Is that bo over there? That's bo I saw in the hallway and goes in the midd He said something like I'm gonna make it to the weekend,

and then he caught himself. He's like, I don't know, not really like Jo got it. He's cool. He's kind of like the Charles Bakowski of classic rock. You know. In the hallway, it's like, damn, dude, you look like JENASKI legend. Yeah, he's old dude speaking oh legends. Nine am this morning. Just two hours from now, we have snl alum Chris catan At joining us. What about that easy mean live on a telephone. I think he's a wind him up guy to you, right. He's a part of our Yeah he is. And he's also a

part of our nine to ten interviews series this week. Yaues tomorrow We're gonna have a guy from Next Level Chef on and Thursday, we're gonna have on Backdoor teen Mom. Yeah, and I'm not kidding fair At Abraham. That's amazing is calling in Thursday morning at nine ten am to talk about a serious issue I might need to do, Like tell me what research I need to do? I don't. I don't know anything other than the words backdoor teen mom. Huh. And I'm a degenerate, I understand, but I've never

seen is it Porno's? But how would I need to know? Before that? She was on YouTube YouTube? Who is she? Yeah? Okay, who is fair Ah Abraham? Yeah? But she was on a MTV show teen sixteen and pregnant What's spun off into teen Mom? But she's thirty two now has a sixteen year old and she is very pissed about this law in Florida about social media, and she wants to weigh in. So we're gonna have pack dorteen Mom Farah Abraham on on Thursday. I'll send you a link

that will provide all the research. You know. I don't want to watch that? Yeah you do? Yeah, I do, I do? Right, will look, Kevio's got to watch a two hour and nine minute porn that was made what nineteen ninety five? They do a film review and read it on the radio, Eddy Evans Stone, we'll give you through the weekend. Yeah, all right, take your time, take your time. Yeah, it's a busy weeks. We'll see what happens yet. So that's nine

o'clock Away Chriskatan joining us at nine thirty five, give her take. We have the Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd joining us at n and I'm interested how that's gonna go. I mean, they avoided disaster last night. Yes, no, I know, I just it's his first time with us. And trust me, the fact that we're the home of the MAVs doesn't really impact this. But I don't want to run them off. But I do have a couple of fastballs, and I don't we do have to ask the question.

I mean, because his own players were yelling at him to call an effing time out right, But then it leads to a far larger issue and a relatively uncomfortable thing to do. But we're journalists. At eight o'clock, I got a little piece of Tim Hardaway junior audio to hear from after the game. It's short, but him kind of laughing at the media and almost like glad you have that. Yeah, it was, it was in it.

You can read into it a little bit if you want. It was a wild one last night, and that first half was I mean, I the discussion, we were all thinking it, like are they responding to this guy anymore? And they come out, they had a good talk at halftime. It seems like it came out and played one of their best quarters of the year. Yeah, do they really hold him to twelve and thirty five to twelve in the third quarter? That zone, that lockdown zone defense.

So I saw Kid in the post game. I watched the whole podium and they asked him, you know, what's the key to the defense? Basically just said of energy and effort, and then in the next sentence he kind of I don't know if this makes news, but he kind of basically said, they have to care. Yeah, they like they have to care, like implying I'm trying. I'm trying to get them to care. And if they care, they can play good defense. And if they play good defense,

the offense is gonna be there and they're gonna come storming back. From down seventeen or whatever they were and beat mediocre teams, which maybe they are I don't know, because if you don't play defense on half the nights, you are a mediocre team. But also gives me like hope that maybe they can crank it up to the ceiling come playoff times and play hard, hard defense and then who knows who they can beat. But to hear him say

that, it was kind of weird. The phrase that the media was going to take last night from all that was him saying, I guess well, I think he SAIDs like in the post game he said, I guess you know if I need to, you know, be almost like playing defense with them, is basically what he was saying. Well, they said, because you were very animated on the sidelines, like you were jumping around with the

defense. And then he kind of did go back to the well, I can't go out there on the court, you know, because he kind of was always like one word away from doing the whole well, I'm not all out there. Yeah, he literally said once, you know, and he may be having saying they may be having a problem with someone or multiple people not doing their job defensively. I mean we're talking about this that Christian would just ruined their defense last year by not knowing how to play smart team defense

and hitting your rotations and all that stuff. Now you added Grant Williams as a supposed to be a good defender. But when you say that in post, doesn't that mean is that not peeling the curtain a little bit into there? They don't listen to me. You know what I saw last I think when you game plan for another team, you go into that game with a

certain amount of expectation. And I saw a Maverick team that was continually bewildered and flustered with Orlando's unprecedented ability to just drain three after three after three, And I saw one time where what's the guy's name of Wagner? Wagner sunk another three and Luca kind of looked at him and looked around, like, are you freaking kidding me? This guy is made a They made another one and took the ball out of bounds and kind of slapped the ball and threw

