The Downbeat on ninety seven to one The Freak thirty minutes from now, I'm gonna tell you how your life can get way way easier. Technology has made a lot of huge advancements, especially here in DFW, and it's free look free great advice coming to you, and you can only just here in DFW, and you gonna hear it here on the free free Great Advice At what time? Eight thirty at eight thirty nine o'clock. Today's twenty fifth anniversary of

The Sopranos. Today one of the great TV shows, iconic TV shows of our time. Jan ten, ninety nine. They will attribute to the greatness of HBO's hit series, The Sopranos. It is Cowboys Packers Week and this is a mini edition of our super wild Card Pump Session. Yeah, we're getting whipped up trying to peak on Sunday. I have a question y and Kevin, you may not be a good person, asked this too. I think Danny will be the sense too much confidence, like because I'm confident.

Maybe I'm just saying what I because I think they're gonna win. The Cowboys are gonna win. I think they're gonna win by you know, ten double digits, like I. I don't know though, Like then I think the other side like it, no one is to be taken lightly. This team's

not good enough to take anyone lightly. I just feel like there's a big because right when the seating and everything came out, you're like, all right, Packers, and then you know who's gonna be either Bucks or Eagles or Lions, Okay, okay, And then at Samforce, I don't know. You can't help it's human nature. I guess to lay out the path that lies ahead, but I feel like not that that really affects what's gonna happen on the field Sunday. But I just feel like confidence is a little guy,

and maybe it should be. I don't think they're gonna overlook them. I don't think they're gonna be over confident. I think the way they played against Washington was kind of a good testimony towards that, where on the other side you had the Eagles, yeah, playing a garbage team and the Giants

and absolutely gets smeared. Yeah, Dallas, Dallas could have overlooked the commander's right, I love Yeah, But that's a commander's team that is almost kind of tanking as some members are trying to lose, coaches getting fired the next

day, no matter what, the biggest must lose in Commander's history. But that game, like that game could have gone a different way early on, and then you know how it is when the Cowboys are playing from behind, it could have taken on an entirely I mean we were texting about that. It's like things are weird in DC. Yeah, and weird things were happening, miss field goals, blockfield goals, crazy wild plays that that Washington was

running. That game could have taken an entirely different shape had there not been And I don't know who the steady handed or if it's a collective steady hand, but the steady hand was like, let them do their trick plays, let them do what they need to do. Sure Aubrey missed a couple of field goals, We're fine, just do what we do, stay in our

lane. And they did, whereas Philly just said doodo on everything. Yeah, I feel I don't know, I feel a steady hand that there is coming for whether it's McCarthy or Dak or a collective of veterans and coaches, there's something different about this team I don't feel like there's an overconfidence. It's the confidence that you were talking about there. Mind. Yeah, yeah, it's but it's both sides because he's right. Yeah, but you don't want

to talk about steady hand. Matt Lafleur. I think, and you tell me if I'm wrong, But that dude, I mean, granted, you have Aaron Rodgers, you win thirteen games every year, you have the MVP, but then you have your dip, you lose your guy. It's sort of reset time. And the worst thing they did was last year missed the playoffs at eight and nine, and now nine and eight. I mean,

they're gonna be ready. They're going to be ready, and they're still going to do the things that they've done all year, or make a few mistakes and things like that because they are the youngest roster in football on the offense and defense, so they are you know, that's something that opens up agate too. Yeah, there's gonna be mistakes and will the moment be too big for them? The Cowboys being at home clearly huge here. But there's two

things that just I kind of been thinking about the whole time. The type of offense that they run, and it is the same thing that you're gonna see with Shanahan and McVeigh with the Rams motion based a lot of play action. Are they gonna run it or pass it on first down? Are you gonna be able to stop the run? And things like that, and a ton of wide receivers who can go get open. And it's really the confidence

