Episode description

Dr. Daniel Pompa explains how to use the ancient Hebrew war cry Rak Chazak Amats and the power of fasting to overcome the demonic fear and "victim mindset" keeping you stuck in pain. He demonstrates that by standing firm and refusing to move, you can get God’s attention to fight the spiritual battles that are too large to handle alone.

If you're hearing my words right now, I believe God has a promise for you. I mean it. He is that divine and that purposeful. Uh look, I want to back up and tell a little bit about my story. Uh, but hang in there because God does have something for you in this episode. When I was sick, and I've told this story several times, maybe not from this angle, my wife many times was on her knees praying for me and our family because we had fallen apart at that time. At least I did.

But being the head of the household, things were not going well for our family. But my wife being the faithful one, honestly, in the family, at least a gift of faith. One of the times in her time of prayer, she heard God clearly speak to her heart that not only would he get me well, but I would take a message to the world. That promise she held on to and got her through some very, very hard years for us.

And matter of fact, uh, we were just sitting around recently and giving thanks uh for different things on my wife's birthday. And my oldest biological son said, Mom, I'm most grateful for the fact that when we were going through hard times and being the oldest, he remembered it probably the most. You know, I just held on to your words that everything was gonna be okay and that God had purpose in it.

And so she was reflecting that promise that God gave her, really to our family, but he was grateful. Now, here he is, 27 years old, reflecting back on my wife speaking boldly about a promise that God had. Now, when she would speak those words to me, I didn't want to hear them. As a matter of fact, I would get angry in my exact words back to her, where I can't even get myself well. How dare you put more burden on me? And that's exactly the way I felt at the time.

Keep in mind I was a believer at that time, a Christian, um, but I definitely had fallen into a little bit of a victim mindset, perhaps, feeling sorry for myself. I mean, trust me when I tell you, I still had faith in God in the sense that I believed he was going to help me some way. Um, but I didn't want to hear it from my wife. Typically, God speaks to you probably in ways that we uh necessarily don't want to hear or ways that we don't expect.

And so maybe I thought it was going to be a miracle treatment because I was trying them all. Maybe I thought God was going to move through some doctor that had all the answers because I was reading every book and I was reaching out to everyone. So surely I thought God was going to move through one of those things. You know, not randomly, you know, me coming up with answers and then taking a message to the world.

So uh, you know, I didn't want to hear it at the time because I, like I said, I was struggling even to find an answer for myself. But probably, and I wish I could remember back what I felt at the time, I would bet that it gave me hope too. I would bet that I sensed her boldness and something in my heart probably encouraged that I don't know how it was going to happen, but God was going to help me find the answer in some way. So I bet you I gained faith through that too.

Now, I say all that to say that it was that promise that we finally did step into as a family. And here I am today, right? Um, I have to say, one of my things I was just grateful for myself over Thanksgiving was the fact that God trusts me enough to bring a message to the world and have a following and expand those borders and to bring a message that right now the world needs. When I was sick, it was back in uh 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003, etc., in those times, four, five, many years.

But when I was going through what I went through, not many people were. But the number of people today with debilitating anxiety, debilitating brain fog, gut problems, can't sleep, wondering what's going on, hormone-related challenges. I had them all extremely sound sensitive, irritability, became someone I want, fell into deep depression. How many people today are suffering with that? Well, I can tell you that God gave me an answer. I would never say I have every answer for everyone.

No, I would never say that. But for 20 years of teaching doctors everything that he showed me in that pain, well, it led me to the purpose. Our family mantra, well, you can see right here, from pain to purpose. But what's not there is today's message. And today's message is about the promise. From pain to purpose, God gave me a purpose in that.

And I've taught 20 years to doctors, and now through Pompa Program, we have the largest scaled really health mission on earth reaching people that can't find an answer. And everything that I learned, like I said, in my own battle is what Pompa program is about. And we have reached thousands of people throughout the US and expanding. So that all came from God. Pompa program, no doubt, was for for him because it's virtual.

Because most people that are going through this, for 20 years, I taught doctors, but many of them butchered, bastardized the message, changed it, and it wasn't taking the message to the world as I planned. But I think it's probably important to tell this part of the story. My oldest biological son, the one I just mentioned, came to me one day and said, Dad, I convinced him not to go to college, by the way, my wife and I both, um, because we just knew. I said, start a business.

You know, it's you have an entrepreneurial mind. Well, I didn't know he would start it with me, but he came to me and said, Dad, you need to take the message directly to people looking for an answer, just like you were, searching the internet. And back then it wasn't what it was today. Because I was like, Well, you know, how am I going to take that message? You know, I thought I would teach these doctors, they would expand it. Well, how's that working out?

It wasn't getting the message to the world. He said, Dad, we can do it through social media. Okay. That was five years ago, and my son was right. We have impacted the world greatly through a message that God gave me. But I say all that from pain to purpose. That gave me the purpose. But it was stepping into that promise that I'm going to take a message to the world. Stop right there. I said at the top of this podcast that if you're watching this, God has a promise for you.