it in, like what do we have to do? So it seemed like a lot of that first half was born out of just frustration because the expectation that they had of what Orlando was capable of was much different than you know, well, I think you're right, and Orlando is the worst three worst team in the NBA and they know that going into the game. So that's why they're not you know, maybe they're being a little soft on their perimeter defense and then when these guys are just draining the other I mean, that's

got to be incredibly frustrating to them. And then they've got to alter that and be like, Okay, I guess we got to cover these guys so well, it wasn't surprised by it, but man, that you do, you do have to overcome that and kind of plan for the worst case scenario. In the back of your mind. It's like, well, if this does, if they do have all of these guys career from beyond the arc tonight, well we've got to make adjustments and not get in our heads and

frustrated that well that they're not doing it the way they're supposed to. What is this? What what are we supposed to do? Now? You sack up and guard them. They give up started in their kids, not wrong first quarter, and it's an understandable give up to an extent for me and Also, I hate criticizing this guy, but when Orlando went on their first run, I mean it was kind of back and forth in the Orlando won

their first roam and made it like seventeen to seven. Well, in that time that it went from like seven to seven to seventeen to seven was about the time when Luca didn't get a foul call, was on the ground picking himself up, and then he did not stop talking to the ref for the next two minutes, and before you know it, it's seventeen to seven, and it's like he got out of the game. Last Friday, absolutely did,

but that's not gonna change. I've accepted it's not. And last Friday, we you know, after what happened against Phoenix and him drawing with a fan and ultimately getting the fan tossed over just what was apparently some pretty innocuous U taunting or jeering or whatever, We're pretty critical. But dude, I saw him drive the lane last night at one point, and just on lane penetration he ended up having to dish the ball out. He was triple teamed

a lot last night. He was getting molested going toward the basket and had to kick it out to the wing u uh to the side and and dude, it's like you could have called seven fouls just on his dribble penetration and he's just not getting those calls. He's taking so much contact. I don't know what I like, I don't know what I would do rest the pastor ever plays. I'm not gonna call it holding on. I'm not losing it. But that's why they need Kyrie because then he's not driving to the whole

every single possession. He's not being relied on to do everything. You know, it would have made huge news if, like when they were down huge someone yelled something with Luca and he got all the seats for soldiers kicked out. Get him out of here, all of them, so that we're more math stuff. At a marching, Kyrie is awesome. March out the tunnel, Kyrie is great because he's like walking in. He was just like dapping all the soldiers like, I mean, that's a small gesture. But you

know, Kyrie's not playing right now. Man. I do kind of hate that he the Yankees hat, and I know that's his bit. It was like a New Jersey Yankees hat, but hey, man, weird World series champions. You know, let's get that ranger hat on, dude. But that's that's to me, Like, And that's another thing. I hope Jason Kidd went and chewed ass at halftime, but I don't know what happened. They react if they if he does. Can he even chew ass? I

think he used to. That's how it is, and he got it used to And he got fired at all those jobs because he wasn't relating to the team very well, right, was it that the narrative? But he was too much of a hard ass. And then when he went and was the assistant with Lebron, he realized how to calm down. And now it's like it feels like too calm. But I've never seen like especially the player like Tim Mardoay Junior. No offense to Tim. Tim was great last night too,

but no offense to him. Not a list basketball player going to All Star games, yelling calling effing time out when he got trapped. Yeah, and we'll play that audio for you to eight and you kind of carry on this discussion. Plus I was kind of a part of the in game activities last night, guys, and I got thrown for a couple of audibles, and my night kind of changed based on that. I want. I can't wait to hear your behind the scenes. Yeah, oh man, up close

and personal with the Dallas Mavericks, last night journey with Kevin Turner. Do you want just the football stuff real quick? I guess is good or not? Well, we'll see only do good football stuff. I don't know. That's the usual crap football with the good football. Well, I mean the Cowboys are not in the super Bowl, so that's not good. I can't start with a good thing for you. There's already big articles out about because

there's two jobs left. It's the Washington Commanders and the Seattle Seahawks. There's already big articles out which team will build Belichick join in twenty twenty five, and almost everyone thinks the Cowboys are your contender. Ash wonder if you're Mike McCarthy, what are you thinking? Are you Like? You're probably just running

it back and thinking I'll go for a super Bowl. But there's got to be a part of you that's like telling the wife, like, hey, we need to be looking at you know, maybe buy some property down here that you can rent out if you like your time here, or there's no guarantee that even if he takes this team to a Super Bowl victory next year or this year, maybe it would be next year that his job would be secure, because it's not unprecedented that Jerry will part ways with a coach after

