to click the article. Yeah, they're calling it a routine procedure as the cops were out trying to get this kangaroo had been loosed for four days in Quebec. And here's the news from Canada to let you know what happened here in Canada, an escape kangaroo was caught after resisting arrest and punching a cop officials police officials that are confirming these shocking allegations this morning, take a listen.
So in accordance with best practices by the handlers, the officers actually just dropped it by the tail and they were able to safely keep per contained in the area. Only one of the officers was actually struck in this in the apprehension. But he'll be just fine and we won't be okay. I love the chicken just in the background, in the rooster in the background. like, mother, did you just hit me in the face? And the guy kind of gathers his dogs and walks off of that kangaroo. It's stunned him for a minute, but he looked back and stared at him like, you don't know who you're messing with. It's wild. Kangaroos are crazy, dude, they are they think I think they think that they're people Canadian police. I just I love the whole concept of Canadians. I do. I do. A really good friend of mine, musician dude that has played with
a bunch of people. He went. I think he was in Canada and he was asking a buddy of his lived up there. He's like, yeah, cause I think this was back when he was doing a lot of drugs and he was trying to ask him. It's like, you know, is it okay if I do my drugs over here? The or the what are the cops like up here? And the guy goes, oh, you know, you can pretty much do whatever you want, you know, and if the cops show up, you know they're not gonna mess with you. Just
don't call him a goof for nothing, Like that's a big offense. If you like, if a cop comes up and you're in Canada, you could, you know, get away with pretty much anything unless you call them a goof. It was a good episode of Saturday Not Live, but it was a bad cold open. It was a seven minute sketch, which is already too long right there, and they were doing a bit involving the politician, Uh, Stephanic. Do you know who Stephanic is? I think Rachel Stephanic's her first
name. Representative Stephonic was Basically, it's a sketch about anti Semitism and colleges, and it was a big story throughout the week. It didn't get on my radar too much, but learning more about it, well, apparently in the rehearsal, the person who was gonna play Stephanic, who was a woman. I don't know her first name. I mean it's Rachel or Erica or whatever. Okay, Stephanic was going to be former cast member Cecily Strong.
So Cecily Strong shows up for the nine o'clock dress rehearsal, they do it and then she drops out. What do you mean? She drops out and she's like, oh, I don't want to do it. She said she was uncomfortable with the content. Now. I don't know. Here's what I think it was. I think she went yeah, yeah. They were like, oh, you're in town. Okay, wan't you come up and play this. Well, it looks perfect. You kind of look like her a little bit. It'd be great, it'd be a good and she's like,
okay, I'll do it. She goes up there. She's not involved in the sketch all week long. They spring it on her and she's like okay, and then she does it in the dress rehearsal and it gets no laughs, like it did Alive, got no laughs. Keenan saved it with some University of Phoenix jokes. Okay, well, Cecily Strong drops out of it, so new first year cast member Chloe Trost has to go just step in at the last minute, and The New York Post said Cecily was uncomfortable with
the sketch. Another insider said there were a variety of reasons, but at the last minute, Cecily pulled out of the cold open, which I'm like, that's a dirty move. She just left the show in December of twenty twenty two, like a year ago. They had a big send off for
her too, so it's probably not like hard feelings or anything. I'm messed up though, would be though, if you're a first year person on that show, which is already just in difficult to even get on the air, and they're like, hey, you got to do this thing that she doesn't want to do anymore, I'd be like peeing my pants. And she just got laid out on yes, and she's getting drilled. And now because Fox News is like going after Saturday Night Live. Of course it's a new war
for whatever reason. But Fox Newsy's going after them. But they're going after Chloe Trost, the new cast member, and they should probably be going after just the show and not the person who's playing Stepanic. And she didn't ask for this. She She's like, I was just helping the show. I don't know, but uh, I don't know. It's kind of a thing that's kind of taken off a little bit today. Hopefully you don't see too much more of it, uh, you know, because we don't need dumb
stuff. Probably a story wasn't worth doing. There's a new I Like Yourself editorial at the end of stories Brewery and Delhi that's coming to oak Cliff. How do you pronounce this. So the brewery is called Jackevil spelled j a q u v a L Jackabol. The Delhi right next door to it is called Trades, So you can go to Jackaval Trades and get beard and meat.
And this is in the cliff. Yeah. The two owners, uh, they they've they've spent a decade planning this and they they openly Susy opened Oddfellows and Revelers Hall, so they know the area down there, so this is nice places for Mikey to go there. That's great. So this is the odd Fellows, Gravy Revelers Hall team. Yes, Okay, they got a good pedigree. They know what's up. So they're going to have let's say, brewer Justin Hatley, formerly of Lakewood Brewing, is making the beers
in house. So former Lakewood brewer. Okay, I guess. But they have a bunch over there Lakewood. I think. I don't really know. So yeah, a new little thing right there, right by each other. Kind of cool. Yeah, I can see what was the reason. Okay, So a couple of weeks ago I went to a record release party at this newish place in Oak Cliff and then went back there on Sunday to meet up with our good friend's skin And I don't know if you've been there yet,
but it's called Lady Love. I haven't been there yet. I've seen all about it on Instagram. And this is a concept that is a collab with the owner and I think one of the employees and maybe another partner of Spinster Records. Spinster. Yeah, it's Kate and then the owner of Spinster. I'm an idiot. I forget his name, but yeah. They open up a bar over there right off of right in Bishop Arts and on Madison, I believe, And it's really cool. It's kind of like it's loungey.
It's like old Hollywood. It's New Orleans. But it's their whole thing is it's like a They have a big DJ booth right at the at the front, so they use a lot of DJ entertainment. But it's cool stuff, you know, it's not like super high energy you know when you when I think of djink, I think of Justice, you know, like or heavy DM type stuff. Now they're they're doing it like old school hip hop and soul and stuff like that. Yeah, but it looks it's really it's
a really dope spot. And they have food and like a cool Sunday brunch, but their cocktails are delicious and really good bartenders and stuff like that. But yeah, if you're in the cliff and I haven't checked out Lady Love, it's one of the newer spots that's opened in Dallas that I think it has got some legs. Man, they're doing it right there for sure. Go and then we can go over to Mikey's for postgame cocktails. Play with

Okay, some of the other minority owners have are getting rid of their stakes too, so that's really not all of them, but a couple of them. They're jumping ship.
Yes, one guy or I'm sorry, one minority shareolder Mary Stanton is selling let's see a four percent steak in the franchise that she no, I'm sorry, she said she's not selling her steak at the time, but she bought four percent. But there are others who are gonna sell their steak. Do you know what to the Addilson family. Do you know what the total percentage of the minority owners that are being sold is. I do know. It doesn't say I know that. I'm just curious. I do not know.
But this is all going through, most likely going through next Wednesday, official the twentieth, so assuming the NBA approves it, and everyone thinks they will. So there is your update on that.