Well, here's the problem: you yourself or somebody praying for you for something. Maybe it's a healing, maybe it's a relationship, a job, a child of yours, a loved one who's going through a lot, maybe their health battle, or maybe it's just something that it God has just put on your heart that you need to change. Whatever it is, maybe it's an addiction. The fact is, is that you know when God has a promise for you. Number one, you're here because He's hearing your prayers are somebody else's.

But here's what I want you to hear. The moment you're about to step into a promise, that's when the fear starts. That's when you start questioning everything. That's when you start saying things like, nah, it can't be for me, not this, because so many things I've done are have failed. Matter of fact, you start tallying up the failures, you start tallying up the prayers that haven't been answered. You start tallying up the things that maybe why you don't deserve it.

You start tallying up all of the things and the reasons why this can't be the promise that God has for you. Or maybe that you don't deserve even a promise. But I can tell you that you do. And I can tell you that about before you're going to step into it, that's when all of those things start coming into your mind. No different. And by the way, I'm going to show you a few things in the Bible. So you might want to get your Bible put me on pause.

But the fact is, is that many places in the scripture, God tells us what to do when we're at that point. And that's why you're listening to me now. I'm going to tell you what to do. Okay. And look, and again, I don't, many of you watching this, you're not a Christian. You don't believe what I believe. It's okay. It's okay because this message, I believe, in my heart is for anybody who's looking for a promise. But in scripture, when here we are about ready to step in, God gives us a war cry.

And I believe that most battles in our life that feel like they're too much for us, it's a spiritual battle, meaning it's beyond us, it's bigger than us, and the battles between us and that spiritual thing that is coming against us. Well, he gives us a war cry to face that. And I'm going to tell you the three Hebrew words that it is. It's rock, kazakh, amats. Now, the English translation doesn't do that justice.

The English translation, if you look in your Bibles, as a matter of fact, that's how you can find all these places. It will say, be strong and courageous, or the opposite. It may say that says, do not be afraid or discouraged. So it's an opposite meaning, but really it's referencing the same thing. Be strong and courageous. But I'm going to share with you the Hebrew meaning in a moment, which has so much more depth than those three English words.

And the reason is Hebrew oftentimes, in Greek as well, oftentimes one word can have a vast greater meaning than the one English word, which is more linear. So understand that when you're reading scripture, oftentimes we read many a single word, and we really don't, and if we possibly could read Greek or Hebrew, we would end up with a very, very different meaning than what we're getting. And this is these three words. But let me tell you a story. I'll just tell you one of the stories.

Maybe I'll tell you two of Rach Kazakhemats. And when God sent somebody, as He I believe He's sending me now to speak this to you, that they're standing at the foot of a promise, ready to step in to what God has for them. And one of the examples is Israel. This is the most popular one, I would say, the least the most um talked about, and that's Joshua 1 9. Here Israel is about to step in to the promise that God had for them.

40 years of waiting to walk into the promised land that he promised through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, all the way here. They are 40 years later, about to step in. And you know what they did? What we do. Yep. All they saw was 31 armies that want them dead. All they saw was all of the defeat. They saw giants and compared themselves to grasshoppers in comparison. Don't we do that, right? Instead of remembering that God gave them victory over those 31 armies, telling them to move forward into it.

Instead, they were backing up. But what did God do? He spoke through Joshua to Israel and said, Israel rock Kazakhematz. Be strong and courageous? No. I'll paraphrase it and then I'm going to break each word down. It means that God has already stepped in to that promise for you. It's his strength, not your strength. It's his strength. Therefore, we have nothing to fear. He stepped into the promise for us. He deals with the 31 armies.

He deals with all of the worries and the frets that we have of why we shouldn't step in or get the healing that he wants for us, or whatever it is, the addiction, whatever it is, he deals with it. He gives you the strength. And when we rely on him and not us, then guess what? It's effortless. We step into something he already did. The word rock, write it down, R-A-K. The Hebrew meaning is it's a resolve in only one thing. Meaning if you had just one thing to do, that's what rock means.

And in this case, it brings us into the next reverse. So rock is just, if you just do one thing, got it? If you just do one thing, do this. And you know what kazak means? It's a physical standing. It's strong. It's one thing, be strong, stand firm, steady, resilient. That's kazak. Meaning David had kazak when he went up against Goliath. And David said, you know, the very words that I come against you.

You come against me with a spear and a javelin, but I come against you in the name of the one and only God. That's kazakh, right? You know, that's he's standing firm. He would not back down. Matter of fact, he was going forward. So kazak is when an army digs in and they say, Fight, we're gonna fight. Whether it's death or victory, we're gonna fight. That's kazak. The next word is amats. And kazakh, by the way, I should give you the spelling. It's C-H-A-Z-A-K. Kazakh. Amats. A M. Uh A-M-A-T-S.

