Transcript

You're listening to the downbeat on ninety seven to one. The freak Sports at seven will be up in thirty minutes. But you know what happened with the MAVs last night? And an old friend has got a new job and is now a rival. Oh well, what's the most important thing in the world? Wow? Most important thing in the world. I thought it was pretty

weird. Not weird, just a little surreal. Yesterday on the somewhat popular website Awful Announcing, which has you know, for instance, just a couple of their headlines that you might find today just so right now top of the page, something like al Michael's not retiring anytime soon, says he's doing next year. Adam Silver wants NBA media coverage to become more NFL like you just just things like that. What does that mean? You know, I don't

know. You have to click on it to find out you're not gonna. I was just hoping you'd tell me. I guess I will next time. Can't depend on Yeah, a little softy over there, Jeremy Allen White's wild Ride turns out a terrible driver of that bus, the Suportatorium bus, And that was cool. Yeah, Texas radio host pays World Series bet with Rangers tattoo on his butt, and it's a picture a photo credit to ninety seven

on the Freak. It's a picture of over half of Jeff's ass and then Daisy the tattoo girl with both hands on ass and starting to get the t going. Have y'all seen this? Yeah? I mean it's a headline on a popular website. That is, she is like thirteen inches away from his butthole. Yeah. Some of the content on the air, Jeff was explaining

that he's regular, so she had nothing to worry about. Oh my, he's the same guy though, who during free Fall one back in February, talked about not wiping his butt for a couple of days steel company toilet paper just to clean himself because he forgot. He forgot. But I bet the the ass is a pretty popular zone for a tattoo. Yeah, for tattoo artists not to show it. Yeah. Is she wearing a mask in that photo? Yeah? You would hate for her to get some pooh particles?

Right, she was not wearing a mask. The average tattoo artist has seen a lot more ass than the average person. Yeah. Now, he much like me, and he said this on the Airs incredibly hairless. Yeah, so you don't have to do any pre work. But I bet if you're getting a tat in your ass, you gotta shave up and that's your responsibility, right, or is that the tattoo artists They're not gonna whack you. They're not gonna shave your can. And he didn't have to worry about that.

He was set. If you go in there and you want a thousand, two thousand dollars tattoo, I mean sorry, he said, get the razor. Well, they will shave the area. Yeah that's what I mean.

Yeah, yeah, But as far as like a full, you know, I don't think they're gonna give you a French whack full full pretty kitty, This says, uh okay, this says In response to Bochie's question to Austin Hedges ninety seven on The Freak's, Jeff Kavanaugh went on, Aaron declared, if the Rangers win it all, I'll get a tattoo with the number zero on my ass. Last week, when the Rangers won the World Series, Kavanaugh had a decision to make it is great like a serious article.

He could be like Chris mad Doug Russo, who's shamelessly reneged on his vow to retire if the Arizona Diamondbacks advanced to the World Series, or he could make good on his bet. Kavanaugh put his ass in the jackpot and chose the latter. It's an odd sentence. May I interject something here? I read this article yesterday, and it's funny because when they print the word ass, they just have the letter A and then two asterisks, but they have

a photo of his naked ass right in the body of the article. How is that? Yeah? What does that make sense? They should have put a couple of asterisks on his ass cheeks, yes, or at least like a line of asterisks on his crack, a little pixelated crack, like like they do in Japan's Japan. So the challenge today, that's always a challenge, isn't it so disappointing? It almost kills a whole genre, the whole nation of hard work we don't get to enjoy because of your silly pixelation.