that Jordan Love has had that has just increased. I've never seen someone outside maybe Aaron Rodgers fifteen years ago, improved from one month to the next and just like, Okay, yeah, dude. In October I was going, I don't know. In November, I was like, yeah, it's pretty good. And then by the end of December, Yeah, quarterback. You gonna have to pay him soon too. He's making a way more money than probably should make based on what he's proven in the NFL. Like they're gonna

know, and I think there's something to just the way they're going. They're pretty steady too, so that and I do sense a little bit of that because I can't get out of my head a game last year where the Cowboys were better than the Packers and the game wasn't Lambeau and the Cowboys had the Packers and they couldn't finish them off, and Christian Watson ended up showing up. Now, look, there's a lot of things that Aaron Rodgers played in that game. Right, There's a lot of big, different, you know,

elements to that game. There's a little weird mojo with the Packers, and I'm not saying that as Packers fans there should always be recent one of them history, especially against the Cowboys. Like that's why I'm not real sure why people kind of wanted them. And maybe you think the Rams are better. The Packers beat the Rams twenty to three this year. There was no

Cooper Cup in that game. Does the Packers stomped the Rams earlier in the year, So I don't know that the Rams just that much better than the Packers. That's what kind of people were kind of scared to play the Rams. By the way, the Rams the only team who could beat the forty nine ers in the in this conference. So there's a lot of things.

Like Danny said, weird things happened in Washington, Weird things happen when Cowboys play the Packers, and most of that is attributed to their quarterbacks that they've had throughout time have always been amazing in their stadium. Worry about that. Yeah, you know, FARV never really conquered the Beast, No Rogers did. We're gonna talk tomorrow about some classic Packer Cowboy duels in history, many of which did not go our team's way. But I did yesterday watch that

damn Aaron Rodgers to cook throw. They cost the Cowboys what a trip to the NFC Championship Game a few years ago. And it might be the best throw in NFL history. It's the mist throw and did be the single best throw Roethlisberger to Santonio Holmes, and the Super Bowl is on that list, But that was I think from the six yard line. They snapped that ball when he released it, there was nine seconds left on the clock and he

just wings it right and the Cowboys sidelines like, yeah, incomplete. And I remember watching it live thinking nope, nope, no way, And usually I watched enough football. I'm decent enough to you know, I don't know what your hit percentage is, but I'm like, no way, that's a catch. And the first replay we all see the heart beats of everyone in this sound. We all knew at the exact same moment. Of course, it's a catch his feet are perfect. It's one of the greatest throws in

history. And then one play later, fifty one yard field goal. See you yeah, Oh that is opening your chest and ripping your heart out, showing it to you and eating it in front of your face while it's still beating, while it still has its final couple beats in it. The play before it, Jeff Heath blindside sacks Rogers and he holds onto the ball. Yes, I watched that as well. Blindside crushes him from the backside. And if Jeff Heath's hand is down one or two inch, which is obviously,

I'm not saying it should have been. It's just one of those things. That ball is still bouncing. How do you get hit that hard and that much leverage and the ball didn't even move. You could argue dak out played Aaron Rodgers in that game. Also, do you watch the game? What lost that game for the Cowboys is their offensive drive where they spiked the ball when they had a time out and left. We'll just tomorrow. Yeah, it's audio for it. It's fun great, Okay, I don't know

if you call us fun audio. Here's Aaron Rodgers on the pat McAfee show yesterday, Kimmell said, look, you can you know he went out and dissed him, told some jokes and then said it a hamster brain, didn't he Yeah, call them a hamster brain. It's pretty funny, and then basically said, look, I would apologize, So we'll just apologize and it's over. Not that Kimmel's in charge here Rogers on the mcaffee show yesterday. Keep in mind McAfee kim Will worked for the same company. A lot going

on Aron Rodgers. Tuesday's have certainly caused some conversation, Yes, yes, conversation, controversy, debate, a lot of interesting things that come from this show. Well, a lot of people that love the show, a lot of people that love the show, a lot of peopeople that want to censor the show. Who at least my segment, I've heard a lot heard. I've heard a lot about that. There's beard a lot of articles about calling me. Okay, So he immediately starts to do a lot of people and

