush them. So five days because day by day four, you're in max autophagy, carry it out one more day and crush them. Something else happens. Anti-aging on day five. You have your max level of growth hormone output on day five. After that, it stays the same or trickles down, but max happens on day five. So we want that growth hormone spike and we want to get rid of the max amount of bad cells. Fast once a year. What if you fast twice a year?

Okay, I said there is two types of fast you could do. Um, there is a pure water fast, which I love. But if you're new to fasting, I'm gonna give you another recommendation. But just drink water. What about my coffee? Just drink water, not coffee. What about my supplements? Put them on hold. What about my medications? Work with your doctor. There's some you have to stay on, so work with your doctor on that. Coming off a medication uh could be a problem.

So therefore, and but here's the problem too. You need less of many medications like thyroid medications in a fast. So work with your doctor. Okay, there's another fast that you could take your medications easily and your supplements and even drink your coffee, although I'd say give it a break. It's called a partial fast. And for novices, those who think, can you even live more than three days without food? Yes, you can. I could tell you a lot of stories there.

And I've done a lot of podcasts on fasting. Go watch them. But um, it's a partial fast where you're getting under a thousand calories a day. If you're smaller, a lady, it could be under 800. A bigger man, more around a thousand calories a day. And you have to get under 20 grams of protein. Again, if you're a smaller woman, it might be under 15 grams of protein a day because protein will stop autophagy. So we need to be careful of a protein.

Uh, and the the key to partial fasting obviously is eating very natural whole foods in keeping within those guidelines. You don't have to count your carbohydrates, although you'll end up under 50 grams of carbs typically. So more vegetable, things like olive, a little avocado, things like that, a little bit of nuts maybe. But you can see you can put this together if you just follow the rules. It's called a partial fast. But those of you who aren't afraid to fast, dive into the water fast.

And again, your goal is once a year if you want to impact your aging for the positive.

Intermittent Fasting With Feast Days

Okay, intermittent fasting. I said some of people are really popular intermittent fasting, not eating breakfast, but I'm gonna add a twist to it. Intermittent fasting every day, all day, all the time is not good. You need to feast famine. That means you need one or two feast days a week to remind the body it's not starving because if you lose muscle, that's what will happen in a starvation. Your body will start breaking muscle down into energy.

That ages you prematurely, lowers your metabolism, makes you look worse, makes you age faster, bad for your brain. So feast days where I said, at least one, at least some people that have thyroid conditions or hormonal conditions, and many women in perimenopause or menopause need three feast days a week where you eat three meals and maybe even eat higher carbs if you're low carb, higher healthy carbs on those feast days.

So a feast could be high protein, maybe one gram of protein per lean uh pound of body weight, high carbs, or more meals, which would equal more calories. Three feast days a week for some people, at least one for most people. Okay. So, and then you can add in one or two fast days a week where you just eat one meal and you're going to go through autophagy and get rid of those bad senes cells that age you prematurely. Feast famine cycling is another way to add some fasting.

Uh, and the feast is as important as the fast, which will slow down the aging process. Okay, that's the diet. Now

Vitamin D Sun And Smart Supplements

let's talk about some really, I think, important supplements that you take. Listen, controlling glucose and insulin is critical. That kind of goes back to the diet as well. Um, but there are some natural things to do that from a supplement standpoint. One thing is I think it's really important to keep vitamin D levels normal. It's a pro-hormone and it does help balance blood sugar.

But keeping your vitamin D levels up, I'm a fan of getting natural sun because that transforms into something called cholesterol sulfate, which actually transforms into healthy hormones, which transforms into healthy metabolism. So all of those things will age you slow or age you slower.

Now, again, I believe in getting some sun on your skin without sunscreen, because sunscreen allows you to stay in the sun too long, which will age your skin prematurely and increase your UVA exposure, which doesn't drive the skin cancer. So not a fan of sunscreen. Get some sun, depending on the tone of your skin. Do not burn, but some sun will, in fact, age you slower, not just from the vitamin D standpoint, but even the skin. So healthy.