Man. I support y'all absolutely. You just have to make sure that when you're doing your keyword search that you always add uncensored, Yes, exactly. Now, the goal today is can we keep it going on. Awful announcing because I could see the headline Texas radio host peas Or Pants and getting getting some play live on the air. Yeah, I heard this live. This is this is amazing. There's a drop that groups keeps playing that's cracking her

up. But it's just Jeff re pronouncing. Well, Jeff messes up a pronunciation of word and then makes a goat sound and Julie couldn't handle it. This is yesterday and the speakeasy Well, thank you, Celsius energy. You just added a letter and I don't know what letter it was. What is it, Celsius? Yeah, I think you hadd an h because it's delicious and none of us ever mispronounced words, so we have to call you out

on it. I did somewhere down the road. What was that? That was when I was getting down a bad place trying to make words, and I just made that sound as have to do. The next minute that she legit took her headphones off. She has to go to the bathroom. Don't you want to hear that? Okay? Okay, the closed I think that means she probably went a little bit. I think she said she did, okay, because otherwise you're not leaving the room. Look, you didn't suddenly

just have to go. She had an accident. And did she come back and admit follow up? No, she came back in. They she kind of just joined the conversation. No, but then they then they cornered her. Yeah, oh no, And then she started laughing again and trying and explain that things happen. You don't You don't know what it's like to be a woman. Well, yeah, I know it's like to have a urinary tract, right, I don't know. They're different. I don't know.

JJ you for yourself as much? Are they different? To beat myself much? Did you four? Did you laugh hysterically in the Iron Claw last night to where you start op? Yeah, I almost peed my pants and to get excuse me, excuse me, excuse me. I do feel like it's different though for us, like, yeah, I'm not going to go into the okay, good, Yeah, I was doing. I think it's a little different, quicker than in the cancer. I think they have a shorter distance to cover than we do. Yeah, it makes sense. Also,

we have some fail safes, and those don't always work. Don't always work. We have two factory authentications in our pants. In our pants, we have two factory authentication. This is war time somewhere down the road. That was when I was getting down a bad place trying to make words, and I just made that sounds have to do. The next minute of that, sly legit took her headphones off. She has to go to the bathroom. She is leaving. Don't you want to hear this? Okay? The closed

I think that means she probably went a little bit. I think she said she did. I like Kavanaugh goat? I did. I'm pretty sure. What's also, buddy, I think that was during like Mike's mind when we had when he had like some boachy stuff that you didn't nobody knew. And it's funny for him to say, wait, you don't want to hear this? This hurts my feeling. He got his bochie one. Oh my god,

here's where the original this is where the goat came from. I would be really curious to see this, but I will need somebody to This will be part of our GoFundMe for Ranger tickets Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban and concert at the Myerson Symphony Center. Interesting. So the Dallas Simphis. God, I think we could hire just for like, I don't know, a low amount of money, just a laugher to be in studio with us. Yeah, and I'm not saying it's not genuine because Julie laughs her ass

arm and it's amazing and it makes me laugh instantly. And then you got muppet grooves. Yes, so they have grooves muppeting. We don't laugh. We don't have a laugher. Here a quiet laugh, right, and we lean away from the microphone every time we laugh. It's the dumbest thing to do, like we crack up. Well, the comedy first responders can't be I said, responders weird the comedy first responders. It's no joke. It's not a job to take lightly. But there are people mean, we take

this responsibility seriously. Oh just can't come in jacking around all the time. I like that idea a guest laugher. And I also like the idea that if we ever get, you know, pin ourselves in a verbal corner, that we just all turn into goats. Had one dude, I knew, I'll do this gently and I was like, yeah, you know, he's funny. He's funny to a third party friend. The third party friend said is he funny? He? Or does he laugh a lot? And I was like, whoa. I'm like, you know what, Now that I

think about it, I don't know that answer. And in this business, it's like a superpower if you have a good funny laugh and it makes everything sound fun and funny, even if maybe the person or the show or whatever isn't all that funny. But if you have someone laughing like nuts, even if it's just laughing at the idiocy of your people, you're in the room with whatever, it creates this vibe of oh my god, this is all the funniest thing. But kind of comedy snob. I don't said that to

you. What comedy snob? Friend started questioning the merits of the comedy of your other friends. As comedy first responders, we are comedy snobs. And it's a fair question. Is someone who has a funny laugh and laughs a lot funny? No, not at all, Not necessarily they might be. Now it's a double barrel weapon if you're actually funny and have a great laugh, you know, and there are people who have that. Yeah, look out below. I don't want to stay on a Julie run for a minute.