winning two Super Bowls in a row. It has happened. Yeah, Weirdly, the Giants are another team too. Everyone thinks that he would love to go to the Giants, bill which there would be your division. It would be that you have Kellen Moore as your offensive coordinator for the Eagles. Washington's about to get the hottest play caller in sports, even despite the handoff the other day and Ben Johnson. Everyone thinks Washington's about to get them. Put

out your Super Bowl odds for next year. Would you put a little money on this? Dallas Cowboys odds? What do you think they are? Blank to one? I know what they are, you know it, Danny, thirty five to one? About half that? Seventeen eighteen to one, even the Miami Dolphins. You want to name the teams that you think are have better I was to win next year Super Bowl than the Dallas Cowboys. How many are there? Eight? Okay? San Francisco yes, Kansas City.

Kansas City is the favorite to win next year's Super Bowl. San Francisco is the second favorite. I'm gonna go with Miami. Miami's tied with the Dolphins eighteen to one. With Cowboys, yeah, Cowboys, yes, and the Eagles actually eighteen to one as well. Okay, Kevin, he's probably looking at I've seen No, I'm not looking at it right now, but I have the one that presented this. The Ravens. Yep, Ravens are fourth, twelve to one. I guess you got to go to Detroit seven to

one. Man, they're the third favorite to win next year Super Bowl, the Detroit Lions with jaredy Golf. Okay, okay, I mean it is essentially the teams that went further. Yeah, yeah, as you called green Bay green Bay sixteen to one. They have them better than the Cowboys. That's kind of one of the surprises on the come up though. And there's one sort of forgotten team that was good last few years and didn't really do it this year. I know you got it, the the Bengals. Bengals

Joel Barrow sixteen and bar sixteen to one as well. And then the Bills are twelve to one, we're the Saints. Let's check for the Saints. Keep scrolling one hundred to one. They're down there with the Broncos, Pats, Giants, Titans, Commanders, and in dead last one you have the Carolina Panthers. So put a couple of bucks on them because they'll probably make

the playoffs because the football is weird. So the Super Bowl is going to be broadcasted by Tony Romo and Jim Nance, and you know they've they'ved taken a lot of heat a little bit lately. But the other thing I think this is gonna be a big story in sports business is that Tom Brady, if he wants to, basically has been given the a team job with Fox if he wants it, like he's agreed to a deal, and then it

kicks in. It sounds like when Tom wants to. So Greg Olsen's doing this big interview and or there's a big article about him and the athletic and it was kind of interesting. They played out one thing that you know, they're talking about how good Greg Olsen is, and they played out one thing that was interesting. Early in the game of the day, Olson's talking about the San Francisco defense. He's like, everyone knows San Francisco's got a great

defense, but they can be run on. They're stopping the run. Numbers are great, but they don't face a lot of runs because they're always ahead. Just like a little thing that you kind of think about. And right when he said that, the Lions had a fifteen yard run, so it just you know, it's that timing. Yeah, and this is what Tony benefited on in his first two years. And I guess still like a color

guy, that's kind of like patting your stats. You know, when you make a call like that and then something works out in your favor, it definitely adds to your resume. So he's been doing I Seed an interview and he was talking about the idea of Brady and he's basically known, Yeah, if Brady wants it, they're gonna give it to Tom Brady because he's Tom Brady. But I say, man, I kind of admire Greg Olsen's attitude because it would be easy to be like, hey, man, I've done

a great job. They're gonna do whatever they want with me. I can move on, I go somewhere else. And he's basically just like I'm gonna fight for this, and he's talking about his ereas like I'm gonna make it be a tough decision and I'm gonna trye do a good job. Now I think he's gonna he's held back by a little baby KK. That's just me, But I don't know. I just there's something about that that I just kind of went, you know what, that's pretty cool, And I think

I like him a little more than maybe I did. So I've always been a little hard on it. Not hard on him, but a little. Uh. It's hard to take the guy serious when he well was when he did the big rap in college, right, Yeah, And you can't let that stay with the guy forever. So he signed a five year deal with Fox. It's worth ten million annually. When he's calling games on the number one team. On the number two team, he gets three million per year.

