If you go to Augusta National Home of the Masters going on right now, tiger Woods on the course, is you gear up because there's so much stuff there you can only get there. They do updated every year. It's expensive, but it's not gouging. It's not ridiculous, but it's not like the food. You know. The food is famously one dollar for a coffee, you know, and the three dollars Permeter cheese whatever, which is great, one of
the best bits there. The whole Augusta not gouging for anything is incredible. The best part being they do fish fifty eight minutes of golf action two minutes of commercials every hour? Is it still fifty eight and two? At absolute worse, it's fifty six and four. You know how much money people would throw at them if they wanted to do that. I don't know how or
why it works. Maybe charge an exorbitant amount of money per spot, well it was IBM yesterday, But then they get title sponsors for the whole Yeah whatever that hour. But just think about that. I mean, there's plenty not I guess to like throughout the history of the Masters. I understand, but hat tip for that. They could be gouging for commercials and have Cadillac and Rolex and everyone that's you know, standard into golf, and they don't
do it. I love the ambition of just keeping it how they want to do it, and you know, with CBS it's a yearly deal, like CBS has done it for forty years, but every year it's like, yeah, we've decided to re up with CBS. So CBS is like on their heels always like right, worse the fine, Right, Yeah, we're good. You still love me at that, Nancy guy? Yeah, be fine,

But one of the tricks is when if you're lucky enough to find your hot buns on the grounds at Augusta National, you are going to matriculate yourself into the I guess pro shop is what you call it. It's not the official real course pro shop. It is a massive building with more masters crap in it than you can ever imagine. But I saw some stats. It's that the big one that's on the grounds, right, Yeah, it's right between the driving range and the first tea yep, and
it's heaven. And the one time I was lucky enough to go, I went Sunday, so it was already thinned out a little bit, but they still had a ton of stuff. I spent nine hundred dollars. Good god. Well, because once people know you're going, there's some requests that come in, so they they request some things, and you know, it is one hundred bucks for a nice golf shirt, which they could charge one sixty four probably, And if you want like a jacket, you know, I
mean, stuff's pretty steep. Yeah, and you get all the ball markers and little stuff man lanyard. I don't know. You just start going. You get crazy eye when you walk in there and you start asking, am I ever going to walk onto these grounds or into this building ever again? In my life? Odds are no, And it's important. It's important to restate that you you can't just go to masters dot com and buy this stuff and they ship it to you. You've got to be on the ground and
buy it there. That's the only way to get it. Now, you can buy on masters dot com a big box of pimento cheese, sandwiches and some chips, and they'll send it to you for a big Master's weak party. I think I saw that. Actually that's real. Yeah, a little bucket. There's bucket like barbecue pork. Yeah. Yeah. They send you a whole thing napkins like if you want to have Master's party, and the actual master's napkin, yeah, which is so stupid. I have a lapkin.
I don't need napkins, never need a napkin again, guess what better for the environment. And it's permanent. It's permanent even if God forbids royal Industries goes out a bitiness, which I don't think will happen. Well, the thing about soroy industries is they're not beholden, you know, to the man. They like the masters, always do what they want. Yes, And the one thing you can't say is that we weren't crystal clear that the soroy industry's lapkin is permanent. It's on the thing. But also if you
have any issues, do not call uh oh Soroy industry. So for those who don't know, all sales are fine. Never all sales are final. They don't have a phone anymore. Anyway, go ahead and after you buy nine hundred dollars worth of crap, you you can walk right out the door and there is a I don't I'm sure they're proud of their partner. It's either UPS or FedEx shipping center. It is clockwork. You bring your big box or basket or what however you get your crap, your bags, they
put in a box. They send it right to your house. You never have to carry any of this crap. It's beautiful. And then a week later you're home and you open this box and it's like the ultimate Christmas because I'm like, I was in a Master's heyes, anyway, I don't even know what I bought, and you're like, oh, I got this shirt. Yeah. The best thing I bought was a big rocks glass, which I use regularly. Never broken it, never broken it. But I have
all my rock glasses and I always hunt for it. I'm like, that's my one. I love it. Anyway, I am spend nine hundred dollars is not that crazy. But I saw some figures on how much the Master Shop is expected to sell. Oh my, how much in merchandise sales? Do you think thet I know, this is kind of an unfair question. You might I would not be surprised, and this may be under I wouldn't be surprised if they're ringing in sales one to three million dollars a day.