Yeah, still hear this last week. It's so funny. Yes, I got her home run. It's only funny because she said it. But it's bored ready as well? Shall we do that now? Or I mean nothing? Are there any better ideas here? I think we take our ass to the lounge? Ready for a stiffy? What like a stiff drink in the sunset? I hate that the music was playing. Come on, y'all, stiff drink in the sunset lounge. It's a big day. No one's ever called a drink that, Yes they have once I tried the d It

worked for me. I've heard heard. I've only heard the grooves that he stopped the music of course, grooves Ready for a stiff ld. He's like a little devil. He is incredible, and I think Julie's funny as hell. She kills me and she's got an incredible laugh. I've absolutely called it a stiffy before. Yeah me too. I was. I guess maybe they just run to lean into it, but I was maybe they hadn't never heard

of heard of that. Definitely had team Julie there. Yes, he says that it's like oh right, But that's also Juliet Times will paint herself into this light of miss innocent when she's the craziest one of all of us. Maybe maybe Bertha. I love it, please, I love it. This Who? This is going to determine how my entire day goes, how birthdays goes. It's if who I want to know? Who's else is having a good day today? Would you like for a couple of just famous anniversary type

things first, let's start with that was. I think this could really get your day going off on the right foot. In nineteen sixty one, the PGA, the PGA Professional Golf Association eliminated its Caucasians only rule. When nineteen sixty one and when did they actually really implement it? Well, there they were waiting on a good one, and they got at it in ninety seven. I'm sorry. I was a dominant athlete of all time. I think Charlie Sifford was an incredible player. And Lee Elder, yeah, you're a

greatly Elder. And Calvin Pete, my African American. I think that was that's every golf pro excited that when they had him a black friend, they had a black friend. He'll be riding with me today and anything goes to them. He doesn't care what you say. Okay, well, jeez, that's a good decision by the They lifted there. Yeah, I mean, I guess lifted Caucasians a long time ago. Caucasians only on the PGA tours.

I mean, Sam Cook's coming out with change Gonna come and PGA is like, all right, fine, Sam, dude, don't you want the audio that the entirety of that meeting. Yeah, boy, you know that was the board meeting goes close to past, like seven to six, no doubt. Gosh, jeffing golf. Well, what year was the baseball color barrier? Not long before that? Okay, yeah, it wasn't that long before that. So Jackie Robson played, he played in the sixties. Yeah, and I bet it was late fifties. I'm trying to find it.

Fifty five maybe fifty four, nineteen eighty four. Nightmare on Elm Street came out forty seven seven. Wow, okay, so maybe, and that is quite a bit before sixty one. Yeah, look, get them that uh night Barre on Elm Street scared the hell out of me when all was a teen. Yeah, and the one where you can't have sex, you know, it's one where you can't go to sleep. Oh and yeah, you never saw a night rore on Elm Street. Who is Freddy is? Yeah,

Freddy Krueger. He's a pedophile. He's a child killer. Bang anyone. You don't know that? She did shrug her show and put her hands up. Kevin said, you don't know that, so he was question He was obsessed with the screen mass murderers, had been obsessed with teen girls forever. He was killing boys. Dude, that makes it better. I don't know what we're arguing. Dances with Wolves nineteen ninety cried hard, and Dances with Wolves went on what I would consider to be one of my first dates,

which you know, real flimsy cried so hard? Had I told the girl I knew someone who was in the credits, so we could sit there for an extra five minutes. It could be an opportunity to stop crying. Yeah you lied? Yeah, and that was your first date? Yeah, yeah, yeah. My friend was the lighting director. Yeah, yeah, exactly. My friend was a key Grip. And I think I even made up so I just waited for some random name to come by. I'm like, oh, no, Tim, there he is. Even that took a

first date to see Saving Private Ryan. Really, how lame are we saving Private Ryan? This is with brutal It was crying in the first twenty minutes. How heavy do you agree to that? Well? It was a hot These are hot films at the time. I will say that the gal that I took to see Saving Private Ryan was in the middle of a World War Two studies course in college. Oh there you go, so it kind of stone there. Absolutely, So that was your first date in college? No,