Wow, seven million dollar pay cut. Yeah, that's depending on what team you're on when you got little baby K on your shoulder, ten million bucks. If Tom Brady says yes and he has under contract, is Olsen or both of them I guess are facing contract In the case, well, that would suck if you had it, like in your work contract that if you got demoted to a different day part that you lost seventy percent of your

salary. That would suck. The common thing about Tom Brady that people keep talking about is they don't think Brady will do it for a long time because they think Brady wants to go own a team like we've heard of the Raiders. We know that he's had dalliances with Mikey's Miami Dolphins. So if that was something that was on Brady's mind and he just goes, you know what, I'll do three years broadcasting because I can, they're like doing to Olsen's

options. He could say, you know what, I'll be the number two, but you gotta pay me more, and Fox might be like, yeah, I mean that would be a good insurance play for Fox in case Brady was to go away. But also, look at all these other guys who were going to retire eventually. Do you tell me one of the Kelsey brothers is going to be doing TV if they want to in whatever form they want. Yeah, but doing TV is different than being the color man, and

yeah, butting your head up against being on the number one team. Olsen has an opt out clause that allows him to look for another role with another network in the event he has bumped from the number one team, so that would require an opening somewhere else. But that's that's interesting because he's really good. I have to he's good, you Okay. The thing about Little Baby KK and Third Leg Greg is they're just they're kind of just workmen. Like

they go in, they do their job. You don't really like what we exactly and look we early on when they were doing they did over half the Cowboy games this year. I believe, you know, early on the first couple, I could find audio from them and bring it in here and play.

But man, through the end of the season, they're not doing anything that warrants drawing comedic attention to whereas Romo and Nance is just a fountain of fun, but a lot of it comes with negative criticism because of Tony I guess, I mean, is that the kind of is that what you want? Or do you want somebody that's kind of like right down the middle and very reliable and workman like you want Buck Aikman. You want just entertaining but

not you know, distracting. I want insightful, but with good chemistry between the two I don't think Romo's distracting. There's no like comedic entertainment provided other than laughing at it's unintentional that you're right like Buck and Aikman. They but there's there's something about those two. They have that Pat Madden Pat Summer al Madden chemistry. They have that connectivity thing that's just you can't put a metric on it. I don't think Greg Olsen and and Burkhardt have that. I

don't think they have that that unique spark chemistry. And maybe maybe there's there's good, but they're kind of milk toast. I mean, they could catch Herbie and send Olsen off to Thursday nights, you know, or something that could be something they could do, and you're right about like like one of the Kelsey brothers, Like I could see Jason not doing play by play, but he could be the new Goose or Booger. Yeah you know, yeah, I bet he'd be better than Drivis and wacky stuff at Color I think.

But whatever. Like the point is like the there's one thing that I hear when these conversations happen for people, and it's like why I just watch football. I don't care about the announcers, and that's fine. A lot of people you care about the news, they don't care about who's delivering it

to you. I'm the opposite. I do care. I do want to like, I do think there's a noticeable difference when you're getting a game done with you know, Jonathan Vilma and Joe Davis or someone else, Like I do think when you get a game with bad announcers, you're going, wow's rough, look barbar will kill you. I look them up every week. I want to know who's announcing the game. We're spoiled here because we only have to deal with that CD E F crew two or three times a year.

Yeah. Boys, Once you start getting that quite a bit, you start to realize, you know what, I kind of miss those guys at the top who are doing it. And I also, like, I do care who's delivering my news. Like it's not like it's not like AI like I'm not just there for the game, like I do think it's a part of I think it's it's our job too, because you're listening for stuff to play. I generitely don't care who the announcers are, and they have to

go out of their way for me to notice. I mean I notice because of the job, but I don't. I think they all do a fine job, but I think Romo does things that are insane. He doesn't know how to finish sentences, and he gets himself twisted at the knots and doesn't know where he's headed. Didn't you see where you say? Go ahead? It was funny one day Danny was yelling about Romo not knowing how to finish sentences, and he just petered out like while he was making the point.

It was just a perfect just stop talking. Yeah, you pulled a Romo mid Romo. I think I called myself out on it too. Yeah. But no matter what, Greg Olsen fine good. Maybe potential to be great is not Tom Brady. Now. I don't know if Tom Brady's gonna be great at this job, but at least for the first year plus, just to see Tom Brady, that's that's that's a note. I will be excited the first game tom Brady calls. I will be like locked in because sure

tom Brady's calling it. I know we're running a little behind, but I want to say this about the announcers. I do put I do attach a little bit of importance to who's doing the game, because I kind of think of the announcers as kind of like how music can affect a scene in a film. You know, when you have those voices that just work well together,

they add to the ambiance of the total game watching experience. And if there are people that you can just tell a game is different when you get the bc D team calling a Cowboys game, because the vibe of it just feels I don't know, it's it's not familiar, it's not comfortable, it doesn't feel like you're you know, it's it's like, Okay, so you're driving and there's the scenery is beautiful, and if you're listening to you Know,

Everything in Its right place by Radiohead, that adds to the experience. But if you've got Walking on the Sun by smash Mouth, it might be a different experience. I all I'm saying is I think they have they matter more without you really realizing how much they matter, And you don't realize how much they matter until they're not doing your game. Will announce He's Dinger's morning news. Dude, did you hear about the big chicken ranch that blew up in Brian, Texas? Wings for everyone next,
