Yet inside out of that here the most warning in the world. Kay, six thirty six, Good morning America. How are you Dallas Fort Worth? The Metroplex the year twenty one hundred will be the largest metroplex in the United States of America? Are you ready? I saw estimations of influx of people coming to enjoy our I don't know line of totality for the eclipse and double

from first estimations were around two hundred thousand. I saw reports last night that they're expecting upwards of four hundred thousand to a half a million people to DFW jes. Yeah, traffic is going to be an absolute nightmare, probably this weekend Sunday. People coming in. Yeah, Like Kevin reported yesterday, hotels are at ninety nine percent capacity right now. Yikes. I want to stay

at home. I want to join the party at Clyde Warren, But dude, that might be the epicenter probably, you know, I have to leave. I don't know how that's going. I mean, yeah, I wouldn't turn I want to turn off anyone from going down there. But I don't

have a lot of interest in fighting that traffic. If it If it's as bad as people say, there's a good chance it's not going to be as bad as people say, especially once we get the weekend forecast and everyone tells you how cloudy it's going to be on Monday, saying clouds now on Mondays say that it's not going to be bad until later, like it looks better than it did a few days ago, because you, yeah, because there's rain moving in like Monday overnight, and then we've got three days of between

fifty and seventy percent chance of rain Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. But Monday is showing that's starting to build. Sunday is supposed to be sunny and eighty two, So let's just do it Sunday Monday when we see clouds and eighty three. Boy, today we're gonna get close to f and ninety. And Jeort's our good buddy that often or sometimes broadcasts with TC their weekend show.

He texted or tweeted yesterday he goes official first day of getting in your car and it it's too hot really yeah, yeah, yeah, because if you yeah, if you you park your car and driveway or on the street, you know that feeling the first day when you get in your car. It's like Oh my god, we have to air it out and turn on crank your a see and roll your windows down where it's just blistering. He said, yesterday was the first day of twenty twenty four feeling that way.

See, I mean if you look at their phone, next two weeks, I mean like two saturdays from now, seventy seven high so we're still okay. If you're in the sun in certain places, it's a plus ten. And they actually did a study on this, like you did a study on this. Oh no, it wasn't me. The Coalition of Science what Weather in Dallas, though. They they're doing it's called heat mapping, and they're finding out neighborhoods that have I was going to do the story yesterday and just

get into it. Neighborhoods that have pockets where it may be eighty one degrees outside but it's ninety two where you're at. I saw this too, and it's based off what you would imagine concrete jungles and lack of trees. But the reason they're doing this is where can we plant more trees to create shade for the future? What can we do? They're working on a pavement cooling technology which that sounds very McKinny music venue like that. But what if your

sidewalks weren't automatically torched by the sun. That is the futuristic world. Trees are the answer, Kevin. Trees have the answer to many things that We have a lot of them here. There's nothing better than just a canopied road. There's a lot of them over an oak cliff. And I want to yes, I mean, that's a trick, dude. Why don't we plant one million of the biggest trees in the world. The problem is if they take fifty years to get the big ones, they're done. They're huge already,

one million of them. Redwood's even I don't know what has the biggest canopy. This is an idea that he has, Danny. Yeah, if you would just open up and listen, listen to my plan. You can't plant a fifty year old tree, that is the hell. You can't sixty feet in the air. We go to the Sequoia, these California hippies. Yeah, maybe even during the eclipse, but under the cover of darkness. Sorry, Yank, and Redwood's one million of them. Four minutes to do

it, big ass Texas trucks. Yeah, due east before they even know what hit them. We plant to plant from they're going to be taller than a lot of these most of our buildings. Can if he's can if he's canopy shade, tornado, fall over damage house. I mean, look for every idea, there does need to be backup plans, contingency plans. Well

I have those, I just don't care to share them right now. It's truly the best thing about living in an old neighborhood is the old trees because they've had you know, my like my neighborhood's had sixty years to mature. I think my home was built in sixty two or sixty three. And I'm sure the live oaks, there's tons of live oaks in Far e Stallus. I'm sure that when those trees were planted, and you can tell they were

strategically planted. It's not like they went in and contoured the neighborhoods to accommodate for the existing trees. They you know how they do. They raise everything down and then they replant. But thankfully, you know, my trees are sixty years old and they look sixty years old, but they're huge. Like I the two live oaks that are in front of my house are massive, and they cannot be my yard and home so much that my cooling bills are

lower than they should be. But the problem is is I don't get a lot of good green grass just because I don't get quite enough sunlight. They neighbors next door to me don't have that, and their grass is just but you know, they don't have to most much. Yeah, yeah, so your house is majority covered by my shade. My electric bills are criminally low because of the coverage that I have over my house. But that's another thing.

