This is the Downbeat on ninety seven one the freak. His button's dying, JJ Dina slow death. I'm not going to report the skin. That's the microphone on button the left of nine o'clock. It's the Downbeat with Dingu Kebo, Michelle Sidahua and sweet JJ Jackson. It's Friday. We only got an hour left in the show bending Skin back there getting ready and they got a uh Rational Bill and uh Carl Spoon. Carl Spoon and Rational Bill interviewing a
chiefs blogger today. Do not miss that. Eleven thirty, I believe is when that the festivity kicks off. Always damn fun when those boys get wobbed and then speak easy on after that. So fun times all day long. Thank you for joining us six am each and every morning. Uh maybe the way that's six am segment the best I forgot that he does it every time. Before the introduction he jumps in. It's our good buddy, Brody Jones joining us right now. Hey, guys, thank you. Just head to
toe Oklahoma. Crap on ready, I just wanted you guys ever crap on a girl's head during a three way? Good are real? Are you wearing? Oklahoma? Jeans too. Yes, make those Yes, a nice song that goes right up the crack, that splits the O in the U. In Brodie's defense, that is not a complete just shock jock out of nowhere comment. That was one of the allegations against one Vince McMahon. That was my favorite text I've ever sent to you yesterday. Yeah, that screenshot of
that text between him and her. So that was allegedly he sent it. Yeah, Oh my god, absolutely read any of that. Yeah. I don't know how to exactly handle that, but let's uh, let's I guess I'll start there. Let's start with the bee headline being Vince McMahon, who is the longtime owner of the WWE, back to when it was the WWF. He bought it from his dad, Vince McMahon different middle initial, I
think. So it's a legacy. They've only been run this thing and essentially shaped sports entertainment or wrestling in the world, certainly in America, for every year that we've been alive. I mean, it wouldn't exist in any form close to what it is now if it wasn't for him. Sets Assuming three of you don't know who Vince McMahon is, anyway, the headline is Vince McMahon accused of sex trafficking assault a former WWE employee he paid for NDA.
Nowdy, please jump in at any point. I can give the nuts and bolts right here, just to get anyone who has no idea caught up with a story, because there are plenty of backstories and plenty of allegations and problems with Vince McMahon for sure, but this is wild. It's a woman who worked for WWE received a payout from the company. She has followed a lawsuit
against Vince McMahon. It was filed on Thursday, just yesterday, that alleges the wrestling company's founder took part in sex trafficking, put her through sexual acts that were done with quote extreme cruelty and degradation. Also John Laurenidis, who's the ww's former head of talent relations, Johnny Ace, Johnny Ace people power because he was a guy who was on TV and a character as well for a long time brother of a road or or animal. There you go.
In a Lithuanian, it is I hate to I usually only picked the good ones too. Only Pete delkis my good Lithuanian. Well and he's in hot water. Uh he doesn't. So McMahon just a couple of years ago paid twelve million dollars to four women who in sixteen years. It came out in a sixteen year span quiet allegations of sexual misconduct and infidelity. It's terrible. It's a it's he's a terrible person. He has been mistreating and treating women
improperly. And I mean he's housed ers, he's covered up murders. Yeah, he's it. I mean, if you look at the last two hundred years, it's Hitler, the person who discontinued hot mustard at McDonald's. Whoever thought that Beyonce was good in The New Lion King and then Vince McMahon. I'm sorry, JJ, he took a stray back there. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I like you. He didn't even meddle. So yeah, he's terrible. He's an absolute terrible person. But we didn't know details until
some of these things, until at least just yesterday. So here's the story. This woman's name is Grant, Jump Janelle Janelle Grant, right, And what shock to me about this is this relationship with Vincent. Janelle Grant started in twenty nineteen. Okay, this is only a couple of years ago or a few years ago. So she was hired by w W in twenty nineteen after McMahon push and after she was hired, McMahon push for a physical relationship
in return for long, long promised employment at WWE. You take care of me, I'll take care of you. During her employment, mcgrant say she was forced into a sexual relationship and McMahon would share explicit photos, videos, and details of her to other w WW employees, as well as coerce her into having sexual relations with other ww Jesus w w E staffers, including Laurenidis