he goes right into people want to center the show. You're going to start rolling your eyes, Aaron Rodgers, I think in the first ten seconds, I think we should just get into it though, just so we can have the woke establishment who's just tuned in for you know this this part. Let's just get this out of the way first and they can move on with the

rest of the day. I have one thing to say, but people, if people are going to use the word woke a lot, I just want to say this, especially a guy like Aaron Rodgers who claims he's up to date and researched on everything that would be the definition of being woke, Your dumb ass, Why is he so effing stupid? And it bothers me. I used to wear Aaron Rodgers shirts Packers his line of clothing, but now there's Rogers on the back, you know, and I'm like, whoa is

what you claim to be about all this medical stuff? And he did a ten minute thing on the horse pill on ESPN Live and we can all move past this. The history of this, whatever this is between Jimmy and I, this goes back to COVID times. He mentioned on his show jokes about my amusation, which I know you also made a little joke about it, and the fact that you know my own research. He didn't just stop there, though, you know, he made a lot of other comments about unvaccinated

people, mentioning that they don't deserve treatment. If they're at a hospital, they shouldn't be given a hospital bed. He made comments about repurposed drugs that were being used all over the world that have incredible safety profiles that were derogatory. He meant ivermectin being horse face and pushed that whole narrative for a long

time. He gave a platform to one of the biggest spreaders of misinformation during the COVID times, doctor Fauci. So in my opinion, you know, he ripped me about ripped me about the vax and that turns out to be an l on many occasions because the vax was not safe and effective like we were told that it was in the beginning. There are a lot of injuries now that we've seen related to the vaccine. So in my opinion, okay, so no one cares. Right, He's going in all this stuff and

it's like, dude, just talk about the thing. This is kind of him summing it all up right here. I'd like to put this to bed to move forward. I don't understand, but I don't understand Mike foss comment. Mike Foss is the senior vice president of Programming at ESPN. Okay Foss comment because he didn't help out either, and I'm going to quote Mike Foss. He said, Aaron made a dumb and factually incorrect joke about Jimmy Kimmel. It should never have happened. We all realized that in the moment,

Mike, you're not helping. You're not helping because I just read earlier exactly what I said. So and this is this is the game plan of the media, and this is what they do. They try and cancel, you know, and it's not just me, it's it's nowhere near just me. I mean, if you look at all the different people who've been censored from the Internet during especially during COVID, the canceling that went on, the censorship using the government to try and censor people, that happened. And if that

doesn't work, then they go to name calling. I mentioned a lot of the names that I've been called, and they don't stick. Because I'm an anti vax I'm interested in informed consent and things that are in the vestments of my body. I'm not a maga. I've never had any of what's a maga that's in Tomato tomorrow. I'm not a MAGA. I've never had any affiliation with anybody associated with that movement, right, which is okay if you are, though, like there's different opinions all over the place. If you're

that's your ideology, that's fine. I'm not a super political person, Okay, do whatever you want. Uh, conspiracy theorists, that's fine because if you look at the track record of conspiracy theorists in the last few years, they've been right about a lot of things. So I don't care about that one anti semi that was called I mean, that's just like, this is

their game plan. They use these words to cancel people, and they went and ran with this because it's the crazy anti vaxxer wacko again talking about you know, accusing somebody of being a pedophile. Like, of course, this is the game plan they use. That's that's the environment that we're in in the end. If you are not someone whose opinion aligned with the mainstream narrative, this is what they're gonna do with you. And it's not me. I'm not a victim. I don't give it. Say whatever the hell you

want about me, that's fine. Like the people that know me and loved me. You know what I'm all about. My teammates know what I'm all about. In the end, some up. Listen, I still haven't popped a bottle because there hasn't been any list that's come out, and I'm Isaiah's kept gone right through it so exhausting, exhausting. He is he is, He is exhausting, and I almost think of him as a former player, and now almost forgot that he plays for the Jets. The headline that came