Um, so that is at the forefront of anti-aging, opposite of what you've been told, I know. But also, if you're in the winter and you can't get in the sun, taking vitamin D with some vitamin K is very important. Again, pro-hormone, fat-soluble vitamins are lacking and people need them to feel normal. You need vitamin K2 to pull calcium in and minerals into your bone. Again, part of anti-aging. All right.

So I think, you know, from a supplement standpoint, um, you know, there's some uh natural antioxidants. Hydrogen water can be one of them. Hydrogen water acts as a redox molecule, meaning it doesn't um drive too much uh anti-inf uh inflammation because you need some of that, or too much antioxidants are not good. Hydrogen kind of works in between uh reduction and oxidation and it brings a balance. I think hydrogen water, the hydrogen pills can be very helpful. I think oxygen in the water.

Um, this uh company Ophora, I have their um unit, their water filtration system in my house, but you can even buy their water like this 40 parts per million of oxygen in this water. The higher your levels of saturated oxygen in your blood, the longer you're gonna live, the less disease you have. So oxygen is absolutely very, very important. And water is a cheap way to get it. Yes, hyperbaric chambers are good, but you know, who can uh typically do that? Not many people. But

HIIT And Strength Training For Longevity

that brings me to exercise, which exercise is in fact important. I'm a believer for anti-aging is high-intensity interval training, where you get your heart rate up to where it's very hard to breathe. You go anaerobic, that's called, where your body's burning sugar for energy. But what happens is for the next 36 hours, you actually burn fat. And high-intensity training helps you build more muscle, which actually is shown to age your brain slower in your cells.

So, very important high-intensity training. I'm not a fan of long endurance training that creates too much oxidative stress and can age you prematurely. Don't take my word for it. Look at a sprinter versus a marathon runner. You tell me which one is aging slower or faster. Look at sprinters in their 60s and 70s, look at meaning people that used to sprint, and look at marathon runners. Big difference in body composition, big difference in health, big difference in skin health. They're aging.

The sprinters are going to age slower. I'm a big fan of resistive training weights for aging slower. Like you can literally gauge um people's health, even their brain health, by how strong their thighs are. Yes, literally. Um, it anti-ages you. And resistive training builds more mitochondria in your cells, which can actually be anti-aging for your brain and your entire body. So a big fan of that. Okay,

Peptides That Support Collagen And Recovery

I promised you some information on peptides, some of the peptides that I absolutely love that are safe. GHKCU is a peptide that helps you build collagen. It's the called the copper peptide in your skin. It works. Um, no doubt about it. Talk to one of your practitioners about how to use it, how to dose it. But I'm telling you, it is a peptide that works. Um, another one is called epithalin.

Epithalin is a peptide that helps your um uh DNA, it helps your cell health, it helps your telomere length, which is a biological clock uh that we're able to look at to see if you're aging prematurely, but it helps that as well. So that's another great peptide. I think another one, good one is TB500. It helps recovery, which ultimately can help anti-aging. Look, there's a lot of peptides like uh CJC that helps growth hormone naturally.

It doesn't give you growth hormone, epimorlin, which is another one. You know, um, I think they're good. I think they're safe and they don't shut off your growth hormone production. But I I do feel like um they're a little expensive for the bang for the buck, so to speak. Another one is testamorlin. I would say the same. Helps your body produce its own growth hormone. It works, it's good for weight loss, it's good for muscle building, um, but it is on the a little bit on the expensive side.

So there's some peptides. I know people love that. Um, you know, hearing about some of those

Stem Cells And Regenerative Medicine Options

things. What about stem cells? I mentioned stem cells. I do an IV of stem cells every year. It's not um cost uh efficient for everybody, but if you have the means, I think it is absolutely transformative. I get my injured joints that I had in the past injected periodically. You could do that every three to five years, but I get an IV of stem cells. Uh, the clinic that I use, because not every stem cell is created equal, you're not allowed to do an expanded stem cell in the U.S.

You can do stem cells, not an expanded cell. You have to go to Mexico. And if you're going to get an IV for just general anti-aging purposes, um, and that's really what you want, then you have to go to Mexico. Rehealth is the company that I use. Raphael Gonzalez is the scientist. You'd end up getting the same cells as my wife and I get. Um, but absolutely I do believe stem cells are a game changer. Regenerative medicine is a game changer for anti-aging.