You've got to make sure that they're maintained otherwise, you know, like Kevin said, tornadoes coming big winds, especially now, and sometimes in the fall, you can those things get knock the f over. And even worse is when you get the big freeze and you're not making sure all those little suckers that are attached to your limbs aren't holding water and turning into ice, which creates a massive amount of weight and burden on those old trees. They

just crack. So you've got to make sure about you know, once every two years, that you give those things a fair trimming. But that's I would never have bought that house. If it didn't have those, that was one hundred percent. The tipping point for the sale was the fact that that house had the best, biggest, damn live oaks on that street. Like, yes, I'll take it. For some people, it's escrow. For

some people, it's location for Danny trees shade. And he's right, that's why he's smarter than you and I. I know, we're like looking at foundation whatever. Dude, you've got like a nine hundred foot pecan tree. It's not eighty three feet. It is eighty three feet, idiot. We talked about our friend Joel who was camping during nine to eleven and went out for like three days. Someone text in, and it feels legit because we didn't remember how he actually found out, like three or four days later.

The textter says, No, Joel came back from the trip, popped in a VHS tape to see the latest Simpsons episode he recorded and saw it was interrupted by nine to eleven. Okay, thank you. It's amazing that this is why eyewitness testimony is so wobbly court cases, because that's how I would have said it on the stand. And No, this is what actually happened. Your facts are completely rings just made up on what we remember. God, yeah, I mean it's insane. Yea, all three of us would

tell a story from three months ago. Different Like what real quick? What Kevin did the idea while we were on ideas? Yeah, the idea was I make the one hundred and forty yard golf shot. What if I had the option? Was he bringing it back to this already because I said, we're going to get to it. It's gonna be quick. What if I

had the option to purchase a video of that shot? Because the camera there was a camera in the trees showing the green and you could see like a security camera footage, and like you're like, you could go into the club house after the round and go, hey, I made an incredible shot on ten. I would love to see it. And they no cameras allowed and take you into the room and they will show it to you twice. Okay, you get to see it once and you get one replay, but no

cameras because you can't have anyone. And you see it and you have the option to purchase that video. That's a great idea. Make money. Have those cameras strategically placed there recording. It's all going into a cloud saved for you know, you get a week and then they rub over it or whatever. You go in, you get a day. You got a guy that's in there that sees it's got a camera on your tee, it's got a

camera on the fairway. It covers every one of your strokes. No, it's a good idea, but the too ambitious, and we cleaned it up a little and realistically just on the par threes, because a hole in one is the one that you would if you holut from a fairway. Yes, it's magical, but that's you're talking about one hundred more cameras. If you have every hole. Cambers are cheap, well, no, but you pretty good quality. And if you just most most courses have four par threes on

them. And if you just had a t box cam and a green cam, and if you do make a hole in one, you can purchase video for what a hundred bucks? I mean I was thinking about Yeah, and burned the date, the time, a logo of the course, what hole yardage that's all burned in and you get a quality like one minute video of your hole in one on fixed cameras and they can't be manned because that's cost wise unrealistic. They have to be yeah, fixed, and that's why you

get the option for fixed cameras. But the guy monitoring, the guy in the security room has acts to that and he can pull that clip and pull that clip and I think, yeah, can just click. I mean it's that's that's a really good idea because if you do get a hole on one, you can usually buy a plaque in the pro shop with the date and a little cup where you put the ball that you made the hole on one. So if the quality happens to suck, you can go, well that's

not worth it. But they give you two viewings of it, okay with no phones. You have to leave your phone out of the room because that's cheating, and then you pay the hundred bucks for it. I think people they can make a little extra scratch doing. But how many hole on ones would you have to sell to justify the installation of the cameras? Would you want the high action fifty foot birdie putt with your friend's reaction, Yeah you would. I think it would be included as part of like a the experience,