from that thing or stays. He said he wanted to play for two or three more ears with the Jets, but he also made comments about how the Jets had too much drama, and I'm like, you are the one stirring up everything. I haven't heard anything out of the Jets organization that I would consider remotely linked to drama that did not have to do with him. I agree, But this is where Pat had to come in. You about to

play it, No, go ahead, go ahead and play it. And then I want to talk about something that we discussed yesterday when we first heard about Jimmy's response to what Aeron' said. You want to play the pat though, have two things off. One is Pat comes in, he's got to tell the company line a little bit. And it's funny because last week he's yelling at another ESPN executive that they're sabotaging his show. I think it was Norby the Snake Williamson who he was calling out. Now and this Aaron's calling

on ESPN executive Mike Foss or whatever. It's funny because Pat's got this money on the line, but he knows he could probably just go do his own thing like he was doing and make this not the same amount of money, but he could make a lot of money and be fine. So it's like, I don't know if he's trying to get fired or not, but here he's trying to clearly get back into the company line. In fact, Aaron dropped an s bom a minute ago. He dropped an f bum at one

point, and you're gonna hear Pat go two. That's two. They're kind of like, oh, you know it was no At what? At what point is Aaron Rodgers going to feel canceled by McAfee. Yeah, right, when McAfee says, you're just too You know what, I've got a career here. Whatever people think of me. I've got to keep this thing going, and having you on is compromising that it's not helping my show. You're gonna get me fired, dude, So no more a Rod appearances on the

McAfee show. And then what's Aaron gonna do his little butt buddy Pat, He's gonna start ripping him. No, No, I don't know what's gonna happen there, Bill. There's a part I'll play for you later in the show, probably where one of his buddies I think they call him the con man, asked Aaron and ted him. No, it was a j Hawk. It was aj Hawk on the zoom doing nothing. But I'll let him

talk. Then I'm talking and he basically so again, what you not like about the Mike Foss's comment, almost as if Eron had like told him to do it. I don't know. It was insinuated though, that you called him a pedophile by everybody quickly, like Jimmy Kimmel has been called a pedophile, I think by a lot of people because his name has been on one of those lists on the Internet for a long time. So I think you stoking the flame a little bit there made the entire world continue to turn up

on him. I think that's why he got so bummed up, you know, and that sucks. And I condemned that one hundred percent, Like that's ridiculous, Like any type of name calling us ridiculous. And I'm not calling him one, and neither should do you. So it's not backing me up or making me feel good. If you're doing that, let me make that crystal clear. I don't take any you know, excitement for joy out of anything that give, so don't do that in my name. Don't do that

at all. Like those are serious accusations meant for people who are on the list. And this corruption goes deep, I believe, and most people that probably looked at it believe that it goes deep. And I have no love for anybody doing anything. All Right, thank you for clearing it up. And Jimmy hey man, pump that you're not on that list. Yeah, pumped about it because obviously we've all been Jimmy Kimmel fans since way back, way back, team on three one two three ja Okay, all right,

okay, this is what it so. Yesterday we were talking about this, we were kind of breaking down, Aaron making a joke saying, you know, hopefully you know, lookout Kimmel or whatever the quote was when he was, you know, saying that this, this list is about to come out of people of note that were involved with Epstein on the plane at the island

in some connection. Whatever he threw in Jimmy Kimmel's name just kind of as a joke, just as a jab the further thought that I give to that, it is incredibly irresponsible when you consider, like Mikey you were saying the other day, the guy that's in his mom's basement that hears this and puts Jimmy Kimmel on the list of targets, potential targets. It is incredibly irresponsible because nowhere has there been any credible speculation that Jimmy Kimmel ever even knew this

guy. For you to throw his name in there is terrible. Number Two. Pat McAfee, you're pumped that Jimmy Kimmel's not on the list, Like the world is just waiting for the you know, because there's been legitimate speculation that Jimmy Kimmel was somehow involved with this guy and we're just waiting. He's

like, oh, thank god, Jimmy's not on the list. That's like me calling Mikey after the Morning News two days prior reports that there's somebody loose for the rape and murder of a high school girl, and I go on the air two days later after the real assailant has been and I go, I just want to say, Mikey, I am so pumped that that that

that was not girl. I'm so pumped. That's so Even McAfee's addressing this is irresponsible because it frames it in a way that people that don't actually pay attention that get their news from, you know, satellite, little Instagram pages, that they're looking at this going he's probably on it, but government's covering it up. You know what I'm saying. It's yeah, I think kim reacted with the tweet, though I thought Kimball didn't have to do that.