There's something called plasmapheresis that I haven't done that I'm going to do, but there was a study years ago where they took two rats, an old rat and a young rat, sewed them together, shared blood supply. The old rat became younger, the young rat became older because of the plasma exchange. It carries things in it called cell factors and other growth factors that absolutely de-age you. So there's some tricks there.

It rehealth, they do something called natural killer cells that drop the senescent cells. Um, and it is extremely effective as well. So these are some techniques that I think are effective for anti-aging. I think

Natural Facial Rejuvenation Without Fillers

for the face directly, because my wife and I don't do Botox. Um, we won't do Botox, we won't do fillers. Um, the uh stem cell treatments and exosome treatments in the face, we have done vampire facials, where they take PRP, they take your own blood, uh spin it down, take the plasma and put it on. Inexpensive now. Um, it does, in fact, work. It even works for hair loss. So I think it's safe, I think it's effective, and it's now become more cost effective as well.

Stem cells, exosomes can be a little more expensive, but it does work, especially if you do it with some consistency. I think some of the lasers are safe, um, have gotten safer that tighten collagen. Um, again, I'm telling you some strategies that um are safe, effective, and some cost effective, some not. Um, and these new things, there's all there's new things called cell factors, which they're using on facials as well, and also IV that are becoming more cost effective.

I'm gonna have someone on this show to actually talk about that because that's new science and it is more affordable than stem cells, and uh you can even get these done in joints. So we'll stay tuned for that future show. But I I have to say that we have come a long way in regenerative medicine. It keeps getting cheaper, it keeps getting easier to get, um, even in the United States.

And again, it's a myth that stem cells aren't allowed in the United States because people come up to me and say, Well, did you see what they did in Utah and Florida? They made stem cells legal. I'm like, no, if they've always been legal. It's just a matter of how you market them, how you talk about them, what you say they're good for. So some of that language is getting easier as well, um, making it uh even more affordable because more people are going to be doing it.

However, that said, I want you to hear this. You know, not every stem cell is created equal. A lot of these people that are um charging $5,000 to get stem cells, you know, in the knee, um, you're probably getting less than that of value because there's not many live cells typically in many of these stem cells. So you want to know your source, you want to know your stem cells. And if you're getting it in some joints, you want someone who's really good at injecting.

So rehealth, Dr. Harry Adelson here in Utah, amazing injector, amazing practitioner, uses good cells. Um, he has helped me a lot as well. So there is uh there's a gal in Austin who I interviewed on the this show, um, Dr. Khan Huen. Austin Regenerative Therapy is Dr. Khan Wen. So, I mean, but there's there's some practitioners um that are doing these more natural treatments. And uh I I think again, it just um you you just have to do your homework. But I again, you can tell I'm not a fan of Botox.

Um you're not I'm not a fan of fillers. It's showing up on MRIs, it doesn't go away, it just displaces. Um, so that is a concern. But I think the long play, uh, I think we're the pendulum's gonna swing. I think we're going to come back and look and say, gosh, we really messed up because I think humanity um is not looking better. I'm choosing. Using my words. I think humanity is looking not as good with all of these surgeries, all of the um implants, all of the uh um uh fillers and Botox.

I I I think we made a grave error here. But again, especially with some of the regenerative things that are actually uh able to work and keep a natural look. There's something attractive about some wrinkles, there's something very unattractive about no wrinkles and a very surprised look, actually, that I think we're gonna move away from. Uh,

Final Takeaway And Share The Show

but look, ultimately, if you want to age slower, it comes down to what your cells are aging at. Uh, and that that's the key. So if we can get our cells aging slower, if we can get rid of our senescent cells, then guess what? You're not going to look your age. Everything that I just mentioned in this podcast, people need to hear. People don't know, share the podcast. And let me tell you something.

If you absolutely care about your general health, then you need to pay attention to the things I just mentioned because that will also take care of chronic disease. And that is even arguably more important than how we look. There you have it.