we mentioned earlier. So much so that McMahon and Lauren Iidis allegedly sexually assaulted Grant in their offices at the w W headquarters while colleagues were busy at their desks. Where he has a giant t rex skull in his office by the way, so I'm guessing he was just watching on Yeah, a t rex skull. Yeah, just you know, over in the corner, he does have a t rex skull. Grant begged the two to stop they continue to
assault her. Now here's a tough sentence and earmuffs for the kids. Honestly, the suit alleged McMahon also used sex toys named after WWE wrestlers on Grant and defecated on her during one encounter. Oh my, I wonder what the owen hart Dill look like. He's ready, just comes crushing down from the just they surprised. Did you read the part about Brock? That's my favorite part of this whole thing? Your favorite part? Yeah? So the funny
thing, I guess it's not funny. But the thing is, is the Rumble being this weekend, they're obviously going to do something pretty huge now to try to overshadow this. But Brock was supposed to be in the rumble. Is that right? He was going to come back and start his Mania program. That's probably scratched. They'll probably replace him with Stroman or somebody, another big beefy man. But so apparently to get Brock to re sign, Vince showed Brock pictures of this lady in the nude, and Rock was like,
like, what I see? And so he texts the lady like, hey, I gave Brock your phone number. He wants to set up a playdate and that way I can get him to resign and he re signed. Him and the lady text back and forth. Apparently Brocked asked for a video of her going to the bathroom number one, not number two. He's classy, and he just responded with bitch after he got to video. So that's a hell of a response, Yeah, bitch that the allegations are wild, I
frankly believe the hell out of all of them. It fits perfectly with what I would guess this dude's all about. He once said the N word on
Monday Night Raw. Well, he definitely did in a do rag. He did a ECW title what behind the scenes right there in the bowels of the stadium, you never forget it. Yeah, So I was like, yeah, he's basically I want to say, hell, they're captive, but at least mentally and professionally captive with promises of paying her off or giving her a big job, and you're gonna work in this company and who knows, maybe
be on TV one day. The insane wrestling community, which usually lives on Twitter, it's fun to be a part of in some words, but there's people who are just psychos and like most things. But yesterday there was two big complaints. One, people were complaining that a real news source broke this instead of like wrestling, like the wrestling of Waser her Live or Brian Alvarez or Dave Meltzer. They're mad that they didn't break this story because she's not
gonna go to them. She's gonna go to a real journalist. And then the other thing people were mad about were saying, well, how can she talk? She signed it in DNA. Well, this goes to prove kids pay your bills because Vince made one payment and he stopped making her payment and that broke the NDA, and she can say whatever she wants n Yeah. Wow, so shocking. And Brody has some other communications that we can't even
begin to read, alleged text messages from him to her. But he is taking this vulnerable woman whose parents just died prior to them meeting in twenty nineteen, down on her luck. But I think a nice looking girl. Yeah. And they lived in the same building because Vince lived in her penthouse and she lived in an apartment there, and she meant taking care of her elderly parents they had passed. And someone said like, hey, you should get with Vince. He can give you a job, and then it just all
spiraled from there. Can't ask a question for nubes or less experienced than the wrestling world types out there might be listening, including myself. Does his daughter run? She was still in charge? So weird things happened. So you know, those original allegations came out about him. Was it twenty twenty two? I believe it was right before money in the Bank in July. Well, she had stepped down right before that and said just a weird post out
of nowhere, Hey, I'm resigning. I'm going home to be a mom, blah blah blah. And then like a month later, the allegations came out and Vince just immediately retired, and then Stephanie came back. Well, then Vince kind of pulled a power play and got some people kicked off the board and some people put into power that would vote him back as the chairman of the board, and he forced himself back into the board and forced himself
into a lot of things, and Stephanie immediately resigned again. And now you're kind of seeing why she knew what was going on, and it's really weird. There's a promo between the two of them from Raw from I think three or four where Stephanie is. You can tell now she's being pretty honest. She's like, it's storyline, but she's saying, hey, you've promised me to go out to dinner with your buddies and stuff like that, since I was seventeen years old and promised them that I would do things, and I