But also I'm not the one who is called the pedophile. Kimmel was, and Kimmell is probably a big believer like most people are. In separation of a comedy job and doing an interview on a sports show, I guess, but it was clear that that was a throwaway joke. Inappropriate or not, it was a throwaway joke and probably should have just been thrown away, but

Kimmell was actually dealing with stuff and he might have been. The difference here too, though, is if there are people like that, are there people on here? Let's be real with it here. People who are right wing do not like Jimmy Kimmel, but he's taking shots at them, and that's you know, that's the game. Some comedians do that, right, He's taking shots of them, so they don't like him. So and Aaron's like going to play it down the middle and not you know, associate with any

side or whatever. Now there's another part here where Rogers is last one, and we'll just discard this forever and we'll never do it again. Even if there's more to it, we'll probably just skip it. Sweet takes a shot at an ESPN executive, and I think a J Hawk teasing him up here. But McAfee wants this to stop. Clearly yople actually watched the clip, and how many how many people just saw a headline. I don't think Mike Foss watched the clip. I don't work for you. Mike. Did you

not like Aaron? Which part of it did you not enjoy? It's made it dumb and factually incorrect. Joke. You thought it was a pretty smart, good one. I mean, I feel like I made a statement about, you know, not wanting to be on a you know, the list to come out. But it was a call back, never call back to February. I realized that in the moment, what did you what are you talking about? Let's move on, man, exciting for you to meet Foss

and person somebody Foss right now is sitting on an airplane watching this. Just Oh yeah, I'm happy for moving on. Let's talk about Foss. Is the guy who got McAfee on ESPN and Rogers. Maybe he's taking shots at him, Maybe he's the guy that can take him off. Part of me wonders if some of this is calculated. McAfee's trying to get fired too well. Isn't this because you didn't? You wonder how if this is good or not for McAfee. I mean, we're talking about him. He is.

We talked about it every day again in the news, you know, And what other appointment do you have on the Pat McAfee show that you are curious to hear about. I looked it up yesterday afternoon. I'm like, oh yeah, Rogers did his thing. I want to check it out. I mean, that's sort of the bottom line for entertainment. And on that note, do you think that before kickoff of next season in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers will be a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel Show. No, I absolutely

don't. I don't think so. I don't think Jimmy would. I think Jimmy's done. I think, but I don't know. Do you think Jimmy is that I don't know, is that it lacks that much dignity. Rogers to use this whole thing to rating and the guys of clearing the air, that's a pure stunt. If he does that, it is a pure stunt. Rogers late night talk I mean that's Rogers said, it's great your airson, because he made fun of his education too, because he had made shots

him. He's like, it's great that you have ten writers and can read a teleprompter. I'm like, Aaron Rodgers, you could not do his job. And if anyone know, if you think you know how a late night talk show works and don't, you just don't. There's so much more craft that goes into it than you could ever imagine. To go to an hour of TV it blow your f and mind, so like I got, I got problems with that as Aaron's a dumbass? Did we know this now?

But I don't even care about the stuff he's talking about. For or against the things he says, he contradicts himself. And then when he runs out of guests, Oh we'll talk about you more. Let's get out of here. Coming up NeXT's go guys, I got something here that's kind of kind of a big changer. Here. Technology has made a big advancement and it's exclusively here in DFW. I can make your life very, very easy, and I'm gonna tell you how next on ninety seven to one th
