Yeah, so good. Asian Beltry nailed it. So yeah. There was game four that was twenty eleven. I wouldn't have gotten that. So twenty ten when the Rangers played in the playoffs, the way that went down was if if I don't know if you remember this show, I do. I was there. I think I went to every home the home games good. So this was best of five series. Game one, cliff Lea goes seven innings, we win Game two, and then we bring it back home.
I think Tommy Hunter Pinched pitched Game four. I remember that that. Me and Machine went to that and Rangers lost Game three and four at home, and we were all like, crap, here we go again. And then other first round exit cliff Lea versus David Price and cliff Lea through a damn complete game. We were off to see the Yankees. I all know what happened there. We got to watch a neffy strikeout a rod I mean swinging was he was swinging right. I can't remember looking at oh crap. I
think he looked. I think he looked. Yeah, that's right. Yeah, makes it even better. Yeah. In twenty eleven, we played the race. We lost game one, but then we won game two, Game three, and then game four. It's like an afternoon game, just like today. Adrian Beltrey hits three solo home runs, the Rangers win four to three, and we go on to beat the Tigers, and then we go to the World Series and we don't have to talk about how that ended.
And the Tigers series that was the big Nelly cruise coming out party, wasn't it. Yes, he was. They don't go to the World Series without Nelly in Detroit. You won't see me blaming anything on him. No, they're never there without him. I mean he went on a heater. Ya, he shouldn't have been in the game that laid So Rangers and Rays they play on the very odd situation where they're playing on ABC. Didn't think you'd see that. Huh. When you think of weird of Baseball, you don't
really think of ABC. But I guess they're they're directly tied in with ESPN, right, give me all that. Yeah, you think of Fox and maybe NBC as a as as Baseball networks, but ABC. Do you have any idea who's calling the game? I was trying to look that up right now because I'm assuming it's just ESPN guys who they've they've sent down. But I truly don't know, and I was trying to look it up just a minute ago. I'll see how I can find it in a second here or
what we need to know about this series. There's a lot of interesting storylines, believe it or not, and this is where the first one is a little a little heavy, but it's it's a good story. Was this the low family? Yes? So, Nathaniel Lowe's awesome. He's twenty eight. I believe his little brother, Josh's twenty five. Josh plays for the race, correct, Nathaniel used to, and then John Daniels traded for him a
few years ago, and then he came here. So he was in the same system, but there were roommates in like Class A and but so Nathaniel's about three years older, and Josh low was really good. He hit two ninety two this year. He's become a really good player. Three months ago, devastatingly handsome. Yes, Josh low is he is. I pulled up the Baseball Reference chart last Nuns and that's the hell of him. Head shot
there, Yeah, a mug shot. Well, three months ago they were gonna play in Tampa Bay and it was the first time that they would play in an MLB game against each other. So there if their parents lived in Florida about an hour from from Tampa or Saint Pete and their parents, Wendy and David hosted nearly a hundred people and a suite for the game, friends and family. What a huge day. She had the cool half jersey. You know, you see this, I guess what the Chiefs and Eagles played
with Donna Kelsey. But that night though, she passed out in the suite. Now, they kind of wrote it off as hey, it's been a busy day, a lot of people, a lot of socializing, interviews on the field. They kind of made it a big deal. The media made it a big deal, which is fine. You know, so you like watched this not to mention just the fact that, oh, my two kids are about to play each other, Like there's a lot going on so they just kind of chalked that up to just an overwhelming day. So she passed
out, Oh man, don't you know. But they didn't worry about it too much, and Nate loo even said, Nathaniel Looe even said, like he kind of laugh things off, and her family were kind of, you know, we don't get too worked up about stuff. Two weeks later, she had a seizure and she lost consciousness in her car. Now she was able, she's behind the wheel of the car. She's able to regain to
get the car in park before she lost complete control. Jus. So she passes out, wakes up to an EMT and then they take her to the hospital and she gets the evaluation done and she was diagnosed with brain cancer. So Josh lives about an hour from his parents, so he left the race for a few days. Nathaniel went home during the All Star break, which
is run around that time, to go be with them. He didn't leave the team because it was here, you know, it was just kind of tough, but all Star break he left and went and he said that he didn't want this is all kind of came out yesterday. You know, he did not want this to be a big story. He didn't want this to stand out from the series, but you know, he was pretty uncomfortable by the brother versus brother thing in June. It kind of seems like a guy
he's like, he'll do media very good. He's one of the more outgoing guys in the team, but he just doesn't want things to overshadow, you know, it's like team sport type mentality. He didn't even want to make this story public, but his brother spoke to reporters in Tampa Bayer's day, so it got out, so he had to answer some questions about it yesterday. So the mom's going through some chemo and and some you know, radiation
treatments. They're aggressively going after this thing. Yeah, and she's got to be young. She's probably forty six, yeah saying he's twenty eight, she's fifty six, Josh twenty five. So yeah, so she's not gonna be able to be this week. And that's kind of a story. Yesterday, he's kind of a bummer, but interesting that there's like the brother storyline and that and hopefully, you know, they get that figured out and she's doing
okay. It is funny when you get the you know, brother on brother battle opposing teams, and they've had this story up on the screen behind you on Fox Ford. Yeah, I mean not currently we're watching that weird weather guy. He's nice guy, weird you believe they having Andrews alone. It scares me. I dream about that man. This forecast sometimes scare me.
I kind of like it this week. But it's always funny when you get the brothers competing against each other because they're brothers, They've got you know, a connection of chemistry. They're probably their own way of speaking, you know,
the inventing their own language. But they did show one clip where I believe Nate was on uh as a runner on first base and Josh was holding him on the bag and Nate can't see him, but Josh is behind him just doing like making faces at him and doing kissy face, knowing the camera is going to be on him, just trying to ridicule his big brother. But just stuff like that, I'm sure we'll, you know, get to hopefully get to see some of that dynamic in action over the next three days.
