You think that the organization that tried to trade into the first round and select Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch eight years ago is so good at what they do that they wouldn't have just gone with what the guys were saying in the podcast studio. on at the top though, Before we get to the Cowboys. The first pick of this draft is going to be Caleb Williams, who was at Oklahoma for a while he's now at USC. There's a lot about Caleb Williams to like, and that he's really good. He is also seen as a complete diva whose dad is around all the time, very similar to Kyler Murray. And they're even talking about like he's not going to do well in the cold there. Now they're building a dome stadium in Chicago, so it should be
fine. But this is he's very good. But I do think a little bit of bus potential there as well. There may be no good quarterbacks in this draft that work out, and with him, he is really good. He can run. He had a terrible offensive line in USC. But he freaks out old heads because he paints his fingernails and stuff, and like he freaks out old scouts. Of that, I don't not really worry about that. I do think it's interesting these guys who played for Lincoln Riley, like
Kyler, go to the NFL and can't really do much. So we'll see. I mean, Kyler's been okay, He's gonna go number one, all right there. His dad is will be on TV tonight with him. I mean, his dad is living his life through Caleb Williams, and you will see it tonight. There's no doubt about it. Then we got questions because two is Washington in the division Dan Quinn that could be up for trade. They need a quarterback too. There's a couple of quarterbacks. What is Jaden
Daniels who is at LSU, who is a runner? He does not. He had great wide receivers. He has not used the middle of the field at all, which is highly concerning. He's probably going number two. I don't know what to think about any of this. Drake May is the guy at North Carolina. He had a couple good years. He also talks like Jeth Row on the Beverly Hillbillies out of Nowhere, and they like he's from Charlotte. I don't know why he talks like he's from Alabama. Maybe not
that different. But he's been hanging around Philip Rivers a lot lately, so I don't know there's a lot there, Drake May. These are like quarterbacks who are like, are probably gonna go top five, but there are huge questions, at least as far as I'm concerned. Like looking at this, and I did watch like stuff on the quarterbacks, I knew they're all going in the Laice a couple quarterback game, especially the top and it does seem to have settled on the top three. But then the JJ McCarthy thing,
it keeps popping up. Yeah, and even New England seems a little bit interested to him, and I don't know if that's changed. Yeah, New England's number three. No one really knows what they're gonna do. There's big rumors that they are off of Drake May. So it's Jaden Daniels or no one at three, they probably want to trade and get picks because their roster sucks. Four is Arizona and they could do anything including taken Marvin Harrison Junior
the number. Well, he may not be the best wide receiver of the draft. I think you could talk about the guy from Washington, his name is Rome, and then you have neighbors from LSU, but it'll probably be Marvin Harrison Junior. But they might want to trade down. So any of these teams who are sitting there don't have a quarterback. Denver doesn't have one. Two picks for Minnesota at eleven and twenty three, do they want to
get up and get a quarterback. There's a big roomor going around now about Minnesota trading up to number five to get the Chargers pick, and they would trade. They would give the Chargers those picks, and the Chargers would end up trading Justin Herbert to the Vikings, and the Vikings would then be set, and then the Chargers, with their new head coach Jim Harbaugh, who's just such a buffood, would take his college quarterback JJ McCarthy, who they
just want a title together. I don't think anyone has a good feeling on if JJ McCarthy's good or not based on he was asked to throw the ball twelve times a game in college. Justin Herbert's great, he is, he is, he is, and maybe they're kind of starting over with tarball there, so he's like, we can start over. I get my quarterback and
I'll trade you them. Well, the rumor is eleven pick twenty three and then a second round pick next year, which is to go to five, to go to five, eleven twenty three, yeah, say around pick oh yeah, and Christian darrisaw a top seven offensive tackle in football, so that's all like top five action, and then god knows it's going to be tons of offensive tackles. I think the over under on offensive tackles taken is ten and a half. The under is pretty safe there. I think the Cowboys
are definitely in the mix. What are the Cowboys gonna take at twenty four? I think you can narrow it down to offensive line right there at twenty four, center or tackle. If we think they're gonna keep Tyler Smith at left guard, which they probably should do, but I mean, dude, you're gonna tell me the Cowboys can't take a great wide receiver. That falls. Why couldn't you? You should know you have no offensive lineman this year, or do they start to function like a team like Green Bay does.