the hospitality. This is what we offered our golf course. If you make a hole in one, you get to go home with a cool four K, badass video courses and nice courses. Yes, but Steven's Park has so much more play more hole in ones. I dude, I there is something there. Hear me out golf courses, get on board, Kevin Turner at iHeartMedia dot com. They don't need to talk to you. You just gave them your idea for free out of the The last thing they want to

do is reach out to you. Yeah, so you can make some frivolous claim that this was somehow your idea. This is already under the umbrella Soroy Industries anyway, m hm, because yesterday you said you didn't want it though, well you didn't need it. We're doing well, I don't need this. We're response like it's a good idea of handing to you for a free I don't need it. Well, Kevin had of miraculous hole out from one hundred and thirty eight yards yesterday for eagle over drove a part four, drove

it over the green. Well, yeah, but that one stayed on the green doesn't matter, all right, what are we doing? We're Danny Kevin Danny. Yeah, I thought you were gonna set it up. Oh sorry, So yesterday we had Larry the cable guy on the show. There you go. He called in, He's gonna be at the Invited Celebrity Classic Great Golf Tournament Lost Calena, celebrity pro am type thing, A lot of fun, a real tournament too. I'm not gonna lie. This was a rickety

interview for the first half. Yeah, connection was wobbly. He was wobbly. You know. Uh, maybe have been early for him, Might have been early for him, or yeah, maybe he did hit the you know, hit the bottle. Who knows. Probably not, I don't know, but he you know, we got to the point that we had a plan

the whole way. We did want him to give a shout out to Danny's son, Malcolm, my little three year old, because he's Toemader in the movie Cars Ye and all the Cars sequels, And we were reluctantly talking about it. We're kind of like, yeah, I mean, it's almost like asking a celebrity for autograph. I don't if I want to do it, but let's get there and let's do it for Malcolm. We got the force field that is Malcolm. It from Malcolm. There's nothing we want do for

Malcolm. Absolutely, we have made her on the phone. Yep, we do this for Malcolm. So we asked him and he obliged with no pushback whatsoever, and delivered us this gold a little customized shout out to my three year old for me to play for him later. Hey, Malcolm, Hey, this is Maid like I made it without the tump boy I might have heard, and the Tornader in the trading park, the juice fans of mad If you ever get to the Radiator friends, Dad Gum, you and me,

we'll do some backward driving. All right, ten, Malcolm, don't forget you and me. We's best friends. See you later. This is made. He it was awesome. Okay. When he says don't forget you me his best friend, you and me, we all teared up. Yeah, everyone that heard it teered up. Christina was driving in. She's like, yeah, I don't know, tell little kid that uh huh direct from his favorite movie car character. Uh huh? Is that's magique. It was

really really cool. So I go to pick up Malcolm. He's at his mom's and I show up and not only is his mom there, obviously there, but his grandma, Audrey's mother, is there. He calls her mam, all right, and I didn't know. I didn't know man was going to be there. I was like, oh, hey, what's up. So we're, you know, talking, and she listens like Audrey's mom, Malcolm's Malcolm's mother's mom listens to our show. Hi Mam, Hi mam.

And so she she goes, I missed the I had to get out of the car when you know, I heard part of it, but I didn't get to hear the whole thing. So I was like, well, let's kind of set this up. So I look, I've got about four different videos. I'm trying to figure out how to do this. So this is me and I think Audrey is filming me kind of setting this up for Malcolm, okay, okay, And this is me telling him what happened. And

I did recording and somebody wanted to tell you a special message. Okay, So that's him and he's looking at me, So play what we just heard. Now. Let me let me preface this by people that have toddlers around this age know this dynamic and their brains aren't developed enough to in real time process information because they're all just emotional basket cases. They don't know, like, they don't know how to process information like this that creates an emotion.