did those things to try to make you more powerful. And you look at it now and you're like, I bet there was a lot of truth to that. Well, you're saying, yeah, his daughter, Yes, he was pimping his daughter alone. Well, trying to do an ancestual storyline with her was on the wrong. Yeah. You know what's funny is I have get it. I have that audio and the lines was so blurred. The tweet is now gone. Yeah, like the tweet has been scrubbed, but
it's it's Stephanie yelling at Vince on TV. But Stephanie's also not a very good actor. Yeah, and this was and this is like she's the last thing she's ever done. She's like, you've made me go out with your your executive friends when I was seventeen, How was the things I had to
do? Well, he's doing his Vince you know he's overacting too. You know, there's the but when you apply that to there's been the rumor for years Vince let mach have her for the first time when he was like when she was like fifteen, speak in, don't shorten speak speak for them. Okay, macho man. There's been a rumor much, Yeah, exactly. Come on, I'm saving time here, not much. Listen, Tommy and Picky. Okay, Yeah, there's been that rumor. Components, it's been
out there for years that no one's confirmed. Nobody really knows. But the rumor is that Vince was like, hey, here's Stephanie under age, Stephanie, let's do business. Yes. Wow, So there's that rumor. And I was And if you believe that rumor, it would have happened in or allegedly happened in nineteen ninety four. And I did the math last night when
Stephanie was seventeen years old. Yeah, God, just give his daughter to the macho man who the Bacho man did ecstasy with his wife his later wife on the beach and his wife said, yeah, he did X. He started to talk about some wild stuff, including banging Stephanie mc don you imagine that slim Jim fueled love session at you from one inch away, just pointing to the heavens right before he gets there. Oh my god, dude, this this guy is a very special, unique piece of human garbage. Yes,
he's a Carnee raised by carnies. They don't get any worse. Wow. I mean his dad was a Carneye. His dad was a Carnee. He's a Carnee. His kids hate him like he's pretty much like Shane's pretty much wiped his hands of the business for years and tried to come back and vinces like, got out of here. You're not running anything. I'm giving everything to Triple H. Colonel Tom Parker looked like a good guy. What is it about that sect of society hustling seen like completely void of scruples or
empathy or or code or anything. Look at the business though, it started as a con to get to a like magic and everything else. It's a trick to make you think something's real, to give me money. It's like, right, if you grow up in that world and you don't know any other way, Yeah, then maybe it just becomes like an intrinsic thing, you know, like you grew up being a televangelist. They're the same people.
Because then it started like there was boxing, right, and then bare knuckle boxing and all this, and then they would have wrestling and it was good. But then people were like, all right, they're just kind of laying there and rolling around forever. And then one of them, I don't remember who there you can read the history. George is the one that took
it to a new level. Because you had Farmer Barnes back in the day, you had George Hackenschmidt, you had Frank Gotch like Schmidt and Gotch Yeah, for like three hours like in Chicago, and they would they would just roll around, but they were actually wrestling, right. It was like, I mean, there was a predetermined okay, So even before that though, I think it was well, it's even like with Farmer Burns and Strangler Lewis
when they were traveled. Look, it still appeared to look like traditional wrestling. Is that what you're saying, right, But they were traveling in a covered wagon from town to town to town. And what they would do is they'd have one plant in the crowd. They would get out there too. Guys would you know, put on a show and guys, you know Bubba
and the crowd like I can do that. Well, they'd have a plant who was a fan would come down and they would wrestle, and then they would get an actual guy out there and the guy who was their shooter or their most legit fighter would hurt that guy legitimately and he would go back in the crime bake man, this guy's real, right, And then that's how it went, and then they just went from there to there until it became you know, a giant. Gorgeous George was the first one to a show
to have like character be a character. What era was gorgeous George? Really? Yeah? That's Kamada Lead based his whole persona off of was Gorgeous, and he admits he admits it. I didn't realize he went that far back. And Gorgeous George is one of the main reasons that when televisions became widely popular, that people bought televisions because they wanted to see George, Gorgeous George get beat up. He was that good of a heel. He was so