Okay, I don't even over on. I just don't have a good feel for what the attendance is for a day at the Master's. The Master Shop is expected to do around seventy million dollars in merchandise sales this week. Just think this is a pop up sh Yeah, that's all it is. It's temporary. So if you break it down on the days that they're open, seventeen and a half million dollars a day. Well, factor in the practice rounds, it's ten million dollars per day. This pop up store is doing
about one million bucks an hour. Good grief, they're doing sixteen thousand dollars per minute and two hundred and seventy seven dollars per second that the store is open. Like, can you imagine any sort of a pop up store selling retail that's doing sixteen thousand dollars per Minute's ridiculous. Now, if I remember it, there was at least ten cashiers and at everything at Augusta is so
efficiently done. Even when you go to the bathroom on the course, as long as a friend of yours isn't locked in a stall, do doing for fifteen minutes? They keep it moving, They tell you what's journals, which stalls are open. They're like welcome in, like welcoming into the bathroom. There's somebody volunteering standing out a bathroom for a whole day at the Masters and just ushering people to officially and then cleaning it instantly. It's it's incredible,
but sixteen k per minute, that's nuts. Yeah, well to buy me something and nothing's cheap, there's right. So it probably helps big celebrity sidings out there. Harry Styles on the course supporting his buddy lamp Wrecked, the amateur Christo lamp Wrecked. That had the balest man in the field. Female gaze on the Masters yesterday as Harry Styles was there, Gays g a z e yes, okay, now it was confusing. Troy Aikman was there as well. Yeah, I did not see that. He sat down with a
golf channel. Just those fearms are so ripped. He likes to go to the weight room. That's where he's his best friends stationary bike. Yeah. I wish I had his discipline to anything anything. No way, that's so weird. They weren't approved by the USGA until Monday. Oh, oh, Monday of this week. He's never played with him before. He put him in his bag Monday and is playing the Masters and leading the Masters four days after the approval of these irons by the
USGA. They're made by a company called a Voda. So if you at your wood, your driver has some forgiveness in it. Right, it has these things like screws or bolts from the center to the toe. Right, it doesn't matter. So if you hit it off the toe, it's designed to come back and help you a little bit. If you hit it off the heat, it's designed to be less penal the direction. I mean, it's just like club advancement. Irons have never had this. He's got him
in his irons. And I watched a couple of ball flights yesterday where he hits it. It looks like it's going straight and then it cuts it. It reacts weirdly. I don't know how these are legal, but I'm telling you, he has something in his irons that has never been used on a professional golf course before. There was approved on Monday, and now he's hitting everything perfectly. This is going to be a massive controversy and then they're going
to say, oh, the grooves are illegal or something like that. I absolutely would be no, because they approved it. I know, Okay, they know what they were approving. That's fine. Well, that's not his problem. You know, next year, if they want to say, we want to do over on that particular set of irons that that Bryson used last year, we're going to go and outlaw those this year. But it's not
gonna it's not gonna taint his victory. Right, He's not an asterisk because they want to already, because he's lived and he's Bryson and he does weird stuff. Anyway, Here's the quote. injury. Now. I will say, if he makes a triple and makes something else, then he might do the clutch the back. Oh ah, you know, God, I couldn't make it, yea, you know, if it turns quick. I mean, he's gotta play twenty three holes today, and that's not easy for him, I would imagine. Especially it's like, however long the layoff is between him finishing this these few holes. But he's on fifteen right now, wrapping up round one. He'll start round two.
He'll have a fairly early tea time. Around two, he'll have to get back out there. I don't know what he'll do if they put a heat pad on his knee or whatever. But your leader's Bryson.