So something that you would think is very positive to them in great news, it hits them in a way that they don't know how to express their their feelings on it. It could be a big a feeling of elation and a lot of kids will respond, which you would see see is negative on the surface, but it's just them trying to react in the best way that they know how and after some time they'll they'll simmer down and you'll get a more

authentic expression of what their emotions are. That's only a couple seconds long. This is his reaction after hearing the audio for the first time, like it, I don't like that that he's jumping up and down going when we were playing the audio, He's like, I don't like it. Turn it off. I don't like it. Could do you think he could hear it? Oh? He heard everything, and it was when he heard his name and he realized, hang on. So a TV show that I watched, which

is an animated car or a tow truck. My dad was on the phone with this truck earlier, and he knows me and wants to be my best friend. Hang on, so all of this is just swirling around in his little prefrontal cortex is not developed enough to manage this, okay, so kind of let it play out. And then he uh, he's upset. And then about probably a minute and a half later, he starts figuring it out. He's like, then he wants to hear it. He wants to hear it again. Okay, so I play it for him again real quick,

and this right, Mikey, I'll let you watch this. So look at him. Oh my appear in the door, and you and me we'll do from backward all right, damn, madam, don't forget you and me? We friends later. What So, So he's listening, Yeah, but he's kind of like walking backwards and now he's like registering maybe and then he kind of leans against a wall and rubs himself against the wall. It just kind of like what is happening? So he's being owned back by the audience.

Yeah, he's freaking out, but he's not he's not negative about it. He's kind of like, Okay, let me hear this again and really assess what's going on. This is his reaction once he heard the audio. You'll hear a couple of female voices. It's his mom and his grandma, and here we go, ma'am. Yeah, I think he's made the offer. It's kind of awesome. He says, I want to go to daddy's house and be best friends with Mater. Okay, he lives with you. He's

thinking that he's at your yes, that house. Well, we talked on the phone and he left in this message. He thinks that Mater is now somehow real and he wants to go to my house and hang out with his new best friend, Mater. This goes on, Okay, well, let's go to Daddy's house and be best friends with Mater. Ready to go pay me? I think talk kill you. You want to talk to you? He said, he gave you a message. You send your name two times.

That's Grandma two times. You're so lucky. He's still trying to figure this out. Okay, and then I'll play it one more clout it. He's not mad, he's happy. So this is the cutest one. This is the last thing I've got. So this is once he's kind of processed and listened to the audio again, be so cool you want to be best

friends with? Explain that? Okay, that's so cool, I would be you want to be friends with, Well, we'll go, we'll go get the major truck at the house, and then we can play with Mater and then you can be his best friend. But I don't want. I don't want little Mad. He will the real Mad at his house so they can freaking be best friends. I love what you're trying to maneuver, providing what now I was you heard? I wouldn't. I wouldn't prepared for this.

Like we can play we have a little major car, and he's like, no way, No, I don't want little Mad, little Mater's olden bus a little bit more real? Quick you want, Well, he's radiators free. Yeah, he doesn't live here, thank you, ma'am. You call me on the phone. He's not here right now. I want to make okay, Well, when you guys meet one day, you guys could be best friends. Right. No, that's not working for me today, dude, I was not prepared for this. How was it prepared for the greed

of a toddler? Because now he wants to be best friends with Light and McQueen and I'm looking at ma'am and I go, I guess we're gonna have to book Owen Wilson now too, he's gonna have to meet Larry Cable, the guy. Yes, Oh my god. It was the cutest thing in the world, dude, watching him his little brain filter all of this information and and he deduced that it was time for him to go to my house so he can hang out with Mater. We got to get to your house.

He's there. I did. In fact, it so sweet processing of what's happening and him like I don't like it. And then wait, wait, wait, wait, hold on, he said, Malcolm, that's mad and I'm Malcolm, and I think he said he want to be best friend. Yeah, we gotta get to your house. Daddy. Yeah, but ma'am with the big save, you know, he lives at Radiators. We could hear you spinning. Oh my god, dude, view, well you know he lives in Radiator Springs. That does make sense, Okay, yeah,

okay, ma'am. And once we got to my house and well he you know, we're talking about it, and he did finally grasp it, Mad, like you know how your brother lives in Nashville. Materer lives in Radiator Springs, which is probably close to Nashville, maybe a little further east, but uh, you know, he doesn't live here, but we talked on the phone, like when you talked to Josha on the phone. So he was kind of like, okay, okay, so he's called me on

the phone. Daddy recorded it, but he's not actually here. But he did check the house when he got home, like uh no, no, he was ready for for food at that point. But dude, it was really cute and just funny that the mind of a toddler is just a scientific phenomenon to you can only experience in real real Yeah, all for Malcolm, Thank you, Larry Cable. The MAVs did it all for Malcolm last night too. Plus what Tiger's Not Gonna do allegedly next to ninety seven one to free
