just hanging hanging around. Hey, I was in New York for the last week, and I was thinking about when you get traded to the Yankees. Do they just put you up in housing near the Bronx, they help you just get an apartment or do you live in the city, Like, where did you live when you were when you're in h New y during the season. So when I first got there, I found an apartment in White Plains,
New York. So if you've never been to White Plains, New York, it is like one of the most beautiful places, like in the fall time, like when it gets towards you know, playoff time, the trees were literally orange. It was beautiful. It's like a short drive. It's like twenty three minutes from the stadium, which I don't like to live too close to the stadium, so it was it was a good enough drive. But this year I lived in the city and I loved it. So I
don't know, I have a hard choice since next year. Like in the city do you mean Manhattan? Do you mean? Yeah? Yeah? Like around like like I'm not allowed to tell you where I'm at, sure, I mean I want you to know where I live, you know, yeah, yeah, but if you if you know what I mean, I'll meet you at Uh. I'm not even gonna give you my practice spot either, because you'll find me there too. Now, like like around like on the West Side. I lived on the West Side uh this past year, so
I enjoyed it. But you drive, yeah, yeah, I drive I drive, or some days you know there's there's a driver, you can get a driver. Some days take the subway. I take the subway. You do take the subway even on game days and stuff. Hell yeah, you get mean, like that's all you need to do is take the subway. You don't need no kind of pre workout or anything like. You just take the subway and you get the energy gets going. It really does. You
never know. Literally, it's insane, it's all. It's kind of awesome though, Like does the team give you the option, Like do they offer drivers now? Because I yeah, oh yeah, yeah, you have like a you can get like a you can get a driver if you want, Like they'll hook you up with the drivers you need to. But for the most part, I mean, I have my car, so I like to drive because to call my family, you know, on the way to the field, on the way out of the field, kind of check on everybody,
see everybody's doing and stuff. So when you when you when you played here, I mean, here's very simple Arlington. So you're usually if some guys want to live in Dallas, they can a lot of guys live in Colleyville or something like that. I love Frisco, dude, Like, I absolutely love Frisco. Frisco is where you know, my family was started. I had some of the best times of my life in Frisco. But I
lived in Frisco and I absolutely loved it. Like I know, it's kind of like a long haul of a drive, but that was like well worth it because Frisco was amazing. I like Frisco too. So if you live in West Manhattan, I'm assuming you've spent many a night downing free hot dogs at Rudy's in Hell's Kitchen. Huh No, I don't. I don't. Uh, I don't. I don't have long nights in New York. You know. It's you know, and then back to back to the house. I don't know. I don't take a I don't take too big of a
mite out of the apple, if you know what I mean. Yeah, I get it, I get it. Hey, how old your kiddo? Now? He's five, and he's a He's a wrecking ball. He loves it, he loves uh. He just likes to hit. Do you feel like you're always covering your junk anytime your one year olds around? Because boy, I do anytime anytime my five year old. Man, My five year old's crazy. Yeah, he gets in remotely close arm
length to me. I'm like, watch out, bro, like I'll push you down. Yeah, it's like you're probably wearing your your game cup twenty four to seven. Yeah, insane and shout out. Shout out to your wife too for holding it down when you're gone, you know, for a lot of baseball, because the life of a baseball person is insane. And you got a five year old at a one year old boy in Manhattan? What are you doing? H What is wrong with you? Go ahead?
When they're back home. I don't even need a dog man. There's just those two be like, Hey, y'all want to like break into my house. Go ahead, you're gonna have to take this one and five year old with you. Good, look, well before we get your picks. Jose, I know it's weird because you're a Yankee now, but you're a Ranger for a long time. What do you think about the Rangers winning the World Series. Man, I thought, man, see what I did? An
unbelievable job. Chris? You sorry? I called you what Chris did an unbelievable job? Man. He did. He did everything that he told us he was gonna do before I got, you know, traded, he told the team like, we're gonna do everything we can to win here, and we're gonna win soon, you know, along with like Michael Young and Ian Kinser like all those guys man that he brought in. It was. It was super impressive, dude. So it was cool to watch, cool to
see. You know, I still know a lot of the guys, man, But you know, like anything else, like I don't want anybody to win. I want to freaking win, of course. But if it was a team, man, it was it was. It was them, and they did an unbelievable job this year. Let me ask you one real quick
question about that. So it's considering the the trajectory of what this team, the Rangers team was supposed to be on that maybe we were thinking next year or the year after that for them to really be a viable choice to make a run. How honestly, how surprised were you that they not only won the World Series. But the way that they just pretty much just cleaned house all the way to the end, I mean that had to come as a
little bit of surprise. Oh man. They had a good team. They brought into some veterans, they made some trades, they did what they were supposed to do, like they did the whole, the whole nine yards, man. And you know when you when you do stuff like that and you take action, you see a team where you have an opportunity to win a World Series like they like, see why jumped at the opportunity and did it
and did it the right way. So yeah, I think that's probably more of a fans perspective, you know, because we ride the highs and lows, two extremes where I think the players mindset and you obviously can attest to this, it's probably a lot more steady hand, a lot more measured.
You see things a lot differently than we do. So I was curious what your perspective was on that, because I think Rangers fans were buying large pretty surprised, you know that we weren't expecting them to make it all the way and win the damn thing this year. Man. They had a good team, and they had a really good team that had everything you know, defense, hit did uh and they pitched pretty well. So yeah, well, Jose, I know uh where you're uh where you're probably leaning with your Cowboys.
Pick it's it's Cowboys and Commanders tomorrow Dallas minus eleven. Knowing that you're a big Cowboy fan, what do you think, Oh, buddy eleven, we're gonna we're gonna crush them. We're gonna love it. If not, though, I am secretly pulling for Malcolm to win the whole thing because I think that's awesome. So if he was the only one that hits on the Washington pick and he gets a point on all of us, I love that. Yeah, Dallas minus eleven. My pick to JJ Denver minus two and a half. As much as I don't
trust Russell Wilson at all, Cleveland with a backup quarterback. They're seven and three and they're trying to win on defense alone, and you can't win on defense alone and football anymore. He just can't Denver minus two and a half at home over the fighting Miles Garretts. I think the only thing that prohibits the Cowboys from covering the eleven would be a significant injury to the offense.
So I think I think they're okay. I hope they're okay. I don't see any reason why they can't score, you know, beat the Ding Dong commander's team by two touchdowns at least in the second game, I've got the Cardinals at the Rams. The Cardinals favored by one and a half points? Is that what you're showing? I have one and have seen it at point five, So if you have got it one and a half, though, I'll believe you. Well, what that shows me is that this game is
slowly as it approaches, leaning towards the Rams. I'm going to lock in the Rams at home against the Cardinals to out and out beat the Cardinals. I've got it Rams plus one. Yeah, Rams. If you've got plus one, then I'll take the Rams plus one. Yeah, Rams plus one. That'll do the trick for you. And so, yeah, six of us picked the Cowboys. Malcolm takes the command. Watch watch the Cowboys by like ten. I want them to win, but that'd be awesome if they
won by like a touchdown in a field goal. And then Malki is just sitting at the top with his Little Crown and all of us are just trying to keep up with the listeners and the celebrity who just says the name of the second team and does not understand that he doesn't care.