No, was she was in college. I was out of college. She was a history muff. Buff You said that wrong? I said buff. He said buff. No, he didn't, I heard buff. I heard buff? Uh shallow? How came out on this in two thousand and one? I had a first date that I cried in the movie two because you know his appearance, because she left when she showed up and you were there. That was a bad movie, right choo? How yeah? Terrible? Yeah? Was it? Uh? Huh? Okay? I was seven.

I liked it No Country for Old Men, but I liked anything Jack Black touched back then give me Saving Silvermen. Besides maybe that one that one Chiao, how does? I was like, he didn't have to do this. It's really bad. But he I think School of Rock was next for him, like, yeah, uh, No Country for Old Men two thousand and seven. That's the one with the guys like I have a really intimidating milkshake. No, so there will be blood. I always get those two

mixed up. How they did come out about the same time. Yeah, they did sort of Texas themed, aren't they well? Western e old timey? Yeah, okay, wasn't No Country for I was in college. You know you you weren't thinking about things. Did you see both of them? No, I did see either one of them. You've never seen either one of those. I always got him confused. I might I may screw the movie up, but I think it was No Country for All Men. And it was norm who saw it, and he was like, this is okay.

Maybe it wasn't No Country for Women. It might have been a different movie because you can easily look this up. But he's like, this is an amazing Texas movie. This is Texas. You can just tell this this this. And then I looked it up and it said entirely shot in New

Mexico. No Country was shot in That's what I saw. So he was talking about it may have been that, or they may have shot a few scenes in New Mexico, but the large majority of No Country was where the sights that were represented in the film, and that, by the way, my favorite movie of all time. Wow, congratulations, Okay, it says No Country was mostly filmed in a small town of Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Some scenes, yeah, such as discovery, the drug deal aftermath were filled in Texas, Marfa and Big Ben, but yeah, whatever, b days. Finally, Luke Frigno's seventy two. Sandra Denton is fifty seven. That's Peppa from Salt from Salt, and Peppa really never knew her real name. Nicholas Chay's fifty Wow. Wow, Jessica Simpsons X. Yeah, it seems crazy that he's fifty though, right, forty three or something? Nicholas CH's fifty? How old's jess Like? I need to fact check this was

he thirty? When he was? He's fifty? Hell's just forty five, collared just like you know, or she's forty three. She's my friend? Still, do you think she's easy to get along with and have a relationship with? Yeah? I do, okay. Chris Jericho fifty three. Great Chris Jericho, the Lion Heart on all the best. I would put him on rushmore of greatest wrestlers of all time and entertainers of all time. Scarface is fifty three. We should freeze on by it if you want. I'm

gonna breeze on by it because of the timing. Okay, Cisco the Dragon's forty five. Okay, pass fun fact about him though, first track of his first ever album, first words he ever says is what I'm about to do. I'm sure none of y'all expected. Incredible way to come out on your first album on the first track. No one saw it. We didn't know you had another album. We don't know who you know. Jim Perry, long time a Card Sharks host, would have been ninety. He's dead,

also dead, fifty two years old. He would have been fifty two. Big pun y'all all the way up to six hundred and ninety eight pounds at one point, Big pun, Big pun hit you with the big guns. That's enough. Did they have to remove him from his house with a crane? Uh? Maybe? Was he not a player? He just crushes a lot. Yeah, I want to say yes, I think I think that's right. I think that's him. Just go good job. I don't know an old friend is now a new enemy. What does that even mean?