Why wouldn't you if you liked a quarterback that fell, maybe one fell and you like them, would you take Michael Pennix? Or I don't like him, but Bo Nicks, I don't think he should go in the first round. Panick seems to be super intriguing. Pennix is the twenty through thirty two late first round quarterback who is probably gonna get drafted to that right, but he also could somehow go to the top twelve. Yeah, people have varying
opinions on him. Some say he's like the best pastor and the damn thing, and some people say because he's had a multiple knee injuries, I think and yeah, two acls lefty and I don't know, people hate him, but yeah, no, I think I think somebody will move up and take Panics a little earlier than we're expecting. And I think the couples are stupid if they don't just take meat. Take me, take the meat, get
meat whatever it is. And the names. Oh so there's again. The Cowboys are also in a position because there are a lot of offense tackles in this draft. They're lucky at twenty four. They can get the sixth or seventh best offensive tackle in the draft at twenty four and still be taking a good player. A lot of years you can't do that. There's three good
ones in the first round maybe, so they're gonna be set there. But like they could take center too, and then try to figure out what you're gonna do it tackle later, and then tomorrow night for round two and three. A lot of people think running back would be the way they're going, although there's a big rumor that they've met old Zeke yesterday, who, by the way, will cost them six million dollars on their salary cap next year
because of cut to give early and all that stuff. Yeah, it's like, I guess you should have kept him then if you were going to do that. I don't know. The Cowoys have put themselves in a position where they need these things for this year because they were stupid about handling business. But next year they might need a corner. Next year they might need a wide receiver. So I don't have a problem if the second best corner in
the draft is there at twenty four and you want to do it. I don't have a problem with that, but it hurts you for this year. I'm fine with corner. I just don't know, I mean receiver, all right, give me a dream scenario. Give me like I guess the dream scenario at twenty four. As far as somebody sliding, whether that's be one of the better tackles than the guy Tyler Geitons from Oklahoma's on everyone's mock is Yeah, I don't love him based on watch all these guys. I don't
know. Yeah, I have no idea read on stuff. I wants to talking like kind of not like ready right now. So I don't know. Is there any dream faller that you that has a chance to dream faller? So well, you want one of the centers to fall. I think if if the Oregon kid falls, his name's Jackson Powers Johnson, Yeah, I've seen him, good name, good name. Graham Barton's a dude from Duke,
but that's probably the area he would go in dream faller. Brock Bowers tight end maybe, although why would you draft a tight end first round? But he's hands down the best tight end of the raft. Are right number one for sure, The other thing is like, if you wanted to go defensive end two, Like, are we sure that Sam Williams is ready to like step up and be your number lost? Storm's armstrong, Like, I don't know if you're gonna play Micah Moorett linebacker this year, like they're talking
about that's something real. I would consider defensive end. The Texas tackled uh Byron Murphy. You need defensive tackle help. Now. It looks weird that you took one last year and he didn't play well and all this stuff in his storage container. Oh yeah, bye bye guy. No updates on that, weirdly, but yeah. Corner would be the other one though, where I'm like, I kind of like it, but it's gonna be off the line. It's what they want to do, and that's fine. It's not

The best scenario is they can trade back to pick thirty one and then get one of those sinners right and then do the Travis Frederick move basically where they add a pick. They don't have a fourth round pick this year. They've only got six picks in this draft, and they don't have a fourth round pick.
Now you should look at their fourth round pick as Trey Lance. But Trey Lance doesn't help your team next year unless you're trying to trade Dac tonight, which you're probably not.