pretty you had to hold the rope for him. He had to do his hair, which is essentially still why it works today is because you want to see the good guy Beata or the bad guy beat the GIF you look at every like little kind of prance around prissy heel. They all come from gorgeous George. But but the Rogers, Rick Flair, they all came from Gorgo. What you're describing sounds like this whole industry was earthed from a con artist
carnival. They all carnies. The whole business is all CARNIVALO. That's crazy. How it's out and open. Everyone knows and it's just show business. But when it started, and for one hundred years, it was just I'm going to fool you and take your money, and that's what the whole business was brought up on. And then introduce Power and well I'm Monday. Well, I mean we're talking three days after they signed a five billion dollar deal
with Netflix. With Netflix, one day after Vince and the rock Are hit the opening gavel on Wall Street for t KO, which is the merge between WWE and UFC. It's Endeavors new their new business corporation, which is just UFC and ww t k O. Yeah. So one day prior to that, he's hitting the and Vince to get away, Ari Emmanuel and those guys are going to have to buy out his shares to get him completely away from them now, and that's going to cost them like three million dollars and it's
going to kill the stock price, or three billion dollars. Since kill the stock price? Does it ever make you wonder when you hear things like like this that are in the news. Now, these are the ones, these are the allegations, These are the creepy stories that the news is running with.
How many layers of just these stories and and just the litany of NDA's and bad behavior and freaking odd deaths and just so much crap that is just swept under the rug the public will never know about in this industry, I mean probably with a lot of industries, but this one in particular, Yeah, because of the foundation that it's based on. I mean, human Centipede was probably based on Jim Jim Crockett promotions back in the day. There's no
telling. They're just the worst human beings. And I love the product, but my god, they're terrible us Chrispin Waugh totally framed, though agreed the big Bowflex money and in Brody's pocket. You can imagine the tag team that Vince and Crispin wa are gonna have when they get down there. Yeah, and hell, but at least now, I mean, take it, Hitler boy, at least the product has evolved into I mean, they at least that they have women champions and they're you know, it's moving, but behind
the scenes it really hasn't changed all that much. But you're right, imagine the eighties the untold but just the untold things that will never know about that are just lying dormant. The amount of stories that these people could probably tell if they weren't in fear for their lives, that they weren't bound by NDA's
that are maybe not even alive. Yeah, as a result that they needed to quieted the ones that aren't saying anything because they're just as guilty as the rest of them, right, yes, yes, And the mounds of cocaine. So can you imagine I'm just picturing it. I love mountains of cocaine. The eyes are just kind of spinning like spirals in a cartooned to get a bag of cocaine a bag of steroids see in two weeks on TV. Yeah, it's gonna be incredible. Let's get out now and come back and
get prepped. For Saturday night's big event. Okay, give me thirty seconds on or one minute on what happens now because Vince you'll never see him again, you may is definitely gone, Like is triple h the fate? Like how do they trips? Is the face and will be the face him and Nick con I mean, is the name mcmon because Stephanie ran a after two years ago the allegations hit and they paid off all these twelve million dollars.
Stephanie's like, oh, I'm running a full investigation and they never even interviewed this girl who just popped up, So like she ran a sham investigation to bust the people that would include her dad and did no such thing Like is this day one of the name McMahon has to be sort of But that's the thing. Stephanie does so much stuff outside of the E. I think she'll continue to do that. She's really involved a special Olympics and a reason that
investigation into this probably didn't get because it was already done. There was already an NDA sign, she was already been signed, so it's probably it was probably one of those things like you can't look into this, you can look into other things but this one's already been taken care of. We've pushed this to the back. But I don't think Stephanie's ever coming back. Shane's obviously not coming back. I mean he's probably still laying on the floor of Sofi
with his knees blown out. All right, Berdi's gonna stick around. We will have some talk back to play. But uh oh, and we'll have we'll hear the Nick Kreamer song again too, the incredible unearthed Dallas boy band. You guys are more on loads for you and more on much. Okay, you know what, Just go all right, we'll be back in a minute.