Amats. Amats is the opposite of the physical strength. Amats is more of the spiritual strength that we have. This matter of fact, in the Greek, it calls it spiritual boldness. David had spiritual boldness when he said those words, didn't he? David had spiritual boldness when he says, listen, I'm coming against you in God, meaning God's going to take you down, not me. Because remember what Goliath said. He says, You send a boy with sticks and stones, you send a boy to fight me.

He was insulted, he said. And that's exactly when, matter of fact, it's almost worth staying. It's almost worth reading it. So what David said to the Philistine, when Goliath the Philistine looked and saw David, he despised him. You know why he despised him? He had pride, that's why. Because he was just a youth, healthy and handsome. I love how they describe David. He said to David, Am I a dog that you come against me with sticks? Then he cursed David by his gods.

Come here, the Philistine called to David, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts. And David said to the Philistine, This is great. You come against me with a sword and a spear and a javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord of armies. The Lord God of the ranks of Israel says, You have defied him, meaning you don't have a problem with me. You got a problem with him. That's Amoth's, that's spiritual boldness. Today the Lord will hand you over to me.

Today I will strike you down and remove your head and give the corpse of the Philistine camp to the birds of the sky and the wild creatures of the earth. And then all the world will know that Israel has a God. And this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the Lord says, But for the battle is the Lord's, and he will hand you over to me today. That's a mot. His faith was absolutely in God. So here we are to promise, right? We're just trusting.

The reason we're fearful is because we're trusting ourselves. Why do you think the whole Israeli army? Remember, his older brothers, his older brother was making fun of him. He says, Go home. I know your heart. Go home. You're just here, you know, because you're trying to be a big shot, right? You just want to see what's going on. I know why you're here. I know your heart. Go back home, he said. And, you know, he had no understanding. First of all, his brother, which was the courageous warrior.

Matter of fact, he was one of the most courageous warriors. He was afraid of Goliath. He wasn't stepping forward. So when he sees David stepping up, his younger brother, he's thinking, what? Where did David get such courage? See, because David's courage wasn't in himself. And that's the point of Rakhazakamaj. David's courage was in knowing what God was going to do for him. So here's another place. It was um the king Jehoshaphat. He was put into a place to trust God.

And by the way, Jehoshaphat right before this didn't trust God for something. So this time he was absolutely going to trust God. And here three armies are coming out of the north, the biggest armies against Israel, against Judah. And he does the right thing. He calls all of Judah together and he says, Let's fast and pray. I'm going to talk more about this in another episode I do on fasting because that's an important part of this.

He fasted because when we say prayer is not enough and we want to absolutely get God's attention, let's fast and pray. So he called all of Judah to fast and pray, and they did. And then God sent one of the priests and he spoke through him. And you know what he did? It was Rak Kazakh Amaz. He said, Fear not. I've got this. I will handle this army. And you all have nothing to worry about. Fear not. So guess what happened? The next day, they put their musicians up front.

Literally, they did nothing. Rakh Kazakh, they trusted God fully. And God turned the armies. Their biggest problem here was couldn't beat it. Their biggest problem turned them against each other and they came back. All it was was dead bodies, and they took all the bounty for themselves. So that's what God can do for you. That's what God's done for me in my life. But we have to trust him. Rakhazak Amadz. So this particular scene here, this was in 2 Chronicles.

And I think it's important because here we are. This is again that same Jehoshaphat story, but I want to bring it in context for you. So here Jehoshaphat is. Okay, so this is when he actually is sending the answer through the priest. Today go down against them, and you will see them come up to the land of Ziz, and you will then find at the end of the valley, facing the wilderness of Jurel, says, You will find them. You do not, and this is the important part, you do not have to fight this.

You do not have to fight this battle. Position yourselves and stand still. Kazakh, stand still, but firm, right? Remember, we're putting our trust in him. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Rakhazakamatz again. Tomorrow go out and face them, for the Lord is with you. And what happened? I already told you what happened. They turned the armies on themselves. So that's what we need to do. When you're up against something bigger than you, I do recommend fasting and praying.

However, it's Rakhazakamatz. It's not you, it's that full trust in what God is going to do for you. From pain to purpose to promise, God has a promise in your life. And I believe the reason you're hearing my voice right now, but the battle's spiritual. The enemy doesn't want you to advance. The enemy doesn't want you to have what God wants for you. As a matter of fact, he wants you to respond to the fear, the doubt, etc., instead of listening to God.

But if you flip it on him, you have a war cry, rock as a comats, and you trust what he is going to fight for you. Watch the difference. Fast and pray and watch what God can do. Please share this simple episode.

You know how many people are battling something bigger than them and would say that I've tried everything, and they are at a crossroads where God wants them to have the promise that they themselves are someone who's praying for them, and all they have to do is step in and trust with God, and they just have to hear those simple words, that war cry. Please share this episode. Thank you.
